Judging from my visit to a Christian Israeli restaurant the other day, they have dumped loads of non-western peoples to change the heavy PDJT-MAGA voting district I live in. I’ve never ever seen so many non-Heritage American people at this restaurant in my previous visits. I felt like I lived in the Newark they destroyed with the Democrat Muslim mayor whose father got fired from his NJ Poet Laurete position after writing a “poem” claiming Israel did 9/11. The same Ras Baraka Muslim formerly LeRoi Jones who helped run the FBI fronted mosque Muslims for their planned Newark riots to destroy the city,ethnically cleanse it and make it become their Alinsky-Democrat powerbase in NJ.

That is interesting. What state do you live in? My son said he 2 fully garbed (burkas?) heads covered, eyes only, in our local town of maybe 500. In NY our entire county consists of less than 50,000. I had another relative tell me “they’re around”. I’ve never seen any myself. People are extremely prejudice in this area, anyone different ex; we moved here from the city and wow we felt it!

We used to spend summers at a small cabin on the NY side of Greenwood Lake and visit Warwick, Monroe and Rhinebeck, NY on weekends. Pizza, Carvel and the movie theater in town on Saturday night was insane with teenagers from New Jersey. We arrived the day after school ended and stayed until Labor Day. It was incredible back then, Colkitto!
I went up to Greenwood Lake once, was beautiful and very Heritage American. The airport restaurant was excellent
The Taconic State Parkway might be my very favorite highway. I’m sure I’ve driven it end to end almost 50 times. There used to be a great Art Deco diner one exit from the northern end.
We stopped at that diner many times on the way to Bennington VT via Rt 22 and 7. My wife’s parents had a lake house there. You could only access the house in the summer!:

I had a ’66 VW Beetle, ’64 Buick Skylark convertible and a ’63 Chevrolet Corvair Monza 2 door coupe with a 4 speed stick for my wheels when I drove the Taconic myself.

I lived in Russia as an expat from 2015 until Ukraine war started in 2022. Flew Aeroflot from Ekaterinburg to Moscow several times each year we lived there. Always served a full hot meal on the 2-1/2 hour flight.

Will Judge James Boasberg become the symbolic breaking point against Judicial lawfare/Judicial illegitimacy?? As a cancer patient going into my third year of treatment (which will last for the rest of my life, however long that may be), this technology will never be offered unless one is Stage IV. 18 months ago UW turned me down as a patient because “you’re not ill enough. There is already immune therapy available for my particular type of cancer — I’m just not “ill enough” yet to qualify for it.

ALL foreign worker visa permits should be rejected as long as Americans are unemployed in the field they would work in. In the case of strategic and technical fields and work – absolutely NO foreign workers should be allowed – national security, sovereignty, and self reliance.
No arguments about the “best and brightest” either. For starters, the vast majority of foreign visa workers are so far from “the best and brightest” that they can’t even see it. Then there is the simple fact that a significant portion of the truly best and brightest are already in our country. Maybe more importantly, as a nation we must develop our own talent and not sell ourselves to the lowest bidder. Any influx of additional talent should only be accomplished through a pared down legal immigration system of those who truly believe in the founding ideals of our nation and want to become an integral part of our nation. No dual citizenship, no split allegiances of any kind.
In 2024, while the U.S. economy only created 2.2 million new jobs, the federal government approved over 5.56 million employment authorizations for foreign nationals. That’s more than twice as many workers added to the job pool than jobs created.
And it wasn’t an isolated year. From 2022 to 2024 America issued over 18 million work permits through a patchwork of visa programs, asylum cases, student extensions and executive actions. During that same three-year period, only 9.7 million jobs were created.
Millions of hardworking Americans, just like the laid-off parent, the young graduate and the mother returning to work, are entering a job market that’s already saturated. Not because of natural supply and demand, but because the government is flooding the system with foreign competition.

How charming!! I’m partial to his watercolours, gypsy, and his drawings. Perhaps because my British husband is a watercolourist himself. But then again, as my beautiful 17 year old granddaughter is an able painter herself, the autumn and winters paintings have grabbed eye.
I can feel your enthusiasm for them. What a joy to go through every one!
All the beauty leftists have worked so hard to destroy over the decades…in architecture, language, music, art…but the human soul from whence it all comes will not be subdued nor vanquished.

Windmills desecrating so much of it now, and solar panels, which of course will destroy the wildlife. I never thought to see truly ignorant Brits in power who are so keen to lay waste to their God given heritage, their Divinely designed ecosystem…a gift, as is your link.
I’ve spotted a few paintings which have caught my eye and have caused my heart to give a hitch, remembering. Took a canal boat journey once through areas unreached by roads of any description. Simply amazing.

Had to smile. The lady on the bench was reluctant at first to be photographed because she didn’t have lipstick on:) That was the world of my own childhood – women didn’t go out without their lipstick. No other makeup except perhaps for the powder compact discreetly pulled out after dinner, and that was only to check up on the lipstick! (No snark intended. I’m one of those women. I also miss wearing hats and gloves to church on Sundays, and not just on Easter… For me dressing nicely for church was a small sign of reverence.)

Genteel, with standards of what is proper her whole life. As for church, I couldn’t agree more. I don’t know what has happened since I was a child when we always dressed to enter the house of the Lord. Reverence…yes.
I also miss wearing hats and gloves to church on Sundays, and not just on Easter…
Allow not the expectations or ways of others influence you to stray from that what feels right for you Fionnagh.

What a wonderful post! Such a nice story and the pictures were just beautiful. Dogs have been my life companions since I was born and will be until I leave this earth. One of God’s best gifts to humans who get the message sent with them from our Creator. I always feel so sad for people who don’t know the love that comes from a dog or any companion animal really. They bring a peace with them that just is so special. They make you a better person if you accept that love and give it back.

I know that world is gone, but sometimes I think the saddest part is not just that it’s gone, but that so many people have no comprehension of what is lost. These are ugly, mean little people who screech for the destruction of borders and DEI and .multiple genders having no idea what family means.
I pray the world will turn once again and all the people living ugly lives will start to yearn for something better and maybe just maybe a rebirth can happen.
We must not give up because what is at stake is beyond precious.
We older people are often written off, a drain, of no economic value, and thus we become more or less invisible.
In fact, we hold the keys to a world which, while it had its problems and unpleasantnesses, was the complete opposite to the one we travel through at this moment, Mswords. I blame the remorseless ubiquity of technology for a great part of it. Progress? At what cost I often ask myself.
You are right of course. Quizzical bored looks from younger generations who never knew our world which we grieve the absence of. We remember…and we attempt to explain with our stories we hope will be handed down. To perhaps keep some semblance of that world alive through our own children or grandchildren.
I’ve harped on about the necessity of beauty for our souls. Younger people are starved for it, though there’s no way they can know it. And that’s the deliberately designed tragedy which over the decades has been foisted upon them.
That old pendulum swings. I, too, hope that one day the ugliness will exhaust itself, and a rebirth (a modern day renaissance) will happen. In everything, as I outlined above. Through the mercies and grace of God, I pray for it.

The money now is in 529 accounts, special tax-benefited savings accounts that parents often open for their children. Money there until now has been allowed for college expenses, but faced other limits.
The College Fix now reports in Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill” is a change that allows 529 savings accounts “to be used to help pay for a broader range of post-high school credentials, like certification in specialties like auto mechanics or food safety, and related expenses.”

About 39% of self-identified liberal respondents said police killed 1,000 or more unarmed black men in 2019. A little 5% of liberal respondents said that number was more than 10,000.
Some 26% of moderate respondents said police killed 1,000 or more unarmed black men in 2019, with a little more than 3% saying the number was more than 10,000.
A little more than 13% of Conservative respondents said police killed 1,000 or more unarmed black men in 2019, with 1% saying the number was more than 10,000.
Approximately 20% of Respondents self-identifying as very conservative said police killed 1,000 or more in 2019, with 4% saying the number was more than 10,000.
The correct number in terms of the multiple choice survey was “About 10.”
