I haven’t had a lot of luxury time – it’s been very demanding here and I’ll try to expound later. Lots of new things here we are juggling and learning to create a “new normal”.
I spent time in meditative prayer this morning and lifted some among our ranks as my Spirit was led. If I forgot anyone, please forgive me and gently remind me. It is my honor to pray for you. I need to spend some time on the Prayer Thread, but can only do so much. God Is Good and He Knows our hearts.
Betsy – and her son-in-law Brian – for a new liver for him

This isn’t going to slow down anytime soon. It’s simply not “my time” for settling down. It is time to gear up and to engage. I’ve still time in my career years and thus must produce. I’m a host organism, not a scavenger.
My new job is demanding, but I feel God Led me to it, so I am most grateful. I love it, but there’s much work to do. They’re taking away all the quoting from the 13 field reps, bringing it all inside, and I will do it for the five dealership locations. People are ALL OVER the place and there is no consistency – 25 different software applications. Performance is projected at $6M this month; they’re only at $2M. The dealership appears to be dying.
DEI infiltrated and they seem to be utterly confused and desperately needing to retract out of that trap. They have too many meetings – to schedule more meetings – and do very little actual work.
I have already found two major areas of improvement and have developed a process for them to recover lost parts rebates from the manufacturer, but I just need to get four principals in the office at the same time together – for just ten minutes – and we can launch this thing. Making me crazy to herd these cats.
I’ve found billing discrepancies that would make a forensic accountant’s head spin. For example, two units built identically the same, one number off their VIN so built right next to each other on the assembly line, received to our dealer nine days apart – and one machine was priced $7,500 higher than the other. No one noticed. No one asked. Seems it was a matter of different pricing lists – but each was ordered on the exact same day – the convenience of holding one shipment for 9 days longer to gain that profitability bump. I, for one, would question the invoice and now hope they can recover the loss.
My first day, five pieces of equipment were stolen from two of our locations – seems the criminals know a target when they see one. Pissed me plumb off.
I am a bit angry, but I love the work. I love finding and solving problems. I love standardizing things for efficiency and effectiveness.
Now if I can just extricate us from all the damn DEI soft skill personality and behavioral meetings that prohibit us from actually getting work done. None of them seem to believe the books they’re reading – from their grumblings down the hall.
Fortunately, I can work with this – and it’ll take time to earn my street cred and influence.
Kiddo is finished with her high school academics, Financial Peace University, and her second Constitution series. She’s working on her ASVAB online software to improve her scoring and been doing P90X at home to build core strength.
She’s been hired through a staffing agency to work a night shift at a local popcorn production plant five minutes from where we live. Hershey’s took over the Pop Weaver operations (you probably know of them.) The agency is a little sketchy, so prayers there are appreciated that she can get started and begin her time there. That could be this Monday – so we are hearing. It wasn’t supposed to be until the 30th of June. It’s contract work – so duration is uncertain, but terrific experience for her.
The idea is for her to get some “real world” working experience and not just food service experience to increase her mechanical capability, mature her a bit more, and then she’ll enlist in the military. Military could be sooner – it’s not a bad idea for her to spend time in private sector production as she prepares for enlistment. The recruiter is monitoring her performance on the March2Success intuitive software.
All of these things work together with the Vincennes University program – so nothing is being counted out. Just making sure the timing is good and her mind is matured enough to get the most productivity and not enroll her in a college vocational program that she’s not mentally ready for. She’ll get there and it’ll mean more to her, if she achieves it and secures it on her own. So, God only knows how much more time she has at home with me.
Thankfully, my job is demanding and will require me to focus on it, so I don’t get hit with empty nester too hard…. though my Mom-heart and my prayers will go with her everywhere she goes.
She got into another mishap with some online creature named “Phix” and then got her identity stolen, so I had to deal with that with the bank and credit reporting agencies to help protect her identity. She doesn’t have a credit history, but we sure don’t want someone to make one with her identity. Seems the old saying that idleness leads to trouble is quite valid. She needs to get out, apply herself, and get exhausted.
She’s excited. I’m excited for her.
We are attending a small Spirit-led church – but are not quite “at home” yet. It’s 40 minutes from where we live, which is a bit inconvenient. Our Bible Study Fellowship study will begin in September again. We moved to an earlier group – 7 AM EST on Saturdays, so kiddo can still join after her overnight shift – then hit the sack.
It is our new “normal” for us. You are all in my thoughts, and you too…. are carried with me wherever I go. Blessings.

Why The A-10 Thunderbolt II Uses High Mounted Engines
So here is my 2 cents. No ground troops anywhere wants Warthog targeting them. There isn’t a hole deep enough to get away from one when it comes calling.
Yes the A-10 engines are mounted where they are to protect them as much as possible from both guided and unguided anti-aircraft fire. It can fly on one engine and all systems essential for controlled powered flight have redundancy. The Pilot sits in a titanium armor “bathtub”. The aircraft was designed around it’s massive gun.
Based on the operational experience in the war in Iraq there is no combat aircraft capable of ground support missions in the USAF that is more reliable than the A-10. In Iraq at any one time, 95.7% of A-10s were ready for mission deployment. No other aircraft capable of ground attack in the USAF can boast such a record.

We took a timeout and went to see “Mission Impossible – The Final Reckoning” last night. Save your $60 (gulp). We got the real deal going on outside. Who needs the movies?
It kind of sucked in my opinion. Like… how can the bad guy try to kill the good guy, when he needs what the good guy is carrying and the HOW of what he’s using to kill him won’t lead to successful recovery of the doo-hickey gadget the good guy’s got on his person.
Hat tip to the weather manipulators in the arctic, and the “Rising Lion” at the end. I swear – our politics and the Military Industrial Complex are hollywood scripts.
Did I mention it was $60!!! How do these teenage kids DATE anymore? Two adult tickets, one large popcorn (shared), one large drink (shared), and one box of milk duds. SIXTY BUCKS.

But then…hold on to you hat….. a ticket to see the popular show “Wicked” at the Gershwin Theater (I’ve been there – 222 W 51st St. in the Broadway, NYC theater district) next Friday costs between $215 and $384 depending where you want to sit…. And The Lion King tickets for the same night (at a different theater in the same Broadway district) go for $138 to $335. To see “MJ” (dance/musical about Michael Jackson – ought to be good) you’ll need to part with $138 up to $415 per ticket. And of course you gotta get there and stay overnight in a NYC hotel – $$$$$$$, not to mention “risky” personal safety…

This all makes our annual fees for a few subscriptions to movie / TV series streaming services look tiny by comparison…….and we also have 3 or 4 other free (with advertisements) movie / tv series streaming apps on our tv’s.
Oooof… Bari. Hard to enjoy the arts with those lofty prices. However, we have been known to partake in experiences rather than Christmas gifts – enjoying memorable performance with Andrea Bocelli (Savannah found us matching $22 each evening gowns for the event – wasn’t sure I was into twinning with her, but it turned out to be a lovely evening!) and of course our Billy Joel & Sting concert in St Louis in September. Thank goodness we saw them when we did – I knew it would be once in a lifetime – and soon thereafter that now Joel is forced to retire from performing due to brain illness. It was magical – as just by good fortune – we were talking with a gentleman and his young son – who turned out to be the stage hand who connected Joel’s piano and he moved us to the first row. Like being in a dreamland.
There are some performances I would travel and pay good money for. It’s sad that NYC has reverted back to the prior Rudy Guiliani days of insecurity and dankness. What a blessing it is when good True conservative values turn these fair cities… the jewels of our American crown… around.
We can pray for it again. For now, hold onto your money until fairer times. I pray they return soon.
It wasn’t so long ago – traveling the world didn’t seem so dangerous and different countries’ eclectic cultures were a thing of mysterious beauty – not to be soiled by utilitarian automatons who want to codify, objectify, and tax everything.
And doesn’t it feel strange… when we partake now… that we inwardly wonder to ourselves if this will be the last gasp of freedom we experience. I do every day… and then I raise my head up to The Lord and His Will Be Done.

I did indeed visit NYC Broadway during Giuliani’s reign of law & order – between 1995 and 2003. Times Square was radically changed from pre-Rudy days. All of the Times Square peep shows and sex shops had been removed to 10th Avenue or further. Times Square at night – after all the theater shows had ended – was chock full of families, couples and…Police and Private Security Guards posted every 50 ft or so on the sidewalks. All the shops and restaurants were bustling and the mood was light and happy.
My parents had visited a few times in the ‘80s but avoided Times Square when they saw what it had become. They had visited many times in the latter ‘30s and latter ‘40s after the war. We had gone their several times in the latter ’50s/early ‘60s as a family to see the stage show at Radio City Music Hall with the Rockettes and several singers and comedians as well as the regular tourist landmarks – Empire State Bldg, RCA Bldg, Statue of liberty, Circle Line boat trip around Manhattan, Staten Island Ferry ride, Bronx Zoo, Coney Island beach & boardwalk, etc., not to mention eating in a couple Automat Cafeterias (super fun for kids).
My wife & I visited Broadway once again with some friends via a locally organized bus trip for seniors – that was maybe 2008 +/- and even then we both noticed that something had changed…..the place seemed a bit less safe… Police presence around Times Square had dropped off. At our ages it’s pretty certain that we are not going to visit there again in this lifetime. C’est la vie!

The consensus is “Orange Man Bad” but “why” remains a bit of a fluid concept. Anyway 12:30 CST, and we are having our second wave of thunderstorms. A soaking rain and lighting within 5 seems to be quite a dilemma for these morally flexible social Justice seekers. “Man plans, God laughs”

I did not judge anything you stated.
While she is in the news because of her controversial vote followed by her murder, you pointed out her leftwing politics, without qualifying why you made that post at this time.
There’s nothing wrong with noting her politics, but because of the timing, most folks reading that woud naturally assume you thought her politics was possibly connected to her murder.
Why else would anyone point out her voting record at this time, since she has not previously been the subject of any other sensational national news?
I merely stated that regardless of her politics, none of that was justification to kill her and her husband. Maybe the murder was for other reasons and not connected to her politics, we don’t yet know.
Time will tell, unless the authorities cover up / obscure the investigation’s findings.
I know during my 72 years, that many times I had situations come up that I didn’t know how to “fix” or “deal with”. In kindergarden, and elementry school, junior high, high school college and into jobs, some problems would come up. I was taught that “you can solve anything, if you “work at it”. And taught you can “work hard and play hard”. And I was taugh that a real american is an individualist , john wayne, … the American Spirit, we can do anything we set our heart too. And losers and failures were people that gave up.
Well, that way didn’t work for me. Allowing my EGO (mind seperate from GOD Conscious) try to solve me problems built up PRESSURE IN ME! And when the PRESSURE built up, I would eat snacks, or drink, or do other things to PUSH the PRESSURE down, BUT the pressure would start building again and again.
I would call it “THE VOID” and it seemed to come from the pit of my stomach. I tried to fill the VOID with sex, food, booze, tv, movies, etc… but the VOID was still there.
I would tell others about this, but never really felt others understood what I was talking about.
Then I had “death experience” and I caught on fire, … and … bam … I’m in environment where up ahead was this HUGE BRIGHT LIGHT. And yeah, I did see life review, and heard the tiny “negative voice” complaining about “everything”. And I felt I was moving AWAY from the LIGHT.
Then was told to hold on, “other Beings” were deciding what to do with me. So I waited some-where … and woke up on the ground. And back in my body.
Well, that was 50 years ago! And ever since the day I “died”, it has been a “TRIP”, no drugs… but it did OPEN up other dimensions for me. And I had the “good sense” to keep my mouth shut about it”. Didn’t even tell my parents about it. Most people are living with the “VOID in their gut” and just try to cover it up. But the VOID goes into other dimensions … with “good and bad beings in those realms”, just like this earth realm, we all experience “good and bad people”. Same thing in other dimensions. GOD does exist and I had to find GOD and stay close to GOD, … because there are “big, bad BEINGS out there” , in every dimension. I surrender ONLY to GOD, and immediately run to GOD to protect me. GOD filled the VOID! But it takes lots of practice to turn to GOD, so the statement “PRAY WITHOUT CEASING” has a special meaning to me. If you have not “died” before you “die”, you might not understand me. It is ok, hell,… I didn’t understand this stuff before I “died” either. 🙂
p.s. I probably should add with staying connected with GOD vibe, I can go into HELL, Purgatory, Heaven realms, and hang out with all these beings and I’m nice to them … (GOD is my protection… I over the decades I have learned to “TRUST IN GOD”. When I first died, I didn’t know how to handle “hell”, or the DARK BEINGS”… but over the decades I “know” GOD loves all beings … and if they try to go it alone, they will go to “dark” places. But with GOD with me, they can’t “harm” me, … because I already “died”, and FOUND GOD! And yeah GOD IS LOVE.

I will add that one doesn’t even need to ‘die’ to experience another dimension, or to even experience the ‘dark’ places.
God is brought in to fill the void in different circumstances for each person.

Have you ever had someone you can’t get out of your mind?
For me, it’s my wife’s, well ex-wife’s, best friend. She died over a decade ago at the young age of 49 from alcohol related organ failure but I can still close my eyes and see her like it’s 20 years ago.
I accept that people have opinions about alcoholics and I share that, but I loved a human who was a functioning alcoholic, who did positive things in the community, was a wonderful mother and wife and I believe drank to push down her own insecurities.
I’m so glad I hugged her and told her I loved her, only three months before she died, and she gave me no clue she was ill. When my ex-wife called me to tell me the sad news, she never really knew how badly that affected me. I hate to see a good soul gone before its time. It wasn’t Emily’s time. She was a woman of faith so I pray God had mercy on her soul.
Alcohol is a cruel master. God be with those struggling with its grip. I can have a glass of wine and it not rule me. Emily, sadly, nope. Take care.
