I also need to thin my tomato plants have jalapeno peppers growing. So little – they tykes are – but by late July – I’ll have abundance and a green plant fort I’ll hide behind.

Lady, lady, lady!!!! HOWDYYYYYYYYYY!!!! Hugs to you and Lloyd – but maybe I hold off on the hugs and just send ice cubes for the cocktails because 111 degrees is too dang hot! Praying for comfort for you and the fur babies with lots and lots of shade and maybe a gentle cooling rain. You can have some of our rains – seems they are being more frequent here in Central Indiana. I don’t mind, the grass is nice and green, but it put the kabosh on our attempt at a camping trip this weekend (again). Can’t seem to get OUT when we want to and time is slipping away.

Yes, indeed too hot. I used to worry about burros in winter – vet says, no. It’s the heat they have difficulty with. We had a misting system for them, but they won’t stay put in it. So, they have lots of shady areas and a small barn – and if I get too concerned, I hose them down.
I think often of you and Savannah and include you in my prayers. ❤️ 🙏
Well, if they won’t stay put under the misting “spa” you and Lloyd have created then they must not need it. They know your hearts – and love you for your efforts. Love seeing their pictures and your gorgeous gorgeous deserty oasis. I should give you my succulents. They hate me. They’d grow out of a rock with one tablespoon of dirt where you are – and yet I try to give them so much “care”. Foolish hoomans. We spoil with our efforts while we misconstrue their hardiness. At least the humidity is still hovering around 10%. I know folks joke about the “dry heat,” but it does indeed make a huge difference in comfort. Where I come from, it hovered at 95% ! So I am grateful for that (other than the increase in fire danger).

But they, like the Clairol commercial – are worth it – darling!
Good afternoon Woo. Yes they are worth it! I pay my bills first, then provide food for my fur babies and take care of their other needs. Then I take care of my needs and the wants go to a wish list in case I have some extra funds at some point. That is what life is all about. It is worth it as my fur babies give me much love, entertainment and laughs. Personally, I’d rather be around them than a lot of humans I’ve known! Although I can say with great pleasure how much I enjoy the Treepers companionship and love and caring. Have wonderful weekend.

LOL, that is what my laundry room currently looks like! Except 7 are little and one is big. I am trying to find an old playpen as the little ones have figured out how to get out of the laundry basket now. I have to count heads every time I go in there.
Whoa with the skunks! 😁 – the doggos wanted out last night and when I opened the door – Hoooie! Guess what girls? Cross your legs!
We had skunks in East Texas, Corny. They’d let loose in the middle of the night, and it would come through the walls. Even though it has been decades, I can still smell them…ugh.
Good morning Betsy. Yes we have them here and like Soaz, if I smell them, Beau will just have to hold it! Most of the time I think the smell comes from them getting hit on the road. Usually see dead ones the next day on the road.
Kitten update: I put out a tiny amount of wet kitten food on a small plate this morning mixed with warm water. The three bigger kittens delved right into eating it! Two smaller ones also ate, but the two smallest of the kittens did not want any and proceeded to look for momma. Surprisingly, they did not step into it so did not have much clean up, just wiped their faces. The smaller one, a female proceeded to wipe her own face with her paws, licking and cleaning like a big girl. There are three males and four females as best I can tell at this stage. Also, the little girl that cleaned herself also used the litter box.
When I feed momma, I shall feed the kittens again. I read the kittens need to eat at least four times a day.

Always had a “thing” for yellow kitties – from the first as a young kid, Chester, to the last one, Bad Bad Leo.
This is Baby McGee – so called because he started off his kitten life as Maggie (Ala Thatcher), but after a bit of rearranging at the vet, turned out she was a he. And the “Baby” part was because he never grew larger than 5 pounds and was in poor health during the precious 5 years he was with us.
His treatment at the hands of the cretins who had him before us left him with one kidney, which was barely functional. If I told you what I would do to those +××÷÷, CTH would ban me.
When we first got him, a long story from which I will spare you, I thought he was grey – covered in filth. And, drawn on with magic marker!
He had a too short, but filled with love life. Apologies for the poor picture quality, but this is Baby on the front wall with one of the concrete lions that reside there. He was every bit as fierce! ❤️ 😸 😸 😸
Oh Corny…can’t tell you how tearfully upset I get when reading of cruelty. Thank the good Lord above for people like you, saviors for the wickedly abused.
I have to laugh at your “transgender”… our sweet tabby whom we had in Wales was Abby for a couple of years, until we noticed she wasn’t…. don’t ask. But by that time he knew his name so we left it.

To this day, I will never understand the cruelty some humans inflict on the creatures God gave us to enjoy. It is, to me, unfathomable.
I’m sure I’ve mentioned this before, but my daughter belongs to a group of volunteers that trap, neuter, and release feral and abandoned kitties. They also rescue injured animals and get treatment for them. She spares me some of the more horrific stories, because I really lose my cool. Yes, unfathomable.
My friend, Beverly (RIP) brought me Baby McGee whom she basically stole from a storage shed where he was being kept in February! It gets very cold here in February, and he was about 6 weeks old. She told me she could never tell me from whom she got him because she was afraid I would pay them a visit. Good thing.
My twin sister in Pennsylvania puts out cat houses for as long as I can remember and also trapped them, got them spayed and neutered and kept them around her place. To this day she has cat houses for any strays and puts fresh food out and water all year. In winter she keeps old blankets in the cat houses and towels in summer. Replaces them all the time while one set gets washed. I believe she has six cat houses. She has names for all of them. They just come and go but know they have a safe place to sleep and eat.
I did the same at the big ranch, and they would hang out at the barn and various other buildings and they knew they would get fed and could get out of the weather.
I have lost track of how many dogs showed up at the ranch and we kept everyone of them and spayed or neutered them as well. And like you, I miss every one of them and can not wait to see them again.

How’s about some steaks on the grill, oven baked potatoes, and some southern greens. I’m down for it. Also, found a bunch of pitted cherries on sale (!!!) enough to make two solid pies. It’s time.
Had to move my Peach Truck order from June to July 1st – but on a happy note the July 1st delivery means prep over the 4th of July holiday and who doesn’t want to blanche and bag fresh peaches for the deep freeze over the holiday? 50 lbs to process – can’t wait. We just finished up last year’s bounty two weeks ago. Just in time.

The ones in the stores are so flavorless, but I have found some in Sprouts which are Texas grown labeled “Campari”. I’d rather go without than have to buy anything else.
My mother in law used to make her own mayonnaise and couldn’t wait for tomat season (as she called them). Fresh anything is wonderful, but come the season we were all in heaven.You go girl!! I bet Savannah will be a huge help getting them ready 😍👍🏻
Yes, Camparis! Only ones to buy in the store. Got lots of green tomatoes on the vines and have enjoyed a few red ones. When it gets too hot here, the tomatoes won’t set. They come back when cooler weather arrives.

Blessed afternoon, dear ‘Woo. I’m glad I got the log-on problem worked out satisfactorily. I so appreciated our Ad rem’s help. Little ‘Tink continues to be her little charming self. I made a mistake putting some med drops directly into her ears. That event so traumatized her that her feral cat background showed up and she hid, only showing up to eat. That lasted for weeks until yesterday when she forgave me and became her friendly self again. Today she was again sitting next to me and, I’m still a bit surprised at this, a couple of hours ago jumped into my lap for some kitty scritchin’.

Best wishes to all the fathers out there (Father’s Day on Sunday) and remembering my own, long departed father with his neatly folded burial flag displayed.
I wonder if my cat is further training me. She had what I thought was a limp and I was doting on her, checking everything and carrying her from place to place when she’d whimper and now she’ll do the whimper and lift the leg routine but will also seemingly run from place to place without any sign of pain or limp.
Siamese breeds have a complex vocabulary so part of me wonders if I’m getting played. Regardless, it keeps life interesting.
Prayers out to those innocents affected by the latest aggressions foreign and domestic. All too often it is the peaceful and innocent who suffer. God be with them and look after their families.

-The Iranian Militia in Iraq said that they will attack. There was also sirens in the US base in Iraq and possibly an attack. I need to look into it. It would be very stupid of them to drag the US into attack.

I tend to think that we will crush them soon because our strikes are systematic and effective. But the deep sites will need the US or a lot more work. Realize that Israel have been planing for this war for decades and have a massive Mossad operation in Iran. It looks like the IDF is now also after the neighborhood of the Supreme Leader.
I could be wrong but I expect him to be assassinated. He deserves he is behind all the mess. All of it.

By 1926 Baird was able to demonstrate to fellow scientists in his lab the first true television and would go on to demonstrate other firsts – a televised display between London and Glasgow in 1927 and between London and New York in 1928. He was also the first to shown color on a television.
Baird worked with the BBC, where they initially used his television system. However in 1937 the BBC switched to the Marconi-EMI system.

What I noticed at the point of rotation was air movement upsetting dust and debris at that part of the runway, which tells me it’s possible the takeoff roll was far longer than normal for that runway. The last time I saw something like that so clearly it was when that C17 mistakenly landed at SXM and had to do a short field takeoff from an airport it was way too large for.
If the ram air turbine noise as heard in other video is accurate, then that would indicate to me that, also considering evidence of electrical systems being inop at the time of takeoff, that the plane had a significant electrical malfunction that cascaded across redundant systems. The RAT would supply essential flight control power, which is evidenced by the plane remaining relatively level and able to input a nose-up attitude, a typical human reaction when the ground is rushing up.
Beyond that, I really haven’t dived into the crash. That one survivor in my opinion will be an enormous help to investigators, even with all the technical information available to them.
I found the 787 to be a very safe, and very comfortable, plane to fly on. I often sat in the same exit row as the survivor, except on the opposite, starboard, side, on the United config planes I flew to/from Asia. The higher pressure and higher humidity did make a difference in long haul flying in my opinion, and it was quieter than the 747’s and 777’s I was used to.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
