Trump is signaling a green light to get the job done. His calls for negotiations are just good cop bad cop game.
If the Iranians will dare attack any US base they will face both Israel and the US which they would rather not do.
Anyways, this is just my humble opinion based on what I heard Trump say.

With all of the Mossad agents on the ground throughout Iran, I can’t imagine waiting forever for an Iranian capitulation. These agents had to stake out their targets for weeks/months. It’s not like they could take their 2-week paid vacation once they were implanted.
