Against the backdrop of a collapse of civil society in Los Angeles President Donald Trump will deliver remarks at an Invest in America roundtable. We anticipate him taking questions from the media as part of the event.

“In the 20th century, during a period of very low migration, we led the modern world in everything: aviation, space flight, technology, national development, medicine. Using our own genius here in this country”
— Stephen Miller
The Industrial Revolution, in my opinion, was fueled by immigrants, both at the core labor level, as well as the idea level. Then, the idea level used the labor level to create machines to replace labor and largely eliminate the need for that ‘fuel’ at ever increasing levels of industry.
The investment became, increasingly, in machines and ever cheaper machines using, instead of domestic labor, foreign, cheaper, labor to produce them, replacing domestic labor more and more. I caught the tail end of it in agriculture, first working with the masses of labor in the fields then later, in my own business, working on and manufacturing machines which replaced them and, ultimately, foreign machines replaced me.
Where it will end I do not know.
As I compose this post, I gaze across the road at a portable sawmill in action, being fed by a compact track layer machine. All made in China. Turning local trees into lumber. No outside labor involved, just one guy who owns the machines.
Turning that around is, in my opinion, a daunting task, particularly with the amount of Chinese Communists in the Republic fully alive and breathing and opposing ‘invest in America’ at every step. Quite the challenge.
CP, methinks as long as we worship money we will live in poverty. The love of it and all…toxic.
Turning anything “around” is as simple as changing one’s mind.
I took a similar path in work {automotive}…
As anyone who has been/is self employed knows, one has to perform both labor and management…
Labor is simple…
Do what your boss tells you to do.
As far as turning the “current” economic condition around…
Easy….

Buy it here or move to Chyna…

How many years did we jump ahead in 1945 when Wernher von Braun and his team walked west?
“very low migration”.
And von Braun qualified for what is today called an 0-1 visa for individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary ability in their field, such as sciences, arts, education, business, or athletics. The O-1 visa requires substantial evidence of the individual’s achievements and recognition in their area of expertise.
INS guys called the O-1 the “Brains, Bombs and Beauty” visa.
Top-level scientists
Defense experts
Supermodels
Not very many.
Both Oberth and Von Braun openly admired, and relied on the foundations already set by, the great American rocketry pioneer, Robert Goddard.
The only reason the Americans did not dominate early rocketry was because the American scientific establishment and to a lesser extent the US military discounted and refused to adequately support Goddard’s seminal work in the 1920s.
At the turn of the 17th century a group of Americam colonists invented government not by entitlement, not by bloodlines, not by the sharpest sword but, simply by the will of the people. It worked! The world took off as minds were liberated, people inspired, advances in every facet of life exploded, imitating by what was happening in America. That continues to this very day. Only sick degenerats would seek to destroy something like that.
Smart Stephen Miller.
1925-1965 – the years of
Regulated immigration.
Not perfect, but light-years better than anything since.
Who else would articulate it as well?
If we want to Return to a stable, high-trust society, we need to limit immigration dramatically.
And deport those who
Entered Without Inspection (EWI) as soon as possible.
Ground Report from Canada. I talked to a truck driver who hauls steel US bound. Loads are drying up big time. President Trump’s made in America policy is working. He has never seen like this. Terrible for Canadians. Great for Americans. I say hold the line President Trump. . We deserve it.
DD
Very interesting observations, Dan, our Canadian friend.
A question: How many other Canadians that you talk or correspond with also hold your view ‘hold the line President Trump, we deserve it.’ ?
Excellent question. I have to report what I see, not what I want to see. Trump carried massive support amongst the Canadian Conservative folk until he started into the “Let’s make Canada the 51st state” talk. At that point Canadians who value their sovereignty turned on President Trump in massive numbers.
Independent conservative podcasts here in Canada have honestly done a remarkable job of connecting the dots and showing how Trump stood to win with a Mark Carney and Brookfield management win. Many conservatives who are now facing 4 more years of Liberals probably will never forgive President Trump for handing Carney a win.
I have always believed that our lack of support for Israel and our support for her enemies would bring us to ruin. We are a nation of unbelievable sin and degeneration. I don’t care how this country is brought o ashes, I just know it needs to happen before anything can get better. If it takes President Trump to do it, I’m fine with it.

Need to get out from underneath that “royalty” thumb
In my humble opinion, the President was doing a great job of trolling PM Trudeau.
As well as creating a discussion of where Canada is heading.
Canada has long had serious differences. The western provinces feel estranged from Ottawa.
Quebec longs to go its own way.
Newfoundland and Labrador have only been officially Canadian since 1949.
With the immigration of the past few decades, Canadian society has changed.
The leftist slant of government is bringing the Canadian economy to a harsh reckoning.
As CTH is predicting,
new trade negotiations are likely to get underway in the near future.
I don’t really know if Alberta will become part of the USA, but I do suspect that the current nation of Canada – with a constitutional monarch – cannot last forever.
My Grandfather, an Irishman – fought for Canada for 3 years in WW 1 – and then realized his future was in America.
It’s said that a person trapped in the struggles of addiction needs to hit bottom, before he can be helped.
Perhaps the same can be said of countries.
Another query would be what he sees coming from the east coast ports like Baltimore and New Jersey into Ontario and Quebec and points west. In one niche, heavy haul, I’ve seen a lot of big stuff, and stuff branded by American manufacturers, coming in on ships from China and India and being trucked to Canada.
One large example is mine equipment which comes in on the ships in pieces because it’s so large. All from Asia and India. Canadians are hauling it. Bellemare is one large entity handling a lot of it but there are others.
In the past I saw scores of metro train cars and engines come in from India to Baltimore and New Jersey and be transported to Canada. If one wishes to see real samples, check out Lucky Banana Heavy Haul on Youtube.
With the report about steel transport into the U.S. drying up, I wonder out loud if Canada is now taking the steel which comes off Chinese and Indian ships in the U.S. destined for Canada and it being used domestically instead of transhipped. I see a lot of that too, particularly in products destined for public works projects. How much of the steel that the reporter was hauling was domestic steel and how much was transshipped?
On a smaller scale, keep an eye on those Great Lake freighters…they ain’t haling peanuts…
Sundance is 100% correct. Canada has become an assembly point of Chinese goods.
Canada used to bring over train car wheels and axles from the US. These loads have stopped as the new wheels and axles are from China.
DD
President Trump might just save Canada too. They can’t survive without the US. As the US goes, so goes Canada.
In short, what’s good for America is good for Canada if you want to be saved from a communist takeover.
We wish you Godspeed.

Solution :
CAPITALISM
The economic condition wherein The People own the “capital” {public Monies}…
And
The Government owns the “ism”.
Money produced in the private sector is called profit and is accretive to the value of the currency {USDollar}.
Money created by Government is called debt and is dilutive to the value of the currency.

President Trump has always known who comprises the backbone of this country.
So while chaos and civilizational destruction continue in the Democrat/Marxist state of California (and if Chris Murphy has his way, the rest of this country…he has openly called for like riots throughout), the rest of our nation, sane and hardworking, are quietly working for President Trump’s America First agenda. God, please smile on these people who work hard for their families and communities…and who have been spat upon (and worse) from a great height by those in DC who despise them.
They in their abused millions have waited and no doubt prayed for decades for such a man as this…
All glory to our Father Who has answered them.
While we wait
“Constitutional structure…”
While the edifice it is supposed to uphold disintegrates into ashes and rubble.
Pillock….
A real stinker !
and you hear pompous and useless rand paul whining about a few billion for the border wall
most infuriating considering his dead silence on the hundreds of unaccounted billions thrown at ukraine
in the best interests of the country, that snake and his ilk can’t be gone soon enough
One of my favorite shows is “Justified”. I really wonder how wrapped up in Boyd Crowder’s organization those Kentucky politicals are – Paul, Massie, McConnel?
Choose the correct answer!
A. Paul
B. Massie
C. McConnell
D. ALL OF THE ABOVE 😇
I wonder if any money planned for citizens was re-appropriated to support illegals the last four years?
Surely a rhetorical question.
No doubt whatsoever, it was done. The only question is exactly how much.
California alone was giving tens of billions worth of welfare in the last several years to these people who have no business getting it.
you sir ain’t no American.

Very funny.
Is this true?

Lol, yes you can’t make this up! Thanks for the laugh!
President Trump is so cool and calm when answering questions that are meant to provoke anger.
He is a man with self control and self discipline. He has information at the ready in response to what ever comes his way without hesitating.
I am reassured listening to him. He’s got this!
And
What an elegant presentation —too!
Look at the table layout, fabric and symmetry.
I am waiting for this administration to address the white collar unemployment market with its glut of H1B’s and offshoring. Things are pretty dire on this front. I just wish I would hear an absolute whisper about this from this administration. Its as if 60% of the work population doesn’t exist to them
Allowing for the typical Commie slant, here’s a NYT article on that topic, with AI looming large in the matrix.
“That is the troubling conclusion of my conversations over the past several months with economists, corporate executives and young job-seekers, many of whom pointed to an emerging crisis for entry-level workers that appears to be fueled, at least in part, by rapid advances in A.I. capabilities.
You can see hints of this in the economic data. Unemployment for recent college graduates has jumped to an unusually high 5.8 percent in recent months, and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York recently warned that the employment situation for these workers had “deteriorated noticeably.””
https://archive.ph/kqaVys
I went looking for hard BLS numbers on the trend but came up empty. Any data to share?
Don’t believe it…AI is doing some entry level calcs/work…but the majority of entry level work is being shipped offshore or given to cheap Visa workers. I have seen it up close. It is NOT all AI. AI is being used to “explain it” away. I work in public accounting..they have shipped pretty much all the compliance work the entry level associates used to do to India/offshore…now we have a bunch of recent accting grads with zero way of learning the basics of audit and tax…it isn’t right and I wish more people were to talk about it…
You have to ask yourself “What did the recent college graduates graduate from”? The answer is: nothing! They didn’t learn a damn thing! They were indoctrinated. Look around. Nothing works very well. The labor pool that industry has to choose from today is uneducated. In the late nineteenth century, students in school had to take an eighth grade exam to pass. I would be willing to bet that 85 percent of todays college graduates would fail that test.
SD, you mentioned a “collapse of civil society in Los Angeles”. I would suggest that “civil society” is functioning exactly as designed–it’s all part of the global Revolution. “Civil society”, comprised of NGOs, think tanks, universities, and government institutions, has been part of the attack on America for many decades; now it is being mobilized against MAGA.
I spent my working years in all of these circles. There is no preserving the elements this matrix of oppression and seeing any kind of freedom from its insidious poison at the same time.
The problem with incrementalism is that by the time the Huns are burning down the city, “civil society” tells us that the Huns are people too. “Civil society” never was our friend.
Would say that an armed society is a polite society. H/T Robert A. Heinlein
I don’t think they would be feeling so froggy if they didn’t have so much free reign to commit violence with impunity.
Per DeShaney v Winnebego County and Castle Rock v Gonzalez, law enforcement has no duty to protect crime victims whether facing active or prospective threats.
So, I take it to mean we’re on our own. I assert that they simply stay out of the way and leave peaceful law abiding citizens to tend to their own God given right to self defense and stop pointing their guns and lawyers at us when the bad guys attack. Or else. That’s my position on the matter.
I’ll leave it at that.
Sam Walton believed in America. However, just like Walt Disney– his heirs are woke pieces of 💩.
Christy Walton is a WalMart heiress. She is calling for a National Day of Defiance on June 14 — targeting our president.
It is so convenient for me, living in the hot desert, to do one-stop shopping at 6:00 a.m.
I am advocating a Nationwide Day, Week, or even the rest of the month of June –defiance against WalMart.
* Blessings to you who already boycott them.
My point is– we patriots need to invest in America.
I keep buying products from Mike Lindel when I absolutely do not need any more, pillows, sheets or slippers!
God bless America!
Let’s invest in patriot businesses ! ♥️🇺🇲
Yes, as one example, a significant one, I chose to spend a month’s SS check on a U.S. made ballistic helmet manufactured entirely in Texas, though the company also offered a different, heavier, item manufactured in China (the ballistic shell) and finished in Texas. Expensive but a top drawer item. If it saves my life, they promise to replace it for free and their reputation tells me that’s not pie in the sky. Same with body armor. Constructed in the U.S. and tested by independent patriots with live fire.
What I do, for more mundane items is to use Amazon as a search index. Find stuff there and trace it to small businesses and independently verify them as domestic producers. Then deny Amazon their cut and go direct, even if it costs more. Sometimes it is more, sometimes not. I don’t niggle them with ‘hey it costs less on Amazon with free shipping’. If it’s a product I value, that’s the value.
Choices. I wish I could buy everything locally produced but I’m surrounded by trees and sand. Civilization isn’t nearby and I’m old and my eyes aren’t the best. Adapt and overcome.
🎯💕🇺🇲
America must and will grow out of its debt. We cannot simply cut and be stagnant.
If the Govt’ grows faster than our incomes…. like they have been, local state and Federal… we aren’t growing out of anything even with tanible growth at the base level!!
