We planted a lovely little red oak a year and a half ago to replace a large tree that had been taken out by a microburst. Yesterday was a difficult one for my family. My cousin’s husband died unexpectedly – a lovely, kind, thoughtful, intelligent man. And, a proud Navy veteran.
Moments later, another cousin, more like a brother to me, let me know his long time prostate cancer reared it’s ugly head as a spot on his spine.
I’ve shed so many tears, and said so many prayers – time to rejoice over this Blessed Day. Love to you and yours. ❤️

I also remember this, I am curious as to how or why there was a live round left in the tank for him to fire off?
I was actually wrote the Headquarters Investigative Summary for this event. I was the Active Duty Director of Organizations and Training for the California Army National Guard when this event occurred. Interestingly, the Army Guard NCO who was the on-scene advisor to the SDPD was SFC Bob Reynolds, a Master Gunner, who was my Master Gunner when I was a Tank Company Commander. There was never any main-gun or machine gun ammunition in the tank, it never fired a round of any kind, and it was stored and locked correctly in the Armory yard. The perpetrator in question had been a tank crewman during his tour in Germany and knew of a trick regarding the driver’s hatch on the M60A3 that allowed you to jump hard on the edge of the hatch repeatedly and work the locking lever inside loose. The Commander and loaders hatches on the turret were correctly padlocked, and there is no external locking grommet for the driver’s hatch. The incident ended after extensive damage to many vehicles and property in San Diego when the perpetrator high-centered the tank on the freeway divider, preventing the tread on the left side to maintain traction and immobilizing the tank. Once it was stationary, SFC Reynolds, witht eh keys to padlocks, helped the SDPD officer up onto the turret, opened the tank commander’s hatch, and the police officer, after repeated orders to stop trying to move the tank, fired down into the drivers compartment, killing the perp.

The presentation was a revelation of scientific and mathematical exegesis of the Shroud of Turin.
As an interested student of the authentic presentation of religious artifacts and symbols, I did a verse study in my King James Authorized Version 1611 Holy Scriptures and also found a definition description of the shroud by the highly venerated Wikipedia computer knowledge base. Here is what I discovered:
Jesus was covered in spices and wrapped cocoon-like in clean linen. He had a separate linen napkin covering his head and his burial attire was described as clothes-plural.
[John 19:39,40] Jesus, after being taken down from the cross, was dressed with a mixture of about a hundred pounds of aloe and myrrh. Then they wrapped him and the spices together in ‘linen clothes’ as was the method of the day.
[Matt 27:59] Joseph wrapped him in a clean linen cloth
[John 20:5, 6, 7 ] The unnamed disciple sees the linen clothes lying; Peter next sees the linen clothes lie and then sees the independent linen napkin that covered the head of the dead Jesus was wrapped together in a place by itself.
Dimensions of the Shroud of Turin
A rectangular cloth: 14 ft 5 in x 3 ft 7 in
Of Flax fibrils in a three to one herringbone twill.
The image on the shroud is lengthwise on one side with front and back images meeting at the head. It was folded over him. It is not an image from a wound-up linen cloth. And there is no theory as to why the linen covering the head of Jesus was not with the shroud, nor how his face was imprinted on the shroud, bypassing the cloth that was actually touching him directly.
It is my understanding from my own biblical verse investigation that the Shroud Of Turin, whomever it might be, is unlikely to be the image of Jesus Christ. However, I would like to suggest that they test the material for myrrh and aloe residue just to be thorough. It is a great subject of conversation, nonetheless.

“The great privileges, and yet terrible overthrow of the Israelites in the wilderness. (1-5) Cautions against all idolatrous, and other sinful practices. (6-14) The partaking in idolatry cannot exist with having communion with Christ. (15-22) All we do to be to the glory of God, and without offence to the consciences of others.” (23-33)
(23-33) “There were cases wherein Christians might eat what had been offered to idols, without sin. Such as when the flesh was sold in the market as common food, for the priest to whom it had been given. But a Christian must not merely consider what is lawful, but what is expedient, and to edify others. Christianity by no means forbids the common offices of kindness, or allows uncourteous behaviour to any, however they may differ from us in religious sentiments or practices. But this is not to be understood of religious festivals, partaking in idolatrous worship. WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
