It’s common in our jails and prisons. One of the J6 political prisoners was held in just his underpants in a solitary confinement cell in a VA jail while awaiting trial for months. There were pictures released and nothing was done.
There was the J6er in the DC jail that either lost an eye or sight in one eye while waiting for trial in the DC jail. There was another J6er that was denied his cancer drugs – basically a death sentence while awaiting trial.
And don’t think they don’t do this and worse to anyone in jail or prison. America needs to have an honest discussion about corrupt cops, prosecutors, judges, prison guards.

He can’t pardon since it’s state, but he should have DOJ investigate every inch of any state building looking for the slightest infraction……ya know for disabilities act violations or anything. A wheel chair ramp that is a smidgen off spec. A health and safety infraction. Anything, give them a rough rectal exam of every square inch of state offices for federal infractions. And close them off to everyone while inspectors are there.

Is there any reason this can’t be appealed to SCOTUS? Just thinking of other cases (including PT’s) that started as state or city cases, and ended up appealing all the way to the Supreme Court, who overruled the lower court decisions.

Thete would have to be a final decision by the Colorado Supreme Court that somehow involved federal constitutional issues like denial of 4th Amendment rights, and 4 Justices would have to vote to grant certiorari.
It is a very lengthy process.

She has good lawyers but just like President Trump, the lawyers weren’t allowed to present a case. She could not call witnesses or cite the law that she followed requiring her to preserve the election results for 22 months.
The jury was a bunch of 23 year old know-nothings and she is appealing but the Judge is making her stay in prison anyway. She may be almost 70 years old and truly lost her son, a Navy Seal, a few years ago. The Grand Junction police and FBI have harassed her for the last 4 years. Threw her in Jail the night her father passed away among other atrocities.
Her Judge is Michael Barnett (sp)? He is real young too. IIRC
Yesterday someone referred again to the well known Stanford Prison Experiment. This sounds like a similar situation, with the guards becoming increasingly sadistic – or just plain mean.

But the Russians have told Trump Kellog is not suitable for them and they expect someone of “a higher calibre.” Which is why Witkoff is the one who’s been engaging with the Russians while Kellog has only been talking to the Ukrainians. But if the US-Ukraine envoy is an idiot, Trump doesn’t care and it doesn’t matter, and Trump still gets to pay off the debt. I wonder if it was Adelson’s wife who asked him to appoint Kellog. Let’s hope so. She’ll be pissed at how she’s just wasted 100m on a damp squib, but hey, what is she gonna do.
General Kellogg has shown himself as not very knowledgeable about the entire conflict, spouting western media propaganda as if it were the facts on the ground. He is old and doesn’t seem too sharp. Here is the game plan that the forces against Trump will be using for the foreseeable future.
They will attempt to get you to make the perfect the enemy of the good.
Be it the freedom clowns and spending, the immigration hawks with H1B visas, the peace doves with timing, the cultural warriors with total bans of DEI/CRT, the neocons with war fighting, or the swamp dwellers with draining the swamp.
All of them will attempt to get you to believe on whatever issue is the issue of the day that it doesn’t go far enough or do enough.
They will try to make you think that some sub issue of that issue is more important and should be handled first, that since the issue hasn’t been handled yet it won’t be, that we can’t do more than one thing, that so and so is a plant to stop the draining of the swamp, or that because it wasn’t 100% Trump lied. On every single issue, one or more groups will attempt this strategy.
You can’t allow them that power over you. If Trump secures the border and deports 2 million, don’t allow them to reduce that good by them saying well he didn’t deport 2.5 million, so he failed or lied.
You can’t allow them to use the perfect to void out the good in the coming months.
They will try. They already have with the CR and the H1b visa debates. It works, that is why they use it.
You have to keep it in the front of your head on everything about to occur that half a loaf or hopefully in most cases 7/8ths a loaf is better than no loaf.
Do not allow them to gaslight you into thinking the good is the enemy of the perfect.
In the real world, most things are never perfect, but if we try real hard, we can get plenty of good accomplished in the coming 4 years
2 million deportations would be a massive failure. That’s not optimal, that’s failure.
