There is no unique economic benefit to having illegal workers in these roles.
Moreover, much of the spending attributed to illegal immigrants is done with money they receive from government programs, creating an illusion of economic benefit. This cycle—where taxpayer money funds welfare programs that then enable illegal immigrants to spend in the economy—is presented by Democrats as an economic boost. In reality, its a redistribution of taxpayer dollars, not genuine economic growth.
At the same time, Democrats constantly push for higher statutory minimum wages while advocating for increased illegal immigration. This contradiction undermines their own policies—if illegal immigration were halted, wages at the lower end of the labor market would rise organically as businesses adjusted to a legal workforce. No government-mandated minimum would be necessary.
When weighing any contribution to GDP, the real cost of illegal immigration—public benefits, healthcare, law enforcement, and lost tax revenue—must also be considered. The net effect is a drain, not a gain.

Running that agency, I think, requires a more somber professional look. In my opinion. Situational awareness or something. Trump’s Administration has finally taken notice of Rule 65(c) when it comes to Federal Courts:

The court may issue a preliminary injunction or a temporary restraining order only if the movant gives security in an amount that the court considers proper to pay the costs and damages sustained by any party found to have been wrongfully enjoined or restrained. The United States, its officers, and its agencies are not required to give security.
This is not discretionary and the court cannot assess a “de-minimus” security amount either; it must be defensible predicated on the costs and damages that the other party may or will suffer with the evidence of same in the order itself if the injunction or TRO issues until disposition of the case and the posting of said security has to be completed before the TRO or injunction is valid.

The US should not be taking Russia’s opinion into account regarding a European contingent. It must be stationed on Ukrainian soil. It’s not Putin’s business to decide anything about Ukraine’s security.
Europe must unite with all the countries of the world to understand that Russia is the only obstacle preventing peace. Peace through forcing Russia to take all the necessary steps for the sake of peace.

Taibbi is concerned, I believe , about 1st Amendment rights in our country may evolve the way countries in the EU are going arresting people who post things negative to their mission on the internet. V.P. Vance spoke to the EU about our concerns about Free Speech restrictions. Also, the same in the UK.
Of course it is imperative that we keep our 1st Amendment rights strongly defended in our country and stop any momentum to control Free Speech. I question, however, what is allowed to be called Free Speech. I think many activists use Free Speech as a cover to destruct property, intimidate, assault others and generally break our laws.
What should be allowed in the name of Free Speech?
-Intimidate or assault others?
-Damage property?
-Prevent traffic flow on streets and highways?
-Occupy buildings, classrooms, government sites to prevent normal activities?
-Stop others from speaking using loud noise and other disruptive techniques?

Seems to me that we see way too much of activism using unlawful techniques to disrupt normal society and if it’s a leftist supported cause then the media and other leftist are supporters in the name of free speech.
This reminds me of Charlottesville, VA. A group of White Nationalists got a permit to protest the removal of the Robert E. Lee statue in a park. Well the mayor didn’t like it and sued to prevent the permit allowing their protest. He lost the suit so he and the governor of VA came out protesting them making their speeches and said they are not welcome in VA. Of course it became a national event then and protesters from both sides of the argument gathered
which turned into a disaster.
So, the left, on this occasion, had no issue preventing Free Speech since it didn’t align with their beliefs.
So it seems that the Free Speech issue, like so many other issues is becoming a political driven issue. If some support a certain speech they can do anything they want to get their message out, legal or illegal. On the other hand, if some don’t agree with a certain message then it misinformation and should not be allowed.
The main take away is this was a Visa holder invited to be in the USA. A Green card holder. Not a citizen. The USA does not have to allow non citizens here to advocate for another country. The visa is for learning, NOT to form alliance’s against the US Government.

In my view when a person abuses the imprimatur of an office to pursue a personal agenda they are personally liable. Such is the case when, for example, a mayor or city council decides that their city is a “sanctuary city”. By violating city and/or State and/or United States law the mayor or city council is pursuing a personal agenda and using the imprimatur of their office to deflect and avoid personal consequences. So when USAG Pam Bondi sues Chicago the perps faces no consequences, the consequences are borne by the taxpayers. It would be wise and efficacious to arrest the perps so that they face personal consequences, not the taxpayers.
