Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

“After being doxxed, DataRepublican shared more details about herself to take back control of the narrative. She revealed her real name as Jennica Pounds, a 100% Deaf and nonverbal database kernel engineer with expressive dysphasia related to autism.
Pounds recently walked away from her role as a senior software engineer to pursue DOGE-adjacent efforts full-time, aiming to work with the administration to cut waste and improve government efficiency.
Her work—now centered around a powerful searchable database at http://DataRepublican.com —reveals the hidden connections between government grants and NGOs, exposing billions in wasteful spending.”

I don’t like to post these extra-long tweets in their entirety, but I wanted everyone to be able to read it if they want. It’s on the popular topic of men teaching boys, and very charming, I think:
Technology has changed.
Human nature has not.
A few years ago, I coached high school football at a Title I school—a low-income school where most kids qualified for free lunches.
After spending a few years coaching varsity, I moved down to freshman football.
We had to teach these boys everything.
How to put on their pads.
What was expected of them.
What it meant to be a football player.
The rules, the discipline, the responsibility—everything.
It was just me and one other coach, for about 30 boys.
The other coach and I had the same mindset: we were all about the kids.
We were competitive, and we wanted to win. We prepared like crazy. But at the end of the day, the scoreboard didn’t really matter to us.
We didn’t tell the kids that, of course. But what mattered was who they were becoming.
We were honest with them. We told them who was going to play and who wasn’t—but everyone had a role. No matter their skill level, each player mattered.
We also kept things simple: just two rules.
Go hard.
Do what we say.
On our end if we told them we were going to give them something or do something if they help up their end of the bargain it happened.
Every day at 3:30 PM sharp, they had to be on the field, cleats laced, chin straps buckled, toes on the line.
If just one kid wasn’t ready, the entire team started practice with up-downs.
Discipline didn’t stop at the field either. If a teacher told us a kid was acting up in class? The whole team paid for it.
But there was a flip side: when they stepped onto that field, they could leave the rest of life behind—family struggles, school stress, whatever was weighing them down. For those hours, they were just with us, playing football.
One of the best moments? When they put on pads for the first time. They thought they knew what hitting felt like—they didn’t.
Some were hesitant, so I’d tell them:
“What I’m asking you to do here? If you did it at school, you’d be suspended or expelled. But here you’ll get a pat on the head, a smack on the butt, and i’ll say, ‘Do that sh*t again.”
They ate it up.
When progress reports came out, a few kids had bad grades. Not our best players, they were guys on the lower end of the roster.
But that day? No practice. Only conditioning.
Why? To make a point: they all mattered. Their grades mattered. Their teammates mattered.
Here’s the part that caught me off guard.
We lost games. A lot of them.
But the kids kept showing up. They told their friends about playing football—not because we were winning, but because they loved being part of something bigger than themselves.
We had more kids kept joining the team as the season went on.
Why?
Because up until that point no one had ever expected anything of them.
Because boys want accountability. They want standards. They need someone to say:
“Let’s see what you’ve got. Let’s test you. You can do more.”
They want to be a part of something that matters to them and share it with other people who it matters to also.
Technology doesn’t change that.

My class growing up, all could qualify for food stamps, lunches whatever but nobody took it. Not one. We graduated with 21 and those who wanted it didn’t dare take it from shame.
We mused at our 20 year reunion how poor we were. I worked since 9 picking up aluminum cans and beer bottles, walked many a mile on the highways. 12 I was splitting and loading wood, summer hauling hay. Later got jobs that were legitimate. Bought my first Vega $310 at 14 had two motorcycles by then.
I’m ruined I guess. All the kids did the same in our school. No queers, trannys, drug addiction came when life smoothed out for some.
We all know the remedy for good kids.

So long… farewell

Patience . . . dear . . .Patience. Your photos each inspire a sense of story-telling. I’ve had dogs for most of my life. From earliest childhood my father’s wonderful birddog, Prince, looked after me when I was in the backyard. With him I learned to trust and love animals.
At that very early age, I learned that, given a chance, a good dog will take care of you. All it required was mutual trust. (I, of course, didn’t realize that my dad was looking on with pride as I absorbed this important life lesson.) Prince was that kind of dog. He even let me sleep with him in his doghouse and share his food . . . long story.
Sounds to me like a story that needs telling
all us dog lovers are waiting
🙂
My man Garrison, how’s the vision coming; better yet… or, need several more days still?
Good of you to notice… and enjoy the picture -stories.
I loved Religion and History classes as a youngster, because of all the stories; and life lessons. Art and Music as well, for the story-telling… or, the story-thinking while creating.
I remember you mentioning sleeping with your dog In his house!
-Write about it, if you’d be so kind.
😎delighted just thinking about it. 😃

Bye N Bye dear Patience . . . 🙂
Re: vision. Had a good visit with my surgeon this morning. She’s very happy with my recovery. Left eye (cataract surgery) is healing well so I’m off the antibiotic eye drips. I’m scheduled for a final appointment on the 20th where we’ll schedule surgery for the right eye.
Visual acuity in my left eye is much, much, sharper than before. The received wisdom is that I’ll still need glasses which is fine: I’ve worn them virtually my whole life. I’m really getting ready for this adventure to be over! Thanks for asking, darlin’. I’ll keep you posted.
👍 👍 🤓
Howdy Garrison. I rarely chime in on your cataract subthreads but glad to hear the healing is happening. My better half had both eyes done sequentially 2 or 3 years back . She healed up mostly as predicted and she’s doing fine….with glasses. I’ve had cataracts for maybe 10+ years but they don’t seem to progress or interfere with my vision yet, so surgery hasn’t been recommended…..yet. PS – I *have* been using Can-C eye drops for a few years so that may be helping to retard the cataract growth…..
Thanks for your kind comments. 🙂
😎
Anytime, Garrison! Love your stories. ❤️
those are good dogs, resisting the empty calories in those pastries …

Make Alberta America… and then, what of B.C.?
“For weeks, President Donald Trump has said that Canada should be America’s 51st state.
He has mocked Canada’s economic dependence on the United States. He has condemned Canadian tariffs and trade restrictions. He has scolded Canada’s free riding on American defense. He has knocked Canada’s porous borders and drug dens. He has accused Canada of colluding with hostile foreign powers and global institutions. He has trolled our prime minister.
It’s delightful. Many Canadians are enjoying the show.
Up here in the cold white north, Trump has set the cat among the pigeons.”
I don’t think we need any more liberals, JB. We need to ship out some of the loon toons we have now.
Listening to something today… disturbed me. (Isn’t there always something that disturbs us nowadays?)
David, our Israeli brother… please don’t be offended by this… hear me out.
It has been revealed that Israel has a political lobbying group called AIPAC that has a lobbying person assigned to every single Republican member of Congress, except Thomas Massie of Kentucky who refuses to take the lobbyists persuasions. Massie was interviewed on Tucker Carlson and explained this “arrangement” and it was very shortly thereafter his bride mysteriously died. His wife was only 51 years old and they were together since high school. They had just finished a trip to Washington State to visit with one of their grown children and she seemed in good health. Her sudden death has not been explained.
Well, on the Redacted podcast I listened to today… Clayton Morris reported that AIPAC has sworn to spend unlimited amounts of money to remove Thomas Massie from office. They especially don’t want him going after a Senate seat there. Thomas Massie also sits on the board of the Ron Paul Institute.
From what I have heard about Thomas Massie, which equates to about 10 hours of podcast listening… I like Thomas Massie A LOT. I like his Spirit, his gumption, and his ability to even cross the aisle to acquire backing for legislative principles that we conservatives and those of us who think Government has overspun out of control.. can agree with.
Here’s the full Tucker interview:
Here’s also a video about Thomas Massie and his wife homesteading on their family acreage in Kentucky.
I do NOT like ANY COUNTRY thinking they can buy votes or coerce the manufacturing of favorable legislation. I want these foreign countries to get the hell out of our politics and get our disgusting, grifting, pay-for-play politicians out of their pockets…. and I want the grifters in our legislative branches moved out of their offices post haste – at the federal and state and locality levels.
I want politicians who are reluctant servants… who truly wants what’s best for the American people… because that is where our government priorities should be. Remove the socio-economic imbalance that prevents the common, but brilliant, person from serving our country. A world where politicians spend $20 Million for a $180,000 a year job… needs to end… now.
Thomas Massie – Off The Grid
Thank you for posting that video J.Woo, I really enjoyed it.
You’re most welcome, JB. I enjoyed it too and I also enjoy getting to know these politicians and what seems to motivate them… besides cartel money.
Evenin’ Woo
Wow – thoroughly enjoyed the Thomas Massie video – were that we had more Reps such as he. Loved his explanation of Prescious.
Very sad that “the love of his life” departed so suddenly and at such a young age.
Good evening, Lady.
I worry for the likes of him and of Elon Musk. Recent Joe Rogan podcast, Elon expressed fearing for his life with his push against the machine.
We can only pray for more brave souls to stand.
Enjoyed your pictures of your burrow friends. So peaceful and happy.
Her -sudden death
still disturbs me, Woo;
especially since I had watched the Massie interview when first it aired.
Strange
Me too, Patience. Nothings been released about it… was it cancer? Why the secrecy?
U.S. Representative Massie knows that he was elected to represent the citizens of his district and it is that simple.
I think he does a good job, Sepp. There was a story of him traveling all night in his wife’s minivan to vote on a bill he knew the public would disagree with. He ate peanut butter pretzels to sustain himself during the travels. I appreciate a guy who would drive all night to throw sand in the machine.
After his wife died, I sent him a care package of trail mix and peanut butter pretzels and sent our condolences and asked him not to give up for the American people.
Probably lame but wanted him to know we cared about him.
Your kindness of offering condolences to him is very fitting and is obviously heartfelt. May Rhonda Massie rest in peace.
I am a firm believer that we need to uplift and edify those who take on so much burden for the American public. It is my hope that others can be encouraged to run though the aversion to the service and the attention that comes with it… is understandable.

EVENING PRAYERS
A Night-time Prayer to Quiet Anxious Thoughts (Psalm 71)
Philippians 4:6-7 says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” When you lay down to sleep and anxiety has a chokehold on your heart and mind, run to Jesus.
“Father God, I am anxious tonight and struggle to fall asleep. Rescue me, Lord, and deliver me. You are my fortress, my strong refuge, to which I can always go. You are my hope and my confidence. Be near to me and come quickly to help me. Comfort me once again. I praise You for Your faithfulness, God. You have redeemed me, and I will always have hope.
In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
A Night-time Prayer for Loved Ones (Psalm 112)
We want the best for our family and friends, and it is natural to worry about those we love. But anxiety won’t help them, and we have a direct line to Someone who can change their lives. When you can’t sleep at night because of your concerns for loved ones, take your worries to Jesus, who loves them even more than You do.
” Tonight Lord, bless ________, Lord, with joy and peace. Teach them to love Your Word and find delight in serving You. Guide them and give them the strength and courage to live a life of generosity and justice and compassion. Make their heart steadfast and secure, free of fear and trusting only in You. I pray for ______ in the name of Jesus, that they would see their need for You and know Your love for them. Help me to find sweet rest and peace tonight trusting in your sovereign care.
In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
A Bedtime Prayer to Trust God
In times of uncertainty and restlessness, finding comfort in trust in God can bring supernatural peace as you lay your head down to rest. This bedtime prayer seeks to cultivate trust and surrender to God’s plan, knowing He loves and cares for you!
Heavenly Father, as I prepare to rest my weary body and mind, I surrender all my worries and fears into Your loving hands. Grant me the strength to trust in Your divine plan for my life, knowing that Your wisdom exceeds my understanding. May Your presence envelop me in peace, guiding me through the night with unwavering faith. Amen.”
