For some it will be meaningless. That’s a given. But for others, it can have the effect of identifying ghost payrollers. Answering takes less time than getting up to get a coffee refill. No biggee.
Based on the response from some of these workers, I don’t see it as meaningless at all. Seems like this is the first time anyone has actually asked them this question, including their supervisors.
If it’s indeed “so meaningless”, seems an awful lot of people are up in arms and threatened by it. It’s a simple ask, and for most of us, it would take about 5 minutes to complete the task. As for “. . . another . . ” really?
Evidence to date supports what Elon did so it was meaningful and not meaningless.

AG Bondi DID say, when confronted these leakers are flipping on their compatriots, …and you don’t flip just cause your threatened with firing, …so I would say, reading between the lines, that people ARE being threatened with prosecutions, and agreeing to “flip” and perhaps even “wear a wire” or give access to their encrypted signal accounts…building an airtight prosecution case, takes TIME.
Being fired does not preclude arrest and prosecution. Assuming the leakers are FBI as previously reported, this will be a first test for Noem, Patel and Bondi.

Having been a boss for 40 years, I see nothing in the request which is unreasonable. The people who refuse to provide a brief summary of what they accomplished last week are the unreasonable ones. It’s a great exercise on the part of management, President Trump, to flush out those individuals who won’t respond to supervision; have a bad attitude; and/or have no accomplishments to report.

Thanks for your post, I have held low level positions, and later on in my career in
management positions. In every position I ever held reports on personal productivity
were a weekly requirement.
Later in my career, I worked for a very well known International Investment firm. World wide, well respected, everyone would recognize the name. Every Friday, without fail, an email was required to everyone’s boss to include accomplishments and updated status reports regarding ongoing projects. But that was not all, we were required to identify Action Plans for the coming week with detailed dates over that upcoming week when mtgs etc were scheduled to address those pending action plans.
I literally burst out laughing that govt employees were being asked to bulletin point 5 items, and the reaction of some was basically, “how dare you to ask me to account for my time”!
These are not serious people, nor do they perform serious jobs! Not all, I would like to think, but geez work in the private sector you princess/prince and catch up to what the real world employees actually do to earn a paycheck!

Karoline is not unlike Elon’s tech nerds, but she’s put her intelligence and talents to a different use..
Karoline works for the Boston radio’s Howie Carr show, she did- until this.
She stepped right in and filled in all last summer I think it was for Grace Curley, Howie’s co-host that was out on maternity leave.
Can you imagine being such a quick study that you could fill in for a three hour talk radio show 5 days a week when that is not what your job even is?
She did and she was brilliant, as you can imagine.
One day, one of Karoline’s former high school teachers called into Howie’s show and said that Karoline was without a doubt the smartest student she’d ever had..
We’re very proud of her, she’s surely a rising star.
It’s going to be so exciting to watch where her career takes her..

The White House just fired the White House Correspondents Assn.(WHCA) as the press pool arbiter, and took direct control of that decision. Coincidental timing?
Elsewhere, Judge McFadden had denied the AP’s requested TRO in its action to reinstate itself aboard AF1 and inside the Oval Office for want of a showing of immediate and irreparable harm.
But menacingly, he had also issued several warnings that the AP could well prevail on the merits under DC Circuit case law of viewpoint discrimination, and suggested the WH may wish to reconsider its position.
Nestled in those warnings was the observation that it was the WHCA that had acted as “referee” in making the pool assignments, not the WH.
Gratuitous remark? Or shades of Clarence Thomas’s publicly mulling the question of Jack Smith’s Constitutional appointment validity?
At any rate, the nature of the presumed available relief (reinstatement of AP to the press pool) has changed:
From eliminating unpermitted discrimination from an accepted norm
To judicial appropriation of the executive’s Art. II right to comprise the pool in the intimate spaces at issue.
In addition to taking control of the room, bringing in other news sources, and her ability to represent the President, I like that she dresses in traditional work clothes. There’s a tendency for female spokespeople, news anchors and commentators to wear skin tight and sleeveless clothing. Pam Bondi also wears traditional work attire.
