Canada used to sell access to their country to the Chinese for a certain amount of dollars. Now China has control of many parts of Canadian law and culture, including their own police force to harass and sometimes arrest former Chinese citizens whom the mainland think need reminding of who controls their relatives still on the mainland.
I find this a horrible idea given the inability of our federal workforce to truly verify who, or what, is entering our nation, if we used the last four years as a guideline.

If one were to truly want to dig into the idea of public lands not already established for military use, national parks and wilderness areas as a subject one will find, these very lands are part of a current lawsuit filed by the State of Utah to have all other lands not so designated returned to the respective States. It will be up to the States to determine the use of their public lands:

The federal government currently receives a percentage of the resources developed by private businesses, whether ranchers through grazing fees, logging bids, oil & gas through their leasing and mining through a production royalty not counting what it makes in fees and licenses.
So it will indeed be interesting to see how things play out, but think it a bit premature to see the scare tweets already being put out into the ethers of the internet as it may simply be parking the payments those businesses pay to the federal govt for the rights to do their business into such a sovereign fund, but selling the so-called assets to the highest bidder is a bit much.
Trump has talked in the past about turning some federal Land back over to the states (state control to manage or sell).
California Joe posted the federal ownership percentages in his post. And honestly, you have to ask yourself why the federal government owns so much of the land that should be under state control…. especially almost 85% of Nevada?
