As many of you are aware, in April last year we lost our primary Ad revenue because we refused to enforce Google moderation rules in our comment system.
The ridiculous demand for content control within our proprietary commenting system was actually the culmination of years of effort by Google and tech allies who were looking for ways to demonetize our platform and control information from this site.
As a direct and specific result without your direct support now, CTH cannot exist.
Retaining our ability to research, share and most importantly, discuss ongoing events, has been my #1 priority. Thank you again for your insight, wisdom, humor, friendship and support.
There are currently two methods to support CTH 2.0, our ongoing mission and discussion. However, depending on your browser settings (and ad blocker software) the second option may not be visible. There is a screengrab below showing what I am talking about.
The alternative financial support appears directly below the PayPal link in a yellow box as highlighted. Some have said browser settings can block visibility, and I have also heard it doesn’t show up on some mobile devices. I am not sure what the technical issue might be other than ISP filters (now becoming more problematic) and/or adblocking software.
Due to my personal requirements for Treehouse user privacy, and my firm stance on not retaining user data lists, the alternative system does not provide a subscriber option. If you use the alternative support function, each time you would want to support CTH, you have to click it and reenter your information. No data is saved.
Financial support through PayPal remains the most efficient and stable way to support CTH. I know they have received a lot of criticism, much of it well placed; however, my own experience with PayPal has been solid. When CTH was deplatformed and under attack from Big Tech (Eye of Sauron) to their credit PayPal stood firm and supported CTH in continuing their service.
While my experience with PayPal seems to run counter to the outcome described by others, the unexpected supportive position from PayPal made a strong impression on me. Again, perhaps unique, not sure why, but my experience with them has been very good. If that ever changed, I would immediately let you know. The data security and convenience of their system is also solid and useful.
Regardless, there are two options: (1) PayPal and (2) Proprietary. Due to legal caution and the data privacy construct, the Proprietary alternative has a 30-day access lag built in. Meaning, if you use that option, in approximately 30 days the funds become accessible, whereas support through the preferred PayPal option is immediate.
Thanks to everyone who helps offset all site hosting costs, our voice and information remains in the fight. We are committed to staying strong, fiercely protective of user data privacy, and anti-fragile so that we can withstand big tech (Google) targeting.

There are so many people who lie. Some do it for pay, some do it to stay in the swamp, some do it because they no longer even know what the truth is.
Having a community of truth tellers and lovers of the truth is such a gift. It isn’t always easy or pleasant.

I had viewed the site for many years but never contributed or commented. I actively started commenting a few weeks after my husband passed away. I needed an outlet and escape. Regular reader for 5 years. Before donating I’d like to understand why recently when I want to watch a video posted by the Treehouse (usually YouTube) it says I have to sign in. Sign in where? I never can access the video.
Would suspect is your ad blocking filter and/or VPN.
When it happens to me (if I want to go to the trouble), I copy the URL and paste it in a separate YouTube tab and it opens.
Sometimes/rarely the YouTube link has an “open in YouTube” option which usually works.
Bottom line for me: I accept the difficulty because I value adblocking and VPN.

That almost sounds like a business opportunity of sorts.
Receive and and process snail mail contributions which are then passed to the recipient via electronic means to preserve their anonymity and security.
Yes, I went to all cash or checks a couple of years ago, mostly to support local businesses.
I would love to add CTH to the (nearly a dozen now) individual investigative reporters I donate or subscribe to.
It is well worth the expenditure to be informed by truth seekers coming from all over the political spectrum. Each will be wrong on something at some time, and sometimes I have to maintain 3 or 4 different possible narratives simultaneously until the truth shakes out when more facts are brought to light. But at least I have the security and independence of not existing in an echo chamber.
Sundance, is there an address or PO Box to which we can support you with personal checks?
Find a friend who can pay using PayPal or credit card and you can just reimburse them with cash or check.

TONS of pop-up ads now. I’m inundated with spam everytime I come here now. Has been that way for about a month. To the point where you can’t read the content until you click away several ads.

I get them too sometimes. I just close them and consider it a small price to pay. If it helps SD I can live with it.
I use the BRAVE browser on both my desktop computer and android cell phone. I do not have those issues, but do have them if I use MS Edge or Chrome. Spectrum is my internet provider and they, too, are awful and will slap a interruption to my content viewing. BRAVE works.

As a reader of a few years here, referred to it by a dear friend and Spiritual Mentor, I have found community and sanity here. Nothing is more important to me than the Spirit of God and Truth and our precious freedom.
Sundance, it’s not much… but a donation was sent. I believe God can take a small offering and bless it to abundance for you and I commit it to His Care to do just that. Our job is planting the seed, His Job is providing the yield.
I know that a few people here have affluence and means – I also know there are many here who struggle and are on a strict budget with little wiggle room. I pray we ALL can trust God as He blesses our stewardship and teaches us reliance on Him Alone.
We got hit with $6,000 in expenses to bring Savannah home when schools gave up their rights to teach academics due to their tomfoolery and we wrestled her out of the darkness of her high school for her peace of mind and academic enjoyment. She loves to learn and she’s good at it – not good at everything, but she has a passion to learn. She is now home in her final year of high school where she is getting a more healthy education through the Potter’s School online. What a Godsend that was!
We will also be contending with a $14,000 loss this year as we sever child support (gladly distancing from a non-participatory narcissist who thankfully lives 2500 miles away) and I will be contending with a job change to get away from Obamacare which limits my ability to earn. I reduced my taxes withheld from my wages to loosen up some funds for Savannah’s schooling – and I knew that I would owe $500 in taxes – however when Obamacare is worked into the equation, I was hit was an additional $1,500.00 penalty despite over-declaring my salary at the beginning of the year. One simply can’t win with Obamacare designed to keep our people poor. No self-respecting doctor even takes the insurance which costs about $700/month for the two of us with my income. Highway robbery. We go to a functional health practitioner and pay cash – it was the only REAL medical practitioner who actually practices medicine and helps us. Obamacare is another travesty of a joke on the American public put in place to chain us and small businesses in slavery.
Appreciate prayers as we work with the changes to be good stewards of what we have and what we continue to trust God more with.
What’s ours is yours and I will always offer a warm meal to any Treeper that makes their way into or through Indiana. We are not rich, but we live Holy and that makes all the difference in the world.

I support this site and I recommend it for anyone with some discretion in their finances. As I’ve posted before, the influence of this site – its moderators AND its commentariat – on the zeitgeist is real and broader than many might be aware. The discussions and trends that often shape political discussion frequently find their genesis here and on complementary sites, among people like all of you. But that would come to an end if we were to let this site go dark.
Rush used to say about conservatives that we don’t need government handouts we just need opportunity – to exercise the initiative and productivity that’s an essential part of the American spirit. (Anyone remember Dan’s Bake Sale?) We are our own ecosystem if the government will get out of the way long enough to allow us to thrive. And that’s what we’re doing here, thriving, influencing the conversation toward a more American, patriotic, and, dare I say it, Godly end.

Several years back, many sites began to moderate heavily–or just dispensed with reader comments altogether–because more and more often, expensively dressed propaganda was immediately disrobed by the hoi polloi in the comments.
Sites that maintained relative freedom of speech in the comments section were then targeted with advertising boycotts by the monopoly-level-power of Google and a few fellow travelers for alleged hate speech or the like.
The Federalist comments section died under such an assault.
