Watch the Presidents hand closely. He passed something to that Marine and then I think he told the other Marine that he had done so.
If I had to guess, I will bet he passed a pair of Presidential Challenge coins to the Marine and told the other so that he could get his from the Marine he shook hands with.
This is very unusual in HS or College wrestling.
The worst I ever got hurt was when an opponent threw and elbow and it drove a tooth through my lip. These days they would have stopped the match because I was bleeding. After a little pressure on the wound from my coach, he asked me if I wanted to continue. I not only wanted to continue I was more determined than ever to pin that guy. I never got it done because the punk spent the rest of the match doing everything he could to get out of bounds. I won the match on points.
I played a full docket of sports in Jr. High and my first two years in HS. In my view, wrestling was the best and most challenging of the sports I took part in.

MACON, Ga. — A Jefferson High School wrestler whose neck was broken during a state tournament match in Macon has been taken off a breathing tube and regained some feeling in his upper body, his father said Friday.
Senior Dominic Haines underwent surgery Thursday. Zach Haines, his father, posted to Facebook on Friday that the breathing tube had been removed and his son had been breathing on his own for more than two hours.
“He is able to shrug his shoulders and can now feel a little bit below his chest. So even in the first 24 (hours) there’s positive progress,” he wrote. “There’s still a lot of unknowns, BUT they’re staying hopeful that things will continue to improve.”
He said Dominic Haines’ spirits were better and that he had been able to eat something. They plan to stay at the hospital in Macon another five days then move him to an Atlanta-area rehab center if no problems arise.
