The problem is they will still get their ridiculously high pensions and retirement benefits. The majority are vested in their pensions and there are a lot that have already “earned” their full pension.
This will leave the young and extremely partisan workers. I know a lot of middle-aged feds that will jump on this because it’s bonus money to retire.
Unless the workers have put in the time (at least 25 years, 20 years for law enforcement) they won’t be able to retire . What they do have is money in their TSP account (like a 401K) which they can keep what they paid in. They won’t be eligible for federal health benefits once their severance package is over (8 months)

The older feds have the time in. They also get money with fewer than 25 years in – just not their full (30yr) pension. The pensions are still pretty good with fewer years. That being said a huge amount of DC area feds are over 50 and have their time – this just gives them a nice check to leave now rather than a year or two from now.
I’m not sure many will leave that have been in for 5 years+ but fewer than 20 years. It would be nice if they did, but I’m guessing they won’t.

What’s ridiculous is you can’t be in the military with a chronic illness or a drug dependent illness. Why should people who can’t deploy be in the military? I know 3 different young men that were medically discharged for auto-immune conditions they developed during service. And they were not yet unable to deploy.
I have a friend that couldn’t be accepted because he had taken medication for ADHD within a five year time period and yet we have allowed “trans” that take a dangerous pharmaceutical cocktails. Folks with regular mental illness cannot serve…and yet we have suffered these fools.
The Commander-in-Chief can do as he pleases. A civilian court does not have standing to question the CINC’s prerogatives, which are absolute – “plenary.” (Nor does a military court.)

There will have to be a UCMJ Hearing of some sort to separate the soldiers involved. Once the course of those hearings are resolved, is when the courts should hear the case.
The courts “should” refuse the case until the full course of UCMJ actions are run…but with a combination of DC Courts and Justice Roberts … who knows.
The President cannot suspend the rules and UCMJ. He can order the removal and initiation of the removal process … the process has to be followed to remove them.

A recent Federal Judge was nominated by Congress. She allowed a 6’5” man pretending to be a woman go to a woman’s prison. His crimes? Raping a 9 year old girl and 7 year old boy. For some reason she thought those women in that prison didn’t deserve to have a safe environment.

It offers FedGov employees ‘deferred resignation’.
The offer is only good until

If you take the offer, your official resignation date is September 30th, 2025.

I assume, if you have 10+ years of service, you are vested, and can access those benefits when you retire at age 62 (or older).
It’s a resignation being offered, not retirement.
However, for those at age 62+, you could take the severance package – enjoy your 8 month vacation with full pay – and then officially retire as of Sept 30th, with your pension, health benefits, TSP, etc.
This letter apparently went out to all Federal Workers.
