Thinking of the problem at the core of the matter is leftist control of government, it reminds me of my Great-Grandmother’s procedure for getting rid of boils, because first and foremost, you have to get out that core or it will keep coming back.
My Great-Grandmother knew about boils because her father who came over from Ireland (County Clare) during the Potato Famine and lived to 103, was a stone mason and that was a side effect of the job sometimes, with those “overhauls” with the straps on the back of the shoulder causing irritations that sometimes became boils. Then her two sons also became stone masons and also experienced boils from time to time.
She would get her big boiling pan on top of the stove going . . . then she would have a bottle, like about the size of the early Coca-Cola bottles, nice and clean, with clean toweling laying out on the counter . . . with her tongs that she used for canning, she would grip the bottle and plunge it into the boiling water and then with a deft move take it out, while doing so pouring out the water that was in the bottle and then laying the bottle on the toweling, start rolling the bottle with the tongs and then pick up the bottle with the toweling wrapped around it . . . it’s really, really hot . . .
then shove it right onto that spot where the boil was, perfectly centered . . . then, woosh! Plop! The heat in the bottle would suck the core of the boil right out and into the bottle, ready to be disposed of neatly.
My Great-Great-Grandfather that was the grandfather of my Mom’s Dad was also from Ireland (Belfast) as was his wife; they first went to Canada and farmed there and about 20 years later came to America, traveling down to Nebraska in three “prairie schooners” (with their nine children). I found through genealogy research more things about him that my Mom did not know – he had actually died from septicemia brought on a by a boil on his shoulder, apparently a similar kind of thing, the boil forming on his shoulder but he had not had it properly attended to and so it festered. I am saying all this because a damn boil that wasn’t completely removed by the core was a disastrous and tragic thing and my Great-Grandmother who knew how to fix them got her “patients” (her father and two sons) to readily comply (probably with a beer first).
Gavin, think about it . . . you don’t have to become an out and out Republican . . . that’s not it . . . you just have to want to help Make America Great Again, restoring the beauty and peace of lovely old neighborhoods by following common-sense measures that have been shown to work and let go of the injurious notions that have caused so much suffering and loss. You are a young dude, still . . . and you have a nice family of children to raise, to set an example for them, don’t you want to set a new course for their next generations? CA is one of the reasons therefore for “RealID” as interstate travel doesn’t want to accept a DL given to illegals. So citizens now have to wait in line at the DMV again to prove their citizenship a 2nd time to get a RealID.
And they let illegals on planes without IDs anyway.
My oldest son in Colorado had never voted in his life. He found out that in the last election someone fraudulently used his name to vote for creepy joe. This time he voted for President Trump.

I was born in SoCal, in a galaxy far away. It was an idyllic time. Nothing but agriculture and ranching as far as the eye could see. Lived across the street from an orange grove and the smell of sweet blossoms would waft in my window in the evening and I would fall asleep so happy. You could afford a ranch style home on an acre lot!
I left California many decades ago as the horrible policies were destroying that beautiful place. I remember when “the water was shut off” due to “saving the smelt fish”, and thousands of acres of agriculture went dry, and thousands of farmers went out of business. There used to be produce stands all over and we always had fresh fruit and vegetables.
The state started charging the farmers $6000 per acre foot of water to keep their crops watered. Tragic.
I remember when San Francisco was a magical place to visit. We would go to the Wharf and get fresh crab sandwiches or sourdough bowls filled with clam chowder. Or we would go catch a musical, an opera, or theatre production in the city without fear of being mugged on our way there. There were clothing outlets where we could go buy beautiful clothes half price.
Southern California beaches were amazing, clean, safe. You could camp anywhere along the coast or in the redwoods. No one randomly shot at you on the freeway. Kids could safely walk home from school without being accosted. The schools were in keeping with parental values. We said the Pledge of Allegiance and Prayed every morning IN SCHOOL. Our teachers were mostly Christian and not blue haired transgender activists poisoning the minds of the children.
As the Democrats took over, the entire state suffered. The land dried up, crime skyrockted, taxes became prohibitive, then the electricity rationing and water rationing…
Newsom wasn’t re-elected. That was all a big cheat. California became a depressing place to live.

As kids, the rule was to come home when the street lights came on. There were no concerns, no problems. That’s now a time gone by.
I left in 2021, a third generation native. Unless one lives in what I call a “pocket”, an enclave like Newport Beach or Corona del Mar for example, the infrastructure has being neglected – tax dollars going to deal with homeless camps and of course supporting the illegal invasion. I remember spring, oranges in blossom, keg party in the middle of a grove, live band, I was young. It was a free country, wild and the road was open.
My parents kept an old car down at the Orange County airport that later became the John Wayne Airport. It was unlocked; the key was under the mat. Dad would fly his Bonanza down there from Glendale airport (Grandview) and then we could drive over to Newport Beach. It was so “rural” I guess you could say. Giant old eucalyptus trees along a country lane, basically.

My family had a dairy farm in Long Beach, Ca and there were also citrus groves. We have a picture of Artesia Blvd when it was a dirt road, next to their farm.
So, the orange groves would burn smelt pots in cold weather according to my dad and no one worried the fumes would kill them. He made it to 90 so maybe they were right.
His brick schoolhouse collapsed in the big earthquake of 1932(?). Fortunately the quake happened at night so no one was hurt.

We would spend time a Castaic Lake (near where the current Hughes fire is) and then also take the road past Lake Piru headed west to get to the city of Ventura to go to the ocean beach. On the way, we past groves and groves of orange trees. Our other stomping ground was to head north to Mount Pinos which was so much fun.
Then they opened the flood gates and let millions of illegals swarm all over the area. They leave their trash everywhere (including dirty diapers), behave menacingly, and overwhelmed the locals. After I graduated from college moved out of state and have watched it become a filthy, dangerous, sh!th*le.
Still pretty nice out that way in the 90s when I lived there, though I think actually more lemons than oranges. But I was in the heart of strawberry country in Oxnard. Across the street (Victoria Blvd) could buy berries picked that morning $9 the flat.

There is only one state laboratory located in Richmond California.
It analyzes all environmental samples in the state. They are very hard workers but there’s only a handful of them. I’m not sure if they’re required to test the soil around the burned homes or if outside environmental groups are permitted to submit reports to the building permit department.
They are still testing samples for haz mats from the Woolsey fire that burned up the Santa Susana field station buildings used by Rocketdine during the Cold War. The fire happened in 2018!
The DTSC told residents that no radiation or chemicals were released in the fire, but radiation was detected in samples nine miles away.

Maybe Gavin can reopen San Francisco’s underwater dump site at the Farrallons National Marine Sanctuary and add to the ship that was filled with pcb’s and other hazardous waste and scuttled somewhere between the Golden Gate and the Gulf of the Farralons! I have pictures of giant crabs crawling over the 55 gallon drums of waste resting on the ocean floor.
I’m being facetious…. There are plenty of landfills available. If needed they could build a large dump site in the Ward Valley! It gets almost no rainfall and the pan evaporation rate is 40 inches per year. It was approved for a Low Level Radioactive Waste Disposal site but the environmentalists (Sierra Club and Greenpeace) lied and said that water from the site would reach Colorado river. Kind of impossible when 40 inches per year evaporates and only a few inches of rain in the wettest season.

There should be an effort to monitor these work sites and deport these good people who are here illegally. Also, there should be an expectation that all communication on work sites be in English. That way the work sites include Americans.
If you live in Los Angeles, it’s clearly intentionally being transformed into a multicultural utopia.
Melania cuts an amazing figure. She’s as erect and still as a soldier standing at attention. The aviator shades are awesome – can’t even see her eyes.
Two things stood out with this meeting:
1. President Trump left Newscum waiting 10 minutes on the tarmac. Newsom fidgeting and doing his weird shuffling was great to see.
2. The handshake! Newscum tried to overpower Trump but Trump was having none of it. It was glorious 😂
Gavin is so outmatched by Trump= he showed up for a photo op..but Trump has his number. Gavin is an empty suit and the Democratic rich guys who lost their homes in Malibu and the Palisades are not going to vote for him next time around. Never foreget the phot of Gavin sitting at the French Laundry, laughing with ten of his frisds- all maskless- just hours after he closed schools, churches and businesses due to Covid. Such a hypocrite.
They rebuilt Iliff Street, I’m guessing in the 90’s? My friends Mom’s beautiful ranch house (from the 50’s) turned into 2 or 3 McMansions. Yuck.

Their politicla strategy is to bestow this commodity of “self-righteousness” onto their followers, who ignorantly believe a leftist-dominated world will usher in for them a child’s parental-style defense against the trials and liabilities of being alive–they will never want in daddy’s arms–if they only believe long enough.
Cradle to grave assurance of protection from the big bad world–an impossible thing for anyone through politics and which no communism or tyranny on earth has ever remotely delivered–is how the Left extorts allegiance from a naive mass of Democrat voters. At the root of their nonsense Green Deals and Global Warmings, this is the fuel for their marketing strategy and appeal to their base.
It’s how a supposedly sentient being can cast a vote for a Kamala Harris, with their own and their loved ones’ entire future on the line.
I’d say the Leftists want your stuff – everything you worked hard all your life to afford, and they want it right now!
