Used quite a bit of energy blowing, mowing, raking and bagging. Phew! Hope the twenty bags hold up till trash day Tuesday.
The trees were truly magnificently colored before the gusty winds finally brought them down. It was not so much of a fall as it was a dump.
I’ll mulch mine up with the mower. Only raking done is to get them away from the house and out of the river rock and bushes up next to the house in places. Burning this time of year becomes problematic because of the wind. Usually I can only do it in the calm of the morning this time of year. My fire 6′ diameter fire ring is full of limbs and dead fall that I need to burn when the opportunity arises.
Blew all the leaves into the center twice and then mowed-mulched twice. BUT, then the neighboring four huge maples dropped. It sure was lovely… orange covered earth.
The lawn can only handle so much mulch.
Hopefully the intermittent light rain ceases
so my bags hold up.
You both have my sympathy. NOT
Some day I’ll write about the little tornado that attacked our oak and birch trees.

We have a vacuum attachment on our riding mower with two cans to fill at a time. No raking or hand bagging. Alas, my husband blew the engine in it yesterday. Sooo, now the yard continues filling with the beautiful leaves until the mower is repaired. Maybe by weeks end. It’s going to be raining anyway. 🤭
