but then I remembered **I am in charge of my perception** so I asked “What CAN I do to turn this around?” “set your intention” was the answer, so I did.
I went and it was an astonishingly fun event; because I decided & determined the above – I set my solid intention.
My list of good surprises even surprised me and I still only have good positive memories of that event.
I wish for you the same experience… SO…
I suggest repeating the above intention – or something even more specific to your needs/desires in fact – several times before going, and also several times on the way there and daily while there. Notice the good stuff in every now moment and pay super-focused attention to those good things when they appear… really drink them in and feel them fully.
That’s what you’ll remember.

Good mornin’ to you, dear Bet. I began posting guitar performances with an intent (erroneous, I think) of never reposting a guitar performance. This immediately, for obvious reasons, proved to be impractical. This isn’t how most of us listen to music, anyway.
‘Tink has been spending time in our back yard. She came in, ate some supper, and then promptly went to the door asking to go outside. The space is safe enough and she sometimes enjoys the freedom. So, ‘Tink cuddling last night. That will soon change, I expect. 🙂
You know how Rabbie Burns phrased it…The best laid plans of mice and men etc etc…😎 We are the richer for yours having gone off the rails 💕 We were below 50 this morning, and I immediately wondered if you and Tink, too, were feeling a cold change. And then I pictured her curled up all comfty (I’ll never pronounce that any other way, courtesy of my then 4 year old granddaughter😉) cozy on your shoulder.
Suddenly, after about a year of our feral tabby taking his leave of us permanently 💔 and not seeing any moggies, we are being visited nightly by four well nourished “orphans”…or perhaps not, we don’t know.
A sweet and unafraid ginger lass (I think…just guessing), a well mannered black tuxedoed spat wearing one, his little front paws with identical white toes (he sits ever so properly at the garage door watching and waiting), another black cat who must have been struck by a car but has recovered (he has a terrible limp and it breaks my heart. He won’t let me come near him…can’t blame him), and a multi coloured male (I think) who uses our back yard as a passage way.
I leave dry food out and kitty treats for whosoever. The word must have spread far and wide.
We also have an old couch in the garage we should get rid of, but it provides shelter and some warmth in the winter for, again, whosoever. I put old quilts under, leave the door slightly up, enough for coming and going (blocking most with Amazon cardboard boxes when the weather gets really colder), and a litter box just in case.
It’s just lovely to have ” company” drop by, even if it’s for a moment only…😌💕

Actually . . . ? From the very first, my interest has always focused on playing the music. I was very much influenced by attending master classes and realizing that I was never going to be that good. I learned to read music in 9th grade band and have relied on that modest skill ever sense. I’m just good enough to do justice to the music I like to play. Beyond that? I’m a perfectly happy amateur guitar player.

I also do not mince words. You, not him, used his stroke as an excuse to lash out at me, knowing nothing about me, accusing me of having no mercy and compassion. There was NOTHING merciless or unkind about my comment to him, and you, not him used Sundance’s post to deflect from and excuse your own bad behavior for lashing out at me, your reasoning being that one’s artistic talent makes it ok to treat people badly. Pray for those in California brush fire areas. Got a brother who was evacuated from his Semi Valley home.
Timmy…: It’s been rather cool in LA, but breezy; at times, windy. I did not know there was a fire out in Simi. Humidity has been low. Currently 42% at my place.
The fire’s around Camarillo. Apparently abou 200 houses burned down. For those not in the area, Camarillo is a place where lots of rich people live.
The like to live in the woods and vote for not clearing dead fall or controlled burns or any of the prove ways of mitigating wild fire threat and damage.
Brother lives in Camarillo. Said Simi Valley because it is more well known to people in other states than Camarillo.
