The media is spinning the event furiously, trying to ignore the disappointment of those who attended. It was easily the largest audience event for Kamala Harris in the entire campaign series, and Beyonce’s blase’ appearance was typical of what the Kamala camp is known for, over-promising and underdelivering – typical smoke and mirrors.

I was going to say exactly the same thing. Unlike Willie, who can just grab a guitar and sing, Beyonce is all about big stage production. She needs a band, dancers, backup singers, lighting, rehearsals, sound checks, you name it. None of that comes cheap and she wasn’t about to risk embarrassing herself or reach into her own pocket and cover the cost.
