I just finished listening to President Trump talk about the crushing inflation rise over the last four years. And now I’m listening to President Trump talk about Harris’s proposed tax on unrealized capitol gains and I’m wondering to myself why I have never heard anyone point out that a tax on unrealized capitol gains is an enormous incentive for the government to maximize the rate of inflation.
I’ll write it out in crayons– not that any regulars to this site need it. If the rate of inflation is increased then rate of increase in the nominal value of assets is increased and thus the tax due on the inflated assets increases.
If the government no longer needs to increase taxes in order to increase revenue, but instead, needs only to print more money, an action that necessarily increases inflation, then I have little, if any, doubt as to which course will be chosen.
Additionally, once one has given up much of their assets or gone into debt to service their obligation to the Derp State, they can crash markets and provoke deflation and destroy the value of your everything, and you lose your home, and they will take it and sit on it even as you sit on the street.
Houses went vacant for several years in the Great Depression as the banks weathered the storm comfortably, while those that built the houses had no home at all.

Anyone else find it strange that President Trump didn’t mention JD Vance even once tonight? Only mentioned him once in
Tempe and in the GA rallies. JD seems oddly absent from these last barnburner rallies in the run up to Nov 5. OTOH the other former VP contenders are speaking at these events and being given a lot of attention. Marco, Vivek, Carson and Gabbard.
Considering how well JDV is carrying out his role and offering powerful rallies himself, I don’t see any worries here.
Not worried. Just find it odd that we haven’t thus far seen the ticket together at any of these final rallies and zero mention of his running mate tonight. I expect JD will be present at least for one of the upcoming rallies before election day.
Sunday at Madison Square Gardens looks to be pretty epic.

JD Vance has been doing a lot of rallies on his own. Sometimes 2 in one day. Plus all his interviews. He’s been working almost as hard as Trump.
He was speaking at the same time in MI as Trump was in AZ.
Given the attempts on Trump’s life, it is imperative that we don’t also lose JD Vance. Way too much risk. That is my guess as to why they are not together.
Lord, keep them all safe because these Democrat whackjobs are largely evil from any angle you look at.
I think we are seeing the strength of the Trump – Vance ticket. They are spreading their time and resources wisely. Vance is doing a great job of walking, talking, and chewing gum at separate events. He carries himself well. People want to see what Vance is made of. I like what I see.
Perhaps we will see a grand finale before the election with both Trump and Vance.
I’ve yet to hear anyone explain to me why President Trump didn’t so much as mention JD’s name last night even as he gathered around him and praised so many other lesser lights to his campaign.
