Spent 16 years off and on exploring high mountain lakes and streams for trout, finding minerals, gold and crystals and hunting wild game. This was in the time before ATVs became common when if the 4 wheel drive road played out you hiked from there. Too many people now and Colorado is politically a tragedy.

This is a most beautiful performance of Joseph Suk’s “Fairy Tale” by the Czech Philharmonic joined by accomplished music students from various schools in the Czech Republic. For those who didn’t know, Suk was the son in law of Dvorak. This work has always captivated me as a lover of Czech music. A much needed escape from this old world, so I thought I’d share so others could join me for thirty too short minutes…and perhaps start their days with some much needed peace.
Some of these students are quite young….notice the tiny flautist who more than holds her own with this wonderful orchestra. The whole performance is perfection and an absolute delight. I hope those who listen will feel the same 💕

So why do you ask about the Omega3?
I’ve posted before about post-COVID issues and I’m so happy to report that one year post starting the regimen with my functional health specialist the markers in my blood improved drastically. Seven markers very suddenly changed, as I have been monitored by medical professionals quarterly to semi-annually for the last 16 years for pregnancy induced Hypothyroidism (which turned out to be identified as Hashimoto’s induced just this year) – so I had a lot of benchmark evidence to know “something was wrong”.
My daily regimen: 120 mg Armour Thyroid (Hashimoto’s – Hypothyroidism), 100 mcg K-2, 10,000 IU D-3, 1,200 mg N-Acetyl Cysteine, 4 grams Fish Oil, 800 mg Berberine Synergy, 400 mg Magnesium Glysonae, 2400 mg Red Yeast Rice, 4.5 mg Naltrexone HCL (for post-Covid symptoms including Parosmia 3 years post infection), 2 brazil nuts (selenium – thyroid health – never eat more than 5 a day they can poison you), 5 grams Super Beets, Liquid IV Hydration. Daily. Asthma inhaler as needed. Roughly prior to work outs and on odd weather days when asthma flairs up.
Please consult your own functional health specialist. Mine is a nurse practitioner and she has been my hero and has saved my life… literally. My vitamins have to be methylated due to MTHFR gene deviation. A lot of the public has this which makes their regular vitamins inert. If you have the gene deviation, look for the word “methyl” in your vitamin ingredients for ability to absorb them.
Blood work came back a week ago – all the markers that were way off charts have been remedied except moderate elevation in cholesterol levels that are uncharacteristic. However, CT scan of heart came back with 0% calcification – all good!
A 51 yo woman with childhood asthma and recurring bronchitis as a youth, who now has MOPD (not chronic – COPD) due to severe Covid infection and lung damage September 2021, who was never able to run the mile in grade school – is now running 0.8 miles with level 7 resistance elliptical, followed by 3.5 miles on the bike interval resistance, and pumping 80 reps of 100 lbs on legs, and 160 reps of 80 lbs on thighs, and 50 to 60 lbs interval reps 80 times on arms with exercising heart rate of around 155 to 160 bpm about 4 times a week.
The long-COVID symptoms, namely Parosmia (distorted smells due to olfactory nerve damage in my brain) is now down to only 3 to 4 occurrences a month, whereas that was constant issue. Imagine smelling rotting or burning flesh all the time. I feel like a new person, but I do wish I could sleep more. Would certainly help if I could see some evildoer expulsions from our beautiful country and people would get back to being trustworthy and doing the dang jobs they were entrusted with!!!
My Treeper friends, please do not be afraid of the cost of direct-pay functional health doctors. There are some programs that exist that are incredibly high cost, but keep looking. Mine was not. $155 initial 2 hour consult. $90 24 hour blood pressure monitor, reading, and diagnostics, plus an artery x-ray for elasticity. $104.50 for follow up visits – have had two in a year. My functional health practitioner follows the protocols of America’s Frontline Doctors – a hero organization of medical providers fighting against the onslaught attacking the medical community.
Now, the blood tests. They are expensive. First was 23 tests to the tune of about $4,000, however my insurance covered all but $600 of that. Just imagine they are trying to get a full body holistic picture of your health and biological processes. My insurance does NOT cover my functional health specialist. She is direct-pay. Second run of tests, 13 of them this time, ran about $2,200 – all covered by insurance. These tests include panel tests like a Comprehensive Metabolic Panel which includes results on numerous data points, so my test results are like my writing… about 5 pages long.

I didn’t “used” to have a brain disorder – no more so than anyone else, I guess, but in 2018, I got into a car accident and it busted my hip and gave me a pretty humdinger concussion that lasted about six months. Was treated by a sports fitness doc who treated professional athletes with impact injuries. Learned a lot and now am very conscientious about what I put into my body and how it affect / aides my brain. 2021, Covid fried me. I was 12 … but I somehow knew enough to get a pair of cheap polarized plastic sunglasses off the drugstore rack for the trip and was glad I did, they reveal all the coral reefs and sand flats under a blazing sun and torquoise waters … amazing
Grandad had an upper-floor retirement condo in Hallandale and we bunked three of us kids on the floor and Mom and Dad might have been in a 2nd bedroom
We took the train down from Philly, got our car on piggy-back for an overnight 2-day train ride so we had something to drive when we got down to Fla
Grandad’s condo was right on a big circular lagoon and I’d hear fish jumping at night
One dawn I heard a really big splash and looked out and there were concentric rings spreading out from the middle of the pond … something big
Another day there was an outboard boat doing some fishing and they hooked into what turned out to be a big leopard ray … it was kinda dragging them along, they had to apply a lot of motor power to slow how much they were being dragged backwards … I don’t have a memory of them landing it, forget how it turned out … mighta been that ray that jumped and made the big splash at dawn
But that 1-day Keys drive was a great experience, I’d recommend it to anyone who’s got a day free in Miami …

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

Blessed morning, Treeper friends!
Trying something a little different with scrambled eggs. For six eggs, scrambled about 2 teaspoons of Smart Balance or butter, dash of ground kosher sea salt in the melted butter, add your eggs. Cook on medium high, until the eggs start to firm up on the bottom and then constantly move them with a spatula until they are ALMOST done but still a little wet. Add two teaspoons of sour cream or creme fresh and let that melt and coat the eggs. Immediately remove from heat, you don’t want to overcook the eggs, as they will continue to cook post heat. Add some chopped chives, or chopped fresh basil on top.
Figure if eggs are going to cost $4/dozen… may as well jazz them up a bit. Delicious.

“Federal Law Forbids Sale or Reuse of This Bottle
4/5 Quart”
I was hiking off trail in some old forest and found a bottle with the above warning moulded into the glass. On the bottom of the bottle it’s marked with D-126, 130 60.
Here is what I learned about it.
“One law required that alcoholic bottles must be embossed with the text, “FEDERAL LAW FORBIDS SALE OR REUSE OF THIS BOTTLE” This law went into effect in 1935 and was repealed on December 1, 1964. Here’s a link to the Federal Register from 1949 which outlines the law requiring this embossing – see section §175.8. The reason for this legislation is fairly obvious: after over a decade of Prohibition, law enforcement was well aware of the illegal trade in alcohol (bootlegging) and wanted to prevent the refilling of bottles by black market businesses.”
The D-126 identifies the distiller and the 60 is the year the bottle was made.
Also, the bottle was empty with the plastic screw cap still on it. The paper label was no longer there. The bottle had been laying out there in the woods for over 60 years. 4600 foot elevation.
