Wind power has become problematic due to the fact that most locations are not windy enough, as Trump suggested.

Wind=part-time energy. A wind lobbyist told me that if I don’t see the turbines moving across from my house when the wind is blowing it’s because the developer doesn’t have a contract with the primary utility in my region. The state lets them build wind turbine installations in our state without a contract with a utility company. All supported by federal tax $. :/
I live in one of the windiest U.S. states (depending on which source you believe, we are often considered THE windiest state.)
The problem is, the wind is all or nothing. It’s either blowing steadily at 25 mph with 40 mph gusts or there’s barely a breath of air. We either have tornadoes or we have dead stillness.
You need consistent wind for stable wind power. Which explains why we have so few wind turbines despite having so much wind.
Hmmm – let me put on my Rep. Hank Johnson thinking cap.
Soooooo – if we put up enough wind turbines to power the world, the blades will create friction in the atmosphere.
So friction creates heat. So the air gets warmer. At the same time, this drag on the atmosphere will make the Earth rotate slower.
So the days will be longer, requiring more A/C.
And the nights will be longer, requiring more heat.
So more turbines will need to be built, to compensate for the increased energy demand, until finally the Earth stands still.
Then people simply need to up stakes and move to the part of the planet with the right combination of tempearture and light/dark.
Problem solved.
Then the Earth will capsize, like Guam….
The opposite will happen; there will be less wind and solar power produced; the ‘government’ will control the usage.
Control of ‘usage’ and food supplies means total control/NWO/Communism/non-capitalistic/Islamic/world that will save the planet.
AND watt can We do about it?

AND the cost of each watt is exorbitant when you factor in ALL the facts on a spread sheet. Without ‘government’ financial support it’s only affordable for each home to have electricity for 1 hour a day; if you choose to run your TV so be it.
The main take away is that ‘government’ will control usage; and pay the bills with your hard earned money –whether it comes out of your pocket or out of your toil.

The “no tax on social security” campaign pledge needs to be better stated as “no tax on social security benefits”, as low information voters will think it means working people won’t be taxed on social security (FICA).
To accomplish this it must go through the congress, and I don’t see a tax and spend congress agreeing to this, whether Republican-controlled or not. The more likely scenario is a compromise, where they increase the income threshold for taxing SS benefits, something which has never been done in the 40 years this law has been in effect.
If they do that, the threshold should be increased by the cumulative amount of inflation for the last 40 years. That would be about 250%. So the new thresholds should go from $25,000 for singles to $87,500, and from $32,000 for married taxpayers to $112,000.
And the threshold should increase each year thereafter by the amount of inflation.
Yeah, and they said ODJT would never get Mexico to pay for the wall, but he got bette than that, 28,000 Mexican troops keep the Cartels back, while we built the wall.
If our Givernment were not horribly mismanaged, with the manufacturing dynamo that he will unleash, combined with energy dominance, stopping the $trillions in exfiltrated wealth from being taken out of our country, there is no need to touch SS or Medicare.

Guess it depends on one’s point of view. I.e., if someone believes that companies lean toward the republican party, then you are correct. But, if someone believes that companies now lead toward the democrat party, then it is open to interpretation.
A company can pass on the cost of inflation to the consumer and still pad those costs. Doesn’t inflation actually fall into the left’s belief system?
Instead of looking at inflation as a bad thing, look at inflation as a ‘good’ thing. What are the ‘benefits’ of inflation? And to whom do these ‘benefits’ align with?
I was there! I got in! My neighbor and I both had to work in the morning and she wanted to go but not alone due to Asheville protesters and the more we texted the more I wanted to go so she picked me up at noon, we parked in the Harris Teeters grocery store parking lot only about a 15 minute walk then shes knew someone already in line and not that far from the entrance and we found him! And we got in once they opened the doors. It moved pretty fast. There was a long line I really don’t think all got in as it was in a small auditorium only 2ooo seats, but it was full.
My friend’s son is working on road reintroduction on 26 which is the road to the airport. He texted her and said Trump had arrived about 45 minutes ago and was on the way..they closed the road down for him. Anyway, he started right on time, talked about an hour…it was great! He can be so funny. He said this was a bit different from his rallies, we were going to talk about the economy and it was an intellectual topic and we were all intellectuals.
So, the mike was a bit loud I thought so sometimes I was not sure what he said; the people were really psyched up…the young guy next me was shouting so loud it hurt my ears…but that’s ok, he was really into it. People of ages..anyway I have to eat something now…starving…but it was well worth it.
PTrump looks wonderful as usual..the working people love him…that’s who was there…fun!

Second, my neighbor, who I mentioned is much younger than me and single, was hit on by the Newsmax reporter. First we were still outside and he came along wanting to interview someone and she said ok. So he talked to her but the line was moving and said he would look for her inside.
Well, he found her and wanted to do a live interview with her and this guy she knew (there were two men we hooked up with, that she knew, and one of them lived out of an RV and worked 70 hours a week to stay alive. The other worked for a government agency and was pretty tight…she plays the dating sites). So he started interviewing her right in there with his camera man and was interfering with everyone else, so they moved down from us and interviewed her and this man live!
It took forever and I thought what the h is he doing. Well get this, he asked her to have dinner with him tonight. She gave him her number, like she is having fun these days as he son is now 19 and has a good job and she is single, and I guess he is going to call her. LOL, the Newsmax guy hit on my neighbor (but she was flattered)…

I just watched a YouTube of Vance in MI today….I think he did great! Likable, was great at explaining the facts and he took questions and gave great answers.

He really seems to be coming into his own and getting very comfortable with speaking, both at rallies and in interviews.
However, I am hearing from several friends that they are becoming increasingly frustrated with President Trump’s somewhat rambling presentations. (These are ardent supporters of DJT) It sounds like he did a very good job today giving his economic speech, which is definitely his strong suit so I hope he continues in that vein.
I understand that “Me-again Kelly” is really pushing this issue as well so President Trump needs to make sure that she has no ammunition for her attacks, IMHO!
I have seen some comments like that – the haters are trying to say he’s losing it. I don’t think so! I give DJT a lot of leeway because of what he’s been through and how hard he works. I can think of NO ONE who could handle what’s been thrown at him. Most men would have been completely broken dealing with the insanity but he’s still full of fight and great ideas. Can you imagine having all tat money and power being used against you day in and day out for years? My husband had something happen years ago – it was wrong and ultimately it didn’t work but it tore up our lives and I was very frightened when the power is used against you.
I know Trump will do a great job again and I’m happy to see that his #2 has great potential.
I am not trying to be a naysayer – and I recognize that the assassination attempt, on top of YEARS of lawfare, would take a toll on anyone, but I was simply trying to say (because I believe there are members of his staff – and possibly his family) who follow CTH, that there does appear to be a sentiment that he is not staying as focused as he has been in the past and that the MSM will take ANY opportunity to go after him!
JD Vance was overly rehearsed, or incredibly nervous, at the Convention and his speech was flat but he has been working on his speaking skills since then and I, along with many others, have noticed a new found confidence and sharpness to his delivery. If President Trump is getting good advice, then he should be hearing that he needs to do the same – hit the issues, make his case, draw the comparison with Kamala’s policies, and then be done!

I have commented many times that people who are successful in business, especially in the rough and tumble world of construction, speak a different language than the hushed tones of the out of touch Ivy League types, but I would rather have the former running the country, as the latter has come close to destroying it!
I truly was not trying to be critical but was simply saying something that I have noticed, and have heard from several people lately, regarding a change in the President’s speaking style. And if people who support him are talking about it, then we know the media will be trying to use it against him.

Most the elderly people I know don’t even make enough on social security to even get taxed. COLA just can’t keep up to the inflation they are hurting bad. Hasn’t kept up for years. Lot of the Obama years they never even got a raise. My guess whatever candidate raises SS substantially if announced as their campaign goal will get their votes that probably means more than anything to them now.
