I am frankly burned out on the Butler shooting, its like advancing arguments on all the reasons why Climate Change and GND are nonsensical.
We Know what they did, and we know they are covering it up, and we know Republicon wing is just as invested as the Dems.
Meanwhile, Karmella is proving to be a lead balloon, and no matter how much hydrogen they pump into her, she can not and IMHO never WILL get off the ground.
And, the administration is continueing to escalate its poking the bear with Putin.

A new poll claims she’s +11 in Michigan. lol And the margin of error is only 1. It’s the 2016 gaslighting all over again, soon we will hear that Kamala has an 80 to 100% chance of winning.

They polled only 437 people in each state. And Trump is up +2 in PA, yet down 11 in MI, lol. How can the margin of error be only 1% with 437 people polled? The gaslighting is out of control.
Thank you! I had a hard time finding the numbers. I saw the total was 4000+ but didn’t even think at the time, and now it’s obvious, that it would have to be divided up among all of the polled states. How can they claim a +/- 1 percent margin of error with such a small sample?
I also did not see the breakdown of party registrations. You need a Morning Consult account to pull all of the poll details, apparently.
I remember when Mondale was leading Reagan by 10 points.

So horrible for this guy. I often think just having computers and phones taken away would be a disaster. I use my computers daily for my job, for paying bills, and for other important life functions. And if I told my employer “My home was raided and I can’t log on because they took my work computer”, you know they would immediately suspect that I had done something criminal and it would adversely affect my employment from that point on.
I guess what we should all do is become official whistleblowers to get that extra level of protection. Use the trick Christine Blasey was told to use, contact a friendly US Representative or Senator.

I received a postcard from a group called BlueWave Productions trying to get my deceased for 12 years now husband to register as a Democrat to vote. I gave a copy of that postcard to our county Registrar of Voters and informed them if I see my late husbands name on the lists of those who vote this year their department will be included in the lawsuits that will follow.
The person at the agency said old voter rolls are often sold to both parties and they couldn’t do anything about that and I said, you sure can if he ends up voting!
There may also be some idea on what you can do to protect your name from being used to vote in Texas on the True the Vote website.
Looks like you need to check this somehow, so some Dem living at your address doesn’t vote D in the coming elections.
Whatever you do, don’t tell the sender of that message that you no longer live at that address or they will for sure use it to send a ballot and then pick it up. Also if you can find out how you can tell if “you” voted in Texas in 2020 and then this year after the election has occurred.
Wanna bet you’ve just become a registered voter in Texas? LOL
You could always respond – “why, yes I did and I will definitely be voting for the convict and NOT the border czar!!”

Regarding the Morning Consult poll showing Harris +11, I just want to remind everyone of the 2016 gaslighting.
I’m looking at 538 but probably Real Clear Politics would show the same. In 2016 Hillary was +11 in early August. The final polls just prior to the election had her at +4. Trump very very narrowly won Michigan.
I remember other 2016 polls showing Hillary with a very comfortable lead over Trump, but as we got closer to election day the gaps narrowed. I always thought it was because the pollsters needed to make the polls more realistic so they didn’t look like absolute goofballs.
I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the same thing is happening again, gaslight polls showing Kamala has an amazing unstoppable lead, so she has a 80-100% chance of winning, etc. All intended to demoralize us and make us feel like it’s not worth voting. Of course it didn’t work in 2016 and it won’t work this year either but the Democrats love to throw everything at the wall and hope that something sticks, right?

Morning Consult has been one of the worst polls, and this election cycle they have tilted toward the Dems as usual in all their polling. They are the worst outlier out there and should be ignored.
For years, the most accurate poll in the country has been The Democracy Institute, run by Patrick Basham.
Here are the exact numbers used by Democracy versus other pollsters. Democracy used Democrats +2 for their latest poll. Meaning pollster Basham gives Democrat voters a +2 point edge- +1 more than the number for the 2020 presidential election. Patrick believes the true number today is Democrats +1. But he is always cautious, so he stuck with +2.
But the polls you’re seeing now in the media claiming Kamala is suddenly popular and gaining on Trump, or beating Trump, are using Democrats +6, Democrats +8, and in some cases a ridiculous Democrats +10. This absurd, ridiculous, biased fantasy produces a “Kamala Miracle.” Voila- suddenly, she is popular.
In the latest 100% honest, ethical, accurate Democracy Institute poll, with the electorate at +2 edge for Democrats, Trump is winning by a landslide of 8 points. And of course, only the Electoral results matter. If Trump even loses the popular vote by 1 point, he’d almost certainly win the election with a large electoral victory.
In Basham’s Democracy Institute poll, Trump wins by 8 points because he is winning by a gigantic landslide with white voters, male voters, independents, and seniors.
Kamala is barely leading among young voters. Trump wins with Hispanics 51% to 48%, suburban voters 49% to 47%, and takes 22% of black votes.The largest voting group in the entire electorate is working class whites. Trump wins 75% of their vote. Kamala wins with women by only a razor-thin 3 points.
Basham says the most important takeaway is that Trump historically ALWAYS outperforms polls- as many of his voters understandably don’t like to tell a stranger on the phone who they support. So, in reality, Trump almost certainly leads by 10 points or more. Which would be the biggest landslide since Reagan.
Want a little more “backup”. Rasmussen, as the other most accurate pollster, in their latest poll, Trump is up by 7.
One other thing. Morning Consult has been around since 2014, but none of their presidential polls ever show up in the 2020 election polls at Real Clear Politics polling. So they are either new to the presidential polling game, or else they were considered not reliable by Real Clear Politics in 2020. I notice that they include them now for 2024.
So consider that as well when you look at their polls. They seem like a cheap, fly-by-night polling firm that doesn’t want to spend much money in the field, as evidenced by their 437 people polled in each state, yet claiming only a 1% error factor.
I read both of your comments carefully and I like what you say, and I agree with it all. I had also noticed that 1% margin of error which seems super sketchy with such a small per-state sample size.
I wonder why Morning Consult was absent in 2020. It would be interesting to dig into that further.
In 2016 I always looked at Real Clear Politics. I’m not sure why I look at 538 now because I know Nate Silver was way off in his prediction that Hillary would have an easy win in 2016, probably because his site is the first offered when I do a search. (Thanks Google, I see what you did there.) I’ll go back to Real Clear Politics.
I don’t go to either of those sites for polling info. I take it as it comes from the polls themselves. I don’t subscribe to polling averages. There are many bad polls in those averages.
For example, in 2020 the final RCP average was 6.7% for Biden in WI. He won by 0.7%.
The closest pollster in 2020 just before the election in WI was the Trafalgar Group, who predicted a 1% Biden win. So I would be apt to trust their 2024 poll for WI, and they just came out with a poll of over 1,000 likely voters with Trump in a 3% lead. This was against Biden, just before he pulled out of the election.
It will be interesting to see the Trafalgar poll results with Trump vs Kamala.

I’m not ignoring it because I think it’s necessary that we understand what the Democrats, their media, and their pollsters are trying to do to win this election. There’s also some humor in it. We’re supposed to believe that the woman who polled so badly in 2020 and dropped out even before the first primary is now so popular that she’s a threat to the incredibly popular Trump? 🙂
The sudden jump in Kamala favorability is intended to excite the libs who really are not excited at all about Kamala, to tell them how much better and more popular she is than Joe, that she’s unstoppable and they should vote for her.
I just realized they never pumped up Hillary in 2016 other than to repeatedly claim she had an 80-100% chance of winning. Most of the polls that year were intended to demoralize our side. It didn’t work, I guess that’s why they’re doing positive gaslighting now.

I’m not sure what Trump’s strategy is for making it sound like he’s considering not debating Harris, but it’s giving the Democrat media material to use against him. The debate is the easiest way for him to knock her out. I hope he schedules it soon.

I’ve been reviewing the OIG report from 2019 about the FISA warrants on Carter Page. (https://www.justice.gov/storage/120919-examination.pdf) I came across an entertaining footnote, there ARE people on our side in the FBI. This is from page 378 of the pdf (the page marked 337).
We reviewed the text and instant messages sent and received by the Handling Agent, the co-case Handling Agent, and the SSA for this CHS, which reflect their support for Trump in the 2016 elections. On November 9, the day after the election, the SSA contacted another FBI employee via an instant messaging program to discuss some recent CHS reporting regarding the Clinton Foundation and offered that “if you hear talk of a special prosecutor .. .! will volunteer to work [on] the Clinton Foundation.” The SSA’s November 9, 2016 instant messages also stated that he “was so elated with the election” and compared the election coverage to “watching a Superbowl comeback.” The SSA explained this comment to the OIG by saying that he “fully expected Hillary Clinton to walk away with the election. But as the returns [came] in … it was just energizing to me to see …. [because] I didn’t want a criminal to be in the White House.”
