Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

Got an invite from Thomas Massie for a private fundraiser for Victoria Spartz. Some familiar names on the host list.
Hmmm…. that sounds like fun to attend just to see who shows up.
Another invite from the Braun campaign to see Don Jr., Braun, Rokita, Jim Banks this Tuesday.
So many RINOs – so little time. Don Jr needs to keep Dad away from RINOs like Banks and Rokita. They are wolves in sheeps’ clothing and they change colors like chameleons.
Indeed, ‘Woo. A couple of years ago, Victor Davis Hanson commented that elected republican politicians were moderate-progressives (AKA “UniParty”) who despised the conservative republican base. These RINO “republicans” are much more politically and culturally aligned with elected democrats than with us.
You are absolutely correct. It is sometimes fun, though, to go and try to talk to them.
They hate it when you express discontent with them.
How else to explain Mike Gallagher choosing a date to resign that leaves his seat open rather than electing GOP candidate to fill it. He’s intentionally leaving the Republican majority at risk. Same with Ken Buck.
If the House turns blue before November, they will nullify President Trump’s victory via 14th Amendment. Traitors all.
Our heads of the Indiana DOE have been doing this sh$t for years. They ruin as RepubliCons and flip to DemonRat mid term.
I swear, I’ve been around this country and I really believe that the RepubliCON RINO boot camp is here in Central Indiana where they practice all their plays.
It’s awful. We grow more than corn in Indiana. We grow dirty politicians.
Woo, Dirty politicians grow in AZ too. I was born in CT. It makes our states look “spankin’clean.”
You can’t beat Danang Dick Blumenthal and Christopher Murphy at sleaze.
Good afternoon Friends!
“‘Slings and arrows of outrageous fortune’ and today I am feeling like the butts on the archery range.
Good afternoon, Monti…
This you?
Bwah ha ha!!!!
One does question 🤔
Hi Betsy!
Not quite me …..yet, lol.
So glad to hear it! It is me some days and other days not.
We both laughed our heads off in this house 😂
It is definitely we!
Bette Davis had it right…old age doesn’t come on its own…alas.
Jay…, You who??!??
😂😎
He definitely left foo young.
LOLOLOL!!!!!
all too true
Probably tastier than something that costs that much, nim. Certainly from what I’ve seen of nouvelle cuisine a lot more of it 😎
And it’s so elegant.
In case anyone needs a place to retreat to…
Or…..
oh yeah, either one…depending on mood.
Exactly!!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
If it’s raining – the blue room. Sunny – the beach cottage.
LOL Betsy…I’ll take the beach getaway…for sure! 👍😎🙋♀️
Beach for summer, sis, agree👍🏻
But for hibernating in the colder times? Well, you know 😉
I’ll bring a tent and flotation device.
-thanks; you are the Besty❣️
One does try, dear P 😊
I’d like the cabin, a few postings back. 🙂
Bet you could get that price down, jb. The owner sounds desperate 😁
Definitely, under duress!
Lol!
Yes, LOL, he did sound a bit ‘at the end of his rope’ as they say. poor man.
Trying to make the best of his disappointment all right…very gallant…sort of…
😂😂🤣😂🤣
I’m hearing a Jimmy Buffet tune….. 😎
Funny….I can hear it, too!!! 😂
Are you feeling blue?
😉 😁
Hmmm. This looks like the same antique blue mansion interior that we saw a week or two back, with the stairs leading up to a balcony library… My mother-in-law (R.I.P.) would have loved these photos because these were her most favorite shades of blue, which was her favorite color.
It is from the same group which was posted when I found it, GB. Blues are tricky for me. Only certain shades appeal and this is one…deep, rich, and beckoning.
🙂
Kim struggled through many samples of blue for our guest room. Almost had the room painted in sample splotches. I was ok with that :p
The blue and gold theme…
I call it the FFA room.
That’s gorgeous! a lovely blue like an evening sky, especially with the gold, Blue and Gold being complementary colors
I will tell her, thanks!
She is very happy with it.
Through the holidays we’re like a B&B with out of town relatives. Kim likes to keep her spare rooms happy and fresh.
Now I could definitely live with that!! 😍
Beautiful!
I bought some dark blue sheets from Mike Lindell some months ago I was not sure I would like the colour as I tend to be a white towels and white sheets sort of person. But I find I really like the color, it is called ‘Lake Blue’.
I’ll have to look. We could use some new ones. Whatever we can do to support that good, persecuted man 🙏🏻
Yes, Bets y I have bought many things from him and I have been happy with them all. May God pour his blessing upon him. He is indeed a good man. He needs our prayer as so may good people do.
Ditto, jb
We have bought sheets, towels, and a mattress topper. All excellent quality. And….the man lives his word. Love to support him.
Ditto here too
Not a great painting for the bedroom :-)) Edvard Munch might induce nightmares……. although a nice shade of blue 🙂
Leave it to you to find the positive 😁👍🏻
Thank you :-))
Memories, memories…otherwise known as “The Good Old Days”…
*sigh*
They made the best chicken and tuna salad sandwiches eva.
tuna sandwich or blueberry pie from the little glass doors at the Horn and Hardarts Automat in Philly
When I was little and saw those automats, I thought they were great and always wanted to go to one.
Such a treat to go….and the milkshakes!!!!
Shakes were almost as great as the baskin robbins 31 flavors in their day. Chocolate Almond ice cream!
Thanks, girl! We need to revisit the one nearest to us. Now I’m fancying some. There are three lads who work there..identical triplets. Sweet young men.
Jamaica Almond Fudge for me! Love that little bit of coffee in it.
I love that photograph, it reminds me of a place I had lunch in a very long time ago when I was visiting San Francisco, I am not sure where in S.F. but I think it was just off Market St.
I remember the older version of Vancouver B.C. (Now its a forest of high rises) but the setting of the city is still quite spectacular. I lived and worked there for many years. There was a famous photographer called Fred Hertzog who delighted in taking pictures of everyday life in earlier days. He had a real gift. I have large book of his pictures.
You can see how he captured the simpler times, and way things were, and was clever enough to know they would not always be like that, and should be recorded. in his photographs. I hope you like them too and bring back your version of, for example. the little corner shops.

A newer Vancouver. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iq6cAsoEd0Y.
A nice relaxing video of Downtown Vancouver.
I’ll say!! Now if Canada could rid itself of that scourge Trudeau 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
They tried to get rid of him a few days ago, it was a ‘parliamentary loss of confidence vote ‘ but somehow he got enough votes not to get thrown out.
I suspect the very left wing, and completely deranged NDP party were propping him up again and a few greasy envelopes likely were slid under the table.
I could be wrong but I think Obama came up to visit him again, as he did just before the last election, when he also mysteriously won despite no one ever admitting voting for him.
I know…saw Poilievre make the announcement. Hopes thoroughly dashed for our beloved Canadian friends.
We were so disappointed. Thank you for your kind thoughts for us..
What lovely photos, jb. Big sighs from me…better times. Our small town of Llangollen had one high street with dozens of small shops.
Two butchers, two bakers, and even a candlestick maker! Little offshoot roads which led to the beautiful River Dee.
It has all changed now since we left, and not for the better. But our memories are sweet of a good life filled with precious people. Even if we didn’t know names, we knew faces. Idyllic and very much missed. Thank you for this, sis 💕
Llangollen is a lovely place Betsy. I know how you must miss it. and all it stands for, the people and faces you knew. I totally understand, and I have been there but it was a very long time ago. I like the smaller towns and villages. They are so human in scale and not so suffocating as large cities as Vancouver has become. I could never live there again and it’s so different as it was less ‘diverse’ it had a Scottish/English feel to it. a feeling of a shared heritage and history. It seems colder now, less friendly people don’t smile at each other in the streets as they used to. . and its a little strange to me. As for Cheshire where I was born it has also changed a lot as everywhere has, and I could not go back there either. Same problems. It is not the same place.
Betsy, do you have google earth, Sometimes there are glimpses and little scraps of the place you knew that are still there. Go and visit by google earth, go down to the streets. I had mixed feelings. People who presently live in the house where I was born, so long ago, had the nerve to upgrade and add to it. Grrr. I always had a silly dream that one day I would go back and buy it, and make it as it was in my childhood. Now it is not even the same house.
There is little town on Vancouver Island called Qualicum Beach. I do not live there but know it well. Go down on google earth and ‘walk’ about the place. That’s the scale of buildings and separate little shops I love.
Its sort of in two halves on the village part higher up from the coastal part. I think you would like it.
Betsy, My son came home from Church with palm leaves long ones so I waved them in the house towards the window and welcomed our Lord. ‘Please come very soon dear Lord we do so need you.!’
Me too! And egg salad. Also at Grant’s lunch counter. Then, going to look at the goldfish and little turtles.
I figured those two pictures would get some attention, Corny 😉😁👍🏻 Isn’t it lovely to remember?
Oh yes! When my girlfriends and I got old enough to go without Mom, we thought we were sooooo cool to sit there – all sophisticated and such!
We had a store in our little town, called Diskay. It was the discount outlet for Grant’s. And IT had a discount basement! Ha ha. Did a lot of shopping there! Good times, Betsy.
The best…did we fully appreciate them? Probably would have done had we been able to see where we are now. Progress, “they” call it. Not in my book. I’m morphing into Thoreau in my older age.
I’d switch out that past for today without hesitation. And, would just love to have the grands experience it. 😔
“if you love me, you’ll just let it go”
EVENING PRAYERS
Purloined from another site to share, duchess. When I read this I thought of you immediately, with all your beautiful uplifting poetry. I knew you would appreciate it, dear friend 😘🙏🏻
Awww…Bet !!! So wonderfully honest !!! Tanks !!! ❤️❤️❤️
I wasn’t sure if anyone would be able to read it, it’s so small. I am so glad you could 😘 I loved it🙏🏻
Duchess,
I had lunch today with a friend after a class I take in metal working (lots of good in using hammers and torches!)
I just sent these to her because she needed them. Thank you. 😊
I don’t know about you guys, but I think this looks delicious!~
Even sounds good!
Oh boy do they!
Looks great…..of course it might be mystery meat in there…..lol
Don’t ask, don’t tell.
An Israeli satire about the BBC. Funny.
The BBC are odious leftists, David, as you know. This is great! More of it please!!
😃 Excellent.
Excellent, and So true, and so many gullible idiots believing that Israel is the bad guy. Sometimes people that you thought would know better. However it is enlightening to discover they were not the intelligent and caring people you thought they were. So some good came out of the disappointment. As for the BBC, they are utterly ridiculous and have been for decades.
I know colonel sanders, but who’s on the right?
Alice Cooper!
Oh, thank you!
It’s coming. Arm up and know how to use it.
Ha!

I don’t see Kenji today. Hope all is alright.
I noticed the same.
Angel’s Perch FULL MOVIE – The Hardest Journey is the one that leads you Home
When his grandmother Polly is found wandering outside one morning, Jack, a successful architect, must travel back to his tiny hometown in the mountains of West Virginia to deal with her worsening Alzheimer’s. But what was intended to be a quick, under-the-radar trip becomes complicated when no local nursing home can take Polly. Torn between the career opportunity of a lifetime, caring for his last living relative and running from his own painful memories, Jack’s carefully constructed life begins to unravel. As the town prepares to honor Polly’s life by crowning her the “Queen of Cass” at the local festival, Jack struggles to hide his secret from them all. But when a childhood friend forces it out of him, Jack must choose between standing still or facing the pain of his past, so that he can finally move on with his life. Set almost entirely in the small, historic logging town of Cass, WV, Angel’s Perch examines the delicate relationship between past and present, memory and loss.

as a respite from the storm and hoping this doesn’t push the boundaries of the open thread too far😊,
the LAFF channel is running the seldom aired Galaxy Quest tonight.
David Mamet calls it one of the four perfect movies ever made❗️
at it’s core, GQ is a movie about self actualization-
a group of ordinary people pushed to do extraordinary things.
in the process, they try and fail, then try again and fail again….badly.
it’s what they do after that which forms the enduring message of the film.
synopsis: unemployed actors stumble into an intergalactic maelstrom and soon realize that rising to the challenges in front of them may have catastrophic consequences.
along the way, delusions of grandeur are obliterated,
hard realities are faced, and tough choices made as the crew discover meaning and purpose in the task at hand –
and learn that self respect means much more than empty accolades.
GQ is a brilliant example of an unpretentious film that delivers big – as comedy, homage, sci-fi, action, drama, and life lesson.
the effects are spectacular, the soundtrack inspired, and combined with the truly superb work by the ensemble cast,
GQ is as fresh and exciting as it was when first released.
