Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

The Cobweb Hotel (1936)
God’s glorious handiwork.
We had a big web suspended between two head high round conifers on the steps to our Welsh front door.
It had rained the night before or we wouldn’t have seen it. As it was, the sun was shining in the morning and caught every one of the (I’m certain) hundreds of droplets which were captured in each strand. Diamonds…that’s what they looked like. And it was one of the most beautiful creations I’d ever seen…💕

I have always loved watching spiders spin.
There are many spots on the lake by the dock that I take down the webs and they put em back the next day . Watching them spin is fun. Some peeps would not like all the webs that are on the dock but I can sit and just watch for a few

Every creature has a purpose. What peace it must give you. They never let a setback stop them from beginning anew. There’s a life lesson there.
Think Robert the Bruce.💕
Reminds me of a magnificent spiderweb in the upper corner of my little covered porch.
It was such a beautiful patten that I left it alone.
One morning after the frost came it looked like a giant shimmering diamond broach.
It stayed that way all winter.

I watched many many movies
I have not watched one now in quite a few years
None
Just sayin

None interest me, dear friend. Not any produced today anyway. And none in this country. The British still make some good ones, but even they have been infected with adding ever bit of modern ideological pap that there is, ruining perfectly good stories. The ones I’m recommending below are so delightful and have none of what I’ve just spoken off.
There is a newish one out I want to see but it costs even on Prime, starring the imminently watchable Bill Nighy. I’ll leave the trailer below. He was in another favourite I can never see too many times “About Time”.
And another which is funny, joyful, life affirming, again with superb real life acting called ” What We Did On Our Holiday”.
“Living”
“About Time”
“What We Did On Our Holiday”

Hi Rob
The Three Stooges – Ice Man
Dear Treepers, today is Caturday so bear with me because I will get around to the cat part.
Our daughter was lost in the drug world at a young age.
She was adopted by a family that gave her shelter when she most needed it
she came and went for many years like a feral cat.
They also adopted many cats and dogs that were abandoned at there rural home.
Slick the cat, a beautiful fluffy orange and white was one of the lucky ones.
A bond was made.
She went to federal prison on drug charges in 2016
The homeowner died of a fentanyl overdose in2021 because he bought pain meds for his disability
His mother continued to care for the animals.
My daughter was released after seven years on home confinement with us.
All the cats and dog were re homed so the mother of the deceased man, her son could sell the property and move on.
A few weeks later Slick was brought back to her
What a joyous reunion after all those years!!
He absolutely remembered her and they love each other so very much.
I’ve always been a dog person, but having Slick live with us has been such a blessing.
I never would have known the joy of a loving, smart, full of personality cat
He is her rock now.
He has enriched my life so much.
I felt I could share this with my fellow Treepers.
Evening

She has my prayers, Inca. Recovery is a fragile thing. Been there with my lad. Please know you’ve reached out to the most loving Prayer Warriors there are. And we will keep her…and you..firmly in ours.🙏🏻
…an please stay!! There is an empty branch with your name on it right here. Someone moved you to comment, as I and so many others were so moved. Comment when you choose and know you are among family and friends…can’t wait to see you again!😘
Indeed
Praying for your cherished daughter.
Inca, there is an expensive non drug therapy I have been reading about. Neurofeedback. It has been documented as helpful for children with ADHD, but has many other applications as well. What a blessing it would be if more people could get access to this?

Dear inca hoots, thank you for sharing your story of your daughter and slick. There is so much research on animal influence and interaction, and I’m very happy for you that your daughter has been reunited!
Oh, Inca…of course you can share. I am so glad you did. I am so desperately sorry for your daughter and for those who love her.
But I have found through my journey with a son who recovered years ago, somewhere in troubles we think we cannot endure, or have to watch as our children take wrong roads, God is merciful and gives us silver linings we may not expect.
Slick is your and your daughter’s silver lining. How overjoyed I am for you and her to have him in your lives. Cats and dogs can be so healing. There have been many stories here which you may have read from your fellow Treeper attesting to this. Blessings all. As Slick is for you and your daughter…and you both are for him.
What a gift to read this story on Caturday! I wish I could show you the smile on my face. Thank you so much for showing how, especially in our darkest moments, Almighty God knows the blessings He is sending, even if we in our despair can’t yet see them.
May God keep you, your daughter, and sweet Slick in his perpetual care.💕 B
Betsy, I absolutely knew you would respond in your loving way!
Oh God bless you, Inca. I mean this from the bottom of my heart. Because my mother’s heart is truly with yours. And with your daughter whom you love so much.❤
Thank you so much for sharing all of that.
-Oh my God ❣️❣️❣️
….So many lessons…
The Good Lord does work;

Continued blessings💕

An inexpensive home defense item I use that is not a gun is a flamethrower. Until I had my right to keep and bear arms restored, my home defense consisted of baseball bats, kitchen knives and an all-metal garden sprayer converted to a flamethrower. When I was a young, we used the setup to get rid of paper bee’s nests after getting stung a few times. The wand has to be all metal adjusted to a straight stream using water. completely dry the sprayer and fill with gas. Pull the handle to wet the tip and light it. In seconds a person can ignite a 180-degree field, 15-20 yards or so out, depending on the sprayer pressure and nozzle design/adjustment. The tip will stay lit until manually extinguished. I still have a similar setup today because it serves a purpose a firearm cannot. KEEP THE LIQUID LEVEL FULL BECAUSE IF THE SPRAYER RAN DRY WITH THE HANDLE PULLED, THE FLAME MAY BE ABLE TO PROPOGATE UP THE WAND TO THE TANK!!! If that happened, it could be a very bad day for someone.
