Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

Here you go. BTW they are most likely killing whales in droves due to the sonar mapping required to construct the off shore sea bird choppers their defiling our shores with.
Those who put those monstrocities up were warned..and loudly.
But because ideologues know everything, the warnings were dismissed out of hand.
Yesterday was a crazy day. It started at 6am when my cell phone put out this screeching loud sound that woke me up. Checked phone and it was a message from govt weather service advising flash flooding due to rain and advising to shelter in place and not to leave home unless directed to do so in order to evacuate. That message repeated every two hours all day long. Went to bed just before 1am and the darn thing went off again right after that. Turned the phone off and went back to sleep.
My neighbor across the street from me whose house is just below street level had to sand bag around the front of his house and down the sides to keep the water out. About 3 yesterday I heard a loud noise, went out to check on it and apparently water was seeping through so they had a pump running to pump the water back outside of the sandbag wall. (I live south of Porterville in a rural area.)
Yesterday’s rain was very warm and unfortunately it melted a good deal of the snow we have had this winter in the Sierra Nevada mountains. Lots of flood damage in Springville, a little town about 10 miles east of me in the mountains. I was hoping to go to the grocery store today but I would have to cross the Tule River which is currently a raging torrent, water level just inches below the bridge.
Please pray for all the folks who are being flooded by this rain.
Following is a report on the flooding in Springville.
I would have to cross Hwy 190 to get to Porterville.
Thanks for letting us know Patty; will be praying for you and everyone in your area.
Thanks, Michael. Now the weather service is issuing warnings for tornados in Fresno County, just north of Tulare County. We don’t have tornados, that’s a mid west thing. The advisory says for folks to head to their basements. We don’t have basements in CA.
We lived in Visalia for a couple years, back in the 70’s… I guess you just have to find a ditch or a culvert to lay down in! Probably won’t happen! I HOPE it doesn’t happen!
On the other hand, when we lived in Huntington Beach, there was a tornado that came straight up from by where the pier is, and went for quite a few miles; cutting a swath straight down the whole length of backyard fences in our neighborhood! All we heard was this REALLY loud wind and what sounded like a tree hitting the roof! It was part of our fence that was lifted up and thrown down into the patio. We went out the next morning and just looked down the block between the backyards, and the back fences were all thrown down!
Visalia was a nice small town back in the 70s. Now they have close to a couple hundred thousand folks. About the only town that is still very small and nice is Exeter. Almost no change in population.
🙂
I pulled the trigger. Just sent out an email telling my employer that I am retiring and will be cleaning out my truck next week when I get back.
I apologized for not giving them more notice and explained why.
It has been a great ride but it’s over.
Godspeed, rah. I believe you will not regret the decision. And God bless your daughter as she starts her path back to good health. This we all pray for.🙏🏻
Retiring is a hard thing for many to do.
Enjoy family while you have the opportunity.
I say go for it.
My father retired at 62 years of age and before he passed at 103 he said “You only come this way once; I’ve never met anyone who said they were on the return trip.”
I miss him EVERY day.
God Bless and Good Luck!
🙏
Wow! Congratulations! Big step! The Lord bless you, and keep you safe and healthy. I retired about a year ago. Its nice not having to go to work; but now I have to work more at not going on my wife’s nerves. 🙂
Any ideas what you wanna do now? Or start by resting for a few months, and collecting your thoughts?
Here’s hoping you will enjoy your retirement to the fullest 🙏👍.. Good Luck 😀👍
🇺🇸💪😀👍
Hi Rah,
I’ve been following but not commenting here. I want to express my sincerest prayers for you and your precious girl. It is a blessing you and Sherry have this flexibility to be there for her and your grands. May your daughter find just the help she needs and may you all band together to make this journey light for her. Find and grab the joy whenever and wherever you can. Lots of pictures, lots of videos together with each other, and lots of love and prayers. Our God Is Mighty to save. We will keep you close in our prayers, Hoosier neighbor.
When I said I was retiring, I felt this huge wash of relief. I loved my job and my colleagues but the place was run by a bunch of thugs. When I was walking over to that last meeting I realized, “Hey, I don’t have to do this anymore.” That did it so I quit. Good on ‘ya, rah! 🙂
Thank you all. It is a bit earlier than I intended but we are blessed that we can financially do it.
As for plans? First get my retirement ducks in order.
Second, be there for my daughter.
Third, do some things around the house.
Forth, look into buying and RV and taking Sherry to see so much of their great country that I have seen.
Fifth, spend time with my family and my great friend and neighbors, Steve and Betty.
RIP Bud Grant. His Minnesota Vikings always stood in a straight line for the National Anthem. He had them practice it.
Duck Hunting or fishing before games, they don t make them like Bud Grant anymore.
Amen.

So the Navy is renaming a couple of ships to “erase Confederate history”. And soon they will no doubt be renaming Army posts for the same stupid reason.
But the fact is they were ALL Americans and what they are doing is trying to erase American history. What’s next? Tear down all the Confederate monuments at the battle fields? How I HATE this wokeness BS and all those forcing it upon us!
Besides, ole Bragg was one of the best Generals the Union had working for them. His failure to keep the Union forces bottled up in Chatanooga was epic and it was his own fault. He couldn’t get along with Longstreet, which was the best General he had there and so, Jeff Davis sent Longstreet to besiege Burnside at Knoxville, taking with him about 1/3 of the troops that Bragg could have had to keep the Yankees bottled up in Chatanooga.

I have read this argument before. The history of the events of the 1850’s. The congressional records, the newspaper accounts, the issues argued during elections, the various legal disputes at the time,do not support that claim.
Just read the Lincoln/Douglass debates and tell me what issues dominated!
Rah, read this few days ago about the fort here in GA. It breaks my heart.

Another article said it will cost 5 million dollars for changes, and Fort Bragg is next.
What a nightmare this will be.
