Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

Good Morning Dan!
IMO, this is a Wonderful reminder that nature is gods way of supplying a room that our body (church) can use to be his witness. Probably not explaining correctly. Spurgeon is awesome!!!!!
Thank you ❤️
Thank you, Dan! We can always use a little Spurgeon.
Wow. That was double extra wonderful!

Great orchestra and a truly great soloist. 🙂
Dudamel and Hahn…the combination doesn’t get any better.
❤️
Good Morning WP!
Sloth is one of the Seven Deadly Sins. Procrastination is sloth.
If we only procrastinate for home and work, but not for God, is it still a deadly sin?
No need to answer now.
It’s okay with me if you take a few days.
Funny
Home and work are for God. Everything we do is for God, or it is useless. For most of us, if we want to evangelize, to do the work God has set before us to accomplish, to influence the people he has put into our orbit, it will be at home or at work.
Yyyyyyyup. 💋
👍🙏🏻
Amen!
Sweetie came to us by accident. My favorite restaurant has a nice patio where I liked to have lunch. One day there was a border collie that was obviously a stray begging food from patrons. She was a sweet dog, obviously lost from a loving home. Judging from the food bowl and water the staff had been feeding her. I seem to have a 6th sense with dogs—they always know I like them. So, not surprisingly, this stray border collie came over, put her head on my knee and looked up at me. That’s all it took. Sweetie came home, lived with us for about 8 years and died peacefully at home knowing she was loved. I thought about her tonight when I saw this video. We still miss you, Sweetie . . . You were the best dog, ever. 🙂
Very touched by how much you and your wife loved Sweetie and the video you shared. The dog in the video seems to be peering at the viewer in such a real way, and with the music and the text although it is a still picture, the dog seemed so real and animated, as if its mind was actively turning while I watched.
Did your Sweetie have these same classic border collie markings? Would love to hear more about her if you’re inclined to share.
Morning, Sarah, fellow animal lover.😊
Sweetie was the image of this dog . . .only redish-brown. Sweetie had that same penetrating gaze. When she looked at you, you just knew she was making a very special contact. She was the kind of dog who adopted us rather than the other way around. As soon as I put her in the truck we became “her” people. 🙂
Good Morning Garrison!
Your video reminded me of my “sweetie”. Same breed, came into our lives, the same way. In the days when it was normal for dogs to have pups, not a puppy mill, she had a few. Some with the same markings of one in video, some brown and white. Very loyal, protective and highly intelligent breed. So much so, that one wouldn’t stay in his fenced in yard if you weren’t outside. He could even unscrew bolts. We gave many bits of happiness to lots of kids. I miss her. Thanks for reviving this memory. ❤️
Good morning FC! So many beloved pets during the years , so many stories. Yesterday I was telling my bride that our male cat Comet is starting to look like an old guy. He and his sisters will turn 9 next month.
G, you can’t think in terms of years with cats…only in terms of “lives”. I’ll bet he has quite a few of those left😉
LOL! I think he is still in his first one. They are very spoiled.
Haha!!! Very probably, G. Spoiled?!?? Say it’s not so!😉
Good morning, Cat💓 A day for bittersweet memories with our much loved four legged family members. No matter how much time passes, we all still have them within our hearts. Drat…have to run find a tissue…
🙂
I think dogs intuitively know who “their” people are. I think that connection is what makes them such wonderful companions.
Oh my yes! They DO know.
I love the Sweetie stories!
🙂 As long as she was with us Sweetie exhibited a very strong herding instinct. She never accepted that our kitties were not going to be herded by the likes of some dumb ‘ole dog. Still, she never stopped trying, however.
You’ve reminded me of our Penny and her herding proclivities, though not in an orderly fashion.
As we lived in the Welsh countryside, many a farm cat found their way to our house where they were adopted and promptly settled in. There was one ginger female, Polly, who, before we could ever get her spayed, produced a litter with her beau, a raggedy chap we named Buster. Penny was part cat herself we decided and got along with her feline sisters and brothers, no problem.
One day on both of us coming home from work, however, we discovered Polly’s litter had completely disappeared. We searched high and low. No mewing and no sight of them. And there sat Penny with the guiltiest look I’ve ever seen. As the kittens were only about 6 weeks old and it was a hot (for us) summer we grew increasingly concerned, so we looked harder.
And we started to look in unusual places. Eventually we discovered 2 of them hidden behind one of our radiators (thank goodness it was summer!), 2 more together outside in the garden lawn, and for the life of me I can’t remember we discovered the other two. But we got them all together with their nonchalant mother, who didn’t seem bothered or fretful at all.
I suspect Penny was feeling a little jealous, and she decided to rid herself of her rivals for our affections. We have no other explanation. It never happened again. But the vision of her cleverly and gently hiding each kitten in places we certainly never considered was almost the perfect crime.
She was one smart dog. The only dog I ever knew who actually herded cats.
Hahaha! I think you’ve shared in prior posts that Sweetie loved to follow your wife everywhere. I wondered if she ever tried to herd her. It doesn’t sound like it. Just a faithful, abiding companion that made a deep and perhaps also mysterious connection as only animals and humans can make…. it defies description with words. It’s an experience like no other.
Not that I know of, Sarah. On the other hand I never worried about my wife getting lost when they went walking because I was confident that Sweetie would know the way home.
Huh. I wonder where I got that idea. Can I blame it on old age? I think Betsy once gave me the green light to do that when needed, but since my memory appears not to serve me correctly 100% of the time, it’s possible she never did that and I just think she did! sigh.
Oh yes I did, Sarah! Green means go😊
Good morning Garrison, your Sweetie story reminded me of our Emma, also a border collie. Our youngest son had picked her up off the road and she came to live with us. Probably the smartest dog we’ve ever had. Had the most penetrating blue eyes. When there was no one to oblige her she’d toss the frisbee up in the air to herself.
‘Darn glasses starting to mist up.
Good morning, G💓 Spectacles are a bother for reading stories like Garrison’s. So many memories come flooding in without warning. Our little Jack Russell, beloved Penny, is missed so much every single day. As someone accurately said, dogs’ lives are too short…their only fault really…sigh…
True that. 🙂
Morning Betsy, absolutely! I love boxers but the lifespan of most of them is shorter than your average dog that I won’t get one. Your heart gets broken way too soon.
Just thinking about short lived dogs…
There was a pub in an English town across the Welsh border which was known for a good pub meal. So some friends and we decided to go early to beat the rush.
We came off a sunny street into a dimly lit establishment with no one there, save the staff. It took a moment for our eyes to adjust, and while they were doing so, it seemed to me their carpet was quite lumpy. The whole carpet seemed to be very poorly laid, there were that many lumps.
When we could see properly, one of the “lumps” moved and stood up. And then another and another, until we were faced with 3 Great Danes of immense size, as of course they are. They were magnificent. But I always think one would really have to be passionate about the breed to endure the heart aches that accompany losing them, so short is their lifespan. I couldn’t do it. So I understand your hesitancy with Boxers. I’d be the same💓
Love that story!!! And really appreciate how you find a very special way to weave personal life experiences into many of your posts (not just on this thread) in a way that makes what you have to say come to life.
You are very kind to say, Sarah. The memories are as fresh as when the events happened, and it is so nice for me to be able to share with my friends here. Any who read them do me a great honour by putting up with so many. 😊💓
Yes, Betsy, the larger the dog, the shorter the life, generally. I’ve seen boxers as old as 13 and some G. Danes get pretty old but as a general rule of thumb.
I’ve had a couple of labs that seem to live forever, otoh my lab Chester didn’t make it past 5 or 6, developed liver cancer. He was such a great dog.
When you love a dog, you sign up for the duration, no matter short or hopefully long.💓
🙂
Yep. The combination of loyalty and intelligence are what make border collies such special companions. I didn’t know much about the breed until one of the adjunct profs I taught with—he was also a rancher—told me about his border collies.
they need to stay busy for sure, otherwise they get bored.
Morning, Garrison💓…I came to know border collies very well in my previous life. How could one observe or be around them and not fall completely in love? Sweetie knew where she needed to be… with you, and made she made that clear. How lucky you both were. Or perhaps lucky isn’t the right word? 🙏
I love border collies too.
Well, we were “her” people. . .
I know the pain that you and your wife went thru. It is always a large empty place in your heart. I will save the video to watch later, it is only two weeks since we had to put our 11yr old Sam-u-el down. (kidney failure and cancer). It is six month and ten days since we had to put his 13yr old sister Mary down. She had a hole in her heart and collapsed. We miss them so much.
It is a comfort to see so many of you wonderful animal lovers and Christians give support and prayers for us when we need it.
Even tho I do not comment very often I read this site every day. It is like visiting with family. God Bless You All
And may He be with you, Marti. Especially when the memories come, many times unbidden I know.
One of the hardest things to do is to make a decision based on the welfare of our friends and companions, rather not to do so because we find it unbearably hard. That time comes for all animal lovers who are lucky enough to have precious dogs and cats whom we love so much.
When those times came for us, I consoled myself with the thought that while they were with us, no one could have given them better kitty and doggie lives than we did. And we didn’t let them suffer. We hardened our hearts for just enough time to do what what was best for them. In the end it was our act of love for them. I hold on to those thoughts when I remember and miss them all…as you so obviously do for your beloved Sam-u-el and Mary.
I earnestly and truly pray your sorrows will be softened by knowing you did the best for them both💓B
Thank you so much. Both dogs were born right here in my living room and handled and loved from the day they were born. Their parents were both our dogs, but it seems that we were closer to Mary and Sam-u-el than any of the pups we raised over the years. They were German Shorthair Pointers. Mary would sleep beside me in bed with her head on my pillow. So many wonderful memories. I look up and think I should seem. God has blessed us in that both dogs went quickly. Mary’s heart gave out from one moment to the next. Sam was bad only two days. We have never left any of our animals suffer so the decision was made quickly to put them down. God gave them to us to love and take care on them.
Thank you for your kind words. It helps to be able to talk about them to someone as caring as you are.
I enjoy reading your posts.
Bless you, Marti.
Thank you GrandpaM.
Hi, Marti. I knew It would be a comfort for Sweetie (and thus for us) to die at home, in familiar surroundings, knowing that we loved her. I put her on the back porch (her favorite spot) petted her and told her she was a good dog. A little bit later when I went to check on her she was gone.
To have to put down two much loved companions—real members of your family—so close together is just so very hard. Be well, Marti. And let us hear from you. If you have space in your life, may I suggest that you give some thought to getting another dog? There are so many dogs in shelters that would make someone who obviously loves them a wonderful companion.
You make a good point, Garrison. No two situations are the same regarding our animals. The decisions we make for each are as personal as one can imagine. But they are made with all the love we hold for our companions. Bless them all.
Hi Garrison, We stayed with each dog at the vet until they were gone. Did not want them to be alone at that time. My husband was very concerned about me with losing Mary. He bought my a puppy to help me thru it. When we went to look at the puppies a little female came over to me and put her feet up on my let. She picked me and has been a help thru many tears. She looks like Mary and Sam-u-el’s great grandmother. I named her Mari’s Lucky Clover. Herbs Lucky Clover was the name of our first female German Shorthair Pointer.
I have groomed many wonderful dogs that came from shelters. There is hardly ever a German Shorthair at a shelter. We have worked with the GSP rescue doing inspections of homes suitable for this breed of dog. They are great hunters and usually have a lot of energy.
I am so blessed to have support from you and Betsy and others from CTF.
🙂
I’ve written about our good bye to Penny. We were fortunate…very fortunate…to have a country vet in a small Welsh village. His office was quite sparse and plain, nothing like the state of the expensive art ones here in this country. He was an exceptional man and vet who loved his patients.
A couple of days after we had said goodbye to her, we received a handwritten note from him saying how sorry he was we had lost her, and how much he’d miss her as well. We were overcome by his humanity, that he would take the time to sit down and pen that beautiful note. It was a great comfort. I’ll never forget him or his kindness.
Our vet sent us a nice card signed by her and the staff. We got special Kidney food from Chewy.com. They sent an beautiful flower bouquet and a nice message.
Your heavy heart and sorrow is palpable. So many here, myself included, are animal lovers and have gone through and/or are going through (me and my family right now) having very old and sick animals knowing their time left on earth is short. It’s painful beyond words, though somehow you found the words to convey the pain. So glad you decided to post. This is a wonderful community of people, full of love, compassion, and deep and abiding faith. Wishing you well and sending prayers….
Thank you Sarah.
Garrison! You built a treehouse hot tub! ❤️ Stella’s gonna want one next door, you know. You’re gonna be busy wink
🙂
Zow! Those things cost $1400 a night! Think I’ll stick to Lost Maples State Park.
For those who enjoy guitar, vocals, and the spirit of the truckers! (A Treeper posted the link on a recent thread.)
Good Morning Sarah ❤️
Butting in here, no pun, wanna do a paw lick for a tail wag ? Made a comment on MP1 , trucker stuff, I was going to add a song that I have never seen put up here before, mungrel as a pup listened to this all the time.
Six Days on the Road.
Dave Dudley.
Ok I’ll throw in one of my Thankyou snarls 😁
Morning (yawn…stretch….paw lick)
Great story. Thinking you forgot something. Thinking. A most formidable opponent reads and thinks. IMO of course.
Gonna go listen now. Thanks
Niiice…scenery is niiice too.
Here is a direct link ⬆️
Two tail wags, one quick spin and a sit 😊
I’m actually surprised that song hasn’t been posted here before, not that I’ve seen anyway, must be the eye thing 😜
Ok then I’ll anwser your question, about that formidable opponent thing, scratch, bum sniff, flea bit, triple turn, moon howl, gee your a confusing Feral, oh, I got it, you are trying to trap me 😜 !
Forcing me to say that ‘pee’ word, well I’ll have you know I just won’t do it! No inbreeding ! Pedigrees come as a natural mungrel right ya know 😝😝😝
😂. Getting bored skidding down the mountain by myself. Want a romp thru the woods, probably not cause you know I’d win 😉
You know all your barker eggs are popsicles now don’t you? How can I bake if I don’t have fresh ones. You’re slacking mungrel 😜
Ok, pull up your little comfy rug with your bird eaters, !
I’ll only ask once.
Do you know what a barkers egg is ?
Think so. It’s a present my doggie leaves me everyday in the yard?
😊😊😀 in the sun if you leave your “doggy” s—
Out it turns white as snow, this is an excellent detergent for foxes, I know here that everybody seems to like my arch enemy, the fact is as a ewe gives birth to a lamb they lye down, the most vulnerable time in their life. A fox will come in and eat what it can of the lamb during birth.
Of cause the ewe freaks but nothing can be done, some halfway through birth die. The the lambs need the ewes milk (first milk, don’t know name ) to survive two days and even then the foxes hunt em down.
For example I have seen out of a flock of seven thousand ewes and six thousand lambs nearly a thousand lambs lost.
Don’t ask how many foxes I’ve shot cause I couldn’t count.
Then you got the crows, a cousin of your blackbirds, ravens I think, well they just swoop in and take out eyes, of course the results are the same.
And by the way in Aussie vernacular a “drop bear” is a koala, the term is used as a shitstire mainly for tourists. Good larf though.
You cannot get a koala out of a tree unless you cut the tree down and even then you wouldn’t catch it !
Markers eggs do actually keep a lot of vermin away, to explain how many and type would take a long post.
But once again I did not tell a lie.
Cheers, tail wag and you know that fake attention flea body wag 😜
You avoided the question. You giving me some eggs or am I going to outsource? 😜
Mornin’ son, I think the name for the first milk is colostrum. It provides antibodies for protection during the first weeks of life. I wish the barker eggs deterred the deer from eating my wife’s flowers but them critters don’t care.
We have foxes here too, but they don’t seem to cause any problems with the calves. Now the coyotes are another story but the cows are semi wild and can take care of themselves.
Cheers
The vultures from south of the border go after new born calves, too. They also go for the eyes..
Are you talking about caracaras? We have them, also the bigger turkey vultures but haven’t had a problem with the calves. I guess plenty of roadkill to feast on – white tail and axis.
AdRem, you prob already know, but there is definitely a glowie team in the house.
What’s a glowie ?
It’s a type of worm that attracts its prey by emoting inticing colors. Pretty but deadly 😉 😉. Look it up 😀
It is a term used for members any of the three letter agencies, they stick out like a sore thumb and don’t blend with the natives. The only one fitting this description here is the guy that addressed the AdRem but I’ll follow my advice to you from a couple of weeks ago and won’t feed the creature under the bridge.
1970
Shocking Blue, a three man, one woman band from Holland, had the top single in America with “Venus”.
1976
Paul Simon had his only solo #1 hit in the US when “50 Ways to Leave Your Lover” made it to the top for the first of three weeks.
1981
Pink Floyd began The Wall Tour in the US when they gave their first live performance of the new double album in Los Angeles. A 30 foot high wall made of Styrofoam blocks was constructed across the 160 foot stage in the first half of the show, and then following the intermission, it was thoroughly destroyed.
Good Morning rebel. Loved the blasts from the past. Thanks!
My gift to you is a sharing of a remake of son of a preacher man. imo it’s remade better than the original although not in the foxes and fossils style. You decide 😉
Kind of amazing that so many stayed to watch a wall. But that was the name of the album and I doubt that the audience hadn’t heard the album already since it was released in late ’79 and charted well in ’80.
fun wasn’t invented just recently, y’know

Trying to research something historical. I read somewhere about a parasite was responsible for wiping out some of the inhabitants of the Jamestown va settlement back in the day.
Curious story. Wondering if true. And if so, Trying to determine if it can emit/travel in the air.
Ever hear of such a thing?
Should clarify, I’m not speaking of a glowie.
here is an attempt to use the written record to diagnose the diseases that killed in Jamestown.
1607 — July-Dec, Disease and Famine/Starvation, Jamestown Colony, VA — 66 – Deadliest American Disasters and Large-Loss-of-Life Events (usdeadlyevents.com)
Not so sure if it was Parasites, but this research may have found some preserved evidence. Been a while, so there might be something they learned.
Jamestown well is ”a virtual time capsule,” archaeologists say – The Virginian-Pilot (pilotonline.com)
Finally, I like this articles description of the true Parasites that they brought with them.
American History: The Jamestown Settlement – Atlas’s Island (atlasroseauthor.com)
Not so sure of their take on 1600 England being socialism. They quote a scholar from Mises.
<<
In commenting on the Jamestown situation, acclaimed economist Richard Maybury states in an article for Mises that “Most of the work was being done by only one-fifth of the men, the other four-fifths choosing to be parasites” (Mises Library). The London Company, who funded the venture and took all of the profits made from the land where the colonists settled, stated of its initial group of settlers that they were “unruly gallants, criminals, and loafers.”
>>
The Company sounds like the biggest parasite to me.
Jim, what a wealth of information. Big hug! 🤗 I’ve been engrossed in all these wonderful links, I surfaced to eat supper and write this big thank you for these.
Helps with the parasite exploring, swamps, old wells. Gave me some ideas. Thanks
However, the atlas island article, is an amazing glimpse of history, one I’m sure some would prefer to disappear. It is a pleasant surprise to be able to read how history is repeating itself over and over. I figure the parasite, the one I wasn’t looking for, is the one I needed to confirm existence of. It’s really in some people’s dna, isn’t it. 😉
Perhaps that’s why they have such an adversion to ivermectin 😎
If anyone has gotten this far, highly recommend you read/scan

IMO, it’s a jewel. ❤️
And the map ❤️
Especially like the small print description at bottom!
Now that’s a cat I would get along with 😊
Didn’t know porno was allowed on this site !!!!

‘China and Russia unveil plan for New World Order’
“What they propose or rather suggest is a new world order, isn’t it? They have not left out a single policy issue,” Stefanie Babst, former NATO chief strategic policy analyst, explained to the Washington Examiner. “The prime addressee sits in the White House, with the main message being, ‘F** you! – We are the future, and you are the past.'”

IMO I find this to be quite a reminder when I get depressing thoughts. Kinda kicks me in the butt so to speak.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.
AMEN.

All my good mornings delivered! Off to do laundry. Since there are only two of us, an easy task. But for my family of 3 with their busy lives and respective young and youngish broods of many, the following applies:
Wash time: 30 minutes (per load)
Drying time: 6o minutes (per load)
Putting it all away: 7-10 business days.
before then you are ready to start all over again
No kidding!!! A never ending process.
Good morning Lonestar.
Personally, your devotional today, has completed my daily reflections most excellently. You made me so happy 🥰
Good Morning flyover ☀️
May your day be filled with as much joy as you give. ❤️

Beautiful, parichute. Coincidentally, this morning on my Sirius XM Symphony Channel, which is on all day here, for some reason, they played Amazing Grace but with Jessye Norman singing.
With the timing of GrandpaM’s asking for prayers, it suddenly takes on new meaning. 🙏
TY, parichute. I forwarded the link to our pastor to send it to Yvonne and her husband.
Oh no, G. Absolutely prayers for her…and for her doctors to dig deep and do their healing best. 🙏
Amen! Just posted an update from our pastor.
A big thank you to all our prayer warriors ❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻!
This just in from our pastor
Please ask the church to pray. Yvonne is going into surgery right now to insert a tube through the blockage to relieve the pressure and stress on her body. We need to pray that this is successful…that her kidneys will start to function again, soon…and that her body can take the stress of the surgery. This surgery is a preventative. She will need major surgery later to deal with the obstruction issue.
O Lord love her, G..she must be in so much pain. I really hope they are not skimping on the meds🙏🙏🙏
TY
New update from our pastor,
She got through the surgery well. The tube should help. The doctor relieved the pressure in the intestine. The kidneys did pass a little urine. Yay. She is in recovery. She will probably be in the hospital a couple weeks. The other surgery
will be scheduled in a couple of months.
Thank You Jesus for answered prayer!!!
All Glory and Honor are His!!!
Thanks for your prayers, Treepers!
Amen. Glory to God.
Thank you for update. Yvonne remains on my prayer list.
Deo Gratias!!!💓
🙏✝️🙏
Thank you, Flyover. And how appropriate for any day but especially for this day, as we all know those who need that type of prayer either individually or as a group. In this case, thousands upon thousands of truckers together with their families who have righteously risen up to confront the luciferian forces which seek to destroy them all.
And I’m certain, those sweetest prayers from more than we could possibly count are reaching their Destination. O Lord, hear our prayers, in the Holy Name of Christ Jesus, our only Mediator and Advocate🙏💓
And a GiveSendGo update…current totals are over $5,000,000!! And climbing still!

Serendipity means luck that takes the form of finding valuable or pleasant things that are not looked for. I wasn’t thinking of that definition when choosing Lucky’s name, but it fits to a tee.
I am going to abbreviate the next several moves.
-Lucky and Doc moved to the Minneapolis area -> he became Board Certified in Occupational Medicine
-They moved to a small community in Southern Wisconsin to help an old friend by running a clinic, a temporary situation to prevent it from being taken over by a big hospital system (friend was hospital administrator)
There followed a window of time with lots of job interviews.
You all have had ‘job interviews’, or likely most of you have …
You start with the invite. You ‘investigate’ as best you can. Full of enthusiasm you fly to the interview. You meet ‘them’, they meet ‘you’. Wifey gets to do a bit of house hunting. A dinner, a bit of socializing. Then home again. You were not the fit they were looking for – or you REALLY did not want to live or work there. Enthusiasm turns to the blues.
Where did they interview?
Edenton, NC (they killed the Sound)
Mobile, AL (hurricanes)
Salem, OR (wrong fit)
Hanford Nuclear Site – Richland WA (not what they wanted)
Reno, NV (needed internship, not required after med school graduation in 1960. That was a blow because everybody thought that would be ideal. Talk about a depressing return home. Obviously someone had not done their homework before we were invited. :()
interview with INL Idaho, another Nuclear Site (not what Doc wanted)
Doc had been a Flight Surgeon at the SAC base in Mt Home Idaho in the early 1960s. The more Lucky and he traveled the more he yearned to return to Idaho. In the late 1990s, when they made the move, the Medical Board in Idaho was still ‘sane’. As with so many other things in life, that eventually changed too.
After the INL failed interview, since Lucky and Doc were nearby, they arranged an interview with a hospital in Pocatello that was looking for a Director of Occupational Medicine. You have seen it – when 2 people are very excited when they first meet they lean towards each other and can’t stop talking. That bit of magic happened.
So Lucky and Doc moved to Pocatello. In addition to ‘taking care’ of the nurses, who are always getting hurt, the hospital contracted with with major and minor companies in the ares – taking care of their employees. OSHA was new then.
Doc retired from this Hospital practice in 2002, Doc and Lucky bought a 40 ft motor home, sold the house and became full time RVers. That lasted until 2017.
As President Trump has said so many times, (paraphrasing) the Best was yet to Come.
In the Middle Ages, composers did not sign their works. There is a whole body of music attributed to “Anonymous” because the composer was not mentioned. This group’s name, Anonymous 4, derives from that phenomenon.
Such pure voices. Beautiful!
Yes, I agree. Glad you like them.
On Sunday mornings, Sirius XM symphony channel dedicates the entire morning to music like this and also masses, oratorios, and psalms set to music from various known and not so well known composers.
Much to my immense joy, this past Sunday for the first two hours, the programme was all Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, including his very moving Psalm 115. I really do look forward to the spiritual sounds of all the music it offers on that day. Your link is exactly the type played during the last two hours, LS. An opportunity to hear pieces which get no playing time elsewhere.

lilbirdee12’s prayer:
Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.
Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.
Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and his family as they seek to lead America back to You. Also, we pray for Angels to protect and support our Sundance as he works for justice and peace.
Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.
We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
Thank you Father, for Your Love and the gift of Life.
In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
