Gospel
Jn 20:1-9
On the first day of the week,
Mary of Magdala came to the tomb early in the morning,
while it was still dark,
and saw the stone removed from the tomb.
So she ran and went to Simon Peter
and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and told them,
“They have taken the Lord from the tomb,
and we don’t know where they put him.”
So Peter and the other disciple went out and came to the tomb.
They both ran, but the other disciple ran faster than Peter
and arrived at the tomb first;
he bent down and saw the burial cloths there, but did not go in.
When Simon Peter arrived after him,
he went into the tomb and saw the burial cloths there,
and the cloth that had covered his head,
not with the burial cloths but rolled up in a separate place.
Then the other disciple also went in,
the one who had arrived at the tomb first,
and he saw and believed.
For they did not yet understand the Scripture
that he had to rise from the dead.

Watched the movie again Last night and it is so well made, so difficult to endure, my heart was wrenched ~ toward the Lord. Praise be to the Lord, enduring so much to reconcile us to himself!
I watched it last night, too.
worth my time.
I watched it this evening. It is heart wrenching to watch. I found myself bawling like a baby several times. It’s also very spiritual in how it makes you feel about the burden Christ bore for us sinners. Powerful.
We watched it when it first came out, but I don’t know that my heart can ever take it again. It’s been many years and we still own the dvd. I hope to watch it again one day, just as a refresher as to what Christ ACTUALLY ENDURED! His crucifixion has always been so sterilized, rather than teaching and showing the TRUTH, that the generations are falling farther and farther from our roots. I’m a senior citizen now, and even I was never taught about the “whip” and how it was made to rip pieces of flesh out. Nor was it ever taught in the many Churches I’ve attended. So sad.
Beautiful. The Lord has done great things.
Praise our Lord and Savior.
Thank you for not allowing anything political on these posts.??????
Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live” John 11:25
Praise God!
He is risen indeed.
I tried to imagine Lord Jesus doing battle with satan for me. For me! And He won! For me!
Calgary Pastor tells police to leave as they intimidate people and attempt to interrupt church service without a warrant:
We need every pastor in the world to yell like this.

Love the movie. THANK YOU.
Happy Easter! Powerful movie.
How literal is the Resurrection of our Savior?
Napoleon Bonaparte was Emperor of the French, was exiled, and Returned from Elba.
Jesus Christ was the Son of God, was Executed, and Returned from Death.
That’s it. That’s what happened. Just. Like. That.
Alleluia!
He is truly risen!
This was a tremendous movie. For years, Jim Caviezel paid a price for it in the roles he was offered, but he has overcome that.
I just watched a movie, on Netflix of all places, called The Young Messiah. It was really very good and inspiring. It is about the early years of Jesus’ life, of which we know very little about. It was one of those kind of movies you didn’t want to see come to an end. I encourage everyone to check it out. How many of us could lead our lives the way Jesus did when he knew where it was leading. His incredible faith led him to persevere because he believed in the triumph that would follow.
Our family also watched The Young Messiah. It was beautiful.
I love You Jesus. Thank You for eternity.
My Lord, my Savior! He is risen! I am blessed. Amen.

A little Praise and Worship is good for the soul. Thank you Jesus……for the gift.
To God be the glory.
Went to 10 am service on Easter Sunday..
What a beautiful service… the Church even with special seating had about 800 worshipers in attendance.. praying singing..
The minister was almost in tears as he saw the turn out. … he said he saw hope….HOPE..
HE SAID LAST YEAR WAS VERY DIFFICULT ..GIVING AN EASTER SERVICE WITH NO ONE IN ATTENDENCE..
yes there is HOPE..
What I saw was hundreds of people WITHOUT masks singing.. yes Hope.. for our nation.. the inner core is solid.
After the service everyone was talking socializing.. drinking coffe …shaking hands.. without masks…Witjout masks.
Not afraid.. HOPE..

For the first time in years we attended our church’s early sunrise Easter service. Usually we attend the proverbial “11 o’clock” service, but felt like this year we needed to push ourselves a bit and get there early. Definitely a blessing. The place was packed. The Holy Word and the Lord’s Supper both delivered as faithfully as we fallen and redeemed creatures were able.
Aleluia!
