Police officers were called to the 3100 block of Legion Lane, north of Chatterton Road, in Columbus, Ohio, just after 4:30 pm for a disturbance call. When police arrived 16-year-old Ma’Khia Bryant (black female) was in the process of attempting to stab one woman with a knife and then attempting to stab a second woman (see screengrab below). One officer opened fire, Ma’khia Bryant was shot and killed.
Columbus police released the bodycam footage from the shooting.

I would argue that which Lincoln did not, the only reason a state cannot leave the union is for the specific purpose of denying constitutional rights.
Depends on what you (or they) define as constitutional rights. Let the state leave but make provisions for its inhabitants who “think” they want the constitutional rights in the other states to move. The Constitution is a compact. A marriage is also a compact. When one party is aggrieved or has irreconcilable differences with the other party, a separation occurs at the request of one or both parties to the marriage.

If I’m still a police officer after all that has happened over the past year or so, I think I would just observe from a distance and let this play out. This is a losing situation. What would help is the girl he saved from being stabbed speaking out. Sadly, that will never happen. Excellent point, of the incidents that have brought national attention how many were because of a 9-1-1 call that police were responding too versus an officer just driving by and seeing an alleged crime in progress?
My gut is 90%+ are the result of a 9-1-1 call. Maybe we just need to disconnect 9-1-1 and allow police to just patrol, they seem less likely to randomly shoot poor innocent people when they find their own problems to solve, rather than responding to someone else’s problem.
Just re-route 911 calls to the Social workers. Because that has worked out so very well.

Americans in general have no concept of the unique value of their birthright earned through sacrifice, bloodshed and sacred honor. Someone calls the police to intervene in a dangerous situation unfolding and then the police get targeted for responding. This is madness! Even though police were on the scene, the knife wielder was still aggressive. That officer likely saved the life of the girl in pink. Will he get commended for it?

I am in no way supporting that hog…I just always wonder why they work for animals, but not humans.
You might want to investigate that possibility, maybe someday in our future such things can be, but the reality is that tranquilizers can be dangerous, dosage must be appropriate for the mass and nature of the beast, the darts surely couldn’t reliably penetrate clothing, and they simply do not act as quickly as we imagine in our entertainment culture.
I guarantee that anything out there that could possibly work on that specific person in that specific state of agitation that was magically preprepared for the previously unseen perpetrator could not in any world we know have acted quickly enough to save the life the officer did indeed save. Not even a Taser would have sufficed.
These communities need to get their crap together. They call the cops because their lives are in danger from each other. The cops arrive, make a decision and then they yell at the cops for doing what they asked them to do. These people are being used, and it is all designed to remove our current system.

Been a trooper for 24 years. That is a justified shooting all day and he probably saved the life of the woman in pink. I also agree with Hcdmn. In 20 years or less we’ll have a German Polizei-style police force. It’s easy for me to say now but, there isn’t a chance in hell I’d start this profession over again.
After pondering this incident for the day now (well about 10 hours- since I first read about it) this could be the event where BLM, B. Crump, Waters, Jackson et. al. overplay their hand.
It’s clear as day the officer saved the life of an innocent person. It’s on film. Yes, the irrational BLM zealots and rabble-rousers will go out and destroy. The narratives will be written but the truth was shared first. When the Twits have to change their narrative as fast as they have over the last 20 or so hours, it doesn’t bode well for them, even if they are in the streets rioting.
