Devastating. There are no words to adequately reflect the sadness in this day. Our beloved Rush Limbaugh has passed away after a battle with lung cancer.
Wings of angels dear friend,…. on wings of angels. Let us mourn deeply!
Rush Limbaugh, the monumentally influential media icon who transformed talk radio and politics in his decades behind the microphone, helping shape the modern-day Republican Party, died Wednesday at the age of 70 after a battle with lung cancer, his family announced.
Limbaugh’s wife, Kathryn, made the announcement on his radio show.
The radio icon learned he had Stage IV lung cancer in January 2020 and was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Trump at the State of the Union address days later. First lady Melania Trump then presented America’s highest civilian honor to Limbaugh in an emotional moment on the heels of his devastating cancer diagnosis. (more from Fox News)
Rush I hope your dancing in heaven with My Mom who died 8 years ago today. She loved your Show
What a beautiful song. Thank you for posting this.
I miss 2020.
I miss 2019.
i miss 1981.
Rush, like all warriors, fought to the very end, with dignity.
Listener since 1990.
ONE OF THE SADDEST DAYS IN MY LIFE!! I loved that man, I listen to him everyday , I scheduled my days around his show, I had a subscription to his EIB Show, just recently renewed it for two more years, praying they would find a miracle cure for him because we all loved him and needed him!!! There will never be another Rush, I will Always treasures my time with him, May he rest in peace and prayers for his family and loved ones!! he will never be forgotten!!
May he Rest in Peace.
He will always remain a Legacy.
He will always be missed.
A sad day today with his passing.
Rush was the greatest political analyst commentator of ALL time . Yet he underneath that talent was true humility one could detect , and a special
nobility . It wasn’t just talent . He was given a mission snd he was faithful to it . May his soul Rest In Peace . We will miss you Rush !
We’ve lost so much recently and I was hoping against hope that we could have had Rush longer. I’m practicing gratefulness in the face of things that are hard and I’m grateful that I decided to really listen to Rush (and not all of what I had heard about him) and learn what a true gem he was. He’s been my noon time pal for many years and I will miss his commentary and humor. I’m grateful for his life and his gift to all of us. May his life beyond this life be beautiful.
His voice may be gone from the airwaves of the American landscape but will never be absent from the hearts and minds of Patriotic Americans. May his tribe increase as he had hoped and may we all thank God for His precious gift of the life of “RUSH”—the one and only as God has made each of us to make a difference for the BEST—so let us all get out there and MAGA—thank you Rush –thank you Lord for your wisdom for placing Rush in our lives for “such a time as this”
We are all Rush now. Find your strength and use it to continue the fight in his memory. Rush taught us well.
After reading so many of the comments here it occurred to me that while we were all praying for God to heal Rush (me included), maybe God decided it was better if he took Rush home so we would all focus more on God’s plan for us. Rush told us this day would come and I think he was also telling us to take up the conservative cause and carry on his legacy. His loss is incalculable but we can honor him by ensuring this great country that he loved so much continues to be the beacon of freedom he knew it to be. God bless and comfort Kathryn and all his family and extended family.
God what a sad day. I miss Rush already.
Rush’s last day hosting his show was February 2, 2021. He credited The Conservative Treehouse and read extensively from Sundance’s January 30 “Systemic Contingencies” article explaining that Mueller’s true purpose was to conceal the corruption and illegal practices of the coup plotters and Mueller’s own team.

A Safe Journey to ya Rushbo
Sadness & tears I think of the song “ Dust in the Wind” lyrics -Don’t know how to post but seems Appropriate
Today, I felt as though I lost a very close and dear friend though I never met the man. As Rush use to say he’s “TALENT ON LOAN FROM GOD” How true! We are all on loan from God. We ALL have an expiration date. Sadly, his was too soon! Rush was all about God, Faith, Family & Country. No one will ever be capable of replacing him, just like Johnny Carson. My sincere condolence to the Limbaugh Family and his MILLIONS of listeners. He is now in his Eternal Home in the arms of Our Lord. So long, buddy!
It’s exceptional Americans like Rush who make America the exceptional home we all love and cherish. RIP patriot??
I am heartbroken. I’ve cried off and on all day. I feel like a member of my family has passed away…because he was my family. He raised me, brought me up in the political world.
I never missed him since 1990. 3 hours a day since I retired. Before that I planned every lunch hour around his show. I remember sitting in my car eating Krystals and fries laughing hysterically while he called John McCain Yosemite Sam and imitated him to a tee.
I couldn’t wait to hear that opening music…him rattling the papers from his formerly nicotine stained fingers with half his brain tied behind his back…just to make it fair.
There will never be another like him. He could predict the future when it came to the Left and he would be spot on. I remember when he first started talking about the “environmental whackos”. I thought Rush this is ridiculous, get to some real issues. Turns out Rush could always see the future and knew what play the Left would make next.
He was a true visionary. What a great loss for us, his family and the country. I pray for his family and that he is resting in heaven with his mom and dad…telling them all about how the Doctor of Democracy educated millions of us from the Limbaugh Institute for Advanced Conservative studies.
Today marks the end of an era – the loss of an icon! To the conservatives he was a mentor, friend, educator and true American Patriot.
His shows were always done with respect, humor and humility – he provided unlimited time to all those who were willing to openly debate him on air – he listened, he analyzed and he spoke with understanding, knowledge and sage wisdom.
There will NEVER be another Rush Limbaugh – and our hearts go out to his family for their loss. However, his family far exceeded his immediate ones – he leaves behind a nation of millions who came to love him for his candor and his wit. God Speed Rush, and thanks for giving this nation an ear and a mentor. You will be sorely missed.
RIP El Rushbo.
I. Always wanted to call his show and say , “Dittos, Rush. Charter listener.”
I was a housewife with a 3 year old on a Farm, longing for someone to talk with.
I Bookmarked my link to Rush’s show long ago as GOD. It always brought a smile to my face as I clicked on it. Yesterday was no different, until I heard his wife speaking the news none of us wanted to hear, and then the tears began rolling down my face. She was SO BRAVE to come on and give us the news personally. Thank you Kathyrn Limbaugh!
Mark did the show the day before Rush died and that is when I learned just how long he’d been subbing for Rush. I just remember listening to a whole lot of him during the neverending year end vacay and B-Day celebration for Rush in 2019-2020, when Rush finally came back and broke to us his shocking cancer diagnosis.
I love Mark and his humor, but I can’t say I want Mark as the full-time voice though, although I enjoy him as a sub. I think he is too Tuckerish. He acts like President TRUMP did not win in 2020 and I do not appreciate that. I feel that he is one of the cocktail class who is too willing to just move on, as if cheating and theft and lying about it is nothing, and should just be swept under the rug like so many other Swamp Scandals.
I want someone who acknowledges it, talks about it, and gets to the bottom of it, everyone else be damned. I want a new Mayor of REALVILLE once the family has retired Rush’s jersey. And by that I mean they can play the Best of Rush Limbaugh for the rest of the year or longer as far as I am concerned, although I think they should devote at least one hour a day to current events.
I will continue to click on GOD every day until I no longer have reason to. I pray I will have a reason.
Rest in Peace Rush. No one deserves a vacation more than you. Take one for the team please.
I agree with you…all of the above. The audience will find its replacement. Just getting Rush’s slot doesn’t mean you inherit the audience. Gosh I miss Rush.
There’s another hole in my heart. My brother Steve, who passed away two weeks ago, introduced me to Rush in the 90’s and we became huge fans. They’ll be rejoicing together with the angels. America has lost a great Patriot, no words to describe how much Rush has done for our Country. God bless Rush and his family, and may he rest in the Peace of our Heavenly Father and his glorious Kingdom.

Deepest Condolences
Be Rush
With the death of Rush Limbaugh, we have lost a great Conservative thinker and leader. While no one person can fill Rush’s shoes, collectively with everyone making their contribution, we can try.
These are just some of Rush’s accomplishments. I’d like to challenge everyone to come up with one thing they can do to carry on Rush’s legacy.
The darkest day in a string of dark days for the Republic. There will not be another Rush.
An unfathomable loss. I started everyday with my 3 hrs of Rush and if I missed since I am a Rush 24 member would catch up with his website. He was a daily ritual that brought faith, joy and wisdom to the madness we live with being a conservative.
I woke up early yesterday thinking about Rush and said a prayer for him as had become habit and missing him since Feb 2, his last show, he was always on my mind. I turned in on time to hear the devastating news from the beautiful eloquent Kathryn.
I too burst into tears, overwhelming sadness combined with the fearful realization that the day I was dreading had come. That I now have a hole in my life that won’t be filled anytime because there will never be another Rush. He was part of my family, I miss him.
Go with God amazing Rush. Please continue to watch over us from your branch in Heaven.
We are losing too many Constitution/USA loving people who have a platform to speak out against the evils of the Demo-commie-fascists.
Notice how the evil vile DemoCommieFascists live long lives? Unfortunately.
My best friend I never met.
It was noon, on Ash Wednesday, 2/17/2021 as I turned up the volume on WMAL….and then, She spoke, and I knew..Mrs. Kathryn Limbaugh brought us, his faithful listeners, the sad news of the passing of our beloved Rush…Before she released the news worldwide, she thought of US, his faithful listeners and gave us the sad news first..Rush loved his listeners and we loved him.
God Bless Mrs. Limbaugh and his entire family..this is such a sad time for America.
“If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine.” Obi-Wan Kenobi’s words fit well here too. It is no coincidence Rush and the great pro-life hero, Joe Schiedler, died within a month of each other. God knows, of course, better than anyone what is coming down the pike and called these two giants home, so they would have even greater power to fight for America from heaven. We shall need that. God bless them both!
We lost a friend, a mentor.
Thank you Rush for all of your wisdom and humility, your heart of gold.
God bless you and yours.
Amen.
