From the Treehouse crew to soldiers, sailors, and all who serve and protect us from harm, especially those far from home and family. You are valued and we pray for you and your family.
No matter where your service has taken you, we pray you find the warmth and love of the season, that your heart is filled with the joy of the Incarnation, God become man. May the picture of the Christ child in the stable with Mary, Joseph, the shepherds and angels fill you and keep you this season as we all wait and pray for your safe return home.

Oh thank you for the Soldier’s poem. That was very touching and reminds me just how much we all have to be thankful for.

They Lay Alone.
Menagerie, thank you. That’s a very beautiful and moving video. And thank you for all of your articles. Merry Christmas to you! 🙂
And Merry Christmas to all current service members, and to all veterans. I have a lot of gratitude and respect for you.
Does anyone know if the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) is a good organization for me to donate to? According to Charity Navigator, WWP’s program expenses are only 71.5 % of WWP’s total expenses. ( https://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=search.summary&orgid=12842 )
Does anyone here recommend WWP, or maybe recommend another organization that helps current service members and veterans? Thank you.
I would not donate to wounded warriors. Here are two good ones
Ok, thank you.
Why don’t you recommend The Wounded Warrior Project?
Bless You and GodSpeed
to All Past , Present and Future Troops !

Menagerie ! You are Truly *tuned in* to Our Lord ?
Merry Christmas, all!
Please, Lord, any combat-wounded veteran who’s having a terrible time and is alone, please shine a light for him and reach him, Father.
The main portion of our oath bears keeping in mind:
We choose this service for many reasons; for many it’s to protect our values from the forces of tyranny from abroad.
I’m proud to have served; I just pray it has not been in vain.

1972 Berlin Brigade Different world today. Gracias por to do that you do Sundance. Merry Christmas y KAG.
I remember Christmas 2003 in Kuwait and Iraq. The most vivid memory was walking in the sand one night. The stars wee amazing the desert, and singing “I’ll be home for Christmas…” To this day I think about that night, long ago, in a Godforsaken place, and remember the love I felt toward those back home.
I spent my first Christmas away from home at Lackland AFB in 1968. The following year I was humping birds in ROK. In both instances I was fortunate enough to have letters from family and friends to assuage my loneliness. But many of my fellow airmen did not, especially minority guys from big cities. So if you are inclined to write a letter to a total stranger, no matter how awkward it may be for you, rest assured that it will be appreciated by the reader…rough men and women on distant ramparts providing protection of our country.
Operation gratitude always looks for letters to include in care packages. Not sure where else to find address to send letters to.
My daughter and son are both military officers so I thank you for remembering them and their service!
I lost count how many times I’ve been @ 400 ft, all ahead full, or shallow and 6 knots to nowhere at christmas, new years, thanksgiving, and on and on…thanks… very much to all that serve our country…including the federal agents border patrol, CBP, US Marshals, etc…etc….my son on the border now…working christmas eve and xmas day.
I have taken notice of you quiet non observant behavior SD. Merry Christmas Treepers let’s see what comes next. Either way I have never been to a DT rally but you can bet your ass I will be there on 1/6. So will my friends and we are all of the understanding it’s now or never…..again Merry Christmas.
I thought I could get through it without tearing up. I couldn’t.
We still have many brothers and sisters in conflict areas throughout the world. Our president is trying to get many of them home. I hope he succeeds. Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas to ALL!!
Praying for a safe return for all who are deployed, including my husband!
I was in 4 years and was on duty all Christmas Holidays. It was a Christian military 50 years ago, now I’m not sure. I would imagine it might harder today to keep the faith. Best to all who serve anyway.
When the stories are told and the songs are sung, we will all remember those present and gone. It’s who we are. Pass it on. And Merry Christmas!!
i would be remiss if i didn’t take a moment to thank any serviceman or servicewoman protecting us
i’d have been honored to serve alongside you
God Bless and keep you and yours safe

Merry Christmas, Patriots
Rest assured that there are Americans who pray daily for those who serve!
This is why we always stand for the national anthem and our flag to honor our veterans
thank you sundance

Hoping all who are away from Home and Family this Christmas, stay safe and return home to loved ones soon. I do pray for your safe return.
Wow, made me cry. What an awesome poem.
In December 2005 I was getting ready to head to Iraq. Listened to the FSU student radio station Christmas show and loved the playlist so much I called the DJ asking for a copy. He said “Hey brother, I’m a former Marine and I wish you well at war, let me send a CD of all the songs.” Starting with Bing Crosby and the Andrew Sisters and ending with the Ray Charles Singers, that CD took me through two deployments and every Christmas since. Thank you to all those deployed and may you return home safe to your families. Merry Christmas!
My first Thanksgiving and Christmas that I sent away from my family was in boot camp. However, the one that is the saddest to remember for me, was the Christmas aboard ship out in the Persian Gulf. Then it struck me just how far from home that I really was. This video and poem brought all back. Thanks to Sundance and the crew at The Conservative Treehouse for posting this and to everyone else God bless and have a very good Christmas.
Note to President Trump & the millions of true Americans who support him: Thanks to you Mr. President and your supporters for providing classic examples of the criminal actions/actors I refer to below and for not shying away from the battles that may provide me the opportunity to die as a true soldier.
SOLDIER, COP, OR MERCENARY?
As an American soldier serving from 1960 – 1986 and through three recalls since 1989 (Panama, First Gulf War, and the War on Terrorism) followed by 20 years (between recalls) as a civilian cop/security consultant, I have had no illusions since the J.F. Kennedy took office as to the primary recipients of our/my blood and/or sweat. My comrades and I have never fought for God, country, flag, motherhood, apple pie, and/or the girl next door. Under all the oligarchies ruling America since WWII the primary objectives in every overseas military engagement (save two and then only in the initial days) were those close to the hearts, souls, and/or pocket books of the feudal lords who rule over this nation. We ground combat soldiers accepted the fact that we have been mere mercenaries and as such our primary personal objective was to do everything possible to get ourselves and our comrades home in one piece! Just maybe the conflicts that may occur in CONUS (Continental United States or the ‘Land of round eyed women/door knobs and the big PX’ to Korean/Vietnam era soldiers) due to numerous criminal acts that have/are taking place since you sir have taken office will give many of us the opportunity to die as true soldiers fighting for our fellow Americans instead of the gaggle of self-serving, witless, cowards (SSWC) who have placed ruling versus serving/protecting the American people for most of our history!
Soldier/Cop/Grunt/Mercenary, Retired
Don’t forget all the contractors who support the troops. I was in the mideast for 9 years as an electrician ensuring safe electrical installations to protect the troops. I pray for the Presidents safety and our countries Constitution. Bless all the Treepers.
