Presidential Debate Night – President Trump -vs- Joe Biden – 9:00pm ET Livestreams

President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden take part in the first presidential debate between the two 2020 candidates. The Cleveland, Ohio event is moderated by Fox News anchor Chris Wallace who will transparently assist Joe Biden.

The anticipated start time of the debate is 9:00pm ET and will be broadcast on all network channels. To avoid the narrative engineers C-SPAN, OANN and Newsmax will also be broadcasting the debate live.  We are providing the livestream links early to prepare.

Trump’s plan was pretty obvious to me. He had all of the facts at the ready. And it was clear he was holding back some knowledge which he wanted to blast Biden with. That’s ammunition best spend for a kill shot — this is 1 of 3, keep in mind.

Trump’s plan was clearly to keep Biden off script and to keep him confused. It worked. The contrast between Biden in interviews or his internet gaffe sessions and the Biden on stage is so stark that it’s actually concerning. If they had to pump him up with drugs to achieve this result (and I think they did) then they are risking the man’s life over this race. This would be elder abuse of the highest order — nearly equal in horror of risking and ultimately killing thousands of elders in nursing homes with COVID19.

          These dems are ghouls.

PC, apparently he prepared a lot. His press secretary McEnany said so several times. He was not prepared for the unorthodox setup that Wallace pushed through. He and Biden began interrupting PDJT from almost the start. And he protected “Vice President” like he was Secret Service. No harm was going to come to Vice President while Wallace was on duty.

Wallace also allowed no formal rebuttal. Thus Biden could take cheap shots and PDJT would get cut off if he tried to respond. There was no way that PDJT could prepare for what Wallace pulled off.

Even with Chrissy’s help, the whole campaign MO is just not working. Trump is out tonight with a rally. Where will Sleepy Joe be? In the basement with a ‘lid’ on it.

Liz Sheld had a great piece in her column yesterday at American Greatness (scroll down for it):

Morning Greatness: Joe Biden Is the Winner of the First Presidential Debate

Sorry for the scare title, I just want to get you ready for the headlines tomorrow.

Tonight’s the night for the debate, I didn’t think it would happen but here we are. The debate will take place at 9pm ET tonight, which means I probably won’t watch it live as that’s my bed time. There will be no handshake at the beginning of the debate which is really stupid since everyone will be tested for coronavirus. More virtue signalling. The audience will be 80-90 people, all tested for the virus. Will they be wearing masks anyway? I bet they will.

Chris Wallace of Fox News is the moderator, I’m not a fan of Wallace but I guess it could be worse. Wallace can be harsh but he also tends to be less harsh with Democrats. Will he push Biden on his vacuous and vague policies? Will we finally learn all the things that Biden would have done to save the world from the Chinese virus? My money is on “nope.”

The topic of the debate will cover 5 topics: 1) The Trump and Biden records; 2) The Supreme Court; 3) Covid-19; 4) the economy; 5) race and violence in cities; 6) the integrity of the election.

The big question is what will happen with Biden. Will he be jacked up on modafinil and B12 shots? Adderall? Cocaine? Ritalin? Jolt cola? Biden refused a drug test which is kind of a silly thing for a presidential debate but why not call Trump on his bluff? I think we know why, Joe is juiced. Will he give a great performance? Will he be cogent and articulate? Will Wallace push him? The bar is very low for Joe which is dangerous because as long as Biden doesn’t gaffe up or slobber on himself, the Cathedral will anoint him the winner.

President Trump is a wild card, he’s an unknown so there’s no way to predict what how things will play out tonight but one thing is certain: Joe Biden will win the debate. Take that to the bank.

      https://amgreatness.com/2020/09/29/morning-greatness-joe-biden-is-the-winner-of-the-first-presidential-debate/

I heard an interesting take on the radio this morning that President Trump asked Joe all the questions that the MSM should have been asking for the last 4 years. It is amazing how many rabbit holes he exposed in just 90 minutes, all while rope-a-doping with Wallace. There were things the President brought up that my well informed wife would say, “what’s that about? I never heard of that.” So I brought up the Treehouse and began the lesson. I agree with another poster who said that alot of people probably googled Hunter Biden immediately after the debate.

Trump’s ego & lack of preparation led to this, and his handlers did him no favors. Where were Javanka, Kellyanne Conway, and crew? Mark Meadows? No expert herd, but I took a few rhetoric classes & watch the debates every 4 years. I think a hundred or more people here likely could have done a better job.

He should have been prepared with multiple responses with FACTS, ACCOMPLISHMENTS, and tact. He could have had a home run with “race” with simply some practice.

    1. Let Joe talk! Letting Joe ramble -uninterrupted – was a gold mine of mistakes. POTUS prevented that, and cemented his reputation.

    2. Example: “Mr Vice President, my condolences to your loss of your son Beau… he was a truly special young man…

But the rest of your family has a checkered history …

    – While I was pushing Enterprise Zones (never mentioned?) to help all Americans, but especially African Americans, you were enriching your Suster …

    – While I was fighting, pushing, scraping & clawing to pass Prison Reform, when you were VP your Brother landed Billions of Dollars in the Middle East…

    – I pardined boxing great Jack Johnson, and I worked to free thousands of young black men from harsh prison sentences – many that your draconian crime bill put into prison…

    – I even called in a favor with Chairman Xi of China to release 4 young African American men from UCLA – sparting them long, harsh prison sentences … you spent your time as VP globe trotting with your son Hunter & John Kerry son, getting them Billions of dollars of investments & income from China & Ukraine.

I work hard every day for Americans of every race & hue … but I would NEVER… NEVER… tell an African American “you’re not black” if you don’t vote for me. Those are your words Mr. Vice President.

I was sent to Washington to reform this corruption & graft, to produce jobs for America, not Billions for my family.

They said this last time that Trump was losing with women. He beat Hillary with women overall.

By the way have you seen all the suburban women in the boat parades, car parades, rallies and here at the Treehouse? Give it a rest!

And you cannot extrapolate anything from 2018. People voted for Trump that will never vote for Republicans. In 2016, they were first time voters, people who hadn’t voted in many many years, non political people and blue collar workers. They hate Republicans and did not vote in 2018. They will be back out in full force for Trump in November.

Oh and also people have core beliefs and will not change their vote bc of tone. People who hyperfocus on that would never vote for him in the first place.

My mom is 78 and HATES conflict and arguing. Just her personality.

Like many of us she once admired the Bushes and believed them to be a stately family to be admired. To some degree, she followed the Kennedy family, particularly, Rose (although not politically) Perhaps a regional thing or perhaps partly because she was an only child whose father died when she was 6 mos old and she dreamed of a seemly idyllic large family. She epitomizes the “country club Republican label…except she does not belong to a country club.

She voted for Trump in 2016 and will again. She doesn’t love his brashness and thinks he’s too full of himself. Again, her personality…she thinks people should be humble. She doesn’t watch every rally like I do and when I call their house they answer and say Trump Tower to joke because they know how much I LOVE President Trump.

But the long winded point is they love Trump’s policies and what he has accomplished and are well aware of the peril we face as a nation if Trump is not re-elected. Like me, they will crawl over broken glass at 80 and 78 to vote for him. His tone is irrelevant to their vote even if they would prefer it to be different.

Can anyone really imagine a President Biden dealing with the likes of the current crop of foreign leaders? Can anyone imagine him telling Putin to ‘shut up?’ Americans are tired of the world using us for their own benefit. It’s high time we stand up for ourselves and that takes a man like our VSPGPDJT in a leadership role such as the President of these United States of America. GO TRUMP!

The debate was stacked against President Trump by FOX the FIXER Network and Democrat operative and Trump-hater Chris Wallace. I don’t believe ego had anything to do with Trump and his team accepting Wallace as the moderator.

Also, Todd Starnes and/or anyone with evidence that Biden got the questions in advance needs to divulge it NOW !!! In my opinion, if appeared that Biden had been given advance notice.

I don’t agree – I thought our President did a very good job dealing with the Biden/ Wallace team! Wallace interrupted and stopped Trump from responding/ completing his responses overwhelmingly compared to Biden. This affected Trump’s ability to respond in the way you believe he should have.

I think Trump accomplished what he set out to do but he also held back. For example, the fact that Hunter Biden received all that money from that billionaire widow of a Moscow mayor is supported by records. That Biden claimed it was a lie and was debunked is a set up to be used in the future.

Trump has the proof and the fact that he essentially allowed Biden to make these claims in public will come back on him in the next debate. This would be consistent with the times Trump submitted to hostile interviews and then pulled out a notebook with facts which show the media claims are absolutely false.

You’re failing to see Trump as a master at persuasion. And he is. The tactics he used were actually quite predictable once you understand what he’s doing. But Trump had an additional challenge to overcome.

Do you agree that Biden’s performance was in stark contrast to the bumbling and incoherent fool he has been all this time? No one gets “better” with just rest. In fact, too much rest actually makes things like this worse. I think Trump’s suggestion about performance enhancing drugs is likely to be very accurate.

He kept Biden off script and off balance. It worked.

But don’t think for a moment Trump used all of his ammunition in debate 1 of 3.

I am 100% a supporter of President Trump and it infuriates me the way the media and Democrats lie about him constantly. I’m sure many supporters were just as riled up about the many lies Biden told last night. However, the President needs to successfully innumerate his successes to counter the lies during these debates to win over others who only hear from the main stream media. Biden did better than I expected, though. Makes me think he’s faking his dementia symptoms.
Wallace was his usual self. ‘I’m the moderator!’, making it about him. I’m not concerned that Wallace did any damage to PDJT. Anyone watching who wasn’t familiar Wallace would think he’s just a pompous ass.

Rather than watching live, I followed the commentary on CTH until the debate ended, and was prepared for some kind of negative performance by PDJT. What I saw was the opposite. He got lots of great jabs in even though Wallace tried to cut him off many times. Those are the things people are going to research tomorrow.

I loved how PDJT mentioned that Biden called the military stupid b#$tards. I saw that video. He said it in a speech! All of the Hunter info that he mentioned is going to spike searches tomorrow. Many people have no idea about his no-show 6-figure jobs and million $ pay-outs. That is the kind of recent news that is going to make people not vote for Sleepy Joe. PDJT nailed the last question about respecting the results of the election. That question is always stated as though – if you don’t say ‘yes, of course I’ll respect the results’, you are therefore a dictator. Why would he respect it if there’s fraud and cheating? It’s not about him winning. it’s about the American people getting the President they voted for!

I agree. I think that any “politician” who has been in office for multiple decades is a liar. They lie to cover their incompetence and lack of real accomplishment. Any private sector employee would be fired immediately for that kind of job performance. Instead politicians are allowed to “fail upward”. They all protect each other in their echo chamber of self importance. This is why we need term limits more than anything. Having a liar for 4 or 8 yrs is better than having one for 47 yrs.

I was cheering towards the end when Wallace asked the question about conceding and Trump said it was the Dems. who never have conceded the 2016 election, that they tried to remove him by coup and it was Biden who suggested using the Logan act against Flynn, etc.

Trump looked like his blood was boiling and rightfully so. He used great restraint in not knocking Joe’s block off.

No matter how you look at this, their intent was to try to make the President look bad. Decorum? PT doesn’t care about appearances, he cares about results and he’s already accomplished that. Wallace lost any credibility by constantly interrupting PT. Biden done the same by calling the President a liar and telling him to shut up.

Trump explained the $750 tax question which I am certain none of the liberals knew about. As for going into detail about his accomplishments, anyone who has been paying attention the last 3 1/2 years already knows what Trump has done for us. The rest do not matter.

“Trump explained the $750 tax question”

      No he didn’t …
      ….not very well

… he got a couple sentences in and got sidetracked before he could get to the main points

      He didn’t get out that:

      – he had prepaid some $5 million in estimated tax when requesting extensions

      – the $750 was simply the trivial remainder due after his pre-payments carried forward and essentially zeroed him out for those years

That’s the core of the story and he absolutely didn’t get it out before getting sidetracked

      Here’s Dick Morris’ quotes

Contrary to the false impression in the New York Times story, Donald Trump did not avoid taxes. He prepaid them.

In 2016 and 2017, he requested and got an extension to file his returns. As required, he made an estimated tax payment of $1 million in 2016 and $4.2 million in 2017.

Then, it turned out that he did not owe that much in taxes, but rather than demand the money back, he let the IRS keep it and apply it to any future tax he owed.

So when he only paid $750 in taxes for the first two years of his presidency, it was because he had already overpaid during the two previous yearsand just reduced his payment by that amount.

Tonight we saw some of the damage — no doubt well-planned — created by Chris Wray’s deliberate misinformation about Antifa, white supremacy and the riots. Biden invoked the preposterous claims of Trump’s FBI director twice. We’re all responsible to be properly informed — but when Trump’s own appointees are actively perpetuating lies, you have to forgive people at least to some extent for being confused or getting it wrong.

Obviously Trump wants Wray gone yesterday, and we know he’s waiting until after the election. But if you think of the difference it would make to have an honest and competent FBI director — across SO many fronts (FISA, Spygate, riots, election fraud, Antifa) — it’s just outrageous that this is where we are.

I’ll add that having Trump’s own people selling the lies is one of the biggest obstacles I face in trying to red pill people. I know but you’re missing the point — he appointed them, they are quite literally “his people.” I 100% understand that he is besieged by the swamp; but I’m talking about why it’s hard to red-pill people, because it is not AT ALL obvious or intuitive that the president of the United States would be surrounded by people he appointed working against him for nearly 4 years.

When you know something, you have can become unable to recognize that when people DON’T know, they truly don’t know and make assumptions accordingly. And it’s a tough learning curve on secretly subversive appointees, especially when there are so many.

10:50pm-“This debate was a good example of something we touched on in today’s show. The conversation, and the topics of conversation, are all framed in the left’s terms: Trump is pressed on his taxes, but Biden gets a pass on his corruption. Trump is ordered to distance himself from the “Proud Boys”, whom 90 per cent of Americans have never heard of, but Biden isn’t asked about the Democrat mobs 90 per cent of Americans see on TV every night rampaging across Minneapolis, Atlanta, Rochester, Louisville…”

10:05 PM—”The Trump interruption-avalanche was designed to get Biden to say something idiotic or ugly in the first half-hour that would be the audience takeaway. Biden never quite fell into the trap”

9.50pm “Just out of curiosity,” says Trump, “why did the Mayor of Moscow’s wife give Hunter three-and-a-half million dollars?” Wallace, affronted at a candidate who asks sharper questions than the moderator, rouses himself to object to Trump straying beyond the bounds of the format. The formats of these debates are bollocks, and I’m glad to see someone punching through them.”

Remember, Trump knows how to use rhetoric and dialectic, and he did not let Biden just spend time lying about Trump and rehashing Biden’s campaign talking points. This is a debate, not the Biden Podcast from the basement.

Notice…Biden did not answer questions of any kind. Or elaborate on his plans. Or give details of what he wants to do. Trump forced him to disavow the left’s own green new deal and Bernie Sanders.

What’s his stance on packing the court? Law enforcement? Nothing. Biden can’t even explain what “weatherizing” millions of home means. He keeps talking about “green jobs” but not the loss of all the existing jobs that he plans on getting rid of.

Trump won the debate when he did not allow himself to be sucked in to the white supremacist trap that Wallace set for him. He told Wallace something along the lines of “It is a left -wing problem Chris”. #3. Biden was obviously lucid because he was juiced up on speed. Can he handle that again in any next debate?

#4. Trump has put up with sheer Hell for four years. He has probably very recently come to terms with the fact that Barr is not going to do anything about the coup plotters. He is frustrated and angry. It showed in the debate.

according to the NY Times – 9/29/20
The Commission on Presidential Debates has divided the 90-minute event, the first of three presidential debates in the coming weeks, into six 15-minute segments. Mr. Wallace has selected six broad topics: Mr. Trump’s and Mr. Biden’s political records, the Supreme Court, the coronavirus, the economy, race and violence in cities, and the integrity of the election.

Does anyone see the topic about Presidents’ taxes – Has anyone ever
requested to see Biden’s/son’s taxes – with all of China and Ukraine
    money that has been documented?

The NY Times published an article just a few days before the debate – about the Prez taxes which had to be obtained illegally – and yet, the moderator went with that questionable information to ask, “I want to ask you a specific question – Is it true ……” Funny how he couldn’t trust Biden to ask him – just shows you how low Fox/Wallace can go – and – did you notice how every time the 2 debaters finally got to debate – the moderator stepped in to change the topic. He knew Biden had no answers –

I’ve watched Presidential debates for a long time now. I have come to believe that it is not possible to get the MSM to tell the truth about them. They just refuse to do it, and it is one of the most egregious examples of their political bias. For them, the ‘Rat always wins, no matter how badly someone like me, who watched the debate, thinks the ‘Rat got his butt kicked.

I remember seeing W just beat the pants off of Gore; I mean, he just smashed Gore all night long on solid substance. When the newspapers came out the next day, I wondered if they had seen the same debate I had because we certainly had diametrically different opinions of what we had seen happen.

Consequently, I have come to the conclusion that it is a waste of time to watch these shows, and post-debate recaps aren’t worth much either. This is because there is simply no chance of getting a non-partisan, objective answer from the left. They handle this issue just as they do every other issue where reality displays them in a negative light, i.e,, they refuse to answer the question, insult the questioner, and do their best to change the subject. They are dishonest to the core, and that isn’t going to change. They just need to be beaten as badly as the honest people in this country can manage.
