Yes because they are too busy printing lies about him. I inadvertently clicked on a New York Times article not realizing it was The NY Times, (the link didn’t indicate). I read the article anyway.

It was all about how President Trump could have been guilty of money laundering in the past through big new york banks. Lies, all of it. They will do anything to ruin his chances at re-election…..SMH.

It’s frightening that many will read it and believe it. It was all innuendo so they couldn’t be held liable. They are criminally smart.

I was compelled to post this story to honor the memory of Trump supporter Jake Gardner. It began on May 30th and ended this week. (GP)

Jake was caught in a typical BLM no win scenario when he shot and killed a black man outside his Nebraska bar. (video below) The Douglas County DA, Kleine concluded the shooting was self defense and Jake was not indicted. But after BLM’s intense pressure was applied; the DA reversed his decision and indicted him. Judge Shelly Stratman appointed a special counsel, (African American) Fredrick Franklin, to investigate and he charged Jake with manslaughter; attempted assault due to the second warning shot and making terrorist threats linked to ‘a verbal confrontation.’ Outlandish charges IMO. –“We see what we want to see,” including politically chosen SC’s.

It’s obvious who knocked Jake’s elderly father to the ground first prior to the shooting and who the aggressors were but BLM gets its way in 2020. Jake’s family was obviously being doxed and receiving numerous death threats just like previous “victims” so Jake’s “suicide” occurred near Portland where he was staying with a relative.

Bullies walking the streets and creating fear and chaos are common now in many places and if any white person (civilian or police), they’ll likely be considered the aggressor even with video evidence. The Dem’s chaos scheme is working well for them.

Communists don’t want anyone to have a faith in an afterlife. If they can get you to have an atheistic outlook and believe this flesh you are in is all you’ve got, you can be controlled. You can be threatened with starvation, torture, prison, and you will bend to their will. But when a man has a belief in an ethical or moral set of standards that he is held to by a higher power, and that he has an existence beyond the flesh where he will be answerable to those standards, that man can not be controlled.

Persecution of religious belief by the CCP is about controlling people.

The less-than-esteemed Senator from Alaska Lisa Murkowski is, once again, by her advance word, not going to support the Republican Party’s nominee for the Supreme Court. She is, by the way, nominally a Republican.

Her reasoning? (don’t titter): she’s obeying the non-existent rule that you can’t nominate anyone for the High Court a year, thereabouts, before a Presidential election.

The real reason is that Democrats just get so, you know, agitated, about this business. Murkowski and Mittens would no doubt prefer President Trump carry out the bipartisan, reach-across-the-aisle, Mr Nice Guy act of nominating a Democrat. To the tenetless two, that would be the acme of bipartisanship.

Murkowski would ingenuously tell you that Democrats just get so worked up about these picks, while Republicans, uh, not so much. We need to humor them.

And there you see one of the main reasons for all the violence and rioting: to intimidate the legions of spineless Republican politicians.

The best (?) lack all conviction, while the worst are full of passionate intensity.

Let’s be honest if you’ve ever spent the last few days with an elderly cancer patient, she probably wasn’t conscious. That said, her lingering and likely biggest lasting regret in life was waiting to retire so HRC could appoint her replacement. That was probably on her mind. The childish “RGB’s dying wish” is most likely nonsense and media fodder.

Nothing better shows the extreme hypocrisy of NY scumbag politicians like Killer Cuomo and DelAssholio than this story.

It also shows the Chi Com style of overbearing “governance” that we have in the People’s Republic of NY. As it becomes painfully obvious, even by the Government’s own numbers, there is no more epidemic, if there ever was one to begin with.

I spent the day on Main St. in my tourist town on the Hudson, watching all the liberal freaks from NYC and downstate walking around in full muzzles. If anything, it’s gotten worse since the numbers have gotten better. Now the face coverings of choice are those masks that cover everything up to the eyeballs with many opting to wear sunglasses so their faces are completely concealed. Stores and restaurants are still not at full capacity and many will never reopen after the winter.

We Patriots must continue to stand strong, hold the line, do whatever is necessary and never, ever give in to most evil, spawn of Satan DemonRats. From here on out we must consider ourselves to be in war mode because they will be coming for us. President Trump is a leader for the ages and luckily they fear him greatly.

This is extremely tragic and unjust. There should be marches in honor of Gardner. He was the victim of political persecution over his race. It was clearly self-defense, but the DA caved to BLM/Dem pressure and charged a man for defending his property, then his life from BLM rioters trying to choke him to death. People can’t let this go in silence, this was a good man hounded to death by the Left. He was literally driven to despair and suicide by a corrupt system. In his memory, people should march and protest the District Attorney.

Her FIL is in fact a federal judge appointed by Clinton, but that doesn’t necessarily make her a RINO. My in-laws were flaming liberals and their views never swayed me.

She has a long record in the FL 3rd district, 13 years. Plenty of opportunities to view her judicial philosophy. Unfortunately, not a lot of federal issues in state court. I presume the WH is pouring through those records, as well as the records of others on the short list. I know when she was nominated to the FL Supreme Court she was adamant that judges shouldn’t legislate from the bench and limit their decisions to what is written in the law.

If she’s the pick the D’s will go at her on judicial ethics at a minimum. Already rumblings about her ruling on an 11th circuit case from FL, D’s say she should have recused. She never ruled on case in FL but did advise DeSantis as to interpretation of law. It’s a stretch, she can defend herself handily, but that’ll be one issue they go after her on.

I just hope whoever is vetting these potential nominees is looking for a solid conservative. If only we could clone ourselves another Scalia.🤣

          • You’ve just hit on what I see as THE most important issue – if our Constitutional Republic is to have any chance to be saved.

It is not racist to notice that demographically one is being replaced. Intentionally. And being forced to pay for the privilege.

It is not racist to notice that the people who are present illegally are not people who respect the law. Nor are they people who teach their many progeny to respect the law.

It is not racist to observe that people present illegally are a huge and endless financial drain on American taxpayers.

It is not racist to observe that the vast majority of immigrants and illegal aliens, when they vote, vote for leftists.

It is not racist to point out that areas with large illegal populations quickly turn into repeats of those countries from which they *escaped*. Only to recreate the same conditions.

It is not racist to realize that people present illegally have not as a general rule learned to appreciate America’s history, Constitution, federalism, or the reasons for our chosen system of government, and their children don’t seem to be very aware of the benefits either.

It is not racist to remember that America is a sovereign nation and WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO CONTROL OUR BORDERS.

For forty years American citizens (in earlier times including the coasts) were screaming to control our borders; politicians acknowledged us during election season, but treated us like we had “locked-in syndrome” the rest of the time.

I don’t expect all of the babies dropped on our soil by illegal aliens and given American citizenship completely CONTRARY to our Constitution since 1982 (per a stupid throw away line in dicta!) to have their citizenship removed, but this has got to be corrected.

Does anyone have a brutally OBJECTIVE analysis of Trump’s drug price executive order? The story seems to have been lost in the RBG death news, but it seems like a significant story.

    • Somebody says:

I haven’t seen much coverage of it either. I like the idea. I’ve said for years the prices we pay for drugs are like a hidden tax, hidden foreign aid to be exact.

I happened to have had the misfortune to walk in the cancer world. I was shocked to find out the disparity in prices. At the time there was hot debate and discussion about a drug for chronic leukemia that generally affects older people. I was in that realm because of my child but paid attention to other issues.

A fairly new miracle drug was bankrupting people here in the US. It was costing them $7,000 to $12,000 a month depending on dose. People in other countries with socialized medicine were getting it free, but their countries were paying $1,200 to $3,400 per month depending on dose. In India it was $150 to $300 per month. A pipeline was set up to help people get it from India.

It was a real eye opener for me. This drug was developed here in the US, research partially funded by our tax dollars. Yet our seniors were losing their life savings trying to stay alive. This was before Medicare part D, although part D didn’t bring down prices and in fact raised prices on many drugs. The supposed help drug companies offer if you can’t afford their drug require you to be homeless and bankrupt or at least it did for this drug.

I was hoping for something like this executive order rather than just negotiating. I’ve no doubt the Trump administration could negotiate great deals, but they won’t always be there. If true Americans get lowest price, that is far more than I hoped for. I was hoping we’d pay an average based on western nations or an average + 20% or something. This is far better, but would be best in legislation passed by Congress.

Drug companies have been price gouging Americans for decades. We have all kinds of consumer protection laws against price gouging. I care far more about price gouging on life saving drugs than I do a gallon of gas. Other nations will end up paying more as prices level out, but they’ve enjoyed lower prices most often at our expense. They can pay market price and while they’re at it pay for their own defense too. I’m tired of being the world’s piggy bank.

Based on the negative ads, I’d say POTUS is over the target😉 This will be a substantial savings for Americans, particularly older Americans who tend to be the biggest consumer of prescription drugs.

In a nutshell, Americans were required to *subsidize* the rest of the world’s healthcare and medical expenses including drugs, plus energy, defense, and other costs, while other (EU) countries skated on *our* dime.

Socialists survive on “other people’s” money. I guess our politicians agreed it was A-OK to exfiltrate American wealth, going as far to export one-third of our uranium, as long as they got their kickbacks.

Americans (unknowingly) went along with this “lopsided” economic trade model (NAFTA, Paris Accord, UN Agenda 21) for too many decades, as our politicians (both Democrats and Republicans) made out like bandits.

We lost our manufacturing as a result. We were forced to *import* our energy, technology, food and medical needs at a much greater cost, while other nations (like CHINA) prospered.

It got so bad that our taxes were used as their personal piggy bank. Apparently France’s social programs collapsed when we pulled out of the Paris “Climate” Accord, along with some California pension funds.. (?)..

“Globalists” despise President Trump only because they want to continue exploiting us. They want their lopsided gravy train to continue, but now we “the people” have their number.

Here is what is missing in the stories about the “drug companies” “price gouging.” When drug companies sell drugs to a foreign country where there is a govt-run health care system, they are forced to sell at price set by that government- the govt. makes the contract. As well, those governments only ALLOW certain drugs to be sold. In other words, the citizens of those countries have a LIMITED number of drugs to choose from and their Government sets the price. Makes sense right?

In the US, we have access to the cornucopia of drugs that the drug companies research, test, produce and market at the drug company’s cost and risk. (many drugs do not make it out of the research process) So, yes, if you compare a particular drug price sold in the US to a particular drug price sold in a foreign country, the price will be higher in the US but that is because the US consumer has the benefit of a selection of all kinds of drugs versus the socialized medicine country, the US consumer is paying for the selection of drugs that are researched and produced. Understand? Would you rather a lower price with no selection in the States?

As well, Drug companies HAVE been offering amazing discounts for drugs. The middlemen, the health insurance companies, are absorbing the discounts and charging full price to the end user…..THAT is the issue that needs to be addressed and litigated.

        • Somebody says:

Well that’s true and not true. First of all many drugs are slower to market here than in other countries due to FDA red tape. Many, many drugs are available in Europe years before they are brought to market here.

Yes, there are drugs that some countries choose not to make available to their populations due to cost. About a decade ago there was a breast cancer drug removed in the UK for that reason.

I would assume if a drug is not available in another country to key the price off of then the US price would sort of be open season, but I don’t see the EO limiting the drugs available. We’ll still have the same FDA approval process, if a drug clears those hurdles it will be available. I can see a potential loophole pharma might use. Tweak a drug to be slightly different and market it exclusively to the US. Hopefully, allowing importation from other countries will dampen that.

As for the cost of research and development and many drugs being a bust that is absolutely true. It is also absolutely true that Americans pay the lion share of those costs via higher drug prices, sometimes excessively higher. To add insult to injury our tax dollar largess funds a lot of R&D so we pay twice.

Again I don’t see this limiting drug selection. I see it as leveling the playing field and stopping the back door subsidies of other nations by the American consumer.

Tax dollars do NOT fund public pharma companies research & development unless by agreement for something the world desperately needs…like a covid vaccine. There are grants for specific research but overwhelmingly, the r&d investment of public pharma company is at risk funds.

A lot of grants funded by tax dollars are poured into cancer drug research, mostly at the university level but that often leads to drug development. There are also grants for research on other issues like diabetes or heart disease and for more rare disorders like ALS.

Research for all of the above are also funded by donations to various charities.

To be fair other nations do fund and support R&D, we’re just much bigger and yes pharmaceutical companies pour very large sums of their money into R&D. I don’t think anyone would dispute that or dispute the fact that many drugs turn out to be a bust so that’s money lost for the company. It’s also the pharmaceutical company that bears the cost of clinical trials, quite often a drug looks promising until it’s well into clinical trials

I am in no way, shape or form disputing that pharmaceutical companies risk huge sums of money in research and development. Nor am I in any way claiming that those companies are not entitled to recoup their investments or to make a profit.

I am only advocating for an even playing field. At one point in my life I could name a couple dozen drugs that we Americans paid 50 to 300% more for than others around the world. Surely you have to see that other countries are skating on the backs of Americans quite often when it comes to prescription drugs, just as they do in other areas.

This in NOT about eliminating profit for pharma, it’s about leveling things out.

If the Constitution is the guide, then NO, he has no authority to address the subject of “drugs” in the Constitution, nor in any amendment. He cannot do by EO what he is not permitted to do lawfully under the Constitution.

But for generations, we have had Presidents who have made unlawful executive orders because no one stopped them. We don’t stop them because of we don’t care or we are constitutionally ignorant.

By objective I just meant more of a legal or “how it will work” analysis. I read a good article from Forbes back in August on what the present was saying he wanted to do, but I’m not finding much on what the executive orders will actually mean now that Trump signed them and announced them.

When the EOs get away from the Constitution, I”m afraid I’m not much help to you. Some may need statutes to put them into effect, (like some treaties do), some may not. All sort of fuzzy once we depart from the Constitution.

There is no doubt addressing this via legislation is the optimal way to go. Unfortunately, big pharma throws their money around the halls of congress quite freely.

If the EO has a chance to take effect AND does what the President has promised, the impact will be immediate and dramatic unless there are grandfather clauses. It may well end up being ruled unconstitutional by the courts, but if it has kicked in before that Congress may be facing pitchforks and torches if they don’t codify it into law.

I can confirm Henry. My “Bride” works for ******** in a position that requires 100% travel. She had a recent assignment in Dallas. Huge number of “check-ins” from out of state. Not unusual, but during this assignment, police were called for: under age prostitution, drug use/sales, fraudulent credit card operations, gun shots(one entered a room where the guest was out, thankfully), 5-6 occupants in one room. All unusual considering this is a brand that most of us have stayed at and would consider “upscale”.

Her current assignment is in the Coeur d’Alene, Idaho area. Nothing unusual thus far.

She has been in the business over 25 years. I can tell you she is very concerned about what she has witnessed. Again, I will reiterate this is a brand that would be in the top 3 largest in the world. Not a cheap one “where they leave the light on for you”.

Just watched some US musician guy on France 24 bemoaning the “totalitarian” state of the current US under President Trump. Now I have to seriously question my existence – Am I in fact living in an alternate universe, where some people experience a completely different reality in real time, but yet we are completely unaware of it happening?? From my reality, it has been President Trump pushing back against the “totalitarians” with their forced lock downs, their mask mandates, their self-imposed “no go areas” their “right” to burn, loot, etc. They drool about enforcing laws about where you can go, what you can drive, what schools you must attend, what you can say, the conditions (PC) of your employment, what is “correct” speech” what history is acceptable, ETC – all things I and many likeminded are vehemently opposed to, PRECISELY because it curtails the RIGHT of the individual to think, say, live and go (without violating the rights of others) – yet this is somehow being totalitarian? Are there 2 or more “dimension” where more than 1 “reality” plays out in real time?? – either that or everything I’ve ever known is just an illusion.

I was so desperate after eight years of obama and probably dejected is a better description of my entire attitude.

With each new Republican chosen as the week’s front runner by fake news, my enthusiasm was all over the map. Mr. Graham w/ a not so interesting 5% or another Bush at 15% or Mr. Jindal at 30% and so on. At one time Mr. Rubio came in highest as 65%-70% because I felt we might back a person w/ a Cuban/American heritage.

To be entirely truthful though I came to my senses rather quickly w/ candidate Trump. As the field began thinning down to what would eventually be a two or three serious contenders I selected Mr. Trump as my ride and die leader and better yet, all my apprehension melted away.

A final thought. Where many conservatives were questioning whether or not he was conservative enough or if he would govern center right I never questioned it. He said he would and I believed him from jump. I mention it not to toot my own horn but dur to me being very poor at reading a person’s honesty.

The Gender Feminist–New Left–Marxist Axis Attacks All Civil Society
    19 Sep 2020

    https://mises.org/wire/gender-feminist-new-left-marxist-axis-attacks-all-civil-society

Gender feminism became prominent in the 1970s and ’80s. It is called “gender” feminism because this form of feminism explains the world by dividing men and women into antagonistic classes. Also known as third wave feminism, its ideological successor is sometimes called fourth wave feminism; it focuses on equity for women and minorities, the use of social media as a political weapon, and on intersectionality.

The New Left was a broad coalition of liberals, radicals, and unorthodox Marxists in the 1960s. The word “New” distanced it from pure Marxism and the Old Left which focused on labor. By contrast, the New Left championed cultural causes such as feminism and gay rights. This is a Maoist approach to revolution—a cultural revolution to change “the system” by upending the traditions and institutions upon which everything else rests. That’s why the New Left was sometimes called the counterculture. Social justice emerged in its wake.

Marxism is the theory and practice of communism; it advocates class warfare as a path to a society in which there is no private property and goods are available based on need. The different schools of communism are united by some core beliefs. Two of them: capitalism is exploitation, and people are defined by their class affiliation.

All three movements condemn capitalism and believe that people are their “identity”—their race, for example. “Identity” is now the word preferred over “class” but the words mean basically the same thing. Because class is a fundamental concept to FLM and their successors, examining how it is handled can test how closely they are aligned politically.

A class is a group of people who share a common characteristic that serves the purpose of whoever is doing the grouping. A cancer researcher may group subjects according to types of cancer, for example. FLM all approach class for the purpose of forging ideology and political revolution. They all use relational class analysis, in which a class is defined by its relationship to an institution. Marx used the relationship to ownership of production to divide people into capitalists and workers.
