***Today’s WeBuildTheWall / Fisher Industries posts***
    (Previous posts:

Note: Most of the WBTW related social media accounts are covering coronavirus, politics, or illegal alien crimes. We will probably be in a quiet period regarding private wall content until the next project(s) are near completion. However, Fisher Industries is proceeding full speed ahead on at least 95 miles of federal border wall contracts.

The praises (much of which are older news) have been provided for those who wish to give thanks for them before praying for the wall prayer requests. I may add to, trim back, or simplify from time to time as projects/events progress or come to completion. If there is any new wall news I’ll list them in the update below. Otherwise, feel free to page down or scroll past.
    – – – – –
Saturday night update – 8/1/20 – (See link above.)

    – Tweet with short clip mentioning Trump’s recent win in the Supreme Court where the court refuses to stop border wall construction.
    – FreeRepublic post by BeauBo breaking down Monday’s border wall update.

    – Updated TusconStar article: CBP considers outsourcing border wall construction to ‘private entities’ near Tucson

    – – – – –
    Sunday night update – 8/2/20

    – Just posting the prayer post today.

    – – – – –
***Praise: 🧱 (Project 1: May/June 2019)… WBTW/Fisher Industries was able to build a half mile wall up the side of a mountain in 11 days (with zero safety incidents), cutting off 19 major drug cartel trails, and closing off one of the worst areas along the border… (Sunland Park, NM)
***Praise: 👍 (11/20/19)… DHS Secretary Chad Wolf & CBP Chief gave a huge endorsement to WeBuildTheWall & Fisher industries project while visiting Project 1. CBP Chief called it a “Game Changer”. It’s the only time CBP or DHS have ever endorsed a wall builder.

***PRAISE: 🧱 (12/2/19)… Fisher Sand & Gravel was awarded a $400M border wall contract to build 31 miles of wall in the Cabeza Prieta National Wildlife Refuge in Yuma County, Arizona.

***Praise: 🧱 (Project 2 complete: Feb 17)… Fisher Industries was able to build 3.5 miles of wall along the Rio Grande River in Mission, Texas. Project 2’s “water wall” design is the first border wall that’s ever been built inside the floodplain.

***Praise: 🔍 (Reported on 12/18/19)… Senator Kevin Cramer was able to complete his in-depth review of the USACE’s procurement process and send a letter with his findings and recommendations to President Trump on 12/6/19.
***PRAISE: 🧱 (5/6/20)… Fisher Sand & Gravel was awarded a $1.28B border wall contract to build 42 miles of wall in southern Arizona, most of which will run from Nogales to the eastern boundary of the Tohono O’odham Nation. It’s the largest border wall contract that’s ever been awarded.
(Complex terrain, which includes rugged mountains and water crossings)

***PRAISE: (6/11/20)… Foreman Mike stated that Fisher Industries now has ~95 miles of border wall contracts out of the 450. (Of the 95, only ~73 miles are accounted for in the federal awards which have been reported.)

***Praise: (7/6/20)… Fisher has partnered with Holcombe Mixers “to fast-track border wall construction.” Holcombe is providing one Holcombe HM10H and seven HM12H volumetric models which can pour 20 to 25 loads of fresh concrete each day (vs. 2 to 5 loads with a traditional drum mixer) without exceeding required temperatures.

🙏 Prayer for the work crews. 🙏
Heavenly Father, we pray in Jesus’ name (& according to Your will):
    – for safety, health, and good weather for the work crews as they continue working on WBTW’s private projects… as well as Fisher’s Federal 7.6M/800 foot contract, the 400M/31 mile contract, the 1.28B/42 mile contract for border wall, and any other projects they may be working on; that Fisher would be able to continue uninterrupted until completion.
    – that Fisher would be able to safely and smoothly transition(scale up w/ equipment, manpower, etc.) to be able to build 1+(to 2?) miles of wall per day.
(Tommy Fisher has previously stated that, given a large enough project, they would be able to build 1 mile of wall per day within 3 months. So this process may have started as early as mid-April or May 6th… and will possibly be ramped up by mid-August??? Just a guess…)

    – that the DoD IG’s office audit of the $400 million border wall contract which the USACE awarded Fisher Sand & Gravel would show everything is fair and above board; that the swamp in DoD and USACE wouldn’t be able to corrupt the process; & that Fisher would be authorized to proceed with the project as planned. (Backstory/timeline)
***Praise: (4/15/19)… Fisher Industries has been awarded a 7.6M contract modification to build 800 linear feet of 30-foot bollard barrier while the original 400M contract is still under review by the DoD IG’s office. My guess is this will give further evidence to the IG that Fisher Industries was justified in receiving the original 400M contract. (Details)
***Praise:… Update: Looks like work has already begun on this 31 mile project, despite the ongoing audit. Photos showing well over 800 feet of wall, started appearing around the end of April. No official word yet though.

    – for WBTW/Fisher Industries regarding the ongoing lawsuits; that both sides would be able to resolve any potential issues(erosion, construction, maintenance, etc.) and the lawsuits would be dismissed.
    (July 8)… Hearing summary…
    – for the next hearing in Judge Randy Crane’s court which was reset for an additional 30 days at the joint request of the U.S. Gov. & Fisher to the first week in September.
    – for the site inspection of Project 2 which is currently scheduled for Monday, Aug 3, unless something changes

    – for Fisher crews at Project 2 as they continue to fill/fix any issues related to erosion, reseeding of grass (hydroseed), applying rip-rap (rubble) or concrete where necessary; or applying fabric that binds the soil or rocks until the erosion control grass is established and able to hold the sand/soil in place

    – that Fisher would be able to come up with affordable, scalable, innovative solutions to greatly shorten the landscape establishment period and strengthen the long-term stability(resistance to erosion) for all types of riverbank soil which may be encountered so that the landscape can handle the stronger hurricanes/waterflows which may arrive in the future
Brainstorming possible solutions: Compost erosion control blanket, pneumatically blown in w/ seeds & other ingredients to a depth of at least 2”. Rapid growth & resistance to erosion from the start. Consistent outcome over variable site/soil conditions. Not sure how affordable/scalable the approach is though…
    Possible companies/products ?… (1) Rexius certified Terraseeding®/Ecoblanket®/Microblend® process; (2) Filtrexx® Compost Erosion Control Blanket™, etc.

    – that WBTW would be able to find corporate sponsors for Project 3. (They already have a major construction equipment manufacturer and are looking for a solar LED security lighting manufacturer or supplier.)
    – that Rep. Warren Petersen’s (R-AZ) bill, HB 2084, making it easier to build border wall on private property in Arizona would get passed.
***Praise: (Feb 6)… The bill passed AZ house on reconsideration with 31-29 party line vote. Next, it goes to the Senate.

    – for the bi-national summit with the Mexican IBWC and American politicians that WBTW will be hosting; for open lines of communication/understanding; and that WBTW/Fisher Industries would learn what they need to know to facilitate the sign off and approval of their projects by the Mexican IBWC.

    – for 100% safety/health/guidance/direction/salvation(through faith in Christ Jesus) for the work crews, security personnel, legal teams, CBP, DHS, Army, National Guard and all involved in WBTW/Fisher Industries private or federal projects; and for WBTW/Fisher Industries as they work with private landowners to secure more property to build on
    – that work would go smoothly with continual, innovative improvements in method/process/efficiency and quality of construction; and with transitioning as they scale up capacity(manpower, equipment, etc.) to build larger projects

    – (May 29 – CBP notice)… for Fisher to come up with innovative solutions or improvements requested by CBP “related to the anti-climb/anti-cut features of the border wall” (Deadline: June 12)
    – that there would be no outside interference (cartels, IBWC, courts/judges, protesters, swamp, etc.) and that if outside interference takes place that it would only work toward WBTW/Fisher Industries/USA’s benefit (exposing corruption, raising awareness, fundraising, etc.)

    – that Project 2’s wall will prove that the design is sound and that WBTW/Fisher Industries are capable of safely and effectively building it on a large scale in the Rio Grande Valley, with a superior build, at the lowest price
    – that the federal government would provide funding for WBTW &/or Fisher Industries to build 250+ miles of wall on Private Property in Texas
(…assuming the “water wall” design is shown to work and be appropriate in the floodplain)
    – that the Government would purchase all of WBTW/Fisher Industries projects so the funds can be rolled into future projects and Fisher Industries will be able to scale up with additional equipment and manpower as needed.

Thanks for those links yesterday. Yeah, Forman Mike does mention 7′ deep, but that is the bollard depth. I feel there will be a sump under this of a few feet. the early pictures of placing bollards in the ground shows a nest of reo bar being fixed to the bollards before placement in the trench.
As for concrete pours. As I understood the process, each Cat picked up a frame full of bollards and foundation reo attached Bollards were placed in trench. This took approx. 1/2 hr. Cement poured and allowed to set for 3-3 1/2 hrs. Detach, rinse and repeat.

So 4 hour turn around, 16 hr day = 4 frames per Cat.

To me it is 1/2 hr load up that is the limiting factor of how fast they can go. As it is only feasible to have one loading point.

        You’re welcome Aussie ~

I was wasn’t always clear how they did the rebar on project 1. During the demo days Fisher had before Project 1, videos showed CAT moving around with rebar that had been attached to the panels. The CATs would place the panels w/ rebar in the trench. Though it also looked like there was rebar in the trench as well . So maybe there are two types of rebar?… (maybe different types or gauges of rebar?)… I don’t know much about types of rebar placement in concrete.

On Project 1 it looks like Fisher used the same process.

Fisher Border Wall El Paso, TX Extended Cut Version

        2:23 & 2:38 – CATs moving toward trench w/ pre-attached rebar.

2:51 – Shows crews attaching rebar mesh to bollards after bollards have been placed on CAT. You can see rebar on pallets on the right.

After Project 1, Tommy Fisher did say at either the Wall-A-Thon or Wall Symposium that they learn things from Project 1 w/ regard to the rebar placement that they would change in the future. (paraphrasing) So maybe they changed the way they did things toward the end of Project 1.

          Thanks again Stillwater,

We got good information on Project #1. We got less on Project #2, but since they have been on govt money, they have gone totally under cover and I doubt we will get a clear picture of what is going on unless some environmental group sends up a drone and spies on them.

I was surprised to see them lining up all the Cats with their hangers, and doing one continuous pour for the lot. It would definitely not be optimal for speed, but they were on a learning curve on Project #1, so who knows what they are doing now, especially on much longer runs where the crews have learnt to make the process flow more smoothly.

Here is a photo from one of my wall posts in May. I enlarged to show the CATs split up in two groups. The group on the right has 8 CATs and the group on the left has 2 or 3 CATs. The photo is blurry from a distance so it was hard to tell with the left group.

One thing I’ve always wondered if Fisher splits up the CATs into different groups, when they finally meet, how will they get the spacing exactly right between the two sections. The CATs might have GPS for positioning that kind of precise position would require something elso. Maybe preplace rebar in the trench is marked every 8 foot panel width or 1 CAT section (4 panels… 32 feet) width.

            • aussiedicko says:

Yeah, they were great photos. Our first indication that their 30 mile section was underway. That loading frame must be to do with speeding up the loading process. Also it may have simplified attaching the reo bar to the bottom of the bollards.

As for starting at different sites. They may just measure out 8′ sections to know where to place each section, But they can construct a stand of bollard with less tubes to make up any odd spacing.

I positive reason they are only picking up 4, 8′ sections instead of 5, as they first stated. They may possibly be filling each bollard with more concrete to higher than 3′ above ground and hence heavier than first anticipated. As there are reports of people cutting through the steel, it would be logical to fill to a minimum of 6′ above ground, to make it more difficult to cut through. The original 3′, I am sure was to stop ramming by trucks, but does nothing to stop anyone standing with hand tools cutting their way through simple hollow steel tubing.

I do think it is ironic, the best information we are getting of their progress, is from environmental groups, who oppose the construction.

I think you might be right about Fisher filling concrete in the bollards ahead of time.

At Project 1, I believe Fisher had 10 feet of concrete in the lower part of the 25 foot bollards(7 ft. below + 18 ft. above ground). So the 7 feet of bollard in the ground plus 3 feet of bollard above ground (10 feet total) was filled with concrete. But I think Fisher filled the lower part of the bollards with concrete after it was placed.

I remember Foreman Mike stating at Project 1 that they only put 4 panels per CAT on the mountain due to weight issues and safety on the slope. Now with the 30 ft (above ground) panels there is the weight issue which you have mentioned, but you also will be working in the mountains on a narrower road so maybe they needed to reduce the width to maneuver better.

Also, operators may find it easier to see and place a narrower section of panels in relation to the other pre-placed panels. Also the CATs, since Project 1, now have additional hydraulics on the hanger to fine tune placement which may have their own limitations to the amount of weight they can smoothly manipulate with the smaller hanger hydraulics. Just a guess…

I was thinking the same thing about some of our best information coming from environmental groups who are opposed to the wall. Most of my wall content this year, since the completion of Project 1 and subsequent China virus, has not been from WBTW or Fisher.

I look at it this way. With Fisher’s government wall, they can get the most work done when there is no spotlight on them. But if there is a leak and the left uses the leak to write a hit piece, I feel free to use the same info to bring the positive side and supply info to those of us who are always looking for current news on the wall progress.

Regarding the private walls, and especially considering the court cases, Fisher, and especially WBTW and National Butterflies will always put their best foot forward when reporting on the wall to back up their own side. And sometimes each side omits certain things.

So I try to take all the info and come up with an accurate assessment as I can(given my limited outside knowledge). This also helps with knowing the specific things to pray for.

I just want to point out that project 2 received a lot of grief from The Butterfly people next door. In fact some relatives of mine also brought up the Butterfly refuge as a reason to not build the wall. This sit has a lot of info about butterflies and the average life span of a butterfly/moth is a month.

        Hi Annie,

I believe the butterfly habitat issue is a legitimate concern as well. But I don’t trust the National Butterfly people next door. They ally with “resist” people. Even a prominent plant guy in the area noted this. It’s pretty hard to work with groups to come up with solutions to both border security and butterfly habitat when these environmentalist groups are antiwall/open borders people by default and only try to muddy the issues and stall the process.

I was hoping Fisher would be able to come up with some sort of solution having butterfly habitat as well as the wall but right now the main focus in their court cases and establishing the landscape to prevent erosion.

Project 1 is the prototype or “proof of concept”. Hopefully Fisher will be able to work out all erosion and legal court issues and eventually incorporate butterfly habitat in their current and future walls along the Rio Grande.

One thing you might like to ask your relatives is how would they address both the maintenance of butterfly habitat as well as address the drug and human/sex trafficking that goes through the Rio Grande sector. That area is the worst area along the whole border. It’s very sobering when we look at total of all the lives ruined or lost as a result of what comes across the border and the destructive influence on our nation as a whole.

So maybe there is a solution that addresses both issues but I will place priority on human life.

Btw, I actually love reading up on topics about creating natural habitat as well as erosion prevention and water management, etc..

I’ve never understood how ballot harvesting differs in any appreciable way from the campaign workers who, back in the day, would suddenly discover, shortly after an election, usually late at night, forgotten ballot boxes conveniently stuffed with DementoRat votes, in the trunk of a car?

This is a serious question – can anyone explain the difference? I am truly puzzled!

Wrote my State’s representative, told them I expect lawsuits to be filed by Monday morning to stop this! To let a Governor call a Special Session and then push through a complete re-write of the State’s election system in one day! No notice to the public, no real opportunity for debate; it’s not how this is supposed to work.

He also managed to shove through a tax scheme that had just been voted against in the just ended “first” special session; so this Governor has taken a unique ability, to call Special Sessions, which have been rare as the legislature is only supposed to meet for 6 weeks every other year, to push through things they couldn’t get passed in the regular session.

It completely turns upside down the entire structure. This pandemic has unleashed dictators and tyrants.

If there are no lawsuits filed to stop this, I blame Romney’s niece and a very compliant GOPe.

I recommend everyone listen to this entire address:

President Ronald W. Reagan, PhD (hon) 😉address to the graduating class of 1987 at Tuskegee University – May 10, 1987, just wow!!

I wonder what President Reagan and the University President would say if you arrived that day from the future and showed them everything happening at the hands of the Democrats today?

I can not believe only one like. This speech is brilliant, heartfelt and important to every American then and now.

I’m proud to have voted for Ronald Reagan. He is an exemplar of the best of America.

May the Lord bless and keep him.

“ Within the covers of the Bible are the answers for all the problems men face.

        A2, yes!

I watched the entire thing with amazement at how we can even be in this alternative universe. I guess that’s what you get when you push out degrees across American colleges that’s only “real world” use is to teach college classes so others can get the same degree that will enable them to teach the same subject. A circular, self-fulling indoctrination that provides no economic benefit other than saddle those who chose poorly with $10,000’s, if not $100,000’s, of school loan debt.

The only possible Biden running mate I’ve heard of who wouldn’t be a net negative is Val Demings of Florida. At least she’s a married heterosexual women and mother who ran a police department. She’s too normal for the people who feed Biden’s words to him, so she has no chance.

    • moondrops says:

Val Demings was chief of police in Orlando when the Pulse nightclub shooting happened. The police weren’t allowed to go in.
Val’s guns were stolen from her police car.
Additional qualifications include starting a Charm Club in high school with her friend. She was the vice president of the club. Club membership was two.

Measured by his contributions to economics, political theory, and intellectual history, Thomas Sowell ranks among the towering intellects of our time. Yet, rare among such thinkers, Sowell manages never to provoke, in the reader, the feeling of being towered over. As Kevin Williamson observed, Sowell is “that rarest of things among serious academics: plainspoken.” From 1991 until 2016, his nationally syndicated column set the bar for clear writing, though the topics he covered were often complex. “Too many academics write as if plain English is beneath their dignity,” Sowell once said, “and some seem to regard logic as an unconstitutional infringement of their freedom of speech.” If academics birth needlessly complex prose, editors too often midwife it. An editor, Sowell once quipped, would probably have changed Shakespeare’s “To be or not to be, that is the question” to something awful, like “The issue is one of existence versus non-existence.”

Picking a Vice Presidential candidate for the Democrats, it’s even harder and taking a Presidential candidate. There are no serious Democrats. You have the rapidly aging Clintonite crooksters, and you have the young radical-socialists, and nothing in between. And not one single intelligent and thoughtful human with some actual leadership skills in the entire party. May I suggest a campaign slogan for the Democrats? We are proof that timeouts didn’t work. For the sake of us all, spank your children.

Bass-OUT because of the Scientology video

      Hillary -outbecause of Epstein revelations

Rice-maybe in because she will coverup for Obama if they win
Will the Durham report implicate Rice? Biden does not know! Will he take the chance? I think Harris is still the most likely.

Harris- That coverup in California plus the fact that her grandfather was a slave owner

I want @KamalaHarris picked as VP b/c I want a spotlight onto a company called @Lennar, a real estate scam that stole nearly $1 Billion from California pensioners in CalPers funds, how Harris helped cover it up, and how her allies continue the cover-up. But, Rice may be nominee.

Since Joe can’t debate Trump, I think Obama should… It would be great. After all, Biden is running for Obama 3rd term. Every network would carry it. Trump would destroy him for the entire world to see.
