I have a feeling soon we’ll find out that Ginsburg has gallbladder cancer. Her bile duct stent got clogged up and they had to clean it out. That stent was put in place last August, now it’s clogged already. Her gallbladder must be a mess. She’s already had lung, pancreas, and colon cancer. I wouldn’t be surprised if she now has gallbladder cancer. This after they declared her “cancer free” in January. (smh)

She needs to give it up.

A Simple Step to Help Keep You Safe: Walmart and Sam’s Club Require Shoppers to Wear Face Coverings.
Just noticed this on a headline and verified on the Walmart.com company info. All Walmart’s and Sams across the nation will require masks starting the 20th.

Isn’t it amazing that if this is so critical and people are falling over dead, etc, that they can wait 6 more days.

Walmart where I live started this crap last Thursday.
They set up an awning before the corralled entrance (which they took down a month ago, back up now) and someone tells you, “you have to wear a mask. If you don’t have one, you can PURCHASE one inside.”
“Buy one? I’ll wear my own!” I whipped out my TRUMP 2020 MAGA mask I received as a gift from Make America Great Again Committee & put it on as I grumbled. I’m supposed to get another one of those masks because I got the offer twice! My 16yr old son has already got dibbs on it. 😆
I gotta say, the “mask” is very comfortable & breathing is easy in it. It’s more like a cover than a tight mask. So bravo!
Oh, and the masks you “can buy’ at walmart are around $18 for a box of 25. Didn’t see any mask by itself for sale…what will poor people do? I have to buy food or gas with that $18 They should just give you a damn mask if it’s required to enter!

I posted this a few minutes ago as a reply to Covfefe loves….. but thought it might be better to post as an original. If the mod will agree.

The key is having transparency in the data. It is fine to include COVID related or involved or present as long as you are clear about the actual cause. You can then speak intelligently about true COVID deaths.

The standard U.S. Death certificate item 32 Part 1 has 4 lines (a-d) for reporting conditions in the CAUSE of Death. The immediate cause goes on line a. Other conditions, if any, leading to the cause listed on line a can be entered on lines b-d. The instructions inform the coroner, etc. to sequentially list conditions, if any, leading to the cause on line a in b, c and d, with the underlying cause (disease or injury that initiated the events resulting in death) listed last. Additionally, there is Part II that allows the person completing the certificate to “Enter other significant conditions contributing to death but not resulting in the underlying condition given in PART 1.”

COVID (whether confirmed in a lab test or not per CDC instructions) can be listed in either one of the lines in Part 1 or in Part 2. Even if COVID is not the immediate or underlying cause, they will be reported as COVID related or involved.

I am asking my Bureau of Vital Statistics for detailed data regarding this. These are the questions that need to be asked.

    1. How many COVID related/involved deaths have occurred in the state?

    2. How many deaths being reported as COVID related/involved had COVID indicated on PART 1 line a of the death certificate? Line b? Line c? Line d?

    4. How many deaths being reported as COVID related had the COVID reference in PART 2?

    5. Does the Bureau of Vital Statistics death files include a data element to indicate whether a COVID viral test was taken and the results? If so, how many of these COVID related deaths were tested and what were the results?

    6. Is it possible to obtain or download a data set of the state’s death file for analysis?

Info dense and very rich — CA-F’s standard operating procedure — and inspiring many, many questions about the future of our America at the whim of The Globalists.

We know, but an awful lot of people who still believe everything the MSM is shoveling into their brains — do NOT know.

And this is the dilemma, and this is what Democrat Governors are counting on as they continue to turn the screws tighter.

The Honorable Governor Tom Wolf issued his latest decree for Pennsylvania today:

Governor Wolf is a sly one. He quietly goes about his destruction. He’s also invincible, and he knows it.

In Pennsylvania, the restaurant industry — and all the companies which support & supply that industry — are set for destruction.

25% of capacity for a restaurant is a kill-shot. They cannot survive this!

A more pressing matter than the complaints raised by the black people on that college board is what they need to do about their own community.

Watch the video. Stare in disbelief. Read the comments, all of them.

This is not something that can be blamed on anybody else.

They have to fix this themselves. I’d be accused of racism for even pointing out all of the things that are wrong in that thread if I did it either at that college board or in that community.

The complaints of the college board can’t be fixed until they fix this.

    Subject: To your point..

From XXx – about that projected 300 deaths out of a school age population of 189,000?

While I appreciate the move towards a statistical analysis, this seems too high a projection.

Since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic to date in the US (2/1/2020 – 7/15/2020) only twenty-six (26) kids under the age of 15 have died of covid-19. (according to CDC – see below)

I believe that all of these had serious co-morbidities (leukemia, MS, etc.) which prevented their normally robust immune systems from fighting off the disease.

Of course, if schools were to reopen, these kids would have to be protected, which might further reduce any projected deaths amongst school age children while back in school.

Still, if you just use the CDC numbers for deaths and infection rates amongst school age children, you would get the following projection for the XXXXX School Age Population XXXX mentioned:

number of kids x juvenile infection rate x death rate = projected deaths

    189,000 x 2.00% x (26/130,000) = projected 0.75 deaths

So I think that your position, if you thought out of a school population of 189,000 only maybe one kid would die if we took no protective measures for the otherwise sick (co-morbid), would be go ahead. And is well defended.

Considering the damage wrought otherwise (suicides, depression, social retardation, educational setbacks, etc. – which have far higher risk).

Regards, and feel free to share,

PS: Here are two good (sciency) articles from known sources about kids and covid:

And New England Journal of Medicine (this is a summary article, full text included below):

Key takeaway in case you don’t read whole thing – [Children under 10 are less likely to get infected than adults and if they get infected, they are less likely to get seriously ill. What is interesting is that even if children do get infected, they are less likely to transmit the disease to others than adults. We have not found a single instance of a child infecting parents.]!!!

    Sources for calculation:

Number of kids at risk = 189,000 (XXXXXXXXXXXXX)
Juvenile Infection Rate = 2.00% (CDC first article below)
Deaths under 15 over total deaths = 26/130,000) (CDC second article below)

(write up of first CDC article making it readable https://arstechnica.com/science/2020/04/cdc-reports-data-on-2500-covid-19-cases-in-kids-including-3-deaths/)

Full research paper from NEJM (New England Journal of Medicine) talking about kids and Covid-19 in Iceland. This is a really good read because they have the fullest data set there and the best tracking because of the small population. The lead scientist on the paper is the interviewee in the Science Museum article above.

    Just a random plea:

My branchlet is small and obscure.

I realize there are some extraordinary powerful megaphones wielded by some who rest amongst these branches.

May I ask of you fellow Treepers to use any sort of megaphone you may have to shout this message louder and clearer than myself?

Thank you all for listening, the battle continues.

Retired Magistrate here: Well, our Ohio Governor, DeWine, is giving a fear porn speech. Because of Ohio’s increased cases and 1,000 in the hospital with covid-19, everyone should wear a mask or the implied threat is that Ohio will shut down again! If you listen to DeWine, if you get it you are going to die or end up in the hospital. I had to convince my 87 year old neighbor, who listens to FOX, that most people who get covid-19 do not die. She was convinced that everyone that got it would die. Told her that since she is 87 (but in great health) that she should be careful.

Ohio is just back up and running; water parks are open, restaurants, hair salons, day care, etc. and our unemployment rate is down to 12%; it was 17%. DeWine is assuring everyone that if we just wear a mask the virus will go away; no it will not. Unless you wear an N-95 mask, the masks most people are wearing don’t do anything, except contain a sneeze. He also stated that it is settled science that masks prevent the spread; no, it is not settled science.

So if Ohio shuts down again, we put more people out of business. Sooner or later things will have to open back up again or Ohio’s economy will be toast. Of course the virus will still be there waiting; we are going to have to learn how to live with it. In all my 72 years I have never seen anything like this. Went through the polio epidemic and various flu epidemics and everybody went about their business. You either got sick and recovered or you didn’t. All this is doing is scaring people so much that people are afraid to live their lives. Now people are being admitted to the hospital with “sick heart syndrome” which is just another name for anxiety attack caused by all the misinformation about covid-19.

Oh, as an aside went to a garden shop today which I usually go to and the sign said “masks required”, this was new; wasn’t that way a week before. So, I went in without a mask and if anyone asked I would use the medical exemption. No one asked, so I made my purchase and left. A small victory in an otherwise nutty world.

Saw a sign on a store that said if you don’t wear a mask and have medical condition, you can order online and only pick up your purchase curbside. I think I am going to scream!

Marcia, suffered through that myself. 30 minutes to make a threat to mask up or suffer another lock down.
We live in as very seasonal area of northern, the local/family businesses will most likely not survive another lockdown
I loved how he kept referring to the Florida data. Which, has now been documented to be 10 fold if not more worse then actual. Of course you will not see a retraction on that data.

From the 1851 Center for Constitutional Law, a Conservative non-profit group of lawyers who have won several lawsuits against Dictator DeWine:

          July 10, 2020

Yes, the Governor’s Selective Mask Mandate is Unconstitutional (in several ways). Here’s what you need to know:

The Director of the Ohio Department of Health cannot criminalize otherwise-lawful conduct, especially irrespective of intent. Nor may it do so in a non-uniform manner. After our victory in State v. Brearley, no person has been successfully prosecuted for violating a health director’s order in 134 years.
Practically nobody is forced to wear a mask: there are 13 exceptions, which, cumulatively, are broad enough to exempt anyone at anytime and anyplace. Bottom line: if you don’t want to wear a mask, you don’t have to. And if you’re wearing a mask, it’s because you’re choosing to do so.
The Order contains no enforcement mechanisms: it designates no state or local agency to enforce the order. And this failure to designate local enforcement agencies intentional: the Governor wants all lawsuits to be filed against ODH alone and thus venued in Franklin County, where he is certain to win.
Because everyone is exempt and there is no enforcement mechanism, lawsuits against this mandate will fail if you do not have a written warning, threat, or citation from a local governmental authority.
Lawsuits against this mandate will also fail if you attempt them in counties with unfit judicial systems, such as Cuyahoga, Lorain, Franklin, Montgomery, or Hamilton.
To challenge the mandate, email us at Info@OhioConstitution.org ONLY if you are in a regulated county not listed above and are able to attach a written warning, threat, or citation.
In the interim, you’re entitled to disobey these orders, and we will defend those who are prosecuted.

“…A surge in new reported cases is only happening because Ohio has quadrupled its daily tests over the past several months. We aren’t seeing an increase in the actual percentage of positive tests. To say that these new cases are the result of a surge, is simply fake news.

The Surge in the Positive Rate Fallacy

Under this fallacy, the DeWine administration and their liberal media allies are arguing that the percentage of positive cases are going up. An article first written and posted on July 6, 2020 helps explain how this works. According to the Columbus Dispatch, “the infection rate actually is going up, to more than 6% during the recent spike in coronavirus cases.”

This is also fake news. The most recent data buried in Ohio’s COVID19 website shows a positive daily test rate percentage of 5% as of July 6, 2020. The highest daily percentage positive rate was 37% reported on April 19, 2020. We also saw a positive percentage spike of 18% on April 1, 2020. The lowest daily percentage positive rate was 3% reported on June 8, 2020.

By May 7, 2020 the once higher positive percentage rate had dropped to 9% and it has hovered in the range of 4 to 6% throughout most of May, June, and July. Overall, as of July 8, 2020 Ohio has completed a whopping 896,485 tests and found 58,904 positive cases. That is an overall total positive rate of 6.5% according to data from the The COVID Tracking Project.

            The Multiple Positive Counting Fallacy

According to Investigative Journalist Jack Windsor, people that test positive multiple times count as separate, individual cases. In other words, if I test positive in four different tests on four different days, that counts as four cases, not just as one person that’s tested positive. How many sick people in Ohio are testing positive again and again for COVID19? We don’t know and the DeWine administration isn’t telling….”

My wife is a teacher, intervention specialist, actually with over 15 years in education. She has been actively seeking other employment due the social / family decay and the results she has to deal with.
Between the teach at home and lack of disciplinary support of the admin, along withthe mask “requirement “, she is over the edge

Fellow teacher here: this will be my last year, after 48 years (55 years if you count my apprenticeship as a Catholic Religion teacher.) Everything after March 13th was so frustrating and worthless: I understand your wife’s despair too well, and I have taught most of my career in Catholic schools. They still beat public ones, but the nonsense has been leaking into them as well (Climate change, tippy-toeing around helicopter parents, politically correct bureaucrats etc.)

CONGRATULATIONS. You deserve your retirement and much more for teaching in a non-public school.
We are both products of Catholic schools, and for me it may made all the difference in the world, especially later in life when I “grew up”.
Our son went to Catholic school until this past year, unfortunately, the Parish school only went to 5th grade.
I sat on the school board for 5 years. It is different then when I was a kid.
The school always needed volunteers, and it was always the same families stepping up.
I suggested service hours for all families especially those on assistance. They looked at me like I had a horn between my eyes.
Understand. I was the youngest of 7 raised by a single mother…..I was one of those kids. Didn’t hurt us, it taught us to reciprocate.
Thank you for your efforts. Believe it or not you made a difference

It’s so obvious they are extorting us into taking the vaccine when it is ready to administer. The game plan is the masks, social distancing, opened schools, sports, etc can’t change until everyone is vaccinated. Only the vaccine can return us to normal. Get ready for it. Biden may even try to enact a law if elected. It’s all about the billions and billions to be earned on the vaccine.

The question is: do we decide to fight our elected officials now or when they have the needle loaded pointed to our arm?

I honestly think, at this point, you need to pick which sword you want to die on. I live in Dublin, OH (Columbus suburb) and we have a mandatory mask order in public now. For a 20 minute trip thru Kroger I will wear the mask and be done with it. I know I am still gonna vote for President Trump in November, and will make the effort to educate others to do so as well. The mask issue isn’t going away, and it is now a political talking point. I think it’s time to focus on the important topics, and not the scrap of fabric on our faces- it’s the left’s way of detracting from what everyone is really concerned about. We have 4 months until the election, and seriously, masks are the least of our worries.

Just re-watched Garden of Evil, a great Western from the 1950’s with Gary Cooper and RIchard Widmark and a great score by composer Bernard Herrmann.

Toward the end, pursued by angry Apaches, the Richard Widmark character named Fiske stays at a narrow mountain pass to hold off the Apaches, allowing two people to escape. Fiske of course is doomed.

The Gary Cooper character is asked by the woman he is rescuing why Fiske stayed behind. He responds:

Somebody always stays. All over the world, somebody gets it done.

Every RINO needs to watch this movie and take it to heart! President Trump could have left public life for a Florida retirement. But no, he stayed behind because “all over the world, somebody gets it done.”

Asheville no direct payments which I’m sure they would have preferred. The resolution, which passed 7-0, does not include cash payments made directly to black residents but does call on the city to form the Community Reparations Commission, which would hear from community leaders and groups who would, in turn, make recommendations on where funds should be directed.
