      • JVW: “On the morning of the sweltering hot summer day of June 28, the order was dispatched to Lee’s army, camped in Englishtown about four miles away from Clinton’s troops, to move southeast and attack, while Washington made plans to move his larger army towards Monmouth for support. But Lee, who was opposed to shadowing Clinton’s army from the beginning and who by and large felt that his Commander-in-Chief was incompetent, complained of conflicting intelligence reports and refused to engage the enemy, choosing instead to fallback in the direction of Washington’s advancing army once the British began aiming cannon-fire in his direction. Confused as to why he was not hearing the sound of troop skirmishes ahead, General Washington became furious when he began to cross paths with retreating men under Lee’s command. Encountering Lee and his staff a short time later, Washington lit into his subordinate with language that few before had ever heard from the great man’s lips. At the same moment Lieutenant General Charles Cornwallis, sensing the disorganization and confusion among the rebel enemy, had ordered the rear-guard troops under his command to attack the fleeing Continentals. After dressing down Lee, Washington had precious few moments to rally the dispirited troops, exhausted after marching on a day when the temperature reached one hundred degrees. He ordered Lee to remain in that location and form his men in a defensive position, then rode into the fray to rally his troops to repel the attack. As Alexander Hamilton would later write of his mentor, “His coolness and firmness were admirable. He instantly took measures for checking the enemy’s advance, and giving time for the Army, which was very near, to form and make proper disposition.” During this key moment it was later reported that Washington rode within thirty yards of the British troops, calmly giving orders as bullets and artillery flew all about him. Due to the exertion and the stifling heat, Washington would have his horse fall over dead as he rode about the lines. In a chaotic environment, George Washington’s bravery and fortitude had delivered his men a military draw but a psychological victory, continuing the momentum that had begun at Saratoga the previous summer. At the same time he managed to rid himself of a rival — Charles Lee was soon to be court-martialed — who had been undermining the Commander-in-Chief since the start of the war. Washington had, in the words of the Marquise de Lafayette, “arrest[ed] fortune with but one glance.” Hamilton would later declare, “I never saw the General to such advantage.” Writing to his brother John Augustine Washington on the second anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the Great Man described the previous week’s battle as “a glorious and happy day.””…….

Richard Brookhiser’s Founding Father: “Appearing on the field, [Washington] asked Lee the cause of “all of this disorder and confusion.” Lee stammered; then, according to one account, Washington swore “till the leaves shook on the trees. Charming! Delightful! Never have I enjoyed such swearing before or since. Sir, on that memorable day, he swore like an angel from Heaven.””

And then he walked to church.

***Today’s WeBuildTheWall / Fisher Industries posts***
    (Previous posts: https://theconservativetreehouse.com/2020/06/03/june-3rd-2020-presidential-politics-trump-administration-day-1231/comment-page-2/#comment-8294963)

Note: Most of the WBTW related social media accounts are covering coronavirus, politics, or illegal alien crimes. We will probably be in a quiet period regarding wall content until the next project(s) are near completion.
The praises (much of which are older news) have been provided for those who wish to give thanks for them before praying for the wall prayer requests. I may add to, trim back, or simplify from time to time as projects/events progress or come to completion. If there is any new wall news I’ll list them in the update below. Otherwise, feel free to page down or scroll past.
    – – – – –
    Wednesday night update – 6/3/20

    – Just posting the prayer post today.

    – – – – –
***Praise: 🧱 (Project 1: May/June 2019)… WBTW/Fisher Industries was able to build a half mile wall up the side of a mountain in 11 days (with zero safety incidents), cutting off 19 major drug cartel trails, and closing off one of the worst areas along the border… (Sunland Park, NM)
***Praise: 👍 (11/20/19)… DHS Secretary Chad Wolf & CBP Chief gave a huge endorsement to WeBuildTheWall while visiting Project 1. CBP Chief called it a “Game Changer”. It’s the only time CBP or DHS have ever endorsed a wall builder.
***PRAISE: 🧱 (12/2/19)… Fisher Sand & Gravel was awarded a $400M border wall contract to build 31 miles of wall in the Cabeza Prieta National Wildlife Refuge in Yuma County, Arizona.
Fisher receives $268M; another $132M could be added if all options in contract are exercised, totalling $400M… or $8.6 to $13M per mile)(Estimated contract completion date is Dec 30, 2020.
Project: Yuma (Wellton Station) Border Wall System

***Praise: (12/4/19)… Brian Kolfage & his family were given the opportunity to visit the White House.
***Praise: While the Temporary Restraining Order(s) were in place, Fisher Industries and crews were still able to keep working on some aspects of Project 2 from the Dec. 5th hearing to Dec 12th (after which they were off for the holidays).
***Praise: (Jan 3)… Judge Crane lifted/removed section 8b from the TRO so that Fisher was able to continue to “shave, grade, or cut the riverbank.”
***Praise: (Jan 9)… Judge Crane lifted/removed the TROs from both the Federal government’s lawsuit (on behalf of the IBWC) and the North American Butterfly Association’s lawsuit (on behalf of Marianna Trevino-Wright’s National Butterfly Center) against Fisher Sand and Gravel Co.
***Praise: 🧱 (Project 2 complete: Feb 17)… Fisher Industries was able to build 3.5 miles of wall along the Rio Grande River in Mission, Texas. Project 2’s “water wall” design is the first border wall that’s ever been built inside the flood plain.

***Praise: 🔍 (Reported on 12/18/19)… Senator Kevin Cramer was able to complete his in-depth review of the USACE’s procurement process and send a letter with his findings and recommendations to President Trump on 12/6/19.
***PRAISE: 🧱 (5/6/20)… Fisher Sand & Gravel was awarded a $1.28B border wall contract to build 42 miles of wall in southern Arizona, most of which will run from Nogales to the eastern boundary of the Tohono O’odham Nation. It’s the largest border wall contract that’s ever been awarded. The project includes seven (or 8?) segments and will be painted black.
Project: Tucson Package 3, (Complex terrain, which includes rugged mountains and water crossings)

🙏 Prayer for the work crews. 🙏
Heavenly Father, we pray in Jesus’ name:
    – for safety and health for the work crews and their families while they stay home during the temporary work shutdown; for safety and good weather for the work crews when they start up work again on Project 3, 4, 5… as well as the Federal 7.6M/800 foot, the 400M/31 mile, and the 1.28B/42 mile contracts for wall in Arizona; that they would be able to continue uninterrupted until completion.

    – that the DoD IG’s office audit of the $400 million border wall contract which the USACE awarded Fisher Sand & Gravel would show everything is fair and above board; that the swamp in DoD and USACE wouldn’t be able to corrupt the process; & that Fisher would be authorized to proceed with the project as planned. (Backstory/timeline)
***Praise: (4/15/19)… Fisher Industries has been awarded a 7.6M contract modification to build 800 linear feet of 30-foot bollard barrier while the original 400M contract is still under review by the DoD IG’s office. My guess is this will give further evidence to the IG that Fisher Industries was justified in receiving the original 400M contract. (Details)
(Update: Fisher has built well beyond the initial 800 feet.)
***Praise:… Looks like work has already begun on this 31 mile project, despite the ongoing audit. Photos showing well over 800 feet of wall, started appearing around the end of April. No official word yet though.

    – for WBTW/Fisher Industries regarding the ongoing lawsuits; that both sides would be able to resolve any issues and the lawsuits would be dismissed.
(May 6)… Positive developments in today’s hearing.
“Warner and Courtois sounded cautiously optimistic that engineers could work out any remaining problems.”
“In the meantime, the IBWC and Fisher Industries will review the hydraulic analysis.”
“Engineers with the United States section of the IBWC also sent hydraulic models to their counterparts in Mexico, who may offer comments or objections.”
“Attorney Javier Peña, who represents the butterfly association, said his client wanted to independently review the hydraulic model.”
“U.S. District Judge Randy Crane agreed to schedule a status conference in 60 days.”

    – that WBTW would be able to find corporate sponsors for Project 3. (They already have a major construction equipment manufacturer and are looking for a solar LED security lighting manufacturer or supplier.)
    – that Rep. Warren Petersen’s (R-AZ) bill, HB 2084, making it easier to build border wall on private property in Arizona would get passed.
***Praise: (Feb 6)… The bill passed AZ house on reconsideration with 31-29 party line vote. Next, it goes to the Senate.

    – for the bi-national summit with the Mexican IBWC and American politicians that WBTW will be hosting; for open lines of communication/understanding; and that WBTW/Fisher Industries would learn what they need to know to facilitate the sign off and approval of their projects by the Mexican IBWC.

    – for 100% safety/health/guidance/direction/salvation(through faith in Christ Jesus) for the work crews, security personnel, legal teams, CBP, DHS, Army, National Guard and all involved in Project’s 2, 3, 4, 5 and other private or federal projects; and for WBTW/Fisher Industries as they work with private landowners to secure more property to build on
    – that work would go smoothly with continual, innovative improvements in method/process/efficiency and quality of construction; and with transitioning as they scale up capacity(manpower, equipment, etc.) to build larger projects
    – that there would be no outside interference (cartels, IBWC, courts/judges, protesters, swamp, etc.) and that if outside interference takes place that it would only work toward WBTW/Fisher Industries/USA’s benefit (exposing corruption, raising awareness, fundraising, etc.)

    – that Project 2’s wall will prove that the design is sound and that WBTW/Fisher Industries are capable of safely and effectively building it on a large scale in the Rio Grande Valley, with a superior build, at the lowest price
    – that the federal government would provide funding for WBTW/Fisher Industries to build 250+ miles of wall on Private Property in Texas
    – that the Government would purchase all of WBTW/Fisher Industries projects so the funds can be rolled into future projects and Fisher Industries will be able to scale up with additional equipment and manpower as needed.

🌟 “The more that a broken system tells you that you’re wrong, the more certain you must be that you must keep pushing ahead. Because it’s the outsiders who change the world and will make a real and lasting difference. Nothing worth doing ever came easy. Treat the word impossible as nothing more than motivation.” ~ President Donald J. Trump 🌟

So they went ahead and took it down?

This is so very sad. Being raised in Richmond, Virginia I loved when we went down Monument Avenue, looking at the statues, learning the history of who these men were and why they fought.

For me these statues became lasting reminders that even after a civil war conflict the nation could find a way to come together but acceptance and even encouraging those of the ‘losing side’ to still honor the ideals of State’s rights these Southern men originally fought for even while accepting their defeat in war.

        It’s ironic that we now have a President in office who not only honors that original heritage ideal of State’s rights by seeing to it that it is the various State’s Governors and Mayors that take the lead responsibility for their State’s needs in a national pandemic situation;

        and what do we see?

A perversion by various State Governors and Mayoral office holders enacting the very thing the original Southern armies fought for [to keep State’s rights and responsibilities in State’s hands] are now expecting the federal government to bail them out while simultaneously they become the totalitarian dictators the Southern States feared.

It’s like an upside down world we’re living in.

        Sad day indeed.

I have heard (believably) that some of the molotov cocktails contain white phosphorus. Would not these be considered wmd? White phosphorus is hard to acquire, and tricky to handle, so perhaps it is being created in a lab from a phosphorus compound. If investigators put ultraviolet light on the spot where a molotov cocktail struck, any residue should glow if it contained phosphorus.

The US military should never be deployed on US soil unless we are attacked by a foreign power.

The National Guard May be deployed on domestic soil subject to legal restraints.

These organised, co-ordinated operations we’re seeing, operating under the cover of riots,…are getting close to insurrection.

Particulary when Mayors and Govenors are refusing to use the National guard, to reestablish and maintain order.

But I agree with you and PDJT, that they haven’t reached that point,….yet.

Better to put the responsibilty right where it belongs, and then (for instance) sit back and watch diblasio and cuomo fight.

But then, I don’t have a small business being sacked, and I’m in no danger of getting hit with a 2×4, trying to protect my business….

But if political leaders are co-ordinating and directing Antifa, turning on riots when they see it as politically beneficial to them, and hurtful to the POTUS, and off when its served its purpose or the optics change,…well thats getting PRETTY CLOSE to a civil war.

Just,as legally the coup avoided sedition or treason, even though it was, I do think the Enemies of PDJT are currently engaging in a civil war,…without technically or openly declaring it as such.

Floyd has nothing to do with this. He was the victim, try to remember that. The demoncraps are exploiting his death. Insult them, not the victim, that you know nothing about.

Yes, “when he died”. He died because he could not breath. He was suffocated.

You believe he died from fentanyl as he was being choked out. OK. I believe you know better, but can’t bring yourself to the truth out of hate…o r some other ugly impulse.

You are the one displaying hate. And the officer didn’t stuff fetanyl down his throat and per the medical examiner, he already had fentanyl intoxication which had to at least strongly contribute to his death. Fentanyl isn’t a health vitamin any more than grain alcohol is. I’m not about to regard Fetanyl Floyd as some kind of Mohammad who must not be disrespected just because the democrats have now found him to be a useful object of worship. . I’m not a dhimmi or other slave to them or you. Now goodbye.

We all know the poor man died of Covid, as a result of his refusal to follow social distancing guidelines!

Seriously, we owe the man a debt of gratitude, as he finally got Fauci out of the limelight, hopefully for good.

Frankly, if I never see his face, or hear Birxs grating blasey ford voice again,…

So, lets keep it respectful, hey?

Fentanyl IS a heroin analogue, and Heroin does cause respiratory depression. Thats not opinion, its medical fact. Beyond that, lets wait for the trial.

No one is disputing that fentanyl was in his system, nor do we dispute that it can lead to respiratory distress, But what also can’t be ignored is that officer Chauvin was asked multiple times by a fellow officer about rolling George Floyd over and Chauvin refused. He continued to do noting even after that same officer pointed out that the Floyd had no pulse, instead he kept his knee on the guys neck. Worse, after it was pointed out to him that he had no pulse, he looked down at Floyd and still kept the knee there. At a bare minimum that’s criminal negligence, which is manslaughter.

The knee restraint was not an approved Minneapolis PD maneuver and from all the video and pics I’ve seen, he did it wrong. He needed to have his knees further apart and his hand not in his pocket much of the time so that his weight was more evenly distributed, because with the way he was positioned his weight was on the knee that was holding Floyd down.

No one, on here anyway, is saying George Floyd was a saint but that doesn’t absolve the cop from contributing to his death either. Heck, even the medical examiner report you linked to ruled the death a homicide and directly linked the neck compression to it.

              • Padric, thank you for saying this. Many of these posters act as though anyone with a muddy past “was asking for it” when they die at someone else’s hands. This is right along the lines of saying that a woman in a sexy outfit deserved to be raped, a woman who is a prostitute deserved to be murdered, and a fentanyl user deserved to die in the custody of a cop. It is the whole “Blame the Victim” mentality. I really think that if they plowed through a crosswalk and killed someone who was drunk and who couldn’t get out of the way fast enough then it would be the drunk’s fault because they didn’t stay home and drink.

The past and present Generals and the Secretary of Defense that are criticizing the President are Democrats first and foremost and now is a good time for them to earn bonus points from the Dem party that they can cash in now or later. Personal gain and revenge are likely Mattis’ only motivations. He was also against PT’s last strategy against ISIS that ended that scourge quickly. Some of them seem to be basing their opinions on fake CNN and other MSM reports. Their criticisms also counter Sen. Cotton’s announcements.

Their irresponsible comments will embolden any group that wishes to rile up the mobs and overwhelm the police in any city or across the nation. They are refusing to protect overwhelmed police and citizens in neighborhoods that might be at the mercy of wandering mobs in the future. They don’t care for them because its the Dem party that pays out. The people must tolerate the mobs and their businesses being destroyed so the Generals can allegedly be rewarded by the Dems,

The sensationalist rag, the Daily Mail (and numerous other rags) have made all kinds of allegations about Trump wanting to bring in tanks, helicopters and so on as well as numerous lies about the Church visit etc.I suggest P Trump not fire anyone now but wait until after the next election if possible.

Liberal Lawyer: Dem Senator Pretty Much Made the Trump White House’s Case in Rosenstein Hearing
By Matt Vespa – Posted: Jun 03, 2020 2:30 PM

If there is one senator who is bound to say something stupid, it’s Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-HI). She’s from deep-blue Hawaii, so she could peddle lies and outright nonsense and not risk losing re-election. And then, there are these moments, where she obviously was confident that former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein was going to drop some bombshell about Trump possibly being guilty of obstruction of justice during the investigations into Russian collusion. Well, that didn’t happen.

Yes, from the comments: “ou won’t see that on the MSM because it is from November 6, 2014. And that police chief retired two years ago.”

But it is exactly the truth. And another truth is that primary school children are held back for the rest of their lives by schools that refuse to teach the basics of literacy and arithmetic. All the “Affirmative Action” programs in the world don’t help young adults who never learned to read fluently and who never mastered their multiplication tables, thanks to the people at the top of the University Education Departments who go along with this.

One of the “famous” “education experts” (a favorite of the education departments who published several inflammatory books — was it Jonathan Kozol?) wrote about how they had an effective reading program and the kids were doing well in their Bronx primary school, but they ditched that program! Because it wasn’t to their taste. They were sorry to see the kids’ reading scores drop, but they couldn’t use the program that worked. It was like hydroxychloroquine, or something. They have to do what doesn’t work!

D@@n these people who do not love our country and all the people in it. Well, it’s up to someone else to d@mn them, but for the love of God and Country, let’s stop giving authority to poisonous “experts”. Judge them by their deeds, not their tiresome words

    Biden Has No Good Options
By Kurt Schlichter – Posted: Jun 04, 2020 12:01 AM

This riot crisis will pass, and then it’s nothing but bad choices ahead for Badfinger Biden, not that he realizes it. He’s too far gone and far too busy watching his stories on the tee-vee to negotiate the crucial strategic decisions he faces if he wants to win. Even if not he has not already disembarked the short bus in Seniletown, he’s at least wandering aimlessly through its suburbs. The calls he has to make – about reacting to the failing Antifa/Democrat insurrection, about picking a veep, and about how to handle the only guy who seemed to grow younger, healthier and sharper in the Oval Office – would not be easy one for someone on the ball, much less someone giggling as he chases a ball around his backyard.

Everything posted on this is dodgy. Yeah Mattis came out. But his intemperate comments had to do with the confusion and the info that the US military would be deployed against US citizens on US soil. I agree with him, that is not on. Call up the National Guard, but the US military is not a civilian control force in their own country. Esper agrees.

There is much fake news, left and right. Gen. Mattis is not a ‘traitor’ he is reminding everyone that calling in the US military in this instance is breaking the Constitution.

He may have had failings but people forget he was a constant advocate for pushing back against PRC. That fell on deaf ears for awhile. He also warned about the Syria situation. He was ultimately vindicated, as after the splashy news about withdrawal, the President quietly rescinded .

If you just read left/right manipulative news, you get your talking points. Not facts. All disconnected in that airy fairy land of MSM and social media.

I saw another tweet by Rich Higgins stating that this video of the National Guard taking a knee is a staged video and they are not real soldiers. In the comments section, posters were pointing out they are wearing different helmets & patches. Click on the tweet and read some of the responses that point out discrepancies.
