As I indicated from an industry source three days ago here on CTH: FTA
“Farmers and food companies across the country are throttling back production as the virus creates chaos in the agricultural supply chain, erasing sales to restaurants, hotels and cafeterias despite grocery stores rushing to restock shelves. American producers stuck with vast quantities of food they cannot sell are dumping milk, throwing out chicken-hatching eggs and rendering pork bellies into lard instead of bacon….”

For many years I have always asked my friends and family — during the Cold War, when Soviet Commies had thousands of ICBM’s aimed at America, we did NOT buy much of Soviet Union Commie products or produce — maybe vodka and caviar only ?? We sold THEM wheat, I know, when their collective farms failed.

With China, which also has thousands of ICBM’s aimed at us, WTF have we been doing for 30 years pretending they were our friendly outsource go-to country???
With the biggest retailer in the world stocking their shelves with Chinese Commie Crap?
      And Americans gobbling it up??

Ever since Tiananmen Square massacre, I made Herculean efforts to avoid buying “Made in China”, and it was often VERY hard to find the small-font, purposely-hidden label.

FTA “Regardless of when Trump acts to reopen the country, the ruling class will do whatever is in their power to prevent him from exiting the path to political perdition which he has entered…Trump is eager to open the country. And he knows that the American people will hold him, not Fauci or anybody else, responsible for the pain that adherence to the ruling class’s estimates is causing and will cause us. Speculating why, nevertheless, Trump persists in lending legitimacy to these flawed professionals, indeed why he lets them speak in his name, is pointless….One thing is certain: That the ruling class savors the grip on us that it has achieved during the past three weeks—above all the presumption that we must quietly accept non-legal decrees from on high. It will not give up that grip without a fight…Regardless of when Trump acts to reopen the country, they will do whatever is in their power to prevent him from exiting the path to political perdition which he has entered. They won’t give him a pass out of it, no matter what. ”

Rush mentioned this article today. Codevilla is right President Trump has set his own trap. No matter when he opens up the country Fauci and Birx will object. The msm will then run to them separately with endless stories of how President Trump is getting us killed by opening too early etc. I believe President Trump realizes all this and can’t wait to see how he walks away once again unscathed! The Stay at Home Democommunists versus the Get Back to Work Patriots narrative has been developing this week. Another Trump achievement that the virus “crisis” has reversed is the reduction in persons on welfare. This will now increase and, even before this, the Democommunists wanted it to. The Democommunist elites have their money and jobs. They don’t care what happens to the middle class. It is noticeable that the MSM driven dempanic has filled the impressionable Democommunists with fear, way more than the Patriots are feeling.

As we have been seeing in the last few days the models are way off and by a lot! The main issue, the experts said, for shutting down the economy, restraining us in our homes, keeping us from dining out, from shopping at will, from sports arenas, shopping malls, from keeping our previously scheduled medical appointments, and so forth, was ALL to make at-hand medical supplies available along with medical personnel available for the treating of chinese virus victims. All this so as to “flatten the curve.” That is, to stay below our nation’s hospital operating capacity.

NY is showing that their curve has been flattened with the cases never having come close to overrunning the local hospital capacity. This is the case with all other major hot spots. So much so, that the marxist media had to import footage from Italy to intimate that were experiencing the same situation.

When the man we elected to save our republic and free market capitalism gets duped into undermining his promises and goals and, upon realizing he has inadvertently surrendered our culture and does not reverse course immediately we have no options left. Once the peak is over he can pivot to thanking the pandemic “experts”, shuffle them off the stage, and bring in the qualified public health experts who will show (with their own models) that the Suicide and Drug Abuse deaths from a continued shutdown will increase by 100% (120,000), whereas opening up, while still protecting the vulnerable, will (based on the Fauci/Birx model) only result in a few thousand more deaths statistically.

This is gonna come back against us again and again. The counter has to start by exposing the faux models and their proponents and schemers.

The models have to be picked apart and shown to have been another way to get at POTUS and his great economy before the chinese virus arrived.

      Liked by 1 person

    • Tl Howard says:

I like Rush as much as the next person here, but the half hour I heard of him this morning concerned me deeply, He sounded as crazed in his charges as Dems sound when they go after our POTUS.

We knew from the beginning….and so did POTUS, because WE WERE TOLD that the experts in epidemiology were handicapped in that we had incomplete and likely suspect data from two places–China and northern ITaly. The Chinese are our enemies and anything they tell us, therefore, is suspect, and Italy was too chaotic to help us much in what they provided. Plus, the outbreak in Italy happened in a small ski area where vacationers likely carried it from elsewhere or got it from those who had brought it there to Italy, then they scattered to the ends of the earth, where the rich go.

On top of it all, this virus was behaving differently, as ER doctors were reporting, from other coronaviruses.

Thus, Dr. Birx, kept telling the American pubic, we don’t have the data we’d like and we know any model is only as good as the data. If the data is incomplete, unreliable, we are at a huge disadvantage. All we know is this virus is highly contagious, MUCH MORE so than the usual flus, and that in many it attack the lungs.

I don’t CARE that Fauci and Birx know the Clintons and the Obamas. You think these people wanted to be responsible for killing Americans by pulling a DeBlasio and telling us to go on about our lives, don’t worry, just wash your hands a lot, but go ahead, go to sporting events, go to bars, theaters, shop as you normally would, work in your cubicles as you normally would?

You don’t believe that social distancing is exactly what has prevented tens of thousands of more deaths? And still could.

Actually, no, I don’t believe that social distancing and closing the economy prevented tens of thousands of deaths.
We had garbage data, and garbage reports of how this disease works from the get go.
We started “social distancing” less than a freaking month ago. This has been here since at LEAST around Thanksgiving of last year. There is no way there was an outbreak in China then, but it didn’t start spreading here until January. It is naive to think so. Just as it is naive to believe that every major transportation city and hub in this country hasn’t had it tracked through there, and spread around the world and country.
All this is, was an extreme over reaction, forced by media hounding and harping on it.

Right now, a $20 cure (HCQ, z-pak & zinc) is 100% effective IF used soon enough. No deaths, no hospitalization.

Make it available everywhere. And then let others compete with it.

I’m not sure I would call it 100% effective, nor would I call it a “cure”. But, even if it proves to be only 60% effective that would make a huge difference and be more effective than the Flu vaccine is. My guess from reading what information is out there is that the triple combo is around 80% – 90% effective if used early on against this virus.

Time will tell, but even 80%-90% is better than most treatments and for very little expense. I think the inexpensive part of this treatment is as big a factor as anti-Trump in the powers that be argue against this remedy. No money to be made is a disincentive.

Or did these people die with CV or just having symptoms?

The story across this country changes immensely if 50-70% of the RECORDED CV deaths actually dies from something else.

If right then our real national death rate drops from today’s 15,000 to possibly as few as 4,500 National Deaths.

The fraud, this abuse will continue unless an honest investigation is conducted to ensure the stats of CV deaths that are being reported are people who truly died FROM Covid-19.

Rush should call out and ask for a National Investigation and also create a website where doctors can anonymously report death certifications and if they were pressured to certify non CV deaths as CV deaths.

He and Lyin’ Brian are still on Fake News

“When CBS’s 60 Minutes Wednesday broadcast its lead story—reported by Dan Rather and produced by Mary Mapes—on the evening of September 8, 2004, it was given the anodyne title “For the Record,” as though it constituted little more than a disinterested historical footnote. In reality, the story was a bold fabrication about President George W. Bush’s long-ago service in the Texas National Guard, intended to damage him in his campaign for reelection against John Kerry.

Within hours of the broadcast, after CBS News posted online PDF copies of four memos highlighted in the segment, the story began to fall apart. The memos looked phony. By the following evening, CBS was in crisis mode trying to deal with the mess. As other news outlets followed up, the story continued to disintegrate. CBS nevertheless hung with it for nearly two weeks. The New York Times provided its own form of encouragement to CBS. In the words of the classic headline over its story of September 15, “Memos on Bush are fake but accurate, typist says.” Four Times reporters collaborated on the story.”

Ohio corona. Virus update: 5512 confirmed cases. 213 deaths. Confirmed cases are 0.0005% of the population of Ohio.

Both gov. Dewine and dr. Acton trying to explain why the models were so wrong. We were told to expect 10,000 new cases a day, then that was lowered to 1,600 per day. So far the cases are going up only by a few hundred a day so far. Says it’s due to social distancing. 🤨. Said that nobody really knew what to expect when the models were first done. But they keep adjusting as more data comes in.

Still complaining that they don’t have enough testing. I wish somebody would ask them why they don’t have enough after all this time.

Dr. Acton says there are people at the statehouse protesting. Upset they lost their jobs. I’m glad people are starting to protest. Want to go back to their jobs and life. Reporter asked deWinei if he is facing the backlash of the protesters. That they are out there waving American flags and protesting the lockdown and loss of jobs.

I really think the pressure is mounting with these lockdowns and now massive loss of jobs. I just don’t think you can contain a populace that is used to freedom without such pressure building.

One last thing. The governor and his team are thinking that they will be tracking people they will then know if you have covid or have recovered from it and then “allowing” you to go to the front of the line and getting back into society.. and if you don’t have the antibodies built up then in the case if a vaccine Is developed you would be the first in line to receive it. 😳. Sorry but having the gipovernment track you and deem whether you are acceptable to renter into society is scary and terrifying stuff.

As far as damage to your retinas my rheumatologist has told me many times but there really is no reported cases of damages to your retinas. People have been on at one for 15 to 20 years and no damage to their retinas. I don’t think that coronavirus patients we need to be on it for years and years and years. I’m just not understanding what the resistance is to this drug. I take it every single day and it does wonders for my arthritis. The resistance is that President Trump spoke about it first to the American people. Fauci and Birtz have never given even a nod of approval. The main stream media is not reporting on it at all. It seems that only conservatives that read know about it. Fox and OANN are reporting. As long as there is no cure CDC and FDA are in control or so they think. They also want a vaccine for it instead of using the cure. How can we ever trust these organizations again?

There are warnings all over OTC packages. This could be the same. Let the people decide what risk that are willing to take. For example, you are warned not to drink in excess when taking certain medications due to risk of liver damage. Also lots of OTC warn to not take for an extended period of time and if symptoms persist, see a doctor. We need to stop being treated like babies. Take at your own risk, you’ve been warned.

Correct, my husband who is very high risk, has myasthenia gravis and he cannot take either hydoxyquinolone or zpak or could send him into a respiratory crisis. So, while it is helpful for most, is not for everyone. He and I are both thankful that it is so helpful for others though and wish it would be required treatment in every hospital across the country. We don’t think it is fair that it is only being provided in a portion of hospitals. Who is worthy to sit in judgement of men to determine who gets this drug? Why only the cities with more deaths? To make the statistics look better?

Even if AMC is able to tap government bailout funds, Handler wrote, the company’s high leverage ratio — with $4.75 billion in debt — “will make for tough sledding… thus making a reorganization inevitable.”

While I appreciate the daily discussions by POTUS, politicians, health care bureaucrats, and logicians — I would love to see daily piped in grand rounds or roundtable discussions with physicians and nurses in the medical centers where COVID patients are being treated. Lets hear the attendings (and not just the limelight seeking department heads), fellows, and residents, as well as basic scientists and pathologists in their meetings about this virus.

Let’s see autopsy results, blood smears, serology results, clinical time courses. ACCURATE demographic information and the freedom to sample populations. Put the old seasoned researchers, docs, nurses, respiratory therapists on the cases (in a safe way — at least looking at the data).

Lets unleash a call to the spirit of innovation and ingenuity to the medical community instead of tying their hands with bureaucracy, regulations, rules, data entry requirements, and financial fear, instead of over regulating to the point of not being able to function.

We are reacting to and adjusting to a disease we don’t even fully understand yet.
