Frankly, its from coming to the conclusion that logic simply isn’t going to work.
Any still infected with TDS can ONLY be persuaded to see the light through Gods intervention.

And, praying specifically for them IS praying for our nation and world.

Think about it, how does the deaths and loss of wealth help President Trump?

Conversely, how do these losses benefit (in theory) Democrats who want to be President?

If our TDS friends can’t wrap their brain around this logic, only God can help them.

Psychologists and medical profession can NOT ‘treat’, let alone ‘cure’ addiction, because it truly is a disease of the SOUL.
The only recognised effective treatment involves 12 steps, and the FIRST is agkowledging a higher power, and later steps include forgiving others for percieved transgressions, and asking forgiveness.
              And, it WORKS.
Ergo, anyone still experiencing TDS, similarly are, experiencing a malady of the SOUL, and in healing our nation, they must be healed, which can only come from GOD.

***Today’s WeBuildTheWall / Fisher Industries posts***
    (Previous posts: https://theconservativetreehouse.com/2020/04/01/april-1st-2020-presidential-politics-trump-administration-day-1168/comment-page-1/#comment-8009556)

Note: Most of the WBTW related social media accounts are covering coronavirus, politics, or illegal alien crimes. We will probably be in a quiet period regarding wall content until the next project(s) are near completion.
The praises (much of which are older news) have been provided for those who wish to give thanks for them before praying for the wall prayer requests. I may add to, trim back, or simplify from time to time as projects/events progress or come to completion. If there is any new wall news I’ll list them in the update below. Otherwise, feel free to page down or scroll past.
    – – – – –
    Wednesday night update – 4/1/20

    – Brietbart article (& audio interview): HUD Secretary Carson: Quickly Evolving Coronavirus Treatments Could Change Landscape ‘In the Next Week or Two’
    – Article about 95 year old Veteran beating Coronavirus.

    – – – – –
***Praise: 🧱 (Project 1: May/June 2019)… WBTW/Fisher Industries was able to build a half mile wall up the side of a mountain in 11 days (with zero safety incidents), cutting off 19 major drug cartel trails, and closing off one of the worst areas along the border… (Sunland Park, NM)
***Praise: 👍 (11/20/19)… DHS Secretary Chad Wolf & CBP Chief gave a huge endorsement to WeBuildTheWall while visiting Project 1. CBP Chief called it a “Game Changer”. It’s the only time CBP or DHS have ever endorsed a wall builder.
***Praise: 🧱 (12/2/19)… Fisher Sand & Gravel was awarded a $400M border wall contract to build 31 miles of wall in the Cabeza Prieta National Wildlife Refuge in Yuma County, Arizona.
(Fisher receives $268M of this $400M project)(Estimated contract completion date is Dec 30, 2020.)

***Praise: (12/4/19)… Brian Kolfage & his family were given the opportunity to visit the White House.
***Praise: While the Temporary Restraining Order(s) were in place, Fisher Industries and crews were still able to keep working on some aspects of Project 2 from the Dec. 5th hearing to Dec 12th (after which they were off for the holidays).
***Praise: (Jan 3)… Judge Crane lifted/removed section 8b from the TRO so that Fisher was able to continue to “shave, grade, or cut the riverbank.”
***Praise: (Jan 9)… Judge Crane lifted/removed the TROs from both the Federal government’s lawsuit (on behalf of the IBWC) and the North American Butterfly Association’s lawsuit (on behalf of Marianna Trevino-Wright’s National Butterfly Center) against Fisher Sand and Gravel Co.
***Praise: 🧱 (Project 2 complete: Feb 17)… Fisher Industries was able to build 3.5 miles of wall along the Rio Grande River in Mission, Texas. Project 2’s “water wall” design is the first border wall that’s ever been built inside the flood plain.

***Praise: 🔍 (Reported on 12/18/19)… Senator Kevin Cramer was able to complete his in-depth review of the USACE’s procurement process and send a letter with his findings and recommendations to President Trump on 12/6/19.
***Praise: (Feb 6)… Rep. Warren Petersen’s (R-AZ) bill, HB 2084, making it easier to build border wall on private property in Arizona, passed AZ House on reconsideration with 31-29 party line vote. Next, it goes to the Senate.

🙏 Prayer for the work crews. 🙏
Heavenly Father, we pray in Jesus’ name:
    – for safety and health for the work crews and their families while they stay home during the temporary work shutdown; for safety and good weather for the work crews when they start up work again on Project 3, 4, & 5; that they would be able to continue uninterrupted until completion
    – for healing of Amanda Shea’s 14 year old son who has Covid-19.

    – for WBTW/Fisher Industries regarding the ongoing lawsuits; that the lawsuits would be dismissed.
(Feb 5)… Judge Randy Crane granted a 60-day extension to all parties. The three sides will reconvene on April 8.
    – that WBTW would be able to find corporate sponsors for Project 3. (They already have a major construction equipment manufacturer and are looking for a solar LED security lighting manufacturer or supplier.)

    – that the DoD IG’s office audit of the $400 million border wall contract which the USACE awarded Fisher Sand & Gravel would show everything is fair and above board; that the swamp in DoD and USACE wouldn’t be able to corrupt the process; & that Fisher would be authorized to proceed with the project as planned.

    – that Rep. Warren Petersen’s (R-AZ) bill,HB 2084, making it easier to build border wall on private property in Arizona would get passed.
(Feb 6)… The bill passed AZ house on reconsideration with 31-29 party line vote. Next, it goes to the Senate.

    – for the bi-national summit with the Mexican IBWC and American politicians that WBTW will be hosting; for open lines of communication/understanding; and that WBTW/Fisher Industries would learn what they need to know to facilitate the sign off and approval of their projects by the Mexican IBWC.

    – for 100% safety/health/guidance/direction for the work crews, security personnel, legal teams, CBP, DHS, Army and all involved in Project’s 2, 3, 4, 5 and other projects; and for WBTW/Fisher Industries as they work with private landowners to secure more property to build on
    – that work would go smoothly with continual, innovative improvements in method/process/efficiency and quality of construction; and with transitioning as they scale up capacity(manpower, equipment, etc.) to build larger projects
    – that there would be no outside interference (cartels, IBWC, courts/judges, protesters, swamp, etc.) and that if outside interference takes place that it would only work toward WBTW/Fisher Industries/USA’s benefit (exposing corruption, raising awareness, fundraising, etc.)

    – that Project 2’s wall will prove that the design is sound and that WBTW/Fisher Industries are capable of safely and effectively building it on a large scale in the Rio Grande Valley, with a superior build, at the lowest price
    – that the federal government would provide funding for WBTW/Fisher Industries to build 250+ miles of wall on Private Property in Texas
    – that the Government would purchase all of WBTW/Fisher Industries projects so the funds can be rolled into future projects and Fisher Industries will be able to scale up with additional equipment and manpower as needed.

I’m really trying to understand the thinking of the experts coming out so strong against a medicine that admittedly has not undergone controlled clinical trials. I can understand concerns that the sick and their relatives will demand it and doctors may be unconformable about prescribing it, or that the supply of the drug is limited and patients who take it for approved conditions might not get what they need.

But to scold educated people that ‘well it’s not scientifically proven’ quickly wears thin when they read about the ongoing French study and other reports of success coming in. The appearance is yet again that of elitist experts patronizing and talking down to people.

I don’t disagree with the motive of $, or that big pharma make the tobacco guys look like choir boys, but its too easy to just dismiss it that way, and its more complicated.
If 50% of Drs, when presented with a patient with a given history, signs and symptoms, would order a certain test, procedure or Rx., and a Dr. doesn’t,…and the patient has a negative outcome, the Dr. has no legal defence against malpractice.
Hence, the system encourages the ordering, rather than NOT ordering.
            THATS “CYA medicine”
Studies by the CDC have consistently shown lab tests are only correct, just over 50% of the time.
And yet, if the lab tests indicate a certain coarse of treatment, the Dr will follow that coarse.

NOT because it is best for the patient, because it protects them from being sued for malpractice in the event of a bad outcome for the patient.

“Why did/didn’t you do this, Dr.”
“Because in my JUDGEMENT, based on signs, symptoms and history, it was/wasn’t warranted.”
Assuming a bad outcome for the patient, Dr is ‘guilty’ of malpractice.
However, “Because these LAB TESTS, right HERE, indicated this was the appropriate treatment.”
Dr. is not found ‘guilty’ of malpractice.
            THATS “CYA medicine.
There is hierarchical and institutional,…stupidity, just as we see in every large hierarchy, as well.

      1) Since quinine is a “zinc ionosphore” and what makes it “work” seems to be that it causes zinc in the blood stream to pass into the cell plasma, and thus retards virus RNA replication,, has anyone considered what happens when the treatment is stopped and the cell plasma levels return to normal? If treatment is stopped before the patient’s immunity has time to build up enough, will the already injected virus RNA resume duplication?

      2) OTC Quercetin (from grapefruit) is also a “zinc ionosphore…”

Yes, it is classified as an “anti-biotic”, and many are, saying it is to address secondary infections that may set in because the CV has further compromised the immune system, but,…

The classification as an “anti-biotic” is somewhat arbitrary, and az has documented anti-VIRAL properties, as well.
Perhaps the zinc and Hydro suppresses replication, and the az and the bodies immune systems kill off the virus?

My Taller Half went to South Africa in 1980. Upon arrival, was given Malaria pills. No doctor checked him. No one knew there might be any conditions. That’s all. Never got Malaria. Sitting poolside, everyone in the group could not figure out why they were not getting a tan. It was the Malaria pill.

What seems to be the problem in the US this week? We seem to have another Corona Virus here, but we are not giving out the cocktail of three ingredients that could keep people from getting yet another Corona Virus?

Could I hit my head one more time? This pill has been studied for decades.

As Sidney Powell tweeted tonight, let’s give everyone who needs the inexpensive cocktail of three ingredients and this will be over in a week.

IMO they should just make it available to anyone who wants to take it, whether to combat an existing case of COVID-19 or as a prophylactic. It seems to have few or no side effects when used for a brief amount of time. Let the patient sign a waiver stating that they will not file a lawsuit if they end up with damage from the drug.

I understand why a lot of doctors aren’t touting the drug. There hasn’t been a proper double-blind clinical trial kind of study. But with low side effect risk it seems to be like so many other drugs the docs hand out. They can say they’re not entirely on board with prescribing it but go ahead and do it if asked by the patient. Just my opinion.

The medical community has to use the combination for it to work. I think we are seeing that a cure does not fit their narrative. Big Pharmaceutical companies want a billion dollar vaccine and trillions are at stake. We are seeing reports from individual doctors that have amazing results. Where is the information from huge NY hospitals that are crammed full of people? President Trump said they would start the medication over a week ago. We are seeing the CDC in their usual government speed as people die, and the country Is under Marshal Law. Anyone that is not pushing President Trump’s combination drug is on the other side and maybe getting big Pharma money. It is time for the truth to be spoken!

The Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) model cited by White House Coronavirus Task Force officials has increased its projections of the number of coronavirus deaths in the United States by August 4 to 93,765. The Coronavirus model cited by Dr. Fauci and Dr. Brix to convince President Trump on shutting down the United States until April 30 was FUNDED BY THE BILL GATES FOUNDATION! So, think about that agenda!

If you dig into the projections of deaths by state, and look at the history (actual deaths by day by state), the projections look about right. The thing that might change the trajectories of the states would be the use of chloroquine-Z pack to lower the hospitalizations and deaths (particularly in NY).

There were 1000 deaths today, with 500 of them in NY. That number is projected to go up daily, with NY peaking soon on April 9th with 900 deaths, followed by NJ on the 10th, and other states like California, later on April 26th (because we have a flatter curve).

The country itself is projected to peak on April 16th with 2600 deaths that day. So, barring some change in how this plays out, we are looking at between 1,000 – 2500 deaths daily for the next two weeks, and then tapering off even slower, so maybe at least a month of national death numbers over 1000 each day.

When we start to hit the backside of the curve, the decline, we’re going to start seeing significant rebound of the economy I think. The markets will be the first to improve I think, and as states loosen restrictions it will get even better.

Blue, I don’t trust anything about this. They are lying about whether people are dying of or with CV. Big difference. They must be hiding information about the effectiveness of the meds. They are lying about the need to shut down our country.

My friend in Guatemala says they have confirmed 38 cases. One person has died. He was 85 years old. 10 have completely recovered and the rest are hospitalized. Guatemala City is like NYC in that there are A LOT of people packed into a relatively small area. Very poor, unsanitary and a horrible healthcare system. If this thing is as contagious and deadly as they say, Guatemala would be ravaged.

I may be proven wrong, but to me this entire thing is a world wide globalist/deep state attempt to take out our President. He won in 2016 against all odds. He had survived one attack after another. He will survive this one too. Landslide in November.

For Pete’s sake, the gestapo are arresting pastors and sending goon squads to break up birthday parties. They are tracking people by GPS. They are making gun shops close, while letting pot shops stay open. These are just a few examples of the astounding amount of liberties we have lost in the past 30 days.

These steps will never be reversed. We have allowed all of these things to take place. Aside from one pastor in Tampa, I cannot think of a single instance of people saying NO MORE. Why did not even 5 people show up with signs at a single gun store? Think about that for a minute.

America has gone to sleep. In spite of all the saber rattling, there will be no resistance when they come for our guns. They will use some kind of leverage (virus, vaccine), and people will eagerly trade their guns for food. Everyone will be waiting for someone else to be the first to act. That we have sat by and allowed this to happen is astounding to me.

The next time a Democrat gets into the Whitehouse (and it will happen), there will be another such crisis, only this time they will also cut off cell and internet for the safety of the people. We could conceivably be 10 months away from the inauguration of an Alinsky disciple as president.

People are afraid of the gov’t. We know they are collecting every post, every email, every phone call and text, and organizing the files according to ‘vitriolic” speech. Fear and complacency are leading us to the slaughter.

I trust President Trump to take us through this. I have hope that he will win in a landslide. We may have a reprieve, but a Democrat will eventually be back in the WH. These people need to be utterly destroyed in such a way that they can’t rise again for for generations. We need to wake up. We can help PT destroy these evil people peacefully at this point. We still have the opportunity. But I guess it is just easier to let him do it all.

Just an observation. Given the new interim FISA audit report, when combined with the December 2019 FISA abuse report, plus the redacted opinions from Judges Colyer and Boasberg, since 2012 there is no evidence that the FBI actually followed the Woods procedures or any other alleged reform to prevent abuse of its FISA surveillance authority. And the judges appointed to make sure the rights of Americans are not forfeited are batting a collective .000 for 8 years at the plate. Forgive me for wondering, but wasn’t the entire point of requiring court authorization to make sure the FBI and DOJ dotted their i’s and crossed their t’s? Pathetic. If their not going to hold the attorneys and witnesses accountable for their contempt and perjury once discovered, might as well take the courts out of the equation. They’re utterly worthless.

Then it moves on to Nancy Pelosi saying the President has to be impeached, and their entire side lying about what he did and said, when we had a transcript, and everybody involved on both sides knew that it was completely nonsense but yet they persisted.

Now we’re to the point where we’re all resisting a virus pandemic that everybody involved knows is bullshit, but yet here we are. Both sides, know that they’re fudging the numbers, both sides know that the stuff is not as contagious as they say it is, but yet they keep on. Both sides know that all of their dire predictions have not come true, all the numbers are off by metrics of 400% or more, everybody involved knows this is true but yet they keep on as if nothing is wrong.

We keep having to fight wars, that both sides know are fake. It seems to be escalating, in this latest one we’ve destroyed about 20% of the economy and 10 million people have lost their jobs.

The numbers are a big problem. Major GASLIGHTING going on and manipulation.

Go to the CDC website. You will see the “total cases” in the U.S. of COVID-19 at 186,101. Total deaths at 3,063. It states that the page is updated daily by 4 pm and shows to-date information as of 4/1/20. Google has “stats” that come up automatically stating CDC, state, and Wikipedia as sources. They do not match at all. Totally skewed high.

CDC numbers are not helpful. First. the source of exposure of the 186,101 cases breakdown 1,110 as “travel”, 3128 as “close contact” with a whopping portion – 181,863 as “under investigation.” Read the fine print – it says confirmed and presumptive. Presumptive IS NOT CONFIRMED.

CDC then has a big map with the states colored in with number of cases reported – lighter are less, darker more. Same problem, using confirmed and PRESUMPTIVE. Then they have a column for designation if widespread, defined, or not defined areas. Widespread is considered “across several geographical areas.” WTH is that? Miles? Within one county? Adjacent counties? Defined is “distinct clusters of cases in a, or a few, defined geographical area(s).” Again, what is the geographical area – could mean many things. What is a cluster? Who is determining the category. Sketchy.

Finally, and most importantly, the one KEY number every American would want a solid stat on is mortality rate by State. No data provided on that. One number – 3,063 in the U.S. – with no breakdown on how that number was determined. The following factors would skew those numbers GREATLY:

      1. How many of those deaths were actually CONFIRMED COVID-19 patients (positive for test with no underlying factors that were more likely the cause of death).

      2. How many of those deaths were presumptive like the numbers they are including in the reported cases?

      3. How many of those deaths were patients who had co-morbidities or terminal diagnosis that makes COVID-19 indeterminable as COD.

Big problems with the numbers. All Americans should go online and see this for themselves.

Here is good state by state deaths tracked and projected by day. They also project hospital beds and icu beds need by state by day and any potential shortfalls, but the best info is the actual death tracking.

It also shows the pandemic curve for each state, the daily deaths projected and the peak date and deaths. They projected 900 deaths for today, but there were actually 1,000 deaths for today (500 in NY).

FPCHmom: Thank you. However, these websites prove the point of garbage in/garbage out. The one is projections based on modeling – not based on empirical data. A model. The second total number of deaths does not match the CDC site that is updated daily AND it has no definition or information how deaths are counted. This is very important…otherwise, manipulation can occur.

          Liked by 1 person

          • FPCHmom says:

The death curves are based on the daily actual deaths (not garbage in) as they are reported and then adjust accordingly. I agree that the projection part about hospital beds and equipment needed is based on the models, but the actual beds available is real information as well.

I was skeptical until I started looking at the daily the death curves by state, which now have a couple weeks of real data. I realize that they may not get the peak exactly right, but if you look at how the total deaths have increased to 1,000 just yesterday, they are definitely following the growth rate of the model (as it has been adjusted).

I do not consider co-morbidity to be a discounting of the actual covid death, as many posters here do. Yes, most deaths are of people with preexisting health problems, but most of them would not necessarily die of diabetes or asthma at this moment in time, but for contracting of the virus.

I also realize that there are people who claim that many deaths are being counted as covid that are not, but I don’t know if that is happening on a large scale, but would be surprised if it is.

However which way they are counting the deaths, we are looking at a month of daily deaths over 1,000, maybe even over 2,000 at the peak, from covid.

2019-2020 CDC Flu (A/B) Statistics (Season is almost over November to End of March) 2018-2019 CDC Flu (A/B) Statistics
Total Americans who got flu: 35,000,000 49,000,000
      Number of hospitalizations: 360,000 959,000
      Number of deaths 25,000+ 79,000+

The 2018-2019 Flu season was one the worst & longest in USA history.
      Remember all the travel restrictions?
Remember the Las Vegas Strip shut down?
Remember all the tents for testing?
Remember the fear porn day after day on the news?
Remember the mandatory shutting down of businesses?
Remember the stock market losing 40-50%?

      Oh, none of that happened.

He’s made his position clear, on CHI-NA, and on the EU fairly recently made it clear “not now, but soon” he will settle accounts with them.

Right now is the time for kumbya with lions laying down with lambs, Isreal sending help to Iran, Taiwan sending help to EU, Russia sending help to US,…ETC.

All symbolism of coarse, but people ARE dieing. The settling of accounts comes later.

In that I think the cv will also cause fundamental changes in society, over many years even after its gone.

Most agree the black plague ended the feudal system, but it didn’t end it over nite.

I think the cv, overall and over time, will put and end to globalism, which some refer to as “neo-feudalism”.

Or, perhaps PDJT and CV will be a,”one-two” punch combination?

Interesting observation, Dutchman. Certainly the Black Death helped topple an already weakening feudal system. Our feudal system is primarily corporate and, frankly, less benign than the Medieval one (I reference England, not Europe), because it has had fewer checks and balances. If it takes this epidemic to expose and topple it, that will be a good outcome. The outcome of the demise of the feudal system was, shall we say, mixed.

Many refer to globalism as “neo feudalism”, and its an apt analogy, although not perfect, as no analogy is.

The Globalists are trying to set up a new form of feudalism, but instead of the most powerful and conniving warlord being crowned king, we have the multinationsl corporations in bed with the Chicoms, trying to carve up the world for their benefit.

            And, the Deplorables are hardly peasants. Todays AmericanThinker has an interesting article;
“Heres an Irony for you: Tobacco may save the World”
            By Andrea Widburg
It details all the obvious ways that the CHI-NA virus destroys the Globalist narrative.

And, it is obvious toball but the most adamantly TDS deranged, and there is nothing like a direct threat to people lives and livelyhoods, to make people abandon silly, idealistic notions, and focus on cold, hard reality!

In other words “So, hows that “no borders, no countries, people all just living in peace” looking to you, now?”

Everyone living in big cities, and using mass transit? Yeah, great idea!

In fact, the CV may be the final nail in the coffin of the EU, or it may be the combination of that, and PDJT’s tariffs, which he recently alluded he WILL be implementing.

So, maybe a one-two punch on Globalism, and down for the count?
With major disruption, you never know what your going to get. Reagan brought down the Soviet Union. 10’s of millions were freed from the yoke of Conmunism.

Overall, I think the world is better off, regardless of what anyone thinks of Putin.

And, the battle with Globalism is an existential one; bringing down CCP rule of Chi-na, and EU Buerocrats in Brussels, would be a good thing for the World.
            But,….what comes after?

For anyone who wants to look at the covid projected curve by state, this is a very good interactive tool. It shows the pandemic curve for each state with respect to hospital resources (hospital beds, ICU beds, and ventilators), their availability and projected usage by for each state day by day as it travels through the curve. Some states have projected shortfalls, and some do not.

If you scroll down, it also shows the actual daily deaths to date, and then the projected curve for deaths for each state. When you look at the actual data to date, you can see how they have come up with the curve for each state. It is based on the real data, and is updated every day.

For example, New York (which had around 500 deaths today) is projected to peak on April 9th with approximately 900 deaths that day, and then it tapers off after that.

California, on the other hand has flattened the curve quite a bit, so it is not projected to peak until April 26th with about 120 deaths that day.

It also gives cumulative death projections (through August 2020) by state. You can use the cursor to roll across day by day to see the projections day by day as well.

When you look at this, it is clear where they are getting their overall death projection (which currently is 93,000) from, because you can see the likely path for each state.

    https://covid19.healthdata.org/projections

Another tracker that gives daily and cumulative cases and deaths by country and by state is the worldometer –

    https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/

If you study these, it becomes clear that the projections they are talking about for this first wave are in the right ballpark (around 100,000) if the state by state curves follow the path they are on.

There is a chance that the chloroquine-Z pack treatment will help prevent hospitalizations and deaths, so that these projected peaks aren’t as high, but considering that the US hit 1000 deaths today, it would not surprise me if the number of deaths continues to increase daily, and peaks at around 2,600 on April 16th, as predicted, and then taper back down.

There is a point in those curves of beds needed, about midway up, where the rise starts slowing down. This is an inflection point.

I would not trust any projection that has not passed this point. It could easily keep rising and be much much worse.

New York is close. But California is still way down, only 1/5th of the way up. And Tennessee is only 1/10th.

For these states, it is clear bad things are happening and on the rise. But you can’t trust the projection of how bad it will get. It could easily be better or worse.

But look at Wyoming. It is still down in the weeds. So far down that the kick up hasn’t even started yet. This is raw, dataless, projection.

Also note, since they are listing specific actions taken by states, they are likely using them to guide these projections. I would love to be able to play with them to see the scare effect they are using to pressure governors to comply. “If you don’t issue a stay at home order 1500 people will die unnecessarily Governor Lee (R-TN)”

Having other countries data must be very helpful in projecting these hard to know things. On the other hand, having too many input knobs can hide the use of bad input settings. Especially when inputs counteract each other.

One other critical thing missing is the possibility of suffering yet another wave of infections. We dodged the first wave from China. But that wave inundated Italy which unleashed a second wave of infections which hit us before we knew it. Will there be new waves? (We are likely a source for a new wave of infections. How long can this keep going?) We can even have internal waves sloshing infections back and forth within our country.

At what point, if any, can you feel safe? That strongly influences the decision to take down the stay at home orders. “Yes Governor, it is nearly finished in your state, but as long as it is bad in ___ you must continue to keep people safe at home.

    About models.

There is the adage that all models are wrong, some are useful.

We have models for many things. Finance, public health, global warming, election outcomes.

Before the financial crisis of 2008, banks and financial institutions were free to model any way they chose. The result was a financial crisis that had us take a closer look and begin to scrutinize how these financial models that got us into the mess were being developed.

Today, banks have model regulators. A bank or financial institution has model developers, either in-house or contracted, make the model. Then that model goes past validators and auditors before the regulators get their hands on them. Developers, validators and auditors all know that someone is looking over their shoulder as to how well they do their jobs.

Do we have the same level of care and scrutiny with other societally impactful models? Public health and global warming modeling clearly has a large impact on how we conduct out lives as a society. Who validates these models? Is there a regulator that checks that work too? I doubt it, but it may come to that going forward. We cannot have poorly designed models impact decisions we make as a society.

Modeling election outcomes (also known as polling) should likewise come under greater scrutiny. We all know that pollsters, or election outcome modelers, can give you whatever result you want. Just like the financial models pre-2008.

This comes to Congress to pass legislation regulating modeling. We cannot have unscrutinized models polluting the public space and informing important decisions. This might be a good opportunity to rid ourselves of the scourge of polling numbers. If a media outlet was required to get the okay from a regulating body before publishing their polling results, perhaps they would take greater care. Maybe not, and I’m sure there is a way to game any system. You can payoff a regulator to get shoddy work get published but that would now become a criminal offense.

I know, I know, criminal offenses are not exactly a deterrent in our current two-tiered system of justice. But that will change too.

And the CDC and NIH use these numbers to scare the country on an annual basis. Get your flu vaccine! Fund our agencies. Or the world will come to an end.

A lot of analysis of Fauci and Brix and their motives omits this basic institutional self preservation. There’s a lot of doom and gloom around here today. I could use some more reassuring news and maybe a lot of you do too. Let’s see if I can help.

Firstly, I have an unshakable faith in President Trump. What is happening today has not been a surprise or caught him unawares. As I posted a little while ago, HHS Secretary Azar said this during the announcement of the National Bio-defense Strategy (after outlining the key points: “….a future president understood this and recommended that we do a much better job of preparing for the possibility of a biological attack. “Our adversaries understand that if they are able to blindside us,” he wrote, “they will be much more likely to succeed in blackmailing us.”

That future president was Donald Trump, writing in the year 2000.”

Here we are, and blessed with a President who was prepared.

Secondly, his strategy at this time has been to unleash the awesome of the private sector to innovate and produce whatever is needed while slashing the bureaucracy that would otherwise impede that. In this regard, PDJT has adopted the exact same approach as that of Ferdinand Eberstadt who spurred an historic level of production to equip the military with everything it needed to fight and win WWII. Under Eberstadt’s leadership, while industrial production doubled in Germany and Japan, and tripled in Britain, US production increased by **26** times. By the end of the war, more than half of all industrial production in the world would take place in the United States. And the same is going to happen again and has already started. Did PDJT study Eberstadt’s achievements or was he divinely gifted with the same insight? Either way works for me!

So, enough with all the negativity and let’s agree that PDJT has got this, and he has got it to a depth that will only be revealed as time passes and this war against the ‘invisible enemy’ will be won as comprehensively as the great win in WWII.

It seems everybody is stuck on the growing numerator without a denominator. That’s how we get false math and fake media.

      Thank you, Bob
I too am fed up with the doom and gloom.
I have posted more than once that I don’t have a problem with statistics. My problem is with what I call the Convulsive Contusions.

Here is an analogy that might be understood by many people.
Patient comes to pain clinic with ‘pain’. Might be back pain, might be hip or knee pain. Brings lab data (stats). Includes a number of diagnostic blood tests plus imaging such as MRI, Cat Scan X-Rays. At the clinic ‘she’ fills out questionaire.

Enter the doctor (dr). Dr reviews lab data, examines patient. Discovers ‘she’ is what is often referred to as a doctor shopper.

What does this mean? It means she has been unsuccessful in her quest to find pain relief.
Physical exam shows ‘obvious’ obesity. Yup, lab data confirms pre diabetes. Dietary questioning reveals poor dietary choices. Also discovers that due to ‘pain’ patient physical activity is slim or none.

What is the doctor (Trump Admin) to do? Dr has all available info (stats) and trail of treatments from previous drs (how previous epidemics have been handled). Previous treatments might have included drugs and / or surgery (or vaccinations).

Recommendations – goals to change lifestyle (try things not tried by other drs).
      – first get patient to change eating habits / choices. “But doctor, I LOVE my cake and ice cream” Compare to our population response – you can’t ground me, I have to cheer at my kid’s basketball game tonight.
      – second get patient to change level of physical activity. response – i don’t have time to go to PT everyday, or i get too tired to exercise. Compare to any argument made by any treeper re: state’s limitations.

The official recommendations to USA citizens come from the CDC and are part of Pence’s task force findings. The individual states have been tasked with making and enforcing limitations based on the needs of their state. Different states, like different patients, have different problems and solutions.

Doctors know lots of patients like this one. People identify with the patient – they have a spouse or parent or kid or friend who has been in this situation. Any doctor will tell you that getting a patient to change their eating habits or start an exercise program is akin to a miracle. Fact is, it is the patient’s choice. They can continue doing what they have been doing – or not.

Same with our problem. If we don’t change our ways of dealing with this world wide pandemic (globalism / socialism) )and revamp our health care delivery system, we can just go on letting people get infected – many will die. And open the door to socialism and any other ploy the elite have planned for us.

Personally I view our VSG P DJT and his administration as the doctor. Private business response is like all the physical therapy and trainers standing by to support our efforts to ‘get out of pain”

Did i make my case re: convulsive contusions?

People have been thinking about how this situation with the Wuhan Virus could inadvertently lead to the dismemberment of the Globalist/Chinese Communist Agenda, where a quasi-serfdom is instituted for most people and robots keep them there. Constantly chanting “everybody must be a Citizen of the World” pushes down borders and insisting that immigration must be “free” because “everybody is a Citizen of the World.”

The Globalists/Communist dictatorships get very cheap labor, institute bread and circuses for the unemployed and the unemployable, and rest their heels on our backs.

Now people are becoming aware that farming out our industries and technologies to our long-term enemies AND pushing for “open borders” were methods of a slow suicide…except for the Globalist/Communists!

Whether enough leaders and their supporters arise – like President Trump and the people here at Conservative Treehouse and elsewhere – to resist and destroy this decades-long* trend remains to be seen. It would seem that our current situation is indeed the Crisis of 2020 predicted in Generations: A History of America from 1584-2069 by Neil Howe and William Strauss 30 years ago, a book I have mentioned and quoted from in earlier comments. Highly recommended!

How America responds to this crisis will affect the future into the 2060’s and beyond. Quite simply, if President Trump is chased from office, or defrauded from winning, the future obviously will be dire. On the other hand, if a revival of American know-how and can-do spirit begins to burgeon, if a revival of optimism and the spiritual life is at hand, if America embraces Life by rejecting the killing of the unborn either de facto** or de iure, then our future becomes much more positive.

*Nearly 30 years ago, Italian author and “semiotician” (an historian analyzing subtle trends in society which combine to cause that society to head in a certain direction) Umberto Eco wrote an essay describing the possible rise of a neo-medieval society: he compared e.g. the rise of quasi-medieval “gated communities” because of criminality out of control to medieval walled cities fearing barbarians and noted how globalists rode helicopters from their skyscraper apartments (i.e. castles) to the airports to avoid seeing the canaille down below. They then jetted away to meet with other “nobles” in their cloud-cloisters away from the serfs and filth outside. See: Travels in Hyperreality

** de facto It is possible that a revival of moral revulsion toward killing a baby will return, so that the stigma will be so great, and the moral outrage will be so terrible, that getting an abortion will become unthinkable, even if the law remains allowing it to be legal. Bankrupting the abortion clinics in this way might be a way around Roe vs. Wade.

And once again, science fiction correctly predicts the future. This exact situation is described in detail in Robert A. Heinleins “I Will Fear No Evil,” published in 1970. I didn’t know the term “semiotician” existed, but Heinlein, in his other works, has said that he has been doing that since the 1930’s.
In the blurb to Heinlein’s “Expanded Universe,” Spider Robinson wrote, “If there is anything that can divert the land of my birth from its current stampede into the Stone Age, it is the widespread dissemination of the thoughts and perceptions that [Heinlein] has been selling, disguised as entertainment, since 1939.”

Dr Oz is on Fox and Fiends discussing the success of hydroxychloroquine in CoronaVirus and the use of it protecting frontline doctors and nurses, ect.
He also said Cuomo put a ban on its use,in NY, for patients because it may interrupt people with lupus and arthritis from receiving it.

It would be a good video to look for and post.
