Are there elections to the State legislature this November, that is, a chance that the voters in Virginia can unseat the people behind these bills?

          Thank you.

It’s been years since living in Virginia so had forgotten its election cycle details. I’m still in shock that laws like this would even be considered possible in the Commonwealth. It’s just crazy.

Wonder if their going with the usual Democrat back-up plan, vote in the middle of the night on the eve of a holiday when those against these measures have little or no chance to report on it to garner the voices to stop it.

So true. Very few NYers screamed and hollered about NYS doing this except approximately 10,000 people at a rally in Albany when it first was proposed. There were some efforts after that, but it has died out and NYers have just accepted it or moved out. No movement anymore to get the Safe Act repealed or revised. Not sure if there is a case sent to the SC challenging it’s Constitutionality but thought there was talk of doing one at one point. Albany and Cuomo passed it all to their liking anyway and there has been little protest since. Cuomo got reelected and the whole state govt. was consumed by the Dems. Our gun laws are very restrictive and we have the red flag law too.

Glad to see VA patriots standing up for themselves and continuing to make noise. Now vote the Dems out asap and take back your state like we in NY cannot.

              • There are signs all over the Hudson valley about repeal the Safe Act.
The Dems own all three branches of government so no chance of repeal now. The NY swamp needs to be drained too.

As I said, the Dems own Albany due to the clueless voters in NYS.

There were repeal Safe Act signs in WNY too but you never see or hear anything about it these days. People finally accepted it and they didn’t say much about the recent passing of the red flag law either. Sad.

I’d say it will be very difficult. Virginia has turned blue in the wake of the increase in the count of government employees under Ozero that have blown up the impact of the Northern Va leftists. That said the donkeys ran uncontested in, I recall, 18 some seats in the state legislature. Apparently, not all of these seats were Northern Va. Federal elections are pretty much a lost cause. Another very important reason to move federal agencies to other locations and staff them with more flyover personnel.

Virginia, Washington, Colorado, Montana, Arizona, Nevada, Texas…states that used to be VERY Libertarian minded (and generally Conservative because of it) are quickly turning into Socialist Blue disasters. Between vote fraud and the massive importation of illegals, along with the huge influx of Californians, who weren’t content with ruining their own state but want to ruin everyone else’s as well, it is becoming more and more clear that we need to make some HUGE changes or we will not be able to “keep” our Republic!!

“To describe Canada as a totalitarian state-in-progress sounds like a gross and indeed absurd exaggeration. Yet many premonitory signs are present. In the words of political philosopher William Gairdner, author of The Book of Absolutes, The Great Divide and The Trouble with Canada, Canada ‘has just crossed the red line between soft-socialism and soft-totalitarianism.’
“Gairdner has assembled a virtual mountain of evidence for his claim: Bill C-25 seeking to impose “diversity” on all corporations; financial penalties against organizations that do not comply with government programs; a teeming brigade of government surveillance ‘Inspectors,’ that is, spies — wage spies, speech spies, feminist spies, pay-equity spies, Human Rights spies; paralegal bodies known as Human Rights Tribunals with the power to levy crippling fines, bankrupt families and shut down businesses, to impose prison time for contempt of court, and to compel conformity via ‘re-education.'”
    ~
“Canada stands as a vivid illustration of what would be in store for the U.S. under a Democrat administration.
“It can happen here, and it is happening right now, right here, in Canada.”

Three prominent enlightenment figures; Jean-Jacques Rousseau ( who inspired leftists), John Locke ( who inspired liberals ), and Thomas Hobbes ( who inspired conservatives), were in agreement that the authority to govern can only come from the consent of the governed.

Therefore, we have democratic elections. Simple enough, right? Not to our bureaucrats. They are now claiming a supreme right to govern. Are they claiming the divine right of kings, that they were chosen by God? Surely not.

What does that leave? The stark truth is they are claiming to be Nietzsche’s ubermensch: over-men. They should rule because they are superior.

The obvious question screams out: who says so? Put yourself up for election, geniuses. Let’s hear your great ideas. Let the pudgy Vindman; sorry, Lt. Col. Vindman,; let this ubermensch demonstrate his superiority.

Thank you, love Wead. Check out this short piece he did on Comrade Sanders in 2016 towards the end of the campaign.

      -Why Bernie won’t quit?

“Anyone who has run a company, an NGO, a charity, a think tank, a newsletter, a political campaign can tell you a very simple fact. 30% of all donors or subscribers come from California.”
      [..]
“This means that if Bernie Sanders can keep his campaign going, for any excuse, just a few weeks more, he can get to California where thousands of innocent young people will crowd into his rallies and sign his petitions and give up their email addresses.
      [..]
“And if Bernie gets to California he pads his mailing list by tens of thousands and these names will be the little oil wells that will fund all of his projects and his grandchildren’s projects for years to come.”

Eric Holder, Wall Street Double Agent, Comes in From the Cold
Barack Obama’s former top cop cashes in after six years of letting banks run wild

    MATT TAIBBI

“Holder will reassume his lucrative partnership (he made $2.5 million the last year he worked there) and take his seat in an office that reportedly – this is no joke – was kept empty for him in his absence.”

The office thing might have been improper, but at this point, who cares? More at issue is the extraordinary run Holder just completed as one of history’s great double agents. For six years, while brilliantly disguised as the attorney general of the United States, he was actually working deep undercover, DiCaprio in The Departed-style, as the best defense lawyer Wall Street ever had.

“But in the end, it was pretty convenient, wasn’t it, that “the right thing” also happened to be the strategy that preserved Democratic Party relationships with big-dollar donors, kept the client base at Holder’s old firm nice and fat, made the influential rich immeasurably richer and allowed Eric Holder himself to crash-land into a giant pile of money upon resignation.”

What a coincidence! In any civilized country, it’d be a scandal. In America, though, he’s just another guy selling whatever he can to get by. It was just too bad that what Holder had to sell was the criminal justice system.”

    • Remember: 1950’s American school-kids did not play “duck and cover” because the Brazilians were coming. Nope, anytime the USA wants a booger-man, it always goes to exactly one nation: Russia. (Even when there is no more “USSR.”)

Face it – what these people are still in full denial-mode about: “Donald Trump won.” He didn’t win “because Russia interfered.” He won because he offered, and to this day still offers, something fundamentally different. He re-imagined what the Office of the President could be, how it could use its appointed powers, and what it could achieve. The American people took a daring chance … “what an American thing to do!” … and have been splendidly rewarded.

If PDJT had been the “Russian stooge imposter” that his sworn enemies make him out to be, let’s face it – he would have crashed-and-burned very quickly. But, he didn’t. He of course could have ignored his campaign promises once he sat down in that hallowed chair, like most of his predecessors did. But, he didn’t. This is no imposter. This is a sea change.

The Democrats, still running in full denial mode, are pretending that nothing significant happened in 2016. They’re once again offering the usual slate of vacuous candidates who are reading from the same old hymnal. “I thought these people were professionals.” Guess not. But I already know what they’re going to say about next November’s disaster.

The Democrats refused to and still refuse to accept that they were the outside help Trump used to be elected. By their free coverage of him during the primaries. By their ham-handed ‘exoneration’ of Her Odiousness during the campaign. By their over the top descriptions of Orange Man Bad as racist, bigoted, evil, crazy, Mr. H 3X. By the over-the-top assertions of the Steele Dossier conveniently leaked to Buzzfeed then others. Etc. etc. They helped tremendously to get Trump elected. Furthermore, 100% of us know what their pathetic, engineered end-game is going to be. “The Moth is going to return to the Flame for a Rematch.” Exactly how they’re going to explain to their fans that Hillary Clinton is going to be their candidate … remains for another bag of popcorn. 🤣

As the song, “Uptown Funk” says: “Don’t believe me? Just watch …”

“Aw, c’mon Mike … they couldn’t be THAT clueless! Couldn’t be THAT crazy!” … “Don’t believe me? Just watch …”

In Praising Cuban Socialism, Bernie Sanders Is No Democrat ‘Radical’–He’s a Mainstream Democrat

“Let’s give Sanders some credit. He’s holding up a mirror to his fellow Democrats and saying: take a look! Because in praising one of the bloodiest (per-capita) and most disastrous forms of socialism known to history, many mainstream Democrat standard-bearers are in prefect lockstep with Bernie Sanders. To wit:

“Fidel Castro first and foremost is and always has been a committed egalitarian. He wanted a system that provided the basic needs to all Cuba has superb systems of health care and universal education…We greeted each other as old friends.” (Former President of the United States and official “Elder Statesman” of the Democrat Party, Jimmy Carter)

“Fidel Castro is very shy and sensitive, I frankly like him and regard him as a friend.” (Democrat presidential candidate, Presidential Medal of Freedom winner, and “Conscience of the Democrat party” George McGovern)
“Medical care–the life expectancy of Cubans is equivalent to that of the United States, despite it being a very poor country, because they have access to health care. That’s a huge achievement. They should be congratulated!” (Democrat U.S. President Barack Obama)”

And I’ll be perfectly candid in saying that “I don’t give the Chinese Communists much more time in power, either.” And for basically the same human reasons. Turns out that it’s one thing to theorize how a nation ought to be run … quite another thing to actually run it.

Excellent breakdown of the Roger Stone travesty.

“My friend and sometime colleague Roger Stone’s sentencing is set for next week in Washington, DC, (last-minute update: unless, following the dramatic developments of this last week a mistrial is declared) and the circus surrounding it is already in full force. This case, or railroading as it is more aptly described, was over before it began. There was no way Stone was going to get a proper hearing in this venue, with this jury and especially with Obama Judge Amy Berman Jackson and the nasty crew of Deep-State prosecutors on the case (well. Formerly on the case since they all quit this week, butthurt because Roger actually caught a break when the President rightfully stood up for him). It is something that should bother all Americans terribly, regardless of how they might view Roger. Anyway. I figured now would be a good time to revisit the narrative and highlight the ugly, vindictive and indeed unconstitutional manner in which this thing has played out:”

While I understand the thrust of the AT article and agree with need to keep faith that dominoes will fall, the dominant mood among deplorables has turned darkly negative. Not so much against the President, but clearly loss of faith that justice will ever prevail.

Worth remembering that the underside of hope is despair, we can easily flip from one to the other depending on external conditions. Faith is different, being an expression of internal factors not glued to the whims of outside events.

Heroic men and women trust themselves because they know what’s inside, and have faith in themselves accordingly. Such faith is what enables them to act effectively even when facing unfavorable odds. Of course our heroes often cite faith in God as underpinning all else that makes them the great people they are.

Scripture gives many examples of imposed patience as a test of faith and the triumphant rewards of enduring the adversity. If the idea of the article is correct, our patience as emblematic of faith in the MAGA spirit is a requirement to see draining the swamp come to fruition.

All grumbling aside, over the next 12 months this is the vital question: are we willing to suspend judgement that President Trump’s efforts have failed? How we answer will make all the difference to the outcome, and to the fate of the American nation.

      • I don’t think anyone can say that our President Trump’s efforts have failed, not by any stretch of the imagination.
He has had more victories than anyone thought possible, despite going up against the most powerful army of seditious traitors ever assembled from the ranks of the Intelligence Community.
If there is a failure to prosecute the bottom feeding scum, it will not be on our President. It will be on those who have betrayed both him and us, those unelected bureaucrats who think they know better than the people of this country.

The people caught up in negativity will ultimately have to face the upshot. By the “captain of the ship” idea, lack of prosecution of the criminals will have to be laid at the President’s feet. The failure to bring justice will have happened on his watch, the buck stops with him.

For my part I don’t subscribe to such a nihilistic position. I have faith PT will redeem justice for the American people, it’s far too soon to give up. Patience is still warranted.

But there are many out there who are far too ready to give it up for dead (the DOJ, etc.) now. Maybe in a year or two, if nothing happens that might make sense. Personally I don’t think PT will let it go that way.

Not the deplorables with whom I associate. We have tasted Winning and are hungry for more!

Yes, there are (and will be) highs and lows. Having a President who knows how to fight and win buoys us through the low spots. Learning how to fight and win for ourselves ensures Our Republic shall endure.

Real Deplorables don’t do “darkly negative”.

Let’s say it this way, there are those who CALL themselves “deplorables” who manifest a dark negativity, some right here among the commenters on this site.

Perhaps they’re not “real” deplorables, or just momentarily discouraged, time will tell. But the true measure of faith is when times are bleak. I’m not one to get overly caught up in transient setbacks, Lord knows we’ve have many during this Presidency.

You’re right of course, appreciating the wins is imperative to survive the setbacks. I’m confident with President Trump at the helm we will be inspired to fight and support the winning agenda. Our Republic will indeed endure the present adversity.

Candidates (sic ….) merely pushing buttons because they’ve been told by experts (sic …) that the buttons exist and therefore ought to be pushed. I find it very hard to believe that any sentient human being actually exists who actually(!) feels that way, such that he or she would actually(!!) make such a statement, unless a “pollster” told him/her to.

Why did US break Diamond Princess coronavirus quarantine? ‘Something went awry’

A top health official at the National Institutes of Health acknowledged the quarantine aboard the coronavirus-infected Diamond Princess Cruises ship failed while discussing the decision to evacuate hundreds of American passengers – 14 of whom tested positive for the virus.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health, said the original idea to keep people safely quarantined on the ship wasn’t unreasonable. But even with the quarantine process on the ship, virus transmission still occurred.

The Japanese health ministry said Monday that the number of cases confirmed aboard the Diamond Princess had reached 454.

“As it turned out, that was very ineffective in preventing spread on the ship,” Fauci told the USA TODAY Editorial Board and reporters Monday. Every hour, another four or five people were being infected.

First, if the United States is firm in blocking us, it is hard for us to do anything significant to Taiwan, Vietnam, India, or even Japan, [so] how much more living space can we get? Very trivial! Only countries like the United States, Canada, and Australia have the vast land to serve our need for mass colonization.”

“We are not as foolish as to want to perish together with America by using nuclear weapons,” the general said. “Only by using non-destructive weapons that can kill many people will we be able to reserve America for ourselves.”

Either the United States is “cleaned up” by biological attacks, or China suffers a national catastrophe.

“We must prepare ourselves for two scenarios,” Chi said. “If our biological weapons succeed in the surprise attack, the Chinese people will be able to keep their losses at a minimum in the fight against the United States. If, however, the attack fails and triggers a nuclear retaliation from the United States, China would perhaps suffer a catastrophe in which more than half of its population would perish. That is why we need to be ready with air defense systems for our big and medium-sized cities.”

Now we are criticizing the quarantine by the Japanese?

They are now running from their own decision to allow the Americans off the ship to come, It seems they did not know about the numerous false positives? Absolutely reckless.

What we know about Diamond Princess cruise passengers with coronavirus flown back to US

Fourteen evacuees from the Diamond Princess cruise ship quarantined in Japan were allowed to fly back to the United States Sunday despite testing positive for coronavirus, the U.S. State Department and Health and Human Services said in a joint statement. The evacuees were not symptomatic.

“These individuals were moved in the most expeditious and safe manner to a specialized containment area on the evacuation aircraft to isolate them in accordance with standard protocols,” the statement, published Sunday, read.

The State Department was unaware the individuals had coronavirus when they were being removed from the ship; they had tested negative just a few days before, Robert Kadlec, the assistant secretary for preparedness and response at the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, said on a phone call with reporters.

“If those results had come back four hours earlier before we’d started to disembark the ship and before these people were evacuees within an evacuation system, then it would’ve been a different discussion.” Dr. William Walters, director of operational medicine at the U.S. Department of State, said on the call.

and what was the protocols? A plastic divider

“The aircraft design allowed passengers to sit in isolation thanks to a plastic divider at the tail of the aircraft.”

But where are those passengers now

A level 3 “biocontainment” facility…for people affected by bio-terrorism or highly hazardous communicable diseases.

      From a plastic divider to…
“Some of the unit’s unique features include high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filtration system to ensure that micro-organisms do not spread beyond the patient rooms. There is a secured access main entrance featuring double doors that are pressure controlled. Staff have a separate, secured access entrance and exit. Dual “pass-through” autoclaves decontaminate waste, linens, and materials leaving the unit. Patient isolation rooms maintain negative air flow with 15 or more air exchanges per hour to assure that hazardous infections are contained. In addition, use of a secure telehealth communication system minimizes the number of staff needing to enter isolation rooms. Use of HEPA-filtered individual isolation units, sometimes called biopods or isopods, are available for safe transport and transfer of an infected patient to the unit. These are just some of the safety measures being taken to keep germs inside the unit and people safe on the outside.”
