Thanks Grandma for reminding me that Meadows was also there (🤦🏼‍♀️), and for your daily prayer as always.

If there is little else the average treeper can do, we can start keeping track of who shows MAGA support and tell them we appreciate it.

I think Trump wanted the Kurds to realize that their best opportunity was to rejoin Assad for their protection. The Kurds want their own state but do the other countries in the area agree? If not, helping them to get their own state would cause more disruption and chaos. The ME still does not accept Israel after we helped create it after WWII.
I hope these people will find peace and a lasting identity in their land.Certainly Turkey has no right to it.

      • Jim in TN says:

The middle east is a set of countries created by the British and French after WWI. Arbitrary lines drawn in the sand. Turkey is all they left behind to the people who had once ruled a vast empire.

I am amazed that national identity has formed so quickly in all the new countries and that these countries haven’t all collapsed and split up like Yugoslavia.

Assad was a fool to allow terrorists to use his country against us in Iraq. That is like Trump’s story of the woman helping the snake cross a river.

Obama was an even bigger fool for thinking he could get rid of Assad indirectly by fomenting the terrorists against Assad.

Putin saw the opportunity Obama had left open and took it, restoring Russia as a world power by protecting Assad and Assad’s Syria.

But only Trump could wipe Obama’s ISIS off the map. And now, in leaving, he has helped anti-Assad factions turn to Assad and Russia for protection from Turkey, and he has helped Turkey establish a buffer zone to protect them from terrorists. All while protesting and sanctioning Turkey for its actions and getting blamed for abandoning the anti-Assad factions to Turkey, and being belittled as a failure by Russian newspapers.

And Trump did all that despite fierce opposition at home and undergoing Dean Wormer’s, I mean Chairman Schifty’s, double secret probation, I mean combination Stalin Show Trial and Star Chamber Secret Trial, I mean anti-American, rights denying, defense denying, unauthorized, kangaroo court, secret basement pseudo-impeachment.

There is risk to our POTUS for the courageous move of taking on this wing of the swamp.

This is why I feel a strong need to support our small in number, but stalwart, MAGA reps in every way possible, while VSGPDJT battles the worst of the Rs.

The MAGA folk should show record positive response from their constituencies. Conversations in the cloakrooms should help dawn on the marbleheads of some few R fence sitters in either chamber that they will win if they pick the right side. Every small step helps, until more MAGA people can be elected.

“An investigation by federal, state and local authorities found that IFCO officials were driving illegal immigrants back and forth to work, paying for their housing and deducting money from their monthly paychecks to cover expenses.”

The civil service was always, and will always be, a sword aimed at the heart of our Democratic Republic.

The Civil Service is not part of our Constitution.

Originally, the President had the responsibility of filling all government jobs. The Presidency changed parties, and all government employees were out and replaced. This made the President truly responsible for all executive actions.

But government got too big. One man couldn’t do it all. The system was demonized as a spoils system. Crooks in places like Tammany Hall were used as the examples.

And we created the phony concept of a ‘pure in heart’ civil ‘servant’.

      And government grew larger.

And civil servants were allowed to unionize.

And now, a bunch of self-anointed elites are ruling over us and thwarting a democratically elected President.

    Deep capture and Trump’s impeachment
    by Armstrong Williams

    Tuesday, October 22nd 2019

(MGN/The White House / Shealah Craighead)

The following is an editorial by Armstrong Williams.

As a nation we marveled at Dr. Martin Luther King’s moral reasoning; it helped overcome a deep sense of inertia among the largely conservative civil rights establishment which favored incrementalism rather than rebellion. But, King countered that the system of oppression was so entrenched in American society that no legal action would effectively challenge its injustice. As a result, he adopted a radical new strategy – nonviolent disobedience. His reasoning was based, not in man’s law, but a higher one: “just as it is wrong to use immoral means to attain moral ends”, he said in his letter from Birmingham jail, “it is just as wrong, or perhaps even more so, to use moral means to preserve immoral ends.” President Trump, facing a similar historical arc, is signaling just that.

Impeachment furor has reached a feverish pitch in both the news media and on Capitol Hill. Several Congressional inquiries, mostly stemming from the Democratic party, into the President have gathered momentum. Many of the so-called ‘revelations’ and ‘allegations’ used as justification for these inquiries have emerged from anonymous sources and so-called ‘whistleblowers’ within the administration and the intelligence community.

The timing seems a tad suspicious. This latest controversy comes on the heels of Trump firing former National Security Advisor John Bolton and Trump holding firm in his decision to withdraw all American troops from Syria. Both decisions were met with apparent surprise by Mr. Bolton and others within the military-intelligence establishment.

On the other hand, Trump’s personal peccadilloes and petty offenses seem to be just that – a petty justification for removing the President by the extreme measure of impeachment. The likely reason for such a unified rancor is perhaps that Trump’s foreign policy ‘infractions’ have riled an especially entrenched set of interests within America’s military and its intelligence communities. It is telling, perhaps, that the mainstream media, which constantly hounded George W Bush’s administration over its needless wars, seems to take particular umbrage at Trump’s efforts to extract America from that very trap.

The fever pitch over Trump’s unorthodoxy has reached such a crescendo that normally staid, middle-of-the-road Republicans, including Presidential Advisor Rudy Giuliani, and former House Intelligence Committee Chairman, Devin Nunes – have taken to defending our President by casually evoking the darkly conspiratorial ‘deep state.’

No one knows who the members of this, ‘deep state’ shadow organization are for sure, no one is naming names. Regardless, it seems to hound the President at every turn. Doesn’t this lament seem somewhat incongruous coming from a political party that controls half of Congress, The White House, and the Supreme Court? How is it that the President’s camp can wield such potent levers of political power and at the same time consider itself besieged by shadowy players?

The answer is more banal than nefarious. The ‘deep state’ is hiding in plain sight. It is not a clandestine group, rather it’s is a prevailing attitude. Many of our citizens and our institutions have adopted incrementalism as a lingua franca. The same inertia that caused civil rights leaders to oppose to Dr. King’s radical new approach to leading social change also opposes Trump’s efforts to almost singlehandedly transform the American geopolitical framework.

Interests currently invested in continued militarism, lax immigration, unfair trade, and unchecked indebtedness, fear that Trump’s new direction will starve them of wealth and influence. To a certain extent that is true. Charting a new course might force painful realignments around values and priorities, but it ultimately bends the United States in the right direction.

In confronting Congress directly, Mr. Trump proves he isn’t hiding. He’s openly begging the question: Does America really want to win?

“China to use ‘legitimate’ WTO retaliatory tariffs as ‘bargaining chips’ in US trade war negotiations
Scale will be minuscule compared to those levied during 15-month trade war, but are backed by the WTO stemming from an Obama-era trade dispute
Experts say that while any tariffs may take a year to finalise, they could upset Donald Trump, a known WTO critic, and in turn ‘upend’ the trade talks”

“ China’s pursuit of US$2.4 billion in “legitimate” retaliatory tariffs against the United States, stemming from an Obama-era trade dispute, could be used as a bargaining chip in upcoming negotiations with Washington, experts have said. On Monday, China announced its next move in the long-running World Trade Organisation (WTO) dispute after the Geneva-based governing body for trade found in July that Washington did not fully comply with a ruling pertaining to the removal of anti-subsidy tariffs on Chinese goods ranging from solar panels to steel cylinders, which have been in place since 2012. The value of tariffs China is now seeking to impose will be ruled on by the WTO’s arbitration body, which will ultimately rule on whether the US$2.4 billion sum matches the perceived damage to China’s economy. “Any request for trade retaliation gets litigated, and an arbitrator decides the amount of allowable tariffs. The final amount is sure to be less than the US$2.4 billion,” said Simon Lester, associate director at the Cato Institute and former legal affairs officer at the Appellate Body Secretariat of the WTO.”

Susan Rice did not become a villain because of what happened at Benghazi, that honor goes to Barack Obama and Hillary. The stand down order to our military is a mystery and a disgrace to this day. No answers.
She became a villain when she went on the Sunday talk shows and lied about the origin of the attack, blaming it on a video. There was arms smuggling in Lybia and Obama’s policy that was promoting the Muslim Brotherhood and the assassination of Omar Kadafi were things she should have addressed that day.

Rice blames her part on the CIA generated talking points. It’s not her fault, she was just following orders, now she is a laughing stock, the butt of every joke, how unfair and mean. /s

Reminds me of all the cabinet officers who marched forth to defend Bill Clinton’s Honor. Made total fools of themselves. And they knew he had none, and knew he misbehaved.

Anything for the cause. Even claiming they were just following orders. Or they were lied to. Or, or, …

I wondered if this was a coordinated effort between Rice and Miss Lindsey. Lindsey of course was back on Hannity last night to respond to her comment. He looked nervous and uncomfortable when Sean asked him if he could call Adam Schitt in front of the Senate to question him about Schitt’s contact with the whistle blower.

Of course Miss Lindsey glazed quickly past that question, after responding…uh no. He said I want to get back to Susan Rice and ask that everybody just judge me by my enemies…

After all Lindsey is such a good friend to the other side of the aisle.

Trinh knows like the shadow knows. Follow her if you want the low-down on what’s happening in Asia. She was one of the first who sussed out the President’s economic policy trajectory.

Urgh, evidently China pork 🐷 price in China rose 123.4% YoY for the week of 12-18 October according to the Ministry of Agriculture. Heard that the supply decline is worse than expected & hence the 🐽 price increase. The divergence b/n PPI & CPI getting wider. Watch Q4 CPI 👈🏻👈🏻

The US State Department is essentially a gigantic money laundering operation. The more foreign aid the US sends out, the more money they stand to make via kickbacks, bribes, “favors” and other means. Trump reducing the amount of foreign aid going out is a threat to their operation. His determination to expose their corruption is an existential threat to them.

That is what this is all about.

Whistleblower acknowledged additional element of potential anti-Trump bias, sources say

The whistleblower at the center of Democrats’ impeachment inquiry acknowledged to the Intelligence Community Inspector General (ICIG) that bias against President Trump might be alleged against him or her for a third, previously unreported reason, sources familiar with the ICIG investigation tell Fox News.

Fox News has previously reported the whistleblower is a registered Democrat and had a prior work history with a senior Democrat.

Though Fox News has learned that an additional element of possible bias was identified by the whistleblower, its nature remains unclear.
