It doesn’t take a computer model to predict that. The Democrats don’t have a viable candidate, and apparently don’t even know what one looks like. We already know who they’re ultimately going to run: Hillary is going to be ignominiously defeated by Donald Trump twice, because “some people just don’t get it.” 🙄

“The Swamp” is all they know. “International high crime” is acceptable and normal. Pay to play. Pay no attention to the little man behind the curtain. They long to treat 2016 as though it were some kind of mistake.

Politicians are surprisingly affordable. (in illinois, a fraud case – operation “silver shovel” IIRC – showed that a politicial vote could be bought for $25 – $50 in the state legislature). Politicians’ “votes” are a purchasable renewable resource. They can be bought like a Timeshare” vacation home. You own them for a limited period of time while voting in your favor, plus high “mauntenance fees”.

It makes good business sense, too – for a mere $600,000 payment to a Vice President’s son, a $Billion grant can be obtained from US Taxpayers. Conventional marketing budgets might be 20% to 30% of a company’s expenses. But $600K/ divided by 1$Billion is LESS THAN 1% !!! So, it makes excellent business sense to “donate” to US Congresscritters, Government Officers and their families.

How else are crooks supposed to get rich and get re-elected, if they can’t be bought?

So, how do we reward Kadafi? Bush eased off of sanctions. But Obama decided to help Europe take him out. Or as Hillary said, “We came. We saw. He died.”

It’s always been assumed by voters that all of the politicians in Washington are crooks. People ask, “How do these crooks keep getting re-elected?”

There’s an old observation that the reason people keep re-electing the same crooked politicians is because, “He may be a crook, but he’s our crook.” So the crookedness was tolerated in each politician’s district because they “brought home the bacon.”

The Dems have a problem which President Trump has been pointing out; they have done nothing. They are too busy with Impeach! Impeach! Impeach! to bother with bringing home the bacon.

Now the rabid TDS base is fine with that, but long time traditional working-class Democrat voters who were used to getting their bacon here and there are not getting anything out of the Democrats in Washington, but they are getting jobs with lower taxes from President Trump. And those workers also are keen on the border issue because they know illegals are the cause of a lot of the job losses. (What, 70% support for the wall if I remember correctly?)

The Democrats certainly do have a problem. They are doing nothing for their traditional broad base, but President Trump is doing something for those voters.

Well now, in the debates, the Democrats have been promising to “bring home the bacon” in the future by promising FREE EVERYTHING if elected. A good number of people know that you can’t have “Free Everything.” They are not persuaded.

Yup. The Do-Nothing Democrats have a problem.

Andrew McCabe, stating that he started the investigation based on George P, (which is why Mifsud and his phones are so important), then musing about who they should investigate.
Mifsud = Western agent = Investigation started based on a false predicate (and who asked Mifsud to target George in the first place?)

George was targeted IMO because he failed in his job, to get the Trump campaign to at least reach out to the Russians (which would have been game, set, and match for Russia collusion, which Trump’s people wisely chose not to do) and thus had to be shut up or down.

I said she’s trying to position herself as a moderate to try and get the nominee to pick her as VP so that she can position herself as a “moderate.” That’s her game and I think anyone can see it. Why else would she be ingratiating herself to some conservatives? Speaking on Fox News. Going after social media censorship. Speaking out against impeachment. Saying abortion needs to have at least some limitations in the 3rd trimester. She’s trying to make herself seem palatable to any conservatives who may not like Trump and help the candidate seem to move toward center once the nominee is selected.

I’m NOT saying I’m buying it, or that anyone else is really buying it.

          • Furthermore, I think she knows full well that whoever the nominee is, they will lose to Trump. However, she will have elevated herself as a VP candidate, get more exposure, and gear herself up for a 2024 run. When I say she’s smart, I mean politically for her own interests. She is seeing an opening and she is going for it. She knows she’s not going to be the nominee, but she wants something out of this. If you look at her on stage, she always wears all white. Why do you think that is? I work in the trade show industry and I always tell my clients they should go with a clean, sleek, white look in order to make the most impact in a “sea of visual noise.”

It takes a lot more than Gabby’s faking of conservative values to impress me.

        Let’s use some deductive reasoning.
        She’s proudly a DemonRAT…….in 2019……..
…Despite all the crime and extremism that party advocates.
…Despite the blatantly transparent fraud of an “impeachment” inquiry that the DemonRAT Media promotes 24/7.
…Despite the obvious crimes being covered up by the DemonRAT media.
…Despite the established fact that the DemonRAT Party does not tolerate anyone who espouses policies too far away from their hard Left platform.

So if a candidate sounds conservative and is STILL allowed in the Party, that’s a dead giveaway that they KNOW she is only FAKING it for the campaign!!

From (of all places….) the Lawfare Blog: (bold emphasis mine)

“The same Mitch McConnell who blocked the Senate’s exercise of its authority to advise and consent to the Supreme Court nomination of Merrick Garland, could attempt to prevent the trial of a House impeachment of Donald Trump. And he would not have to look far to find the constitutional arguments and the flexibility to revise Senate rules and procedures to accomplish this purpose.

The Constitution does not by its express terms direct the Senate to try an impeachment. In fact, it confers on the Senate “the sole power to try,” which is a conferral of exclusive constitutional authority and not a procedural command. The Constitution couches the power to impeach in the same terms: it is the House’s “sole power.” The House may choose to impeach or not, and one can imagine an argument that the Senate is just as free, in the exercise of its own “sole power,” to decline to try any impeachment that the House elects to vote.

The current rules governing Senate practice and procedure do not pose an insurmountable problem for this maneuver. Senate leadership can seek to have the rules “reinterpreted” at any time by the device of seeking a ruling of the chair on the question, and avoiding a formal revision of the rule that would require supermajority approval. The question presented in some form would be whether, under the relevant rules, the Senate is required to hold an impeachment “trial” fully consistent with current rules—or even any trial at all. A chair’s ruling in the affirmative would be subject to being overturned by a [simple] majority, not two-thirds, vote.”

Bloomberg: Xi Jinping Is ‘Not a Dictator’

‘He has to satisfy his constituents, or he’s not going to survive’

Michael Bloomberg told Firing Line host Margaret Hoover that Chinese president Xi Jinping is “not a dictator” and insisted the Chinese Communist Party listens to its constituents. The comments come in the wake of the former New York mayor’s announcement of an economic forum in Beijing this November.

Bloomberg defended China’s ruling communist regime citing its handling of pollution and environmental policy, claiming that it is responding to the needs of citizens. The billionaire’s comments come amid months of violent protest in Hong Kong and international outcry about the oppression of Chinese Muslims.

“The Communist Party wants to stay in power in China and they listen to the public,” Bloomberg said. “When the public says ‘I can’t breathe the air,’ Xi Jinping is not a dictator. He has to satisfy his constituents, or he’s not going to survive.”

“He’s not a dictator?” Hoover asked. “He doesn’t have a vote, he doesn’t have a democracy. He’s not held accountable by voters. Is the check on him just a revolution?”

“No, he has a constituency to answer to,” Bloomberg responded. “You’re not going to have a revolution. No government survives without the will of the majority of its people.”

Starting to worry about Gabbard-she seems to have a lot of people lulled into thinking she is a moderate–and a lot of people enchanted by her attractiveness. IMO she is a real threat as a candidate.

She is the only one on the stage that looks or acts normal. She might be a threat. I don’t think anyone on the stage will be their candidate. They have someone in the wings waiting.

She was with the Guard in Iraq, so that makes her more of an expert on foreign policy than our president, who has been to these places and also attended military school, not to mention having his pick of advisers.
I hate her guts, especially since I saw her tell Judy Woodruff that we have to get back in the Iran deal.
As if there can only be one deal, that one was perfect, and she’s qualified to judge.

She ticks the boxes of female, non-white also. The Democrats are still pretending to care about that.

Don’t worry about Tulsi. If voters picked the candidates, then your concern might be justified………….but they don’t, the party does, and the Dems will NEVER pick Tulsi………even if she could beat President Trump. (Which, of course, she can’t.)

I agree with this, 100%. Word by word. People mistakenly think the voters pick the DNC’s candidate. The Voters didn’t use to pick the RNC’s candidate either, but President Trump is such a force they couldn’t resist him, mainly because the RNC is ran by a bunch of cucks. The DNC plays so hardball they’ll literally have somebody murdered if they have to.

It’s shaping up for her to take it, I think. She’s the only one not insane, and yes, she’s the most attractive and seemingly electable package. Reality will hit the democrats at some point. Warren will hang in to the end, thus blocking Hillary. All this last-minute entry stuff is nonsensical dramatics. It won’t happen.

    • Read my post above about my take on Tulsi. She’s after the VP nod. Trying to look like a perfect way to “balance” the ticket.

She has no chance. DNC will destroy her if need be. She MIGHT have a shot at VP, but only with Biden. Or maybe Yang or Steyer, lol.

      • I don’t know. I think the candidates farther to the left might “need” her more. Whoever gets the nom will need to pivot toward center. That’s why Tulsi is playing her fake-conservative game right now. She knows she won’t win, but is working on selling her “brand.” I think Warren would consider taking her. They thought a woman would win last time simply because she was a woman. We know Dems are stupid enough to double down on stupid decisions, so why not an all-female ticket? That said, we here all know who she really is, but does the general public? The ones who aren’t really paying attention? She checks off a lot of boxes. Former military. Well spoken. Pretty. Non-threatening. Appears more conservative than the others. I’m not sure it will play out that way. I think it might move a percentage point here or there (VPs rarely do) and I don’t foresee it even being close. BUT, what she would get in return is a lot of exposure and up a rung as a “former-vice-presidential candidate.”

Can someone post a 1973 SCOTUS link about the full house must vote for impeachment inquiry to pierce the executive privilege firewall? The one talked about that would make the current “subpeonas” real subpeonas?

Need to show my brother why there won’t be a full house vote on impeachment. And it has to be the source, not a blog.

Did any foreign governments (e.g. England, Australia, Ukraine, …) do anything to give Hillary’s campaign a boost in 2016? Or did Hillary’s campaign reach out to other foreign governments for help in the 2016 campaign against Donald Trump? If so, would that violate existing laws?
