We were promised these deportations by candidate Trump. Why has he waited this long? Millions more have come in illegally since the 2016 election and almost all stayed without any consequence whatsoever. The President understands a significant portion of his base is upset because he has failed to control the border and enforce existing laws like he promised.

The laws have been preventing PT from doing all he wanted to or promised. Now that’s changed a bit so hopefully this can be implemented. Did you forget how much resistance and roadblocks were thrown up over his plans to build the wall? He is trying to do it all but there is Congress and the courts standing in his way all the time. I am very encouraged by this announcement but I’m waiting to see if a leftist judge puts a hold on it again.

I have been struggling with that concept of “some leftist judge putting a hold on it.” Can some judge override the president? Even in a state of emergency? I keep seeing conflicting answers to this. Please, could our wonderful ristvan or another legal eagle clarify this for me.

Ckzak, but laws didn’t prevent deportations for those given final orders to leave.

Thomas Homan, former acting director ICE, has been interviewed numerous times on Fox.

Homan has repeatedly said there is NOTHING stopping him from deporting illegal immigrants who have been given final orders to leave. Currently that sits at about one Million.

That also sends a huge message to others NOT TO COME AND WASTE THEIR MONEY AND TIME!

I saw Homan on FOX and he had not told the President that he would accept the job. I think he is holding out to do it his way, which would probably be a good thing. He said he and POTUS had more talking to do. I hope he gets appointed.

I saw that, and I share your hope that the changes he indicated as necessary will be made to provide the eventual officeholder, himself or someone else, to have real authority to coordinate the multiple organizational entities presently stumbling over themselves to manage the border security/immigration crisis.

The absence of a strongly led and fully coordinated management effort, a real czar, makes the total process dysfunctional. I anticipate that the changes won’t be made and he will continue to refuse the job.

Worth watching for details; if relocation terms apply to Guatemalans as well as others transiting through Guatemala to the U.S. via MX, a “safe third country agreement” with MX would become unnecessary, as all transiting migrants could be relocated to Guatemala.

If Guatemalans were somehow (and counter-intuitively–how could it be “safe” for foreigners but not its own residents?) excluded, a “safe third country agreement” with MX need only apply to Guatemalans–an easier pill for MX to swallow.

Git-R-Done. The president is constrained by the insane laws concerning immigration that were put in place precisely to render enforcement nearly impossible. If you would like people to blame for this, the most recent of them would be Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell.

Ryan promised the president money for the wall and other legislative relief that was never delivered. Ryan and McConnell could have got that done in the last congress. Now you can throw some responsibility on Trump because he signed a budget he should not have until Ryan delivered. Trump trusted Ryan and he should not have. No getting around that. But the two main traitors are Ryan and McConnell. They could have pushed through a bill with teeth that could have done a lot of good.

While billions of dollars are going to support the migrant invaders at the southern border and trillions go to endless wars in the middle east, a total of 552,830 people were experiencing homelessness on a single night in 2018. Of these, 67 percent are individuals and 33 percent are families with children.

The majority are homeless because of mental health issues or related alcohol and drug addiction.

Until and unless we are willing to forcibly container n people to treat their addictions or force feed them their meds homelessness will continue.

Homelessness is a problem of lack of human will and moral courage to directly humanly and forcefully address the route cause. We are morally corrupt for leaving children in these dangerous families. Letting your child live in the street to keep the family together is not love, it is abuse and should be treated as such.

In other words lock them up until their lives can be restructured. Or. Continue on the current path providing monies to cities who use the homeless as federal cash cows.

Yes, I am talking about McCains, Romneys, Erickson/Red State, Cruz, Bannon, and Glenn Beck, for starters.

The MEASURE of a man is NOT his rhetoric. Is NOT his ability to stir our emotions. Is NOT his image. Rather, it IS what a man does when their loved ones and their compatriots have their backs against the wall and need their support and assistance.

Okay. I don’t do conspiracy theories, either. But I also don’t believe in coincidences.

Seth was in an IT role at the DNC (possible opportunity)
Seth was a Bernie Supporter (possible motive).
      Seth wound up dead.
Wikileaks strongly hinted that the source was Seth and put out a reward.
Wikileaks said that Russia wasn’t the source.
The DNC never let the FBI examine the servers or other evidence. They provided the FBI with a redacted summary report blaming the Russians. Obama’s corrupt FBI took this at face value.

      Those are facts.

Facts supporting Russians hacking the DNC?
      None.

        Assuming for a moment the ‘conspiracy theory’ is correct, the priority for Crowdstrikes customer, the DNC, (a wholey owned subsidiary of the Clinton campaign) would have been;
        A) FIND the leak
        B) PLUG the leak
        C) detirmine the damage (what was taken) and then find a way to ‘mitigate’ the damage.

IF they had indeed found clear evidence “the Russians” had “hacked” their servers, seems to me the most logical thing would to have provided that evidence to the FBI.

Even Dummy Donna Brazil figured that out, thought SHE might be next, and so wouldn’t open her drapes, afraid of snipers.

    • Now that the cesspool known as New York State is 100% controlled by the Demon Rats, there is little hope that people like me (Trump supporting conservatives) will be able to survive. At my age I don’t want to have to sell my home and leave the town where I grew up as well as my children. I feel we are being backed into a corner.

The Commie/ Lib/ Dem/ Fascist/ Progressives have managed to have Indian Point shut down next year and that plant supplies about 25% of our energy. Where is that electricity going to come from? Windmills? Solar? What a sick joke.

The illegals with licenses will now be able to vote with impunity and get even more taxpayer funded benefits. They will also be able to lie on the census if that issue isn’t resolved.
Bottom line: on top of everything else, we are going to end up without heat and electricity. New York was once known as the Empire State. Now just call it Venezuela North.

We love where we live, but this state is going down fast. Gruesome just signed a bill to give healthcare to illegals by taxing those who don’t have health insurance. Most of them probably can’t afford it, but they will get taxed anyway.

Now with P G&E deciding to cut off our power at their discretion if a wind event happens, or whatever, we also won’t have power. They say anywhere from 48 hours up to 10 days. We’ve had lots of rain, but because they won’t build dams or catch basins, we get to be rationed to 55 gallons a day per person, dropping to 50 in 2023 I think. We will be Venezuela West in a couple of years.

We have considered moving too, but hate the feeling of being forced to leave a place we love ( even with the fires, biggest in Cali history last year got within a mile or so), just the fact they are forcing us to consider leaving makes us furious. I know the State of Jefferson is a pipe dream, but on how I wish it wasn’t!

My family has been in this town since 1955 and there still are many of us left in these parts. We built the house we live in and have relatives close by. Every year the taxes get worse- my property taxes alone on our own home are $12,000 a year for a modest house, not even a McMansion. That’s $1000 a month PLUS all the other taxes and fees.

My town and county used to be RED but turned purple and are now BLUE. Upstate NY is still pretty good but they are outvoted by the teeming hordes in the NYC suburbs where I live. My vote doesn’t count.

Meanwhile, just when I thought it couldn’t get any worse, I came across this article describing how Cuomo and his Demonics are going to shut off the power in the not too distant future. At some point, someone needs to drop a couple of nukes on NY and Kali.

Any “compact” which purports to assign the electoral vote of any State to be based on something other than only the votes cast within that State would deny the voters in that State equal representation under the law.

California, with its population greater than that of the next four most-populous states, will not determine the election.

      • There’s no such thing as “crypto-currency.” It is an elaborate BARTER system based on numbers that are presently very hard to compute. (Or, so we think.) It is based on the notion of “scarcity.”

Each and every day, trillions of currency-units change hands. Most of these currency units are not represented by “dollar bills” – they are simply transactions done by computer. But, in every case, the currency units must exist: they cannot be “scarce.”

“Crypto-currency” also relies on a de-centralized system of accounting that has been proved to be weak. A token, once used, may not be used again. This drives continuous demand for new copies of numbers that are hard to compute hence “scarce.” This system will break down under load and is already being defrauded. The vulnerabilities are inherent in the concept of the system.

During the Gold Rush days, the only people who actually made money were the hardware store salesmen (people like Leland Stanford …), photographers and prostitutes. Similarly, the people who are making money from “crypto-currency” are peddling specialized computers. In either case, the target is people who want to get rich quick.

Interesting article on China and Tariffs
    Well worth the read..

World’s Top Bicycle Maker Says the Era of ‘Made in China’ Is Over

“Giant Manufacturing Co. saw the writing on the wall early on. The world’s biggest bicycle maker started moving production of U.S.-bound orders out of its China facilities to its home base in Taiwan as soon as it heard Donald Trump threaten tariff action in September.”

Giant is part of a growing number of global firms that are pivoting production out of China in reaction to the increasingly hostile trade relations between the two superpowers. Intel Corp. this week became the latest to say it’s reviewing its global supply chain, while Li & Fung Ltd., the world’s largest supplier of consumer goods, said the trade war is spurring it to diversify away from China.
“Last year, I noticed that the era of Made In China and supplying globally is over,” Tu said. The maker of mountain and racing bicycles closed one plant in China at the end of 2018 and shifted most U.S. orders out of the country. Giant announced last July it is setting up a factory in Hungary “as moving production close to your market is a trend.”

      And food and pork imports.

Impossible for China not to cheat and steal across the board. It is an ingrained characteristic and cultural practice that benefits THEM.

They really don’t care about our country…or us, at all.

        • Radical Democrats really have only one imagined future for our country: Hillary Clinton. Make your “contribution” to the Clinton Foundation slush-pool and the President will do whatever you paid her to do. Four or eight more years exactly like the last fifty, in which one colorless President after another reads from a tele-prompter. (“Dubyah,” anyone?)

The American People instead made a very radical choice – and their choice has succeeded beyond their dreams. Radical politicians don’t care: they want “Madame Presidente.”

In choosing their next candidate, the Democratic Party demonstrates that it is still just as clueless as it always was. Party Bosses will inevitably select “an old white man,” a scion of the political system, beholden to the same oligarchs, reading from the same comfy teleprompter. This is the extent of their comfort zone, and they really can’t comprehend why the American people are no longer content with it.

Yes, Ohio and Florida are not only leaning Donald Trump, but Republican overall.

The Sunshine State, while a very close state, resisted a near-double-digit national Democratic mood. Ohio even more so, naturally due to demographics.

Could be essential tremor. My ex wifes stepfather (a Lutheran minister) has it now very badly, apparently a progressive side effect of childhood polio that left his right arm fully paralyzed. Rev’s essential tremor onset in his early 60’s.
Or maybe not, because usually the hands/arms are much worst than the rest of the body. Is partly treatable by neurologists with beta blockers. Is worsened by stress, fatigue, heat. Rev almost fell apart officiating my daughter’s summer evening wedding 12 years ago because all three factors were present.

The latest news from the State Department is an admission there were numerous security violations during Hillary’s tenure there. It is so comforting to know that the violators have had letters placed in their personnel files. If this had happened during Mike Pompeo’s tenure, we would be hearing shrill, non-stop screaming for the violators to be prosecuted and thrown in prison for LOOONG sentences.

Secrecy inside the U.S. government is really only airtight when it’s to cover-up the crimes of criminal insiders.

Trump has a sophistication, patience, and tenacity that we have not seen in past Presidents because he really does understand human nature and (mass) psychology. Even though his opponents have stubbornly resisted every single move that he makes – he’s still moving. A man like Biden would be walking around with a blank look on his face.

The detection of probable carcinogenic impurities in Valsartan APIs supplied by Zhejiang Huahai has now led to a widening of the net to include all other API makers making sartan APIs.

The Democratically controlled House of Representatives voted Friday 236-173 in favor of the Equality Act, which would require schools to include male athletes who identify as transgender girls on female sports teams.
The bill amends the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to make “sexual orientation and gender identity” protected characteristics under federal anti-discrimination law.

Among other things, that would force public schools to expand female athletic teams to include biological males who identify as transgender girls.

Republican Florida Rep. Greg Steube introduced a last-minute amendment to the bill that would have preserved Title IX’s protections of female athletic teams, but Democrats rejected it.

Every House Democrat but one co-sponsored the legislation. The only Democrat who wasn’t a co-sponsor, Illinois Rep. Dan Lipinski, announced his support for the bill following pressure from left-wing activists.
