IMO, the ism’s are a creation of Satan. Designed to turn the folks away from God and to see the government (Satan) as their god.

Only after the misery becomes so great and the bottom is hit, do folks reach out to God to be rescued…….and in his infinite mercy, he does.

This ancient continuing cycle will not last forever.

      • I listened to the congressional testimony of Candace Owens. Something she said really stuck with me (paraphrasing): Democrats, every election cycle, offer two things: handouts and fear.

The problem is that they never deliver on the hand outs promise and they continually use fear to drive people to the polls. Why? Because it works. Paul will always vote to take money from Peter to pay Paul. This is how the Dems stay elected. But now there is an erosion into the support for Dems from many, including blacks and hispanics. This frightens the Dems. So their response? We will promise you lots and lots of money in the form of reparations. Will they ever deliver? Short answer: no.

I have said for years that the motto of the Democrat party should be “We have nothing to offer but fear itself.”

Every election cycle they attempt to scare people into voting for them. Democrat candidates say or imply, “The Republicans are going to take away your Medicare, Social Security and throw grandma off the cliff.”

From the article: “The migrants surrendered to Border Patrol agents and claimed asylum after crossing the Rio Grande….The agency did not, as it is supposed to, turn families over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Instead, it released families onto the streets of Eagle Pass and Del Rio, according to two government and nongovernment officials with first-hand knowledge of the matter.”

      More bad news.

This week, R.A.R.E. (Rural Association of Redneck Empathy) announced it is demanding reparations from America for its shameful past treatment of rural citizens. “Inappropriate jokes, finger pointing and negative stereotyping have resulted in an entire class of people suffering from guilt to the point they can barely function on a daily basis”, said the director of R.A.R.E., Billy Bob Smith.

The good news is that the association is willing to accept one six-pack of any brand of American-made beer per redneck citizen in payment for past egregious behavior.

This is ridiculous in the extreme since what happened in the past does not get to be blamed on those of us in the here and now who had no part in any of it. We pay enough taxes to try and keep this country going in a positive way and that’s all we need to be responsible for. I will be more than p.oed if the govt. decides to make our hard earned dollars pay reparations to anyone based on past historical events. Just NO.

Illegal aliens are NOT illegal “immigrants.” Immigrants are people who legally apply to come to America and are officially accepted. Like my grandfather, my uncle, my SIL. And many of my fellow CTHers.

Pretext Law and Legal Definition. Pretext generally refers to a reason for an action which is false, and offered to cover up true motives or intentions.
    ___

On June 13, 2019, The Office of Legal Counsel issued a 33 page argument basically saying that Congress is lying about its purpose for wanting the president’s tax returns and that as a result, the IRS need not provide them.

    (Slip Opinion)

    Congressional Committee’s Request for the President’s Tax Returns Under 26 U.S.C. § 6103(f)

The provisions in 26 U.S.C. § 6103 protecting confidentiality of tax returns prohibited the Department of the Treasury from complying with a request by the Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee for the President’s tax returns.

The text of section 6103(f), the statutory exception under which the request was made, does not require the Committee to state any purpose for its request.

But Congress could not constitutionally confer upon the Committee the right to compel the Executive Branch to disclose confidential information without a legitimate legislative purpose.

Under the facts and circumstances, the Secretary of the Treasury reasonably and correctly concluded that the Committee’s asserted interest in reviewing the Internal Revenue Service’s audits of presidential returns was pretextual and that its true aim was to make the President’s tax returns public, which is not a legitimate legislative purpose.

Because section 6103(a) prohibited the disclosure of the tax returns sought in the Chairman’s request, as well as in the corresponding subpoenas, the Department of the Treasury’s refusal to provide the information did not violate either 26 U.S.C. § 7214(a)(3) or 2 U.S.C. § 192.

Interesting development in Mexico. Sorry don’t know how to link but lots of articles out there about it.

Mexico Immigration Chief has resigned. The new Immigration Chief was the Director of Prisons…interesting!

From what I can put together from the articles the old Immigration Chief Guillen was “an outspoken champion of human rights”. I take that as an open border type of guy! And that he and Nielsen had clashed big time. He was “notably absent” in the talks in D.C. last week.

All of this for years has just seemed like a big game of chicken. Now that we have President Trump major game changer for Mexico–they have to actually produce results — or tariffs. The politicians in Mexico are corrupt and even more lazy and uneducated than our politicians.

Not all Mexican citizens are uneducated, border rats, card carrying cartel members trying to get into the U.S. There are a lot who are just like us–working and trying to provide a safe place to raise a family…and those citizens are getting more and more peeved every day. Powder keg.

They are being invaded by illegals and are not liking it at all! The illegals are draining all their services like healthcare, police and schools, crime is rising even more. On and on…. Me, I am like payback!

They called in their heavy hitters and Lindsey Graham and Mitt Romney rose up on cue & we’ve got the pundits speaking about the un-American thought of getting information from foreigners.

Senator John Warner was ready and happy to introduce legislation that he believes is needed to criminalize the act of receiving oppo research from foreigners and all the Democrat candidates for Presidency are aghast that anyone would consider receiving information from foreigners.

    Is there any wonder why?

Tic Toc. And not in a good way.

There is no assurance Trump will be reelected. We pray he will. But you can count on unprecedented efforts to steal the next election.

Which means we basically have until the end of this year to indict anyone who needs to be indicted, and part of next year to convict.

Basically, we need to see an indictment EVERY WEEK beginning NOW, or we can just give up hoping.

So far the Dem plan to run out the clock has worked beautifully. See it for what it is.

I believe you’re correct in your assessment.

Regardless of how many of us will most definitely vote again for our President, “the other side” has been hard at work with tipping the scales in their direction with a whole myriad of strategies — countless really — voter fraud; manipulated machines; disingenuous media; etc.

Unless & until there is an actual public display of the corruption — via indictments — the Left will continue to go full steam ahead.

Nothing — and on one — is stopping them thus far.

That is the only way to prevent this from happening again.

Agreed 100%. Without restoring the Rule of Law, EVERYTHING becomes a bandaid. A temporary fix– easily removed, & permanently discarded.

It may provide some comfort, & a shield for protection. But if the underlying wound is left untreated– it does NOT properly heal.
Instead, the infection sets in. You’re left with a much bigger PROBLEM, & facing far greater THREAT.

I will agree with you because let’s just recall the optimism here for the mid-terms and how it turned out. Sure, it wasn’t a Trump election but it is more a example of rose-colored glasses. This is besides the obvious theft.

Give me either, and I’d take it. Today we have neither.

The deep state and it’s RINO allies have been very successful at delaying and obstructing the rule of law from being applied to the coup co-conspirators, who have suffered only embarrassments and flesh wounds, at the worst, up to now.

The clear plan is to elongate the justice process until the President (and, thereby, AG Barr) becomes a non-factor via impeachment, election defeat, or the unthinkable. The enemy presently sees an end-game that is anathema to them, and they clearly understand they must run-out the clock on the President in order to survive.

      Every day is very important.

Cost is not NEARLY high-enough yet. Hope to see much more of this type of award. Not just in “academics”, but also against the lying-stream propaganda media (re. Covington kids, for example).

A Presidential Executive Order signed yesterday, the 14th of June; looks like another step in the process of streamlining (cutting) Executive Branch committees that no longer serve a purpose.

Step by step, the draining continues 🙂

George Papadopoulos just said the Italian press is openly reporting Joseph Mifsud is an Italian agent possibly being runned by the CIA to work on Papadopoulos.

Wow. That if proven true Blows spy gate wide open and indictments MUST come down!

This is so freaking huge. Remember Devin Nunes has for some time now strongly hinted that Mifsud is either western intelligence asset or if Russian asset, then it’s one of the biggest intelligence breaches ever as Mifsud is seen all over with western intelligence people.

Nunes knows more than he’s letting on I’m sure.

And Papadopoulos is saying that it is being reported with front page headlines that Mifsud is an Italian agent and that it will be coming out over the next month or so.

Lawyer up Brennan, Comey , Clapper etc.
You must be charged with espionage now if there is any sense of justice left.

        He’s an Italian agent…no, a CIA agent…no, a UK agent…no, a Russian agent…he’s James Bond for hire…

And…it will be another month or so before we find out the truth…and then an indeterminate amount of time after that to complete the investigation, coordinate results with foreign governments, let the IC and FBI/DOJ review, give Congress a run at it, and then maybe, initiate judicial proceedings against the guilty parties.

I have seen how this process works over the past two years.

https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2019/06/15/tom-homan-i-havent-accepted-border-czar-post/ TOM HOMAN: I think yesterday’s announcement, the White House has made it clear it was kind of premature. Look, I’ve had discussions with the White House, they’ve approached me. I was first approached by Secretary Nielsen about this job and I declined it because I didn’t think the job was structured right. I didn’t think it had the proper authority. I think a “border czar” needs to be structured in a way they can coordinate activities from DHS, DOJ, DOD, HHS. They all have a piece of this border issue. I think any sort of “border czar” needs to be a person who coordinates an all-government response to the border. When I first had the discussions, that wasn’t the way it was set up. I certainly don’t want to come back and fail this president. I don’t think we should create another policy position as that’s not will have effectiveness on this border so as of right now, I am not accepting the job, but the discussions will continue.

We need someone who has hire and fire authority throughout those agencies to the absolute limit in the federal system. We have saboteurs who are undermining the President’s intent to get control of the border. I want more of an enforcement, not policy wonk, in that position. But I guess one needs to know the fine details of how those policies are to be implemented in order to enforce their correct execution per the President’s goals and still remain within the law.
