    I’ve been thinking this morning about the possibility of Mueller testifying and I’ve come to a conclusion. If he testifies at all, it’ll be after the IG Horowitz’s report comes out. Here’s my thought process: If the IG report is as damning as what we’ve been hearing (as it rightly should be) then a whole lot is going to happen quickly after that. All the criminal referrals from Nunes, Jordan, etc will come front and center along with whatever criminal referrals are in the report, the president declassifying things and the results of Barr/Durham looking at the January 6th, 2016 Trump Tower briefing with Comey should be revealed shortly afterwords.

    So, IF the report and all ts subsequent reverberations occur as I laid out, there is zero chance Mueller testifies at that point. Why? Because it allows the Dems AND Mueller himself to act shocked at outraged that they were “lied to” but if they bring him in before that and then all heck breaks loose? Well, then they lose their chance at coming out of this with minimal political damage.

    In fact, it would be my guess that if Mueller testifies before the IG report then you can just about bank money on the fact that its not nearly as bad for the plotters as we’ve been lead to believe. Because of the nature of his investigation Mueller can’t be used to “get ahead” of the story. He’s an offensive weapon only and not a defensive measure.

      The Dems don’t want Mueller to testify because it will totally reveal their charade. So I’m expecting that Mueller won’t say a peep.

        If Mueller testifies, under oath, he would face perjury charges if he misrepresents the truth. That is a risk he cannot take, although he has played that game on so many others. He could end up behind bars for lying…er ..just doing his job as usual.

        • I expect that Mueller will eventually be called to testify on details of his so-called “special counsel” investigation, partly because of the very strange nature of the Report that he produced. Volume 2, in particular, bears no resemblance to what a Special Counsel’s Office (SCO) would produce, and contains statements that no SC – let alone one of Mueller’s experience and stature – would ever say. It reads directly like a document prepared in the Nixon era, and I’m fairly sure that its authors (whoever they actually were …) assumed that it would never see the light of day, let alone be published. It is also inexplicable that an SCO would write “summaries,” a.k.a. “press releases,” and request that they be published early, and then complain when his boss decides against it.

          It is perfectly reasonable to ask for “clarifications.”

          But the best time to do this – and I expect that he will be called to testify many times – will be AFTER the criminal investigations, indictments, and trials begin. I believe that Mr. Mueller became fully caught up in the politics of the situation, and that this will be a dishonorable end to a very long career in law enforcement.

      I’m among those who think Mueller was simply a figurehead and Weissmann ran the whole show. I don’t think we’ll ever hear Mueller testify about any of this under any circumstances.

      We’re at the point now where, if there aren’t prosecutions concerning this failed coup, it will be a miscarriage of justice just as egregious as the Hillary investigation cover-up which was the precursor to this whole fiasco.

        If there aren’t prosecutions concerning the coups AND the weaponized federal intelligence/law enforcement agencies – then the country we love (and the futures of our children and grandchildren) is basically lost. America will not be the home of the free anymore, it will have been successfully “transformed” into something dark and hopeless.

          Depends where you reside…Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, N & S Dakota, etc, will always be free because they are more rural and less urban. Socialists need cities. Current Socialists in this country can’t critically think themselves out of a box much less last an hour without Starbucks and the internet….as such, they have no interest in rural States and know that they wouldn’t last a week without the security of a city that provides for their addiction to government control.

            There will be NO PLACE left to hide as the communists defile and corrupt their strongholds and leave their filthy nests to ruin the rest of the country.

            Colorado used to be a reliably Republican state until the communists swept in..

            When I was a college graduate years ago, the state of Washington had a Republican legislature and Republican governor. There was a flood of communists who invaded Puget Sound to escape the disaster they created in California and now Washington state is communist-held territory. Washington state recently passed and signed into law gun-grabbing legislation many Sheriffs in that state said they will not enforce because it is unconstitutional.

            The ugly truth is patriots are going to have to literally fight to save America. This is a country with no border, overrun by trespassers, infested with Leftist judges, the sworn enemy of Christianity, gripped by censorship of conservatives and nearly devoid of morality.

            Look at how hated is Donald Trump for his fight to defend the America we grew up in. The man is surrounded by these evil forces and is fighting nearly single-handed in this final battle to save the nation. These wicked people even argue “America was never that great.”

            America’s remote corners are no longer “free.” Don’t kid yourself. The deadly enemy is inside the perimeter. The siege of the few American defenders abandoned and fighting to the death at Benghazi is a metaphor for our nation’s current plight.

              True that. But within the States you’ve cited are local governments and local sheriff departments that are defying urban mandates. Many States are passing legislation that nullify Federal laws that violate 1, 2, and 4th Amendments. Yes, Boise is becoming more socialist…but Idaho is the 14th largest, the 12th least populous and the 7th least densely populated of the 50 U.S. states… Boise is not going to take the guns of the rest of the State. Eastern Washington is currently endeavoring to secede from W Washington.

              Respectfully, I do not agree that “America’s remote corners are no longer “free.” And I will never accept “Don’t kid yourself.” I’m a retired veteran who will never succumb to such negative analysis and prophesy. My freedom is NOT derived from government…I attend to my freedom…and I am surrounded by like-minded Patriots.

        The Dems can’t allow Mueller to testify because as soon as someone from the GOP asks him “Was Barr’s summary of your report accurate?” and Mueller says “Yes” it’s all over for the Dems. That narrative is all they’ve got left from Mueller and they’re going to try to keep it going until November 2020. lol

          Yes, once Mueller turned over (therefore completed) the special council report to Barr it was no longer his to comment on how Barr handles. Barr is in charge of DOJ not Mueller.

The deep state have launched a media narrative with Iran to distract / blame Trump for getting us into a conflict with Iran. Don’t quite understand why POTUS is feeding it though (tweet from yesterday). Thoughts?

        He probably knows their bait and switch tactics – he also knows it is easily proven that Russia is behind much of Iran’s behaviors. Also, if they push too hard, it will be shown the roles of many of their beloved politicians/spokesmen involved in traitorous activities colluding with Iran/ Russia. Kerry? Brennen? Biden? Etc…

        I wouldn’t read too much into the tweet, honestly. News reports were that while Bolton and the Generals were pushing for action on Iran, the president was telling them to wait. So ultimately I don’t think the tweet is an indicator of much right now (and I stress those words) because giving them the directive to “wait” doesn’t exclude the notion that at some point the waiting game may end.

        That, plus the fact that the president occasionally likes to troll people by sending out tweets just to rattle their cage. 😉

          War with Iran will last 48 hours. their economy is already destroyed.
          the Navy isn’t even as good as the NorKs. The Missiles they have are few in number and we do have the tech to shoot them down. IF they try to do a
          Strait of Hormuz shutdown that will be their last mistake. My guess is that before this all happens the Military will mutiny and take on the IRG. That and the IRG is spread thin. Israel will deal with Hezboollah and Hamas. Russia and China will stay out ..

      IIRC, Dan Bongino spoke a few months ago about the typical arrangement the DOJ has for their employees who testify before Congress. If a DOJ employee voluntarily testifies under oath while still employed and honestly admits to participation in illegal behavior, he gets immunity. If he testifies and lies under oath, he can be prosecuted. If he waits until he is no longer employed and testifies under oath to having participated in illegal behavior, he can be prosecuted.

      Wait until Mueller is off our payroll. He needs to be prosecuted.

        The pretty part? May can’t do anything about it what with the likelihood the Brits will look REALLY bad in the upcoming declass.

        This move by President Trump is deliberately “in your face” for anyone who participated in or is aware of the efforts by the Brits to help Obama and Hillary and hurt Trump.

        Plus, it shows Trump recognizes, publicly, that Farage is likely soon to be back in power in a way that May and her ilk won’t be able to tolerate……….or stop.

        This is brilliant, wise, and effective in so many ways for Trump. I keep being impressed with the guy on every level.

        Burke noted that the Catechism also says immigrants must “respect with gratitude the material and spiritual heritage of the country that receives them, to obey its laws and to assist in carrying civic burdens.”

    • FYI: It is actually a true statement that real-estate developers in these markets often don’t need a lot of cash. DJT did a lot of business renovating buildings that already existed, branding them with his own name. These buildings are “valuable, but illiquid, assets.” The only way to make them liquid is to sell them for cash, and to pay punitive taxes (which you’re entitled to avoid), and “cash value” might be less than they are actually worth to the parties. Therefore, many deals are structured as mostly non-cash-based trades which recognize the value of the assets without involving taxable cash. Perfectly legal and prudent.

    The PDF of the report is a mind-blower, even more than the msn.com/ article. The HEAVY emphasis in the report is on how terrible White America is and how White America has DELIBERATELY created the “racial wealth gap” situation (made worse, of course by President Donald Trump).
    It follows VERY closely the classic Marx-Lenin rubric of guaranteed jobs, single-provider “healthcare” for all, guaranteed housing, a mandated “living wage” for all, and intrusive “data gathering” of all aspects of life: PLUS, reparations to all descendants of slaves, a progressive “wealth tax”, and cancellation of al private/employer provided health insurance. The Trump tax cuts would all be reversed.
    Apparently EVERY ONE of the 2020 DemocratCommunist Munchkins have endorsed some or all of the provisions outlined in the report. As you would expect, CORY BOOKER, KAMALA HARRIS, BERNIE SANDERS, and ELZABETH WARREN lead the way.
    Here’s an **interesting aspect”* regarding one scheme in the report—the government-guaranteed (meaning WE pay for it) “Baby Bond” that would be issued to every child born in the United States, apparently including children of illegals: if the premise of the “bond” is to “guarantee” money to children of African-Americans, doesn’t that ALSO mean that Planned Parenthood has to be disbanded, since many abortions are performed on unborn African-American babies?

      At some point someone will ask: Guaranteed jobs??? How is this situation any DIFFERENT than slavery? Along with “guaranteed jobs”, slave owners gave their slaves housing, regulated healthcare, food, clothing and somehow knew whose slaves belonged to whom.

      A guaranteed living wage just means food/clothing/shelter and since they plan to tax your “income” nearly 100% …… they are basically proposing …..slavery.

    • I don’t know what they mean by the “child bond” idea but Canada use to pay money to every family for each and every child they had every month.

      It was not based on lack of income, every one received the payment for children regardless of income.

      A good friend of mine took in about $50 a month back in the 1970s.

      This was her “fun” money that she spent on herself.

      I believe Canada meant it to be spent on expenses for the raising of the children but you know how that goes.

      There are about 6 millions (US Citizen Felons) who cannot vote and over 20 million (and growing at 50,000-60,000/month+) illegal immigrants felons whom the Democrat Party wants to give the vote, especially in TX and FL. Get smart people this is not about US Citizen Felons.

        I don’t see anything wrong with wanting to know first-hand what these silly people are saying. Refusing to pay attention just makes us dumber. IMO, Fox should have each of those candidates for one town hall each so they can be fact-checked and recognized for the commies that they are.

          Ideally, yes, Sherri….but I do see Buttigieg as employing a much smoother style of dishonesty than the others. A coworker (who I would describe as a persuadable independent) just commented on how she found him eloquent, convincing and “fairly moderate” in last night’s town hall.

          She really could not see how slimy and obfuscating many of his answers were…or how far left he really is.

            I never heard Obozo speak without hearing it as plodding, platitudinous, hypocritical and gratingly egotistical. But to this day there are those who still believe his “soaring rhetoric” meant that he was a good speaker/writer/person/politician.

            Sneaky Mayor Pete should concern us, he is said to speak seven languages “conversationally” and play the piano. He hides his fascist tendencies under a young man’s pretense of new and creative ideas, and South Bend Indiana results seem to vary greatly according to who is doing the reporting.

            His perversion will endear him to those for whom an outside the norm characteristic is more important than retaining America as a Constitutional Republic.

            BTW, he was on Hannity’s radio show last week. Hannity asked him how on earth Jews could vote Democrat. The reply was that a great many American Jews do not really care about Israel. (Apparently they don’t differentiate personal responsibility for charity from forced redistribution of assets.)

      Nice, brief, accurate take on authority granted to the Federal government that many Americans don’t seem to realize. Big takeaways:

      1. Article VI, clause 2 of the Constitution: “This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.”

      This is known as the Supremacy Clause. Many folks mistakenly interpret this as Federal laws are supreme to State and local laws because they ignore “… shall be made in Pursuance thereof.” Any laws not made in pursuant to the Constitution….or laws/policies that issue authorities NOT enumerated to the Federal government are NOT LAWFUL…are null & void.

      Our Framers specifically addressed this via the 10th Amendment when they wrote: “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

      2. We do NOT have Constitutional rights….instead we have God-given or Natural rights. I realize to some this is simply semantics…but words matter. Constitutional rights would come from Man and memorialized on parchment…thereby amendable by Man and revisable.

      Our rights come from our Creator. As such, they can NOT be amended or taken by Man. And our Framers made a point to ensure that the “Bill of Rights” was not to exclusively enumerate our Rights via the 9th Amendment: “The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.” Meaning we have numerous Natural Rights.

      Bottom line: the powers of the Federal government are limited and defined, whereas the authorities of the States and freedoms of We the People are vast and undefined.

    I read earlier that Brennan is going to brief the Socialist Dems/Communists in Congress on Iran. Anyone who believes that is really pushing the boundaries of common sense. He is obviously giving them tactical plans to remove AG Barr and the President.

    They are caught and they know it.

    I would venture to say that their plans are straight from the shadow government of former President Obama who has been meeting with European heads of state and I would also think China.

    I am writing this with the knowledge that better minds than mine have already figured this out. But, Treepers need to be ready for the onslaught.

        I represent that post! I live in a “trailer park”, have lived in a # over the years.

        There ARE people who live in trailer and rv parks, at both ends of the economic spectrum, and everywhere in between

        Plenty with motorhomes costing over $100,000, others with diesel trucks and 5th wheels, price tag at least as high.

        The assumption that people who live in ‘trailer parks’ are ‘americas poorest’ is simplistic elitism.

        Many retirees, children grown, etc. sell their house, buy RV, and become ‘snow birds’, traveling from Canada, Wyoming, montana to Az. Or Florida in Winter.

        For 6 mos. of the year, Quartzite, Az. becomes the second largest city in Az.
        When summer comes, it empties out, down to about 600 true, year round residence.

        For many, its a lifestyle choice. Sure, some are people of ‘limited means’, on ‘fixed incomes’, social security, military ‘pensions’, but the image/idea of ‘white trailer trash’ is a stereotype, and like any stereotype, innacurate.

          The small farm town I grew up near in Arizona has had a huge booming business in “”Winter visitors” in the last thirty years and it has been a very very good thing for Arizona economically.

          I have seen a lot of those Park models and RV’s that you write about and they are very luxurious. And not at all cheap.

          The RV and motor home parks are very nice and usually have several pools and expensive club houses for the residents.

          A lot of these snowbirds have decided to settle down in Arizona all year round.

          Lots and lots of “seasoned citizens” there now which is a good thing considering all of the illegals who have flooded the state during the same time period.

          If not for the senior citizens moving to Arizona full time in the last thirty years, Arizona would be completely over run by illegals who are probably voting now.

          As you point out “trailer trash” is a stereotype that just does not fit anymore.

        Quit providing water taxi service on the Rio Grande. Let some of the people get discouraged and turn back or decide not to try to cross. The more the Border Patrol takes them onboard, the more people, often with children, will try to cross the river.

        Contract out river patrol to the Texas DPS. It is said that no one attempts to cross while the Texas DPS boats are on the water.

    Even if the Communists get excoriated for this latest travesty, you can bet they will never give up on their plans to take over this country. They have been working on this for five or six generations. They are committed to their cause and always will be. And, they still have plenty of ammo to fire before we will get any of them into a courtroom for this latest abomination.

    Really struck me today when I looked at a British timeline of Russiagate. First entry was June 2016 and the hiring of Christopher Steele by Fusion. Second entry was July 2016 regarding “sources begin to report back to Steele about Kompromat” Here is the document

    I know that all CTH readers have seen this information hundreds of times over the last 2 years. For some reason I processed it in a more semidetached way this morning. Maybe it was because the Fusion involvement was NOT presented as ongoing since the Free Beacon had hired them during the Republican primaries. For whatever reason my context was different today.

    Put simply, Christopher Steele gets money from Fusion to compromise Candidate Donald Trump and within a month he has the compromising information. No crime or evidence just money. Then consider that this dossier was the beginning of a cover up, and that Brennan’s working group had been investigating with all U.S. Government resources since April 2016

    Investigators need to see Fusion’s contract with Perkins Coie and Christopher Steel/Orbis’ contract with Fusion. Oh, the roster of Brennan’s task force might be interesting too.

    As I’m watching this morning’s Fox & Friends show I DVR every day, I see them discussing the Buttgig’s Town Hall he was on yesterday. Apparently he criticized some Fox News prime time hosts (probably Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity among them) at the town hall. It takes some amount of buffoonery to accept an invitation to a national network TV show, then criticize their most popular show hosts.
    I didn’t watch it, but from what I heard, once again the live audience was comprised entirely of Buttgig supporters just as the Bernie town hall was with his supporters. Not worth watching, especially when the audience enthusiastically claps at every rehearsed line he throws out.

      He named Laura and Hannity, and then used quotes taken out of context to ridicule them. He accused Ingraham of saying that those fenced detention pens were just like a “summer camp.” I remember her saying that. She said that compared what she’d seen around the world, they were like going to a summer camp. Wallace didn’t say a word. He said it as Fox went to a break. I thought when they came back live, one of his producers would have fed him the entire quote in his ear, but no.

      I was also sure he’d ask him why when Mike Pence had been so nice to him over the years, he attacked his religious beliefs. Nope. Not a word. There must have been a contractual agreement about what things he couldn’t ask.

There are many who feed off that dependence who are wealthy: Bankers, pawn shops, cash express, lawyers, mafia, unions, gangs, bars, junk food sellers, sellers of drugs, cigarettes, booze, bars, “entertainment”, prostitution.

      We need to develop programs that promote self sufficiency in a productive society. Government programs that promote themselves by encouraging others to be dependent, and that are built by inflating dependency need to be cut.

      I caught that too. We don’t want illegals here, but we can’t have anybody keeping them from getting jobs. he’s totally rolling us on this issue. That portion of the interview is very unsatisfying
