  1. At Real Clear Politics today, on list is an article by Byron York in DC Examiner “Glass one quarter full” despite title is most cognizant description of VSG Trump actions and plan – bottom line 4 sources of money and only the 4th source is under Emergency declaration and will spend money sequentially – I. e. -first – appropriated 1.375 from Bill , second confusicated drug money held for ICE 600 million , third, 2.5 billion from reallocated military money. ( that adds up to nearly 4.5 billion ) And then fourth – Emergency declartion money of 3.6 billion – to get up to total of 8 plus billion They will fight him on all 4 but 3 of 4 already approved/ appropriated – VSG is a builder and hopefully knows now how to deal with phonies ( the Turtle etc) as well enemies in front of him .

Its been the foxes “guarding” the henhouse, all along. IF a Congressman/Senator does anything to p.o. the leadership, they ‘spank’ them by starting an investigation.

Look at Nunes. This along with committe assignments and chairmanships, and access to Congressional Campaign committe funds, is how the Uniparty insures its members ‘tow the line’.

And, this is just the levers we know about. Highly likely the DWS Awan non-scandal involved collecting blackmail info, as additional incentive to get Congressmen to vote a,certain way, insure an investigation goes no where, etc.

          Corrupticons, thy name is CONGRESS.

Please don’t apologize for using a phrase that everyone knows is not an ethic slur. This is playing into the cultural marxist’s hands.

If you feel you must have some sort of disclaimer, please consider using it as an opportunity to point out the PC cultural marxist game plan. For instance maybe this would be better:

“Disclaimer: everyone knows that the saying above has been in existence since before all living people were born. Cultural marxist PC social justice warriors may claim that it is a racist saying, but it is not. It is racist to suggest that the saying is motivated by racism.

Henry might be referring to the left’s view of racism when he says whites have power. The left believes that it’s not that any given white person has a position of power, it’s that because they are white they automatically have power and privilege over everyone else. It’s stupid, but that is what they believe and what kids are being taught these days.

Washington Post: Democrats Hid Their Border Security Wins from Trump

    https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2019/02/15/washington-post-democrats-hid-their-border-security-wins-from-trump/

Democratic leaders directed their deputies on the 2019 border security panel to hide their negotiating victories from President Donald Trump, according to the Washington Post.

The Post reported on the border deal:

“Democrats, privately, were amused but made a conscious decision not to gloat — concerned that if they celebrated what they considered a victory Thursday they might anger Trump enough to veto the deal.

One conferee summarized the instructions from Democratic leaders: ‘Don’t poke the bear.'”

The Democrats’ 2019 win came after Senate leader, Sen. Chuck Schumer got Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell in January to delegate immigration policy to the top leaders on the House and Senate appropriations committees.

The decision was a tactical win because it allowed Democratic immigration experts — including Vermont Sen. Patrick Leahy — to corner the top two GOP appropriations leaders. The GOP appropriations leaders care little about Trump’s immigration priorities, the impact of minor legal changes on migration patterns, or the voters’ preferences on immigration policy because their focus is on spending money.

In an article headlined “How Schumer and McConnell kept Trump out of the shutdown talks,” Schumer boasted to Politico:

“I said, ‘Here’s my proposal to you. Let’s do a conference committee. They are good at it, they get along, they’ve done the other six budget bills, they can do this,’” Schumer recounted in his office Thursday as a months-long funding crisis was concluding. “And he accepted. And I think that paved the way to getting this done.”

Also, Trump’s liaison deputies did not push Trump’s immigration priorities into the legislators’ negotiating room, Politico reported. Instead, GOP Sen. Richard Shelby, who heads the Senate’s appropriations panel, periodically briefed Trump on negotiations.

McConnell’s agreement with Schumer is just one way in which the Democrats’ 2019 win was aided by GOP leaders.

Those GOP leaders also saved the deal once Trump realized his priorities were being discarded.

Trump does not need to play 4d chess. The new article above is trash how do we know? because we know habits.

News media will never say Trump won even if he does win. If they can spin it as a lose they will.

If dems really won they would not have news media quietly saying they tricked POTUS they would be running around high fiving themselves and dancing in the streets. Talking about how so much smarter they are.

The only people on the “right” who think Trump lost are never Trumpers who claim to be experts. People listening to the new Narrative, Or those outside the circle.

If POTUS lost people Like Gorka and others who where or are in the White House would be upset and yet they from what I can tell are the opposit and rather happy with how things turned out.

The bill last until September then everything but the money for wall expires as the money will have been spent.

The Bill was never about immigration reform to get hung up on that is to move the goal posts.

most all the poison pills in the bill are being ignored as Legislative overreach. (See Whitehouse statement below)

The declaration is Ironclad and backed by Congressional passed law. (See texts of Law below)

National Emergency powers are very powerful and justification rest entirely with the President. (again see links to laws below)

He should have -LIED- and said he WAS going to sign the bill, then NOT veto it but just not sign the bill, letting it become a pocket veto after 10 days and forcing the RINOs to 2/3 override it thereby EXPOSING them for the slime they are.

The only reason those RINO scumbags felt safe in voting against this bill was because they knew it would win anyway and that PDJT was going to sign it. What are they going to do when he then doesn’t? REVERSE their previous vote during the 2/3 override vote? Scumbags…

Then, by NOT signing the bill he puts himself in a better position in the SCOTUS for declaring a national emergency to fund the wall against a bill -HE- didn’t sign instead of SIGNING a bill into law and then declaring a national emergency to override only PARTS parts of it which is, effectively, are line item vetoes by proxy, line item vetoes already having been nixed by the SCOTUS.

He is in solid SCOUTS position now… if you would just read the actual laws I keep citing you could see it in the text that it is extremely clear it is up to the Presidents discretion to Declare an Emergency and that this was a law passed by congress.

Congress even has mechanisms in the law to cancel the declaration if they disagree without having to sue.

A lawsuit is a last resort a Judge is going look at that and go why are you not using the provision in the law that allows you to cancel it then? The answer is because less then 2/3rd in both the house and Senate think the President is within his right to make the deceleration.

Enviro groups already lost in the 9th challenging the wall POTUS has already been building.

Landowner are not allowed to sue the Federal over government use of their land. They can only sue over the value offered in eminent Domain seizure.

Actually, I was wrong. A pocket veto is only useful if done after CONgress has adjourned.

                https://history.house.gov/Institution/Presidential-Vetoes/Presidential-Vetoes/

Then he should have just vetoed it. We’ll see what the SCOTUS says about doing what they have already nixed, line items vetoes, BY PROXY which is effectively what declaring a national emergency to override just PARTS of a bill he just signed into law is doing.

Also, his recent public comment that he really didn’t NEED to declare a national emergency to do what he wanted to do doesn’t help his case either.

This is an INCREDIBLY interesting and absolutely MONUMENTAL and HISTORIC case for the SCOTUS and I cannot believe that at least Fox isn’t covering that.

I disagree. A president has every right to “evolve” according to changing circumstances. If congress irresponsibly plays with fire no court will deny the president authority to call both, the local and adjacent fire departments,

The way I see it, PDJT expected congress to approve reasonable funding to deal with the national emergency that’s rapidly brewing. Congress failed miserably; thus PDJT had no resort but to declare a national emergency to fulfill his legitimate responsibilities. It’s called National Security, right?

BTW, how many times did Zero claim he had evolved after doing the opposite of what he had promised. And who opposed him? Didn’t Zero also evolve and sign an illegal E.O.. (DACA) violating existing immigration law?

Let them have their talking points , in the meantime ,DHS and ICE continue their work within the framework of the LAW that already exists and can ignore the funding limitations in the bill by using funds of the previous funding to still implement deportations etc etc . And on the overnight radio I heard the statement from WILLIAM WELD, the former “Republican” Governor of Massachusetts about his making an “exploratory committee” for trying a Republican 2020 run for the Presidency.
I thought it was a joke until I heard Weld say that POTUS is “too unstable” to hold the office of President.
WATCH this “POTUS is too unstable” meme to make its way into the PUBLIC discussion among the GOP elites. Am sure it’s been part of the “internal” discussion for some time.
WATCH to see if the upcoming GOP elites PUBLIC discussion of this meme starts getting reflected in the fundraising numbers. Which would also mean that the discussion is circulating through the RNC. Remember that RONNA MCDANIEL is also Mittens’ niece. And Mittens has his sights on 2020 too.

Oh, I’ll take your word for it, but what is supposed to be done can be very different from what is actually done because of too-limited manpower. As an example, people who overstay visa should be tracked down and deported but they aren’t:

          https://www.npr.org/2019/01/16/686056668/for-seventh-consecutive-year-visa-overstays-exceeded-illegal-border-crossings

“…people who overstayed their visas accounted for 62 percent of the newly undocumented, while 38 percent had crossed a border illegally.

“It is clear from our research that persons who overstay their visas add to the US undocumented population at a higher rate than border crossers. This is not a blip, but a trend which has become the norm”

Of course, this news was revealed by lefty NPR to make the totally illogical “point” that because visa overstays are more numerous than illegal border crossings that a wall isn’t justified, but I show it as an example of what SHOULD be done versus what IS done.

Meaning challenges to emergency order by those claiming to be hurt cant actuly prove being hurt because they have not done anything yet with the money involved.

Feds left it for them to mange and they did not mange a thing. One of the reasons it took so long for Federal aid was the Gov of Louisiana at the time was unreachable for 24 hours they where basically hiding.

Do not get me start on the Mayor of New Orleans that was worse.

I lived in NOLA and worked there and waded through the water with my LEA and also on military duty. The levee walls were erected incorrectly, had they not been the poor maintenance/inspection by the Levee Board wouldn’t have mattered. The Levee Board was also incapable of doing much more than bandaid work anyway, there was no way that they could have rectified the problems that caused the 17th Street Canal wall to collapse.

I spent a few months in the building right on Vets that sits at the Canal and Vets, I looked out daily at those walls and we unknowingly joked about the consequences of a waii failing right about where it did.

I’m also very familiar with the wall in the Lower 9th that breached, I have pictures of the barge that came through the breach and landed on top of a school bus parked below the breach point. The question there was ‘did the wall breach due to it being undermined, did the barge hammer through or both. That’s despite Spike Lee’s continuing the age old canard of the Evil Blue-Eyed Devil dynamiting the levees.

One of the (conveniently) lost ironies of the flood was the 17th Street Canal breach was in the backyard of a civil engineer who, in the weeks before Katrina, reported springs of cold water containing sand popping up in his yard. As there’s no natural sand in NOLA within 200 feet of the surface and there were no water lines in any of the backyards of houses along the levee it had to be water coming from the canal. The Levee and city folks came out to loom at it but blew it off until, weeks later, the pressure of the increased water levels in the canal pushed over the panels that were already undermined.

The Corps replaced the breached panels, and some others, with the proper T-post panels and reinforced the entire length of the canal to, we hope, prevent this again. On a less positive note there was leakage along the street parallelling the canal post-reconstruction and the Corps managed it by throwing dirt over it and not allowing any construction on the property between the levee and the road it leaked on. Let’s see what happens next time.

One of the things no ones mentioning is the walls connection to the I-35 and Baja initiatives.

As soon as those new Mexican ports are built and the customs ‘inspections’ of goods bound for the US are done in Mexico, not here, those corridors will be a freeway to the country’s heart. The California route that will be used by trains will be especially hard to police. An increasingly Rat congress will not be increasing ICE/BP staff (if they don’t cut it more) but a wall will allow DHS to redirect personnel to more deeply check these incoming trucks and trains for contraband.

Something else is Trump’s discussion on death penalties for drug, especially opiate, dealers. As I posted elsewhere in a reply our border patrol made two very notable fentanyl busts in the last year: one in Nebraska was for 120 pounds, one in Arizona for 254 pounds. Now that Nebraska bust held enough fentanyl to kill. the government estimates, about 26-MILLION people, the Arizona bust could have killed about 55 MILLION people. There’s more coming in that we don’t catch, as it’s not hard to find, and we’re not even talking about the heroin – and there ain’t that many addicts here.

Let’s say that an enterprising Moslem terrorist type gets his hands on a pound or so and has access to any one of a number of dispersal devices and a large crowd venue…see where I’m going here and why we need ac wall? Next question is why, in light of the opioid crisis the Rats are still so keen on an open border?

As the technology to detect contraband in cargo has continued to improve, it is logical to conclude that the wall-less areas became easier smuggling routes.

For example: The Disney World locations all have walls to keep out free loaders!

Euro Disney checks every bag you bring inside with a scanner. A scanner that can tell what brand of wine you are trying to sneak inside. Of course it can distinguish between water and wine, but Moët vs Mad Dog too! So don’t try to stiff them out of alcohol sales to a walled-in crowd!

What we’re looking at is the Chinese port at Long Beach closing and huge replacement ports being built in Mexico. We’re not talking one train with a hundred cars, more like dozens of trains stacked behind one another, each with a hundred or more cars.

As for the I-35 you’re talking hundreds of US and (largely) Mexican 18-wheelers lined up in special lanes at the checkpoints. The US distributors at the transfer points aren’t going to want delays so they will lean on their Congressjerks at every little problem. You can bet that as much as the much as the government and business thinkers thought this through the cartels have thought it through just as thoroughly,

Here’s the Reps’ dilemma as described in that article:

“If they back Trump’s emergency declaration, many lawmakers worry, they will be greenlighting a White House power grab that infringes on Congress’s constitutional power over spending. But if they oppose it, they risk attracting the wrath of Trump’s political base — and perhaps a primary challenge.”

The issue is that if the SCOTUS approves the validity of what he did when he declared a national emergency to override PARTS of a bill he just signed, effectively being line item vetoes by proxy with line item vetoes already having been nixed by the SCOTUS, then this can be done by any prez in the future, Rep or Dim.

If the SCOTUS doesn’t approve of his actions then based upon what is in the bill he signed, we are screwed with respect to immigration. And BESIDES the wall, there are MANY other things that need to be done to prevent massive importation from 3rd world cultures that vote 70-80% from permanently shifting US majority political demographics to the left. So, if we can’t even get a freaking WALL built, we are totally screwed.

You’ve got to be kidding. All Obama did for 8 years was trample their “constitutional power” and they did NOTHING. What a degrading farce.

Regardless, this is all very sad. Trump’s signature issue was immigration. Two years after his election he’s backed into a national emergency declaration replete with enough legislative glop to choke a whale (the very thing he campaigned against, and railed against after the Omnibus), and three week after he boasted “just wait until February 15th.” We waited.

If he’d been truly serious, it would have been one of his first actions after his inauguration. This would have caught the democrats on their back feet, and fired up the base to the point RINOs would have been scared. It would have been a fight, but the fight, the need to have the fight, is why he’s there, why he wanted to be there, why we put him there.

I’m not seeing the fight anymore. I’m seeing capitulation to the great beast of the system. You can argue that this is politics, this is life, he’s working with what he’s got, he’s hamstrung, etc. I still don’t see the fight, except in rhetoric at rallies.

I think POTUS has said that he was given bad advice to go after BarryCare as his first order of business after entering office.

The problem is that Paul Ryan and the rest did not want to help. They wanted to obstruct. They lied to POTUS. Sadly, it worked. And here we are.

It’s a “try to make lemonade out of lemons” scenario. Given what POTUS has had to endure — a coup attempt admitted to by McCabe, as well as the full obstruction of the GOPe by people like Ryan — I’ll take it. Certainly not what we wanted or hoped, just like with Thumbs Down McClown on BarryCare, but it’s a path forward.

It’s a start. And it looks like a well-planned start, also. That is, a move that had some good legal and political minds involved in the task.

MAGA Nation loves the wall. Unfortunately, Uniparty Nation does not. And they have the levers of power.

But, let’s say, maybe POTUS builds 200 miles of Wall with this move. Border is 2000 miles? That’s 1/10th of the job done (even though some of the border area does not need wall because of natural barriers.

I’m ok with incremental steps. I would love for the entire Wall to be built in the next year. But I’ll take progress where I can get it, especially when it is so clear that the Uniparty does not want 1 inch more of Wall to be put up.

We’re winning. It just might be a longer fight than we hoped.

The first argument is on its face rideculess. Congress gave POTUS the power it can not be a power grab when congress laid down and let the Executive have it in the first place. (the LAw has been on the books since sept of 1976!)

HE is not overriding a law that is not how declarations work it is not a VETO ether. Stop thinking like it is some veto that is not legally what is happening.

What POTUS is doing is following a Law that allows him to ignore other laws. POTUS is not canceling or vetoing the Law Congress is authorizing the executive to ignore other laws. Finnaly It is a law that says you can ignore other Laws that is not a VETO.

VETO cancels bills from BECOMING laws.

Congress creates exception to laws all the time.

SCOTUS is not going to vote against him. It is a Legislative law that reaffirms an Executive power which means two branches of government working in tandem that is the exact way the Government is supposed to work.

Is all of this perfect, as in what we wanted? No. But you’ve got to do something, and POTUS is trying to do that, IMO. After going to the mat for the longest shutdown in US history.

Politics is almost never clean or pure. It’s mostly ugly half-wins and 1-step-foward, 1-step-back measures. Even Barry had to go through Armageddon and cost many Dem seats to barely squeak out BarryCare. And it’s even harder to get much done when both “sides” of the Uniparty clearly don’t want it done (and the Uniparty wants open borders, not a wall).

Yeah, I think we all feel that this is a critical issue. As POTUS has said, the Dems have been insistent on not giving POTUS a “win” on this. They’ve been dug in hard. And the Uniparty backs them completely. Look at the moronic Koch Brothers, who won’t even back POTUS for 2020 (I don’t think) because he’s not open borders enough, and so forth.

We have to fight this fight. But we can only fight it within certain parameters. I don’t like that, but that’s where it seems we are at now.

It’s like the Progs and the “long march through the institutions” that they did. Over time, you win. If we can do that with the Wall and immigration, I’ll be thrilled. It’s a time sensitive issue, for sure, but I’ll take the wins where I can get them.

That is one amazing piece of twisted political propaganda!

Let me try this one on for size:

If they back President Trump’s constitutional executive right and responsibility to declare a national emergency to protect the country that congress themselves wrote into law, then those lawmakers will be justly thwarting an unlawful power grab by certain power brokers in Congress to ignore their constitutional oath to represent and protect the people of the US.

By the way–I understand the constitution to say that congress is responsible for funding the government. By congress’s own rules/laws that funding should be secured on September 30th. Aren’t they breaking the law when the government is not fully funded by that time? And what law gives them the right to use line item veto to decide what will and will not be funded? (Yes, those are as inanely speculative points of argument as the argument that President Trump’s declaration of a National Emergency is a defacto line item veto.)

The President is obeying and using constitutional law, the other side is using misinformation, judicial over-reach, propaganda and lawfare!

“Today, I have signed into law H.J. Res. 31, the “Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2019” (the “Act”), which authorizes appropriations to fund the operation of a number of agencies in the Federal Government through September 30, 2019.

Certain provisions of the Act (such as Division F, under the heading “Contribution for International Peacekeeping Activities”) would require advance notice to the Congress before the President may direct certain military actions or provide certain forms of military assistance. In signing the Act, I reiterate the well-established understanding of the executive branch that these types of provisions encompass only military actions for which providing advance notice is feasible and consistent with the President’s constitutional authority and duty as Commander in Chief to ensure national security. In addition, Division C, section 527, and Division A, section 516, both restrict the transfer of Guantanamo detainees to the United States. I will treat these, and similar provisions, consistent with the President’s constitutional authority as Commander in Chief.

Numerous provisions could, in certain circumstances, interfere with the exercise of the President’s constitutional authorities to negotiate international agreements (such as Division C, sections 509, 518, and 530; and Division F, sections 7010(c) and 7013(a)), to articulate the position of the United States in international fora (such as Division F, sections 7025(c), 7029(a), (b)(1), 7031(d)(2), 7042(h)(1), 7043(g)(1), 7047(b)(3), 7054(b), and 7060(c)(2)(D), (3)), to receive ambassadors (such as Division F, section 7031(c)), and to recognize foreign governments (such as Division F, section 7047(b)(2)(A)). • There were some articles yesterday from border experts that explain the misconceptions about the so-called “poison pills” in the bill. For example, border towns can’t veto the wall. There only has to be an attempt to work with them on issues they may have, but that is already the procedure. There is also an article from Byron York explaining how there are 4 sources of funding and only one of those based on the state of emergency. There are a lot of moving parts to this and you have to do your own research to understand the reality (while ignoring the hair on fire posts here).

US Steel companies to benefit from wall construction. Some speculated earlier that Cemex (mexican cement company) would benefit most from wall construction. Its looking more like USA steel workers will. Win win for USA.

More reasons why the Rats don’t want a wall…or a war on drugs.

The slow frog-boil process of getting Americans used to drugs as an acceptable, and profitable, way of life continues. Now that we have heavily Rat infested prog states legalizing marijuana as a recreational drug (and they openly call it a drug as part of the inuring process) we’re onward to other drugs as recreational items.

Denver is now looking to legalize psilosybin and the San Francisco Drug User’s Union is out to have the state provide safe and comfortable spaces and clean and inspected drugs for users to, well, use. Sounds silly but ten years ago a state legalizing pot for open recreational use was thought silly too. Can’t wait for that clown to start selling Big Smacks…”hey duuuuuude, you want fried with that?”.

Oh my. I don’t mean to make light of a very sad issue, but if Pelosi is not even willing to acknowledge there’s a problem…

This is the LEADER of the very same people who question PDJT’s mental stability!? Who continually label him “insane”, or “mentally unfit”. Having NO basis but their hatred for, hurt feelings, a/o his disruption of their unconstitutional agendas. It’s a shame they can’t even grasp the basic concept of HYPOCRISY.

[Pelosi wishes everyone a “Happy Thanksgiving” (only it’s Val. Day). She also rambles about “chocolate”, & it being the “Champaign of California”. 😕 Huh?!]

Pretty good story on the Smollett case……funny I knew it was a hoax from the moment I heard he blamed it on Trump supporters. Had an argument with a stupid liberal friend who still thinks this guy is innocent. I am getting to old to deal with liberals.
