Amen Grandma Covfefe. Is it just me or is your list getting longer and longer? 🙂

I think Venezuela is going to be a big deal. Mexico seems to want to support Maduro but I’m not really sure at this point. The wall is actually a national security issue. Jaw dropping that both parties are so intransigent. Selling out your country for a few extra $$$$ or Votes is never a good strategy.

So you “Know” that the President is “disappointed”

          Hmmmm………

And…..he is missing the opportunity to give the speech in front of a large audience?

Ah…….there is television which reaches quite a few people….and his rallies

This is nothing…… Pelosi just wants to argue……a typicalv Dem tactic

Trying to get the President off track on his agenda……

He did not fall for it…….What is so big about the speech anyway?

Tradition…… And do you know what she really wanted?

She wanted him to give it in the Oval Off e or somewhere else so she could give her rebuttal……..wait for it….

          In the House Chamber…….Ha….

She does not have the intelligence or the grace to beat our President and for someone to say he is “disappointed” is “disconnected” to how our President operates…..

          Have a nice day…….

I don’t expect the ‘ drug economy ‘ – users and dealers – to just go away ! Market forces are going to drive street costs up and users will have to raise more cash to maintain their habit. I’d predict a short-term rise in crime – particularly violent crime – as drug stashes dry up .

Heroin being suddenly cheap and plentiful is what brought about the crisis.
People who would never in their lives thought of shooting up were suddenly confronted with the new “in” thing.
The MSM has been trying to conflate this new, and I think deliberately engineered, wave of addiction with the prescription pain killer issue, as the “opioid” crisis.
          This is false.
This is I believe to distract from where the massive amount of heroin are coming into the country.
I have read rebuttals claiming that most of the heroin is not coming in through the untended areas of the border.
The fact is, there is no way to measure that.
We have had waves of drugs that suddenly disappeared before.
We need to stop the rate of new addiction in its tracks.

My cousins son is getting out of prison this month. He’s a 20 year old kid who avoided a 10 year prison sentence by agreeing to spend the first part of his sentence in an inpatient drug treatment center. He spent six months in treatment and a year in prison.

This is his second stint for breaking and entering. He comes from a decent family that have money, but they won’t give him money for drugs. How did he get hooked on heroin? Going to high school parties, the kind where kids used to drink a few beers. Now they are smoking pot and shooting up.

This is in a small rural area. His family had no idea this was even possible let alone how to deal with it. Heroin just started flowing in out of what seemed like nowhere five years ago. The state is playing catch up trying to deal with this group of adults who turned to crime after becoming addicts in high school.

My point is the crisis is already here. We might as well cut off the supply so at least the ghouls are no longer making their blood money off of our young people.

What bothers me is that I knew there was all of a sudden massive amounts of heroin around, at bargain prices.
          This is the foreseeable result.
If even I knew this, our intelligence agencies, you know, the ones that take away our civil liberties to “keep us safe” had to know this ticking time bomb was being planted amongst our more vulnerable young people.
Kids today don’t seem to understand just how dangerous heroin is.
Not when they see it being passed around at parties with their friends.
If they had to crawl in dark places to go get it, to sample it in the first place, they never would have touched the stuff.

Drones are an easy an very fast way to identify where someone has crossed the border, or is about to cross.

Then assets can be directed to that area.

          Versus having just human patrols.

Of course drones must be used in combination with other assets.

Using just drones alone, shows a lack of detailed planning.

        Nope….As I stated above….this was a great move.

Nancy is not a very intelligent person, nor are the Democrats.

This all has to do with causing as much chaos and sidetracking as possible up until the 2020 election.

Two things to consider in this…..or two and a PS.

First: The State of the Union is a “Tradition”. The State of the Union was once just sent by letter to Congress.

The President wanted to “maintain” this tradition but Pelosi wanted to make it a never ending battle.

Ok…….So now my PS……. So the President just “took the Lumps out”

No big deal…….He wanted to maintain tradition, she did not….so he will wait

Second: The President could give the SOTU from anywhere……but…..

Then where do you think Pelosi would give her rebuttal from?

The House Chamber…….Then she would seem to be Presidential…

He beat her again……The whole thing is a nothing burger which she just wanted to continue….

You ever been in a conversation with someone and all they want to do is argue?

Now she is just sitting in her little corner trying to figure out what to do next.

Typical negotiations tactic……”Sometimes you just have to walk away”

        Our VSG…….Have some popcorn…..have a beer…..

        Now she’s just blabbering

I say, give the shut down time to work it’s impacts on all those Dem workers. Their only move now is to create an incident, and that reduces them to violence in some form.
The Dem workers are going to be screaming at Pelosi and Schumer with each missed pay period. They are being bankrupted over a piss hole in the snow, 5.6 billion dollars.
I see no down side, especially with new hordes of invaders approaching.
Soon enough, the government oriented Unions are going to go into rebellion, they do not want to lose members or listen to those members scream about their lost income.
Stay right on track, and leave the door open to negotiation.
          Well played, Mr. President.

Ya know….I have not commented on Barr yet, but just throwing this out there…..

With the President and this nomination of Barr, I may be wrong, but there seems to now be a pattern here.

Gen. Flynn…..Admiral Rodgers…..and now Barr…..after watching that video it seems all of them were very deep in the NSA and intelligence services……

So why would the President hire/nominate/ communicate with them?

I believe the President does know / will know everything.

Barr’s nomination may be for the President to have access to all the information. Gen Flynn was obvious, so they went after him.

But who better to nominate as AG than than someone who practically invented the NSA spying operation….and….who was good friends with Mueller?

He knows where all the bodies are buried……know all about Mueller and our President is not stupid regarding these issues now…..

If approved, the President will have access to quite a load of information……..I believe that is why Barr is giving such millque toast answers…..just to get thru.

            Just throwing it out there……

I totally agree with you, Gunny. Who would you want at your side when addressing a deeply embedded shadow government but the ones who have experience designing it? FDR and, later, Truman were fools to let the Dulles brothers and their buddies build the OSS and CIA into ruthless power houses beholden to no one but their secret cabal. Hoover was no better; my late neighbor worked for him long enough to see the agency weaponized solely to control anyone who interred with the J Edgar power structure. Corralling the Mafia and other criminals was secondary when so mcch crime began at the top..

We have a problem that seriously endangers the very essence of the U.S. Constitution with so many players — domestic and international — that even Silicon Valley’s best and brightest couldn’t track them, but then again, they don’t want to as their very funding comes from all the multi-levels of intrigue.

Shudder the thought that someone other than PDJT would be in this job right now when our former administrations had left us at such disastrous risk of killing of all individual rights and the rule of law..

    The Wall

The crime rate falls bigly when you build a wall
Makes good sense to most, but, sadly, not all
Walls are protection; tall, wide and sound
Walls keep out bad guys the world around

Dimms don’t like walls and they use many lies
To keep their true motives very well disguised
They say it’s the money, but we all know
That 25 billion isn’t that much dough

They say walls don’t work, but it’s true, for sure
Very few get past them; walls make you secure
They say walls just aren’t what we should stand for
But walls protect their homes, their children, and more

The truth is that Dimms have all sold their votes
They’re against fences and walls, even moats
Anything that would work to stem the tide
Anything that would work, they don’t want tried

Maybe it’s cheap labor to work in our fields
Or butlers and maids for the more well heeled
We don’t need aliens and problems they bring
We’ve got workers who can do anything

Dimms say the wall is immoral, a sin
But they just don’t want Trump to get the win
The wall stands for Trump, a promise he made
If they can stop that, they think he’ll just fade

Dimms welcome aliens by land, air or boat
They think their welfare will buy their vote
Dimms don’t care about the problems that come
Murders, drugs, disease and living in slums.

It’s all about power, to get and keep
And wealth and fame, to be top of the heap
Dimms think they know best, what you should do
All that you should say, and what to think, too

Their view of life, to them it sounds grand
But they are in charge while we work the land
They want full control of society
And don’t care that people need to live free

Without a border there’ll be no new dawn
Our way of life changed; our blessed country gone
Control of our border is what we need
And America First if we’re to succeed

PTrump knows the way to reach all our goals
And we have our parts, all kinds of roles
But together we run, or maybe plod
One people, one flag, and one holy God

Extending the wall will be challenging and time consuming. Will President Trump speed it up??

    Interesting article.

Daily Herald: Build the wall? It could take at least 10 years, even with 10,000 workers

“…And the project’s massive price tag comes with its own constraints. The construction industry’s rule of thumb, Zarenski said, is that it takes 5,000 to 6,000 workers a year to build $1 billion worth of construction. But you can’t fit them all on one job site. For a project like the border wall, you would want to have dozens of different sites going at once.”

“Zarenski calculated how fast the work could go — assuming 10,000 workers spread equally over 50 sites. Then, they could build 37 feet of border wall each workday at each site — about 1,850 feet each workday across all the sites.”

“Even if these huge crews broke ground today, they would finish just 86 miles of border wall by year’s end. By Election Day 2020, 161 miles of border wall would be done. It would take 11 years to reach 1,000 miles. And that’s assuming 10,000 workers going all at once, five days a week.”

**”…In October, the Trump administration touted the completion of about two miles of steel-slat and concrete border wall near Calexico, California, as the first section of the president’s hoped-for border wall. The project had been planned since 2009 and replaced an existing barrier. And it still took eight months from contract award to completion.”**

“37 feet of border wall each workday at each site” and each site would have 200 workers.

I think this rate is unrealistically low. The ditch is dug simply by a big ditcher, lines of trucks have already prepositioned piles of wall sections, sections of wall are placed, fastened and stabilized in the ditch, concrete trucks fill the ditch around the wall sections, then a grader finishes it up neatly.

All of those are simple, independent actions, but coordinated. 37 feet per day is just way too slow. We have miles and miles of recently completed wall. Anyone have a handle on how 37 feet per day compares with the reality of completed lengths of wall?

I understand. But why did 2 miles take 9 months?

I wish Dr. Bill Wattenburg were still alive. Nuclear engineer, Apollo scientist, Physics professor, inventor, bulldozer driver, fire fighter and bad ass rabble rouser. He had a late night radio talk show on KGO radio out west for over 20 years. Oh yeah, used to party with Clint Eastwood when young!

(He invented a simple contraption, a chain matrix, to clear land mines in Kuwait.)

Dr Bill advised several US Presidents and Administrations. The aforementioned Kuwait fires were expected to take up to 10 years to put out. Contracts were being written. Dr. Bill instead recommended a bonus system per oil well fire put out, and productive firms were then rewarded with more work. I think we put the fires out in 18 months?

There may be some minimum amount of time required for any government building project, whether it be 2 miles or 2,000 miles. Eg, land acquisition and an owners opportunity to appeal, etc. The 10 year projection might be based on some approach where a section is completed before another is started. Maybe it doesn’t reflect an approach where all sections begin on the same day and are completed in 9 to 12 months.

Islam is the largest Fascist political movement on our planet. It is a misogynistic, totalitarian, enslavement.

If you think that hyperbolic, do a little research on the MB and ask yourself if you would want your , mother, daughter, sister, or female acquaintances subjected to its condescending lunacy? How a movement that shackles 52% of the population thinks it can be ultimately sucessful baffles me.

It would be so easy to “prank” these crazy leftists right back. Go into LA and politely ask customers at Starbucks if they plan to stay for the bible study meeting. Record their “face crimes.”

Better yet, conduct a real bible study meeting in Manhattan to record the Starbucks baristas as they trip over squatters to toss your cracker a$$ out!

You could erect a Christmas tree in any moslem neighborhood and record a very strong reaction. I would suggest that it be a drone recording though.

Yesterday in Washington DC — VSGTrump convenes secret meeting in WH with Sec State Pompeo to “collude” with new Venezuela president to announce support for him MINUTES afterwards. Other Western hemisphere nations join in within hours. Hardest hit — oil investors Russia and China.

The NEXT DAY in Davos — former Sec State Kerry announces that President Trump should resign. Apparently Kerry doesn’t have a WiFi hotspot in his hotel.

YOU CAN’T MAKE THIS STUFF UP

BTW — I had lunch in Davos last August at this lovely hillside restaurant, where my interned USAAF uncle raked hay to earn extra meals duirng WWII :

I suspect President Trump is in a quandary . House Speaker Pelosi, ( his prefered choice I believe) has gone so far out on the Progressive pier she can’t find her way back to reality’s shores sans suffering extreme political consequences ! The reported news on this issue either ignores ( or is oblivious to ) this important sidebar . Trump’s “concessions ” may well be a lifeline thrown to her . Will she grasp it ?

The more moderate Dems will force Pelosi to the negotiating table or out of office at some point. Fox and or POTUS should do daily reports in front of all of houses where these Dems live to show the security that they employ to keep themselves safe.
POTUS should do the SOTU address from the Steps of the Lincoln Memorial.

We are supposed to be adults here who can take differing views. I have spoken to a lot of people in my part of Florida who are Trump voters. They are PO’ed. Extending DACA is sure as h3ll not “ending it on day one.” People are fed up with hearing Spanish everywhere they go. Quincy has become a Mexican town over the last 20 years. It used to be a Black town.

To fail to understand this is a problem for people is to be willfully and pathetically blind.

I am loyal to no man. I trust no man. I “believe” in no man. There are no heroes and no one is here to “save” us. I play on no man’s team. I will not bloody another man’s nose for his opinion of some third-party.

I read the same regarding the construction. What a waste of time and $$ if that is the case.

We need to burn up phone lines (oops my bad, WH comment line is down), we need to send e-mails by the hundreds then.

This is not my idea of “winning” and I agree “you can’t always get what you want” but this is unreal.

We are being invaded by the hundreds daily, and I highly doubt they are being deported nearly as fast.

If PDJT doesn’t do something quickly 2020 will be even harder to win with thousands more illegals voting, which is something else that needs to be fixed pronto.

What happened to his “tweet” that they (voter fraud) will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law?
      *crickets*

Extremely disappointed with so much “winning” it’s getting hard to watch.
I wonder if this has anything to with the less comments lately?

IMO, PDJT was wrong taking credit for the shutdown and then blaming it on the Dems. The media sure played that one up. Whoever his advisors are as of late, need to be FIRED!

Bathhouse Barry seemed to ram his stuff through no problem, and I understand the opposition is much greater for PDJT but he needs to do something, (use his Executive Powers or something) people are getting fed up watching this play out and of course the media is not helping!

He also needs to stop telling his base he’s going to do something and not follow through.
      1) Release FISA docs
      2)Prosecute voter fraud
3)Declare an emergency and build the wall.
I understand there are reasons he held off on some of the above, but stop talking this stuff if you don’t plan to follow through, it makes him just like all the other “politicians!”

Especially disappointed on the SOTU being postponed as well. It makes him look weak, imo.

Goodnight treepers, sorry but I’m beyond disgusted tonight.
