T-Rex: “Around The Globe” End of Year Briefing and Deep Dive on North Korea Policy…

We are so fortunate to have Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.  Stunning mastery of global events, policy, strategy, and diplomatic nuance at both the big and granular levels.

During a keynote address, “Meeting the Foreign Policy Challenges of 2017 and Beyond” at the 2017 Atlantic Council – Korea Foundation Forum, Secretary Tillerson takes the opportunity to provide another eloquent “walk around the globe” outline of current foreign engagements and ongoing U.S. policy therein.  If you watched the first one, you’ll also enjoy this one.

The first 38 minutes consist of T-Rex taking a “jog”, as he put it, around the globe to help everyone understand “what’s going on”.   With simple note cards for reference Tillerson walks through the most important challenges in foreign policy.  The last 20 minutes of the video is also well worth watching because T-Rex goes into great detail on the subject of North Korea and how each angle of nuance plays a part of the larger dynamic.WATCH:

  1. T-Rex is starting to hit his stride. You can bet alot of countries that have previously expected a nod and wink when it comes to following through on their responsibilities are shifting nervously in their seats when Sec. Tillerson makes direct eye contact with them. He’s no Lurch or Pickles, he’s T-Rex and not being prepared for your test is unacceptable to him and the President.

It is amazing the difference that having competent leaders makes. Between bumbling Obama and ‘Name Your Price’ Clinton the perception of the US was in tatters. We have always been a strong nation but the previous regime did everything they could to cut us off at the knees. America is standing confident and strong again.

Eggs-actly. Peacekeepers (grovelling, sniveling, deal-making, people-pleasers) are a dime a dozen. Especially in government.

PeaceMAKERS are those like T-Rex and Mr. President who bring order in the house. As a result, there is peace.

Peacekeepers will simultaneously try to keep everybody happy and drive everybody nuts.

  6. What’s with all this “competent” lingo?

“Competent” is the barely-gets-by label used for Performance Evaluations.

T-Rex is the Titan of Titans among former U.S. Secretaries of State.

Absolutely NONE of them even competently understood, much les scratched the surface in creating and using even PART of the MASSIVE TRIAD of economic leverage from energy-trade-defense that T-Rex is deploying to great effect.

And NONE of them have even conceived of the international relations strategy of TEAMING with PARTNERS to MAKE their OWN NATIONS GREAT.

    • Here’s how predecessor Secretaries of State have rolled:

      • Bribed international leaders
      • Bought countries with pay-for-play annual “donations” to their treasuries
      • Threatened leaders’ lives or side-business livelihoods
      • Incited and funded insurrections
      • Undermined national currencies and economies

      Nothing but HAMMERS.

Never the TRUSTED HELPER to take their LEADERSHIP & NATIONAL games to NEW LEVELS of self-sufficient great governance for the enduring liberty and sustainable prosperity their people.

      Great comment BKR.

Previous admins were no more vested in making other nations great than they were our own. In fact every decision they made took nations further from sovereignty, economic viability, border security, and national identities.

Secretaries of State were enemies of the State.

I thank God every night for Secretary Tillerson.

    • Agreed. Every time I hear him speak or read transcripts of his speeches I am amazed at his ability to “walk” or “jog” around the globe discussing world issues without notes. IMO he is a brilliant intellect that also knows how to get things done. I remember when he accepted the position he related that his wife had told him he’s been training all his life for this job. And what an excellent job he’s doing.

They didn’t want to do any of that stuff, so there was no need for understanding.
A bunch of dead children in Syria served their purposes, even if they had to make them up, so nothing would be done for any refugees.
Notice how the Syrian refugee crisis went away as soon as our president proposed the common sense solution of making them safe and secure closer to home.
If they wanted our nation to be great, it wouldn’t have declined under them, and Donald Trump would be home enjoying his grandchildren.

It is so refreshing to have a STATESman in charge of our State Department instead of a CONman.
Secretary of StateTillerson explains the situations we confront clearly and concisely.
For the first time, I have information that I actually trust about what the problems are in the world and what solutions are being considered.
President Trump and Secretary Tillerson are creating an environment where each sovereign country can take care of their own citizens and interact beneficially with each other.
Instead of using “divide and conquer” methods to create fear and discord; they are using “meet and network” methods to create a more peaceful and prosperous world for all.

Re: the worries that a flood of NK refugees might cross northern borders:

    1) China does not want it. Russia needs more workers/labor shortage. NK are cut off from such information… perhaps naive, but common sense says there is a potential solution here.

    2) The “Western world” insisted all western nations accept refugees from warzones. The Eastern world has never been called “morally corrupt,” even by the West, for refusing to accept refugees. Yet the same Western nations calling for acceptance of refugees speak of the “new WORLD order.” (Seems they really mean a new set of European directed “orders” for what was, in the fifteenth century, termed “The New World” =North and South American continents.)

    Great comments.
Foreign policy SHOULD be accessible to Americans,as the world judges us as a country and not by the actions of a few politicians.
We should not have to be ashamed or unaware of what it is our government is doing in our name.
That’s why much of the ‘developing’ world hates us, and the globalist solution to that hate is to make the American taxpayers buy them off with free stuff.
That’s what the mass migration in Europe was about, buying off the military age men with free stuff.

When I see that picture with Secretary Tillerson, it reminds me of when FDR told a nation it was safe to put their money back in the bank, and the country put its money back in the bank.

Okay, it has been staring me in the face, but it has just now hit me:
This talk of Tillerson fighting with the president to the point of departure.
That was to send a message to any party considering making a deal with tough Secretary Tillerson that he is almost out the door, so hold your horses. The new person will be a globalist stooge pushover.
That’s what that was all about in the MSM. It was like shining the bat signal, but I couldn’t see it.
