POTUS was a rock star last nite on Hannity. Poised and confident which in turn makes us feel the same. Thanks, Sean, for giving President Trump this platform. Keep it up–have him back for live audience interviews or townhall’s once a month!

Note to Congress—do you hear us now? The good folks of PA are locking arms with the rest of we Deplorable Forgotten’s in every state of this Union in agreement that you are a disgusting failure. Get on board or resign.

Note to Media–did you notice that you are so despicable that when asked, folks in PA didn’t even comment beyond the fact you’re Fake. You don’t even rate enough anymore to evoke outrage. You are being ignored, dismissed and nullified. Big league.

Note to NBC–you better grab on to your new best advocate, Sen. Ben Sasse, ’cause once he’s primaried out of office he’ll need a job. You can hire him as a Trump bashing ‘consultant’ or ‘analyst’. It will be a perfect union for both parties.

Loved what Trump said about the football players “taking a knee”. I thought about this the other week. When we face the flag and sing the anthem, aside from honoring the military and our country in general, it is particularly done to honor those who died for us, fighting under that flag representing and defending our country.

So when you use those two minutes to protest racism or whatever they are protesting you are, in effect, interrupting a memorial to a dead soldier in order to showcase your protest. That said, when these football players say their motive for taking a knee isn’t to disrespect the military I believe them, even though that is the end result of their actions.

Their motive is to disrespect our flag which represents our country because they hate America. They do not want to show any respect for America so they disparage the American flag and anthem and don’t care if, at the same time, it disrespects those who have died for us and for our country.

No can do. PDJT allows Special Witch-hunt to continue just so it uncovers things like this. The “evidence” will appear (or be buried) and SW will stop.

BTW, PDJT was great in both the interview and speech. PDJT was relaxed and upbeat. Upbeat throughout the week. He even endorsed another Senatorial candidate.

Agreed, Ditch Mitch (that has a nice ring to it).

Last night’s interview was centered around the tax plan. It was not the situation for dropping any major headlines for the media to exploit.

Hannity and President Trump have been friends for years and it was nice to see the President in a relaxed, comfortable conversation. Having the live audience there giving reaction was something the President needs more of. We’re all still out here, we’re all still as devoted to and energized for this President and his agenda as we were one year ago when we were in countdown mode, beating back lies and phony polling data. Just because the media hammers away everyday, we’re still here, waiting on Congress to do their jobs,

The President needs to be with us and feel our strength. He also needs us to repeatedly contact our reps in the House and Senate and demand they work with our President not against him.

Not happy with the advance team on this. The President is in a fight with the NFL about the flag and national anthem. Hannity gets this interview, on a active military base prior to the speech to the crowd, right? Well… retreat gets sounded during interview. That’s a ceremony on military installations where the flag is taken down for the day. Marked by bugle… you are required to stop what you are doing, come to attention and face wherever the flag is and salute or hand over heart.

I’m not saying the POTUS has to do this, but the fact they didn’t anticipate this… and Hannity and the POTUS joked during it, ( not realizing it’s significance ) needlessly opened the President up to criticism. I do not blame the President for not knowing. He likely hasn’t heard this since military school. I wish Hannity knew. I do blame the advance folks, especially military, that should have known, especially with a live interview…. Mistakes get made and a detail like that , I can see how no one would have thought of it… but it’s just bad.

I’m a Army vet from 30 years ago and I knew immediately what the bugle was sounding… and for the President to joke about what it must be for .. and then for he and Hannity to ignore the rest ( as they clearly didn’t understand what was going on) was just bad. IN the background, you can see part of the crowd stand up ( like you are supposed to).

Too picky? Probably. But with all that’s gone on the last month, this was an unforced oversight and I really wish the President had recognized what the bugle was playing and not talked through it all.

Yeah, too picky, had the Pres stood, gone silent, and faced the flag/bugle sound there would be just a little too much military in that optic, just as well he didn’t know.
Many of the operators around the Pres are ex Generals, there is no doubt about his respect for the military……wise not to make that a religious thing even though it was a mistake.

Very interesting; it was an awkward moment, both Prez and Hannity are huge military supporters and most respectful toward the military.

I’m sure both were appalled after the fact. If they had known beforehand they would have not broadcast during that period.

Bet you anything some heads will roll somewhere for the mistake.

Neither of these men want, in any way, to be or appear to be disrespectful toward the flag.

Goes without saying. Let’s hope the hate media doesn’t pick up on this for if they were to realize the optics they’ll blast the President as a hypocrite, or clueless, if they figure it out.

A legitimate criticism of Trump/Hannity staff. Like being in a classroom during pledge of allegiance and not knowing what is going on. I don’t think this is picky, especially since he’s made such a point about kneeling during NFL anthem. Looked bad. Should have timed the interview differently, or coordinated better with military base. No doubt he will be angry with staff as a result (and should be).

Military traditions and protocols are for the military. The civilian military leadership respond as civilians do, to the flag, to the national anthem and as respectful participants in military ceremonies. They have not been trained by the military and will react as any civilian would. If PTrump had understood he might have reacted differently, but stopping the interview in supplication is not what should have happened.
Middle America has exactly the same reaction as PTrump.
The military is not a religion for civilians….despite what some of it’s office bearers and alumni think.

Military personnel and veterans who are present but not in uniform may salute when outdoors [during reveille and retreat] or stand at parade rest. Civilians should stand at attention and place their right hand – with a hat if they’re wearing one – over their heart. All vehicles on military installations should come to a complete stop and wait until the last note of the music stops. Military members in their vehicles should sit at attention.

However, according to Air Force Instruction 34-1201, 8.1.6.2, Protocol, if the U.S. flag flies for 24 hours and is not being raised or lowered, when reveille and retreat are played, individuals are not required to stop and salute.

The President stopped and said, “Oh, I like the sound of that.” Not the recognition some wanted but he did not ignore it just the same.

My neighborhood is filled with retired military and when we hear Colors at the end of the day broadcast from one of the local military installations while out working in our yards or whatever, none of them stop what they’re doing. Seems maybe the Base Commander is at fault if there actually is any fault to be found here. His Base was entertaining this interview and the speech that followed. Wasn’t it up to him to inform Hannity’s staff and the President’s staff that when 5:00 pm rolled around, he expected everyone to be at attention?

I can appreciate your hurt feelings but wonder what good it does to put it out there as fodder for a hateful media? When I have a concern about anything, I contact the President via http://www.whitehouse.gov One on one, rather than one on millions.

No matter what, this President can’t win for losing. Perfection is demanded, no errors, no slip of the tongue, no off handed remarks, no oversight by staff can be tolerated.

As for noticing that people in the audience stood, I think almost all of them were standing in the first place.

Once you go through it , daily, for months and years, we used to time our movements on whether the cannon had fired yet for colors ( and bugle) . We were “aware”, usually of what time the post flag went up or down, b/c it is set in stone. That’s why someone should have been aware to anticipate colors happening during interview… and that it would be audible in the hanger. Just an oversight and unforced error. It likely will not happen again.

I can say, inside a open-ended hanger like that… its a judgement call, but in the Army ( of my day ) you’d absolutely snap to. That’s irrelevant to my criticism of the advance team.. ( NOT the President). It was him not recognizing it, Hannity not, and joking and continuing the interview during that was the bad optics. That’s all. Bad optics. This didn’t cost the President an ounce of support from vets. No way. It was just an unforced error for the #nevertrumpers and #ignorant of all things miliary MSM to jump on.

Please look at this realistically, most of these DACA people are here for good…except for the gangbangers etc. Trump is the only one who could figure out a way to actually GET something for our side on this. He DID it and now it becomes the libtards problem. THEY are now the ones standing in the way of these “poor Dreamers”…all they need to do is support “the wall”, a concept that has wide public support. Stop saying “we can’t deport” all the DACA people, or we can’t deport 11 million, etc.
That is what Luis Gutierrez and Paul Ryan et al use as a straw argument. If we enforce all the laws and stop the rewards and benefits and illegal jobs and driver licenses and in-state tuition, ad nauseum, then they can stay (until a run-in with LE — DUI, etc) or leave by themselves. Just don’t GIVE them anything — like “legalized residency”!!! Of course, there is no such thing as legalized residency — the day after legalized residency without a path to citizenship is granted, La Raza, Luis, Ryan, Schumer, et al, will DEMAND an end to “second class citizenship. You know it!

The problem with a bad decision on the EIGHTH amnesty since 1986 is that is will never be reversed!. Tax policy can and is changed almost every decade. Even ObamaCare has a chance of being repealed. But once you put human beings on a path to citizenship, that law will NEVER be repealed!! We have to get it right the first time, and any reward of the ill-gotten gains to those who stole them, or to the children of those who stole them, is a guaranteed way to encourage even more future illegal immigration in time for the NEXT mass amnesty in 2018!!!

Would you give the stolen jewels to the children of the burglar??? Why would you use the same crazy policy for the children of the parents who knowingly stole their way into our country?? And where the heck are the PARENTS during this debate??? I want to see some open-borders fan ask the parents why they think their children deserve the fruits of their crime.

BTW — what does “Hire American” mean if we give work permits to hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens??

POTUS promised to end unconstitutional DACA on Day One by repealing Obama’s Executive Action. He has no obligation to let it continue. NONE. Let’s just go back to 2011 status before DACA.

If amnesty doesn’t slow the flow of illegal aliens the first seven times, will it work the eighth time?? If a ship is sinking, we can plug the leak and start bailing, or we can simply declare the incoming seawater to be “cargo”. The Republic is sinking. What will you do?

The Seven Amnesties Passed by Congress

        1. Immigration and Reform Control Act (IRCA), 1986: A blanket amnesty for some 2.7 million illegal aliens

        2. Section 245(i) Amnesty, 1994: A temporary rolling amnesty for 578,000 illegal aliens

        3. Section 245(i) Extension Amnesty, 1997: An extension of the rolling amnesty created in 1994

        4. Nicaraguan Adjustment and Central American Relief Act (NACARA) Amnesty, 1997: An amnesty for close to one million illegal aliens from Central America

        5. Haitian Refugee Immigration Fairness Act Amnesty (HRIFA), 1998: An amnesty for 125,000 illegal aliens from Haiti

        6. Late Amnesty, 2000: An amnesty for some illegal aliens who claim they should have been amnestied under the 1986 IRCA amnesty, an estimated 400,000 illegal aliens

        7. LIFE Act Amnesty, 2000: A reinstatement of the rolling Section 245(i) amnesty, an estimated 900,000 illegal aliens.

There is no one in todays politics that has Trumps bravado and ability to connect to real people, as opposed to those that live in fantasyland. You can feel it.

But it is not just the connection to real people, Trump’s honest love for America and Americans is bolstered by his real understanding of what America business needs.

So, every time Trump connects with America and Americans is a win for him and the country.

Great interview and dynamic between Hannity and the President, he was upbeat and seemingly un-fazed by the swamp. Remember what the Great Regan told us: “The person who agrees with you 80 percent of the time is a friend and an ally — not a 20 percent traitor” this is how I look at the DACA compromise. Though I believe that all invaders should be sent home, in reality it will not happen. Scott Adams has this exactly right, the president is giving away nothing while being able to transfer the onus onto the Swamp on whether the “dreamers…yak” stay. I hate the name dreamers, what a loaded name for a group of criminals, but this doesn’t diminish reality. Stay the course, follow our great Presidents lead, and have faith in God and we will persevere.

    MAGA!

Oh yeah brother, with eyes wide open. Never turn your back on the swamp critters. Do you remember the movie “Live and Let Die.” Where they were going to feed James to the alligators/crocodiles, and the dude began to feed the alligators/crocodiles with chicken parts got them into frenzy. They left James on the island and pulled back the draw bridge, and left James to his demise? Then James took the chicken pieces laying on the little island getting the beast aligned, and ran across their back to safety, President Trump is James in this scene, he lines up the swamp critters, and runs to safety across their backs. They get their chicken parts (DACA) and Trump gets the wall. This will lead to many self-deportations, while forced deportations can move to a gallop. E-Verify, money transfers, tax evasion, WIC, no insurance, Sec-8, amnesty, chain migration… and on and on can be whittled down through attrition. The problem has been allowed to become massive, my guess is there are somewhere between 30-40million, not 11million invaders in our country. This will take time. Trust the President

During the campaign, Trump kept referring to “the lines” of ObamaCare — Finally he’ll EO the lines away! Best news this week dismantling Obama’s massive (by design) transfer of wealth from middle class /upper middle class to previously uninsured poor. The plan was to give working poor  »healthcare” (as the administration encouraged the insurance to be termed) while saddling middle class with CrummyCare.

Here’s an article that sheds light on Trump’s marks at the Boy Scounts! Cultural Warrior Trump strikes again in his own way – trying to keep Boy Scouts for the boys. Go President Trump! Pedal to the medal.

When persons not assigned to a formation are outdoors and in uniform, on the first note of retreat, they should face the flag (if visible) or music and assume the position of parade rest.

Outdoors folks! I have been indoors with officers during retreat and it was business as usual.

Thank you, solomonpal. What was an enjoyable thread turned into a wow is me thread. I haven’t had a chance to watch it, but it appears the president was indoors, and indoors, activities continue. It’s outside that the Colors going up or down, everyone is supposed to stop, military or civilian. There is no big faux pas here, and sorry to see it turned into one.

PS I’m a vet, Navy Nurse, we did not stop our work in the hospital. But certainly stopped when outside on the compound – walking or driving.

Seems too many place too much importance on what progs think about anything when all they should be concerned about is putting our boots to their throats and destroying them. The only morons who listen to the prog flapping gum brigade.are their fellow travelers and minions.

It is enough to know progs hate us and want to destroy not only us and President Trump but America.

What is important to understand, to keep fighting for and to keep defending is that President Trump is one of us, is fighting for us, is fighting to save America.

A thought experiment is in order: if American blacks acted en masse like Asian-Americans for ten years in all things relevant to economic success—if they had similar rates of school attendance, paying attention in class, doing homework and studying for exams, staying away from crime, persisting in a job, and avoiding out-of-wedlock childbearing—and we still saw racial differences in income, professional status, and incarceration rates, then it would be well justified to seek an explanation in unconscious prejudice. But as long as the behavioral disparities remain so great, the minute distinctions of the IAT are a sideshow. America has an appalling history of racism and brutal subjugation, and we should always be vigilant against any recurrence of that history. But the most influential sectors of our economy today practice preferences in favor of blacks. The main obstacles to racial equality at present lie not in implicit bias but in culture and behavior.

yeah, we’re the worst country ever, except for every other nation on earth.
As bad as we’ve been we never wiped out major parts of our own country. We never actually tried or succeeded in wiping out a neighbor country. We didn’t actually wipe out the indigenous people that were already here.
Not like some other ‘nations’ numbering 194.
They can take their racism and put a fork in it. I’m done.

I want to extend a huge thanks to the wonderful men and women of the PA National Guard, who helped with yesterday’s incredible event in Harrisburg. I had the good fortune to attend yesterday’s event, and wish you all could have been there.
Flags were flying, people were happy, those suffering from the hurricanes and forest fires were remembered, as were our hard-working truckers, business owners and “forgotten” men and women. The elements of tax reform have been well-thought out. Now, let’s get this done.

Both Sean and President Trump were outstanding. For that interview, there was no teleprompter, and President Trump spoke with no notes, and he was detailed and on-point through the entire thing. There was only one momentary break for Sean to take a sip of water, and they were back on camera.

The room was filled with folks of all ages, and from all over the state. NO ONE worried about the bugle call while it was going on — just as no one worried about the planes that were taking off and landing while the cameras were rolling.

And of course we all took note of the fake press, don’t worry!

The event was tremendous, and I hope that anyone who thinks they need to add kerfuffle to a great day just stops trying to create noise.

Our US Secret Service and PA National Guard, along with the shuttle bus drivers (Thanks!) and others were helpful, hardworking and great. And oh yes, Air Force One is a sight to see. If I could figure out how to post pics, I’d happily do so!

It’s like sharing a little bit of the birthday cake with people who didn’t get to attend the birthday party!!!

It is wrong to say that the media are “biased” to the left. Bias presumes that the media would at least pretend to be fair to the right. Instead they are openly propagandists for the DNC.

Of the network news and late-night comedy shows, every single one is left-wing.

Most studies indicate that 90% of journalists are liberal.

And remember that liberals have been plotting to destroy right-wing talk radio for decades. Meanwhile left-wing NPR depends on taxpayer funding.
