Sharyl Attkisson Outlines President Trump as DC’s Existential Threat…

Sharyl Attkisson appeared on Tucker Carlson Tonight for a discussion segment about the media, Washington DC, and President Trump as a threat to the established political order.

Attkisson presents a smart summary of President Trump, the media perspectives, and how his policies and agenda items represent an existential threat to the administrative state of DC.   Good watch:

Sharyl Attkisson is very intelligent – a woman of integrity. I believe Tucker Carlson to be the same.

To hear the two of them discuss the problems with the media is encouraging – a relief, actually. They are more believable than 99% of the rest of the pundits and reporters.

Sharyl Attkisson did work for CBS — I think it is — the one where Scott Pelley was/is the anchor. She did good investigative reporting on Fast and Furious but because it incriminated the Obama administration, she couldn’t get her work through the corporate censor at CBS (I think — could have been ABC or NBC — I forget which) so she resigned and went independent.

She claims her computer was hacked — that she hired an outside computer firm that told her ONLY a gov. agency had the tools to do what was done.

She wrote a book about her experiences called “Stonewalled”. I highly recommend it.

I consider them a gift because our President and his administration will have accomplished so much by the time they are done MAGA. It keeps their morons occupied and off the streets. Cities are not burned down.

    ‘The Game Politicians Play’:
“The career politicians class is the quintessential predatory clique. If you remember and understand any aspect about politics, let it be the nature of the people who devote their lives to a band of thieves. Forget about the seeming dissimilarities in ideology, the political culture maintains a common conduct. Ignore the rhetoric that resembles opposing viewpoints, the club of controllers protects each other. And if you ever believed in heroes and are still waiting for a savior, your disappointment will eventually turn into despair. What sustains the process of government are the deception of its vice and the refusal of the public to admit that the game never changes. … ”

  13. Loved her statement that she doesn’t take any news story at face value anymore. I go out most mornings to Village Inn for breakfast and from what I see, the day of the newspaper is over. I see lot’s of people reading their iPad or smart phone for their news.( yes I know that too has to be vetted}. The outside paper dispenser still has papers even at mid morning. I think the TV news is on it’s last leg too.

I’m trying to cut the cord with Drudge, too. I find his format so easy to scan, however, so it’s been a challenge. Citizenfreepress is EXCELLENT and I’m learning to use it, but Drudge was always my go -to. It was difficult to give up Fox Noise, too, but once I figured out I was wasting my time watching because I really couldn’t trust them not to spit out the Establishment/Globalist Party Line, I moved on. It’ll happen with Drudge as well. Too bad. The Matt Drudge of the 90’s was cutting edge. My guess is like everything else, liberals infiltrated Drudge and began to gradually transform his page. I’ve seen this happen repeatedly through the years. A new org. arrives — conservative or unbiased at first — gets a lot of interest – liberals see the interest – don’t like an alternative viewpoint being promotes – apply and get jobs — move up in org. — get into positions of hiring — hire only liberals. Eventually the org. is just another liberal voicebox. It happened to NCIS (writers), is happening to Blue Bloods (again writers), happened to the forum in my town, AND happened to Drudge.

No, it isn’t. This is a producer, which isn’t that high up. The three who resigned were actually more important than this guy.

“The story’s author, Thomas Frank, was among those who resigned, according to a network executive who requested anonymity because the person was not authorized to discuss personnel issues. Also losing their jobs were Eric Lichtblau, an assistant managing editor in CNN’s Washington bureau, and Lex Harris, head of the investigations unit.”

Here’s an op-ed submission from May 22nd that never got a look. A little long but I think it mirrors Sharyl’s comments and this is the right place for it.

The Elite – Why are they so terrified?
They’ve waited in line for 20, 30, perhaps 40 or more years. No one is going to challenge their status and their place in line.

It is so fascinating and so amazing what has happened to our world and especially to the elites in the past six months. The utter panic and allergic reaction among the elite to a non-politician attaining the highest office in the land is remarkable. This dramatic and derisive reaction is not bound by political affiliation among politicians or media, whereas for the rest of the nation, this development has split us right down the middle like most political matters of late. The traditional allies of a republican President are scarce with Fox a shell of itself and Republican Senators and Congressman at best qualifying any complimentary remarks for the President and his policies.

This should give us pause and make us all wonder why. This behavior (primarily in DC and New York) is stunningly unusual. It is not politics as usual… and that is refreshing. The devolution of governance has been halted and the status quo (which is what the elite want more than anything) will not stand. The impact and turmoil has already forced all of the elite from their comfort zones, but they are eager to get back to those cozy places so they will fight like hell presently.

Why? In most cases, they’ve worked far to hard for their entire careers, for most of their lives to achieve what they have (including their reputation) and to have the stepping stones neatly in front of them to get everything else they want. From their high ground, no one is going to challenge that… especially some jerk that was never in the club. The elite have played the game, have paid their dues, and made the sacrifices (in their own eyes) to arrive where they are. They may have bent a few rules, challenged their own integrity, made some questionable calls, or even completely and unabashedly sold their soul; but in the grand scheme of things (in their own minds) it was for the good of their family, for the good of the organization, for the good of the country. That’s the way the brain works for just about all of us and you can be certain the elite are oblivious to any deep introspection or crisis of conscience. They are entirely too vested individually and collectively to attain objectivity.

Additionally, the collective side of this psychosis is a monster… a massive machine with gravity and defense mechanisms that are simply awesome. The gravity towards status quo is traditionally powerful enough to keep all in check. The flurry of reactions recently indicates the elite are not comfortable and, unfortunately, it appears they are willing to get extreme. So unfortunate because there is so much opportunity before us and that opportunity is as much there for them as it is for us. Of course, they have more to risk and therein lies the rub. They will not step outside the system they’ve been raised in; they can’t imagine it and they fear it. Truly sad.

It should be painfully obvious that group-think prevails and dominates among elites. (I suppose you’re quickly ostracized and/or kicked out of the club if you stray.) Presumably, there was a time in each of the elite’s past or in generations past that they appreciated independence, critical thought, and risk. It would be comforting, interesting, and just plain better if we could see some bravery and diversity of viewpoints among the elite. I’m just not counting on it, so with any luck, this little revolt (the Trump election) will spark and, hopefully, we’ll jump to light speed and experience an enlightenment. Our time in history is amazing and wonderful, but it could be so much more and right now the entrenched elite are holding us back because they are terrified of losing their place in line and something other than the status quo.

Fox News blew it when after they let Greta go; they could have picked up Sharyl as an investigative journalist instead of what we have today with the Five, Tucker and Dana Perino. Excellent interview. It mirrors Sundance’s terrific four part series on why congress doesn’t get anything done concerning President Trump’s agenda.

The critters don’t know how to write a bill unless a lobbyist tells ’em what to do. Their jobs, bank accounts and need for power are all being threatened by this outsider. Similarly, the media don’t know how to pursue actual journalism anymore after years of being bobble heads for administrations who don’t do anything newsworthy. All they have now is total disgust for a figure who is a real patriot – something they have never encountered.

Back in 2013, I spent an afternoon with my cousin, Leslie Stahl. I brought up Sharyl Atkinson’s name and how i thought she was one of the few in the MSM who was unafraid to speak her mind even when it seemed that she was in hot water with the higher ups at CBS. Leslie rolled her eyes at me and did not reply. I lost a great deal of respect for Leslie that day. What surprises me the most about Sharyl is that after being grounded by the higher ups at CBS a few years ago, that they then gave her her own Sunday morning show. I still have not figured that one out…

    • Sayit2016 says:

Wonder why she rolled her eyes? No offence against your cousin but she appears to be biased?

      • Deb says:

They are all biased, as Atkisson illustrates. Atkisson has made a lot of enemies becuase of her reporting.

“In 2008, Attkisson reported that a claim by Hillary Clinton to have dodged sniper fire in Bosnia was unfounded: Clinton’s trip to Bosnia was risky, Attkisson said, but no real bullets were dodged. Attkisson was on the trip with Clinton.[16] The day after Attkisson’s report on the CBS Evening News, Clinton admitted there was no sniper fire and said she “misspoke.” ”

Atkisson also published a book on Fast and Furious and was investigating Benghazi when a government entity hacked her personal computer.

Perhaps Stahl is just jealous that Atkinson is smarter, younger, and prettier with a shelf full of Emmys for her work.
