Details Emerge on FBI “National Security” Raid in Dearborn Michigan…

Two days ago the FBI, DHS and a joint anti-terrorism command force raided a home in Dearborn Michigan.  At the request of the FBI the media was intentionally ambiguous as to the nature of the raid leading to some speculative reporting.

Media Report:

In the aftermath of the raid some details have emerged. The house raided was occupied by  Samer ElDebek, a Lebanese American truck driver with ties to New York.

According to Arab-American News ElDebek lived in New York and left for Lebanon approximately 8 years ago. He returned to the U.S., and after a time back in New York he relocated to Dearborn about 10 months ago.

The raid was described by the FBI as “a national security issue”. Samer ElDebek has been arrested on federal charges of providing material support to terrorist organizations and receiving military training from them.

The search warrant was issued by a federal judge in New York and states the purpose of the warrant for “explosive materials and/or a manual of how to make them”.

Agents removed boxes containing 90 sparkling birthday candles and several boxes of “Grizzly Shot” fireworks. In addition the FBI seized phones, an iPad and Samer ElDebek’s passport.

The family said the high-powered fireworks did not belong to him, but rather to a neighbor who they share a garage with.  Mr. Samer ElDebek is scheduled for arraignment tomorrow, June 5th, in New York.

wow Glad I am safe from all this terrorist nonsense here in Michigan. Sigh I have been to Dearborn. The greenfield village Christmas celebration is great. Unfortunately a few miles away and you are either standing in what looks like a bombed out city from WWII or a street that looks like downtown Baghdad. In either neighborhood there are not a lot of friendlies about.

    • I know. There is an area in Lewiston, ME that’s become a foreign land. Thanks to Catholic Charities for that. I’m not sure there is anywhere safe from the terrorists, though. You, or your loved ones all will at some point travel, go to a concert or sporting event, visit a market or mall. This cannot stand- there are no words for the evil…..(whew,,,,take a breath!) I pray that we as a nation have the strength and the will to fight and repel these murderers and the ideologies that compel them. But so many of them are already here.

I am hoping this news channel is legit. Over two days I have read the house is owned by two different individuals, in addition to Huma’s brother. But did read it was occupied by a family who just arrived back from Lebanon and an “unnamed” was arrested.

Thinking as you, this has gotta be bigger than not.

Just wondering if this is related to the 21 person arrest of a car ring in N.Y. involving other states 2015-2016 time period? They were stealing BMW,s , Ferraris, etc. and shipping to West Africa. The one guy claimed that one of them may have been Rich shooter? Anyway, I heard that the Awan brothers were also in some kind of car business, etc…..

John Adams, 2nd President of the United States (a founding father) said of the future observance of the birthday of the country:
“I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated, by succeeding Generations, as the great anniversary Festival. It ought to be commemorated, as the Day of Deliverance by solemn Acts of Devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with Pomp and Parade, with Shews, Games, Sports, Guns, Bells, Bonfires and Illuminations from one End of this Continent to the other from this Time forward forever more.”
Though it’s not on the level of the second amendment’s protection of ownership of firearms, I think fireworks will be an enduring part of the observation of the Independence Day celebrations as Adams said, ” forever more.”

Most empires fell, some like Rome morphed down to its constituent states becoming independent countries. Nothing on earth is forever. To remain a free people, we MUST remember that and be mindful of how it can be brought down, from within. Some solemn remembrance for the generations that founded America, and passed onto us is only right. I asked how many July 4ths are left for my children and I.

I susoect the candles and fireworks that were seized are cover for what they really came for….the IPad, phones and possible other electronics. And why the secret as to the agents from the “other State”? I believe they were likely NY agents..and I believe this has to do with Weiner and Huma. Weiner got a plea deal…less prison time in exchange for ??? Could it be related to missing emails, laptop and thumb drive? Perhaps.

Dearbornistan is in southeastern MI near Detroit.

Most tourist areas are considered going “up north” but not necessarily the upper peninsula. It’s a big state. Like 200 miles north and four hours to get up north and away from Dearborn. It can feel like two different states.

The northern, eastern and western tourist areas are beautiful, peaceful, safe, quaint, fun and the places that you are the least likely to feel like you are at a UN meeting.

Gorgeous lakes, rural areas, sand dunes, farms.

      Liked by 7 people

      • Trumpire says:

Also, the population of MI is a little less than 10 million people.

Detroit has a population of 680,000. Down from two million before the riots in the 60s.

Dearbornistan has a population of 103,000 people and they are not all muslims. There are also Assyrians/Chaldeans/Lebanese/Poles.

Aside from the southeastern part of the state – Oakland county, Wayne county (Detroit, Dearborn), and Macomb county – the rest of the state is pretty much solidly red.

But even Macomb county voted for Trump. They are the famous Reagan Democrats who put Trump over the top to win Michigan.

Michigan is one of the few states that can offer you city life, Great Lakes coasts, dunes, mountains, and so much more.

If you come to Michigan, you can avoid Dearborn, but the rest of our state is wonderful. Remember, we helped put President Trump over the top!

Story is nearly two weeks old, but it also concerns MoI (Muslims of Interest) in the American Mid-West. It didn’t receive much attention at the time.

“There are growing concerns about the arrest of two brothers with ties to the Middle East who authorities say had an arsenal with bomb-making materials, guns and ammunition in their car.

Twenty-seven-year-old Abdullah Alrifahe and 26-year-old Majid Alrifahe were arrested on May 11 in north Minneapolis.

Abdullah is being held in the Hennepin County Jail. His brother, Majid, has been released and is facing minor charges.

WCCO-TV has confirmed that both Homeland Security and the FBI are involved in the investigation, which started outside a federally-subsidized senior housing project. A good Samaritan confronted the men about littering from their car.

The man, who asked that his name not be used for fear of his safety, said the brothers jumped out of their car, moved aggressively toward him and used the N-word. He then called police.

Inside the brothers’ car, police found a loaded AK-47, another rifle, a handgun, a grenade, large amounts of ammunition, and what would later be identified as bomb-making materials, including a drone.

Abdullah Alrifahe had recently been released from jail after serving time for a weapons conviction. He is now facing a single felony weapons charge.

His brother, Majid, has been released from jail and is facing a low-level misdemeanor charges, including disorderly conduct.”

My best hope in this matter is that the raid was set up by Trump loyalists to secure information, rather than set up by opposition forces bent on covering something up. While Trump is nominally the head of these agencies, I would never be surprised if a coverup team got together and tried to destroy evidence. At least in this case, enough people noticed that the good guys will be requiring a thorough account.

That’s in direct contradiction to original FBI statement. “National Security, no danger to public, no explosives” in addition those early reports from local media were no bomb squad involved in raid. So they look for explosives without dogs and a bomb squad. Is that a new procedure?

Arab American News gets the story as close as possible to the truth on Friday, and apparently, everyone else, including me, picks up the crafted one from this:

“Faulty reporting on an internet blog fueled speculation that the FBI raid was connected with Huma Abedin.

An internet blog called misreported that the raid took place at 7246 Jonathon Street. The blog also made an unsubstantiated claim that the house was owned by a shell company run by Huma Abedin’s brother and sister.

The FBI raid actually took place at 7242 Jonathon Street. The actual address was verified from photos and video from news organizations covering the raid.”

This was all reported, rather responsibly, with additional information by Rightwave Media. The link by SD to Arab American News also identified the NY Court to be the Southern District. I looked up the suspect’s name and found one from Brooklyn. I guess we will know more after the arraignment today.
