And to them I say: you have the blood of the Lord which flows through your veins. I am humbled by your history, your faith and your perseverance. May God always keep you and your land safe.

I do love Netanyahu but he’s so much more than Israel’s Prime Minister. He’s a war hero, having served in the IDF and Israeli Special Forces during Israel’s many wars and conflicts in the 60’s and 70’s. He’s has a BS and MS from MIT. He’s been elected Prime Minister four times, which shows the faith the Jewish people have in this great leader. That’s why it made my blood boil to see Obama stab Israel in the back today by abstaining instead of vetoing the UN resolution. I heard John Bolton speak about it tonight on Lou Dobbs.. He has no love for the UN and neither do I. He once stated: “There’s no such thing as the UN. If the United Nations Secretary building in NY lost 10 stories, it wouldn’t make a bit of difference.”.

We all knew Obama was anti-Israel and now that he’s a lame duck he’s showing his true colors even more blatantly then before. I imagine Bibi cannot wait for January 20th, 2017 to re-start normal, friendly relations again with the US.

The slobbering of Israel on this site is sickening. There is NO American interest there. None. Name one thing we gain from “being best friends” with Israel, other than the ire of people who were thrown off the land their fathers and grandfathers grew up on, and millions of Christians killed and driven out. The NeoCon/Jew wars and meddling have bled us and nearly bankrupted us. This has got to stop. I can’t believe how blind you all are to this.

Jack, you are looking at the Israeli issue through the prism of sheer politics. The relationship (as the Prime Minister noted in his Christmas address) is one of a shared culture of faith, peace and a reverence for the land that God chose to secure for his people and for his kingdom upon earth. It was never for us to decide which side we were on, If we are Christians we much protect the land of Israel, although there may be times that we might disagree with them on the process. Think first and foremost about your religious cultural heritage and you will then understand that this is not some slobbering exercise, but a conscious choice to stand with the people securing the land of God’s promise of his earthly kingdom.

All Rabbinic Judaism is directly descended from the teachings of the Pharisees. What we today call “Jews” are really the Synagogue of Satan or false Jews. When Jesus revealed the will of God, it was the Pharisees that called him a liar and had him killed. The Jews that embraced Jesus and indeed, anyone who believed in him are awarded the title of “God’s Chosen,” because they are Christians. The Jews believe, to this very day, that they did the right thing by having Jesus killed. They teach their children that Jesus is in hell boiling in excrement.

Every Christian needs to get this straight. The Jews = The Pharisees, the avowed enemies of Christ. The Jews run the porn industry just so they call legally pimp out Christian girls. Why else do you think Jewish Hollywood is so viciously anti-Christian? Why else would every Jewish organization be 100% devoted to flooding Christian countries with Muslims? Why are all these Christmas decorations being banned and Hanukkah decorations going up in their place?

“The slobbering of Israel”? “Sickening”? There is every interest in “being best friends” with Israel, the foremost being that the God of Christians is also the God of Judaism. How do I know? Because I am a Christian who believes what God says in His book, the Bible. And there He clearly says, “I will be an enemy to your enemies and will oppose those who oppose you.”

God will be an enemy to whomever is an enemy to His people, Israel. It does not matter how His children Israel have strayed, they remain His people whom He claimed.

So any person, people or nation who is enemies with Israel is an enemy to God.

That’s why I gladly “slobber” over God’s chosen children, Israel.

Check out Jewish History and you will see that there have been a million ways to kill off the Jews not just from Germany but from all over Europe in these last 5,000 years. Israel is the the Jewish homeland and in Israel they take good care Christ’s legacy. They call him Yehua and they welcome Christians to come to and visit places where Christ walked. There is also an area which is where Christians live and worship but any Christian is welcome at one of the many churches in Israel.

Besides Biblical reasons, which is more than enough by themselves, Israel is the oasis of peace – you should check this video by an ex-terrorist-wanna: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xCQEmeGfFmY.

Israel, nevertheless of being the target of pretty much everyone, is among the safest places to be in. They have approaches and strategies we could learn, only if we would listen to them. They have the best disaster team anywhere, and they often are the first ones to arrive at the damaged cities, recusing countless of people, entirely funded by the Israeli government.

Then Israel is the premium international technological center that are putting Silicon Valley to shame. Their contributions could make lives for many in Middle East countries much better and easier, and at low cost, only if they would open their hands and heart.

Those are just a few amazing things Israel is offering to the world. Now, only if a certain poster here would bother to read a bit more outside of the US mainstream news, AKA False News Media.

You are mistaken on several counts. For one, Israel is not responsible for “millions of Christians killed and driven out”. Christians were not driven out of Israel, in fact Israel is the only country in the ME where Christians have been consistently safe and free to practice their religion.

Another point is that it’s unfair to conflate “NeoCon” with “Jew”. Many, probably most, Jews are not “Neocons” and many “Neocons” are not Jews. Certainly Israel didn’t cause US involvement in wars, Israel wasn’t part of it and the US wasn’t participating in Israel’s wars.

The US has substantial interests in Israel. Not only does Israel share vital intelligence with the US, Israel is also a partner in research and development of advanced weapons systems, for example, missile defense. Israel is second only to the US in technology startups. Many US tech enterprises have R&D facilities in Israel for that reason. The economic and defense industry ties to Israel are substantial and beneficial to the US.

You act like Israel “shares intelligence” with the U.S. out of charity or goodwill. You do know we’ve given Israel $124 billion in aid since 1948, don’t you? Wouldn’t you expect them to share stuff? I know I would.

And just as a reality check, the primary U.S. strategic interest in the Middle East is now and has always been oil. Not promoting settlements in the Occupied Territories.

Oh we get plenty from the relationship with Israel. $4B or so a year in cash and military armaments for a nation that attacked us (USS Liberty), spied on us (Pollard) and crushes U.S. politicians who dare utter a peep about the true nature of this twisted relationship (Chuck Percy & Pete McCloskey are two good examples).

But I have to give Netanyahu credit. He’s a slick used car salesman. He knows Evangelical Christians love Israel, not because they love Jews, but because they think they can convert them — after Armageddon. This is religious nuttery 101. But it’s useful to Israel. Christians keep donating cash and keep visiting the Holy Land, and Israel rings the register.

Look, if Trump demands financial accountability from Lockheed, why not Israel? They’ve been at the government trough since 1948.

Scott, USS Liberty and Pollard are water under the bridge. Look into the $4B in aide and it is mostly armaments that are built in USA by American workers and they have clauses that require Israel to buy x amount of follow-on purchases. As for USS Liberty attack, that was ’67 I think – heck, one of our best allies is UK and once they set the White House on fire. It is also nice to have Mossad as an ear to the ground in ME.

If you question America’s ties to Israel (a country) you are labeled a Jew-hater (a religion). If you point out that Neo-Conservatism was a Trotsky-ite Jew operation through and through (Irving Kristol, their founder, was a rabid Trotsky-ite), you’re a hater. It doesn’t matter the American blood that was spilled and the American treasure that was traded to de-stabilize the Middle East from 1988 to 2016 in order to Make Israel Great Again.

Again I ask, what is the benefit to America of being “best friends” with Israel? It benefits Israel immensely, but what does it do for us? They have no oil, which is, presumably, our only interest in the region. Why are we best friends with a country that has no oil if our whole rational for even being in that part of the world is for oil? If Israel and Islam are locked in a death struggle, why has ISIS not attacked Israel? They’ve poked the Russian Bear, so it’s not because they’re afraid of a fight. Who’s paying them? Who started these color revolutions in the Middle East and in North Africa? Cui bono, who benefits?

      Jack,

Are you a Christian? Your answer to that one question will be your answer to the question you ask, “..what is the benefit to America of being “best friends” with Israel?”

The only answer is because God says so.

When you were a kid and your parents said, ‘…because we said so,’ that’s all it took (or should have been).

When you’re pulled over for speeding and you have to do something because the Police officer tells you, you do it because they say so.

God chose who would be His people, and they are the Jews, the people of Israel. They were God’s chosen people — they still are God’s chosen people. It is God who decides who His people are, period. Of course there may be those writing on this blog who believe they are god and can make up their own “rules” — but I would ask those folks to read God’s responses to Job to get a better understanding of who we are next to The Sovereign God.

God has blessed America. Without a doubt. God sent Jesus. Without a doubt. Because God’s chosen people Israel did not welcome their Savior, Jesus, God grafted gentiles (people who are not God’s chosen people) into the branch of His salvation. Like a spoiled rich kid who loses his toys that are then given to the servants kids, God gave His children’s blessings to some of us low lives, and for that I/we are eternally grateful.

Every person sins, but God’s chosen people turned their backs on their Messiah. God has not turned His back on His chosen people, but has left a remnant that will one day rise up in love for their Savior, Jesus Christ The Lord, before Christ returns, fulfilling God’s call upon His redeemed.

In the realm of God stuff America is of no interest — especially when we remember the entire earth is God’s footstool. Going by what God says via the Bible, America’s “benefit” to being friends with Israel is we are not enemies to God. Something a Christian would never want.

Operation Thunderbolt? The rescue of the Israeli hostages from the hijacked Air France plane June 1976 where they were separated from the non-Jewish passengers and sent on to be held at Entebbe airport in Uganda? A deadly combination of partners: the murderous German Bader Meinhoff gang, the Front for the Liberation of Palestine and the cannibal dictator of Uganda, Idi Amin.

In an act that astounded the entire world, with only a few days to prepare and the clock running out, Israeli commandos flew from Israel to Uganda, rescued the hostages and brought them back to Israel. The only Israeli commando casualty was Yoni Netanyahu, Bibi Netanyahu’s brother, mortally wounded in Entebbe.

Full of Ugandans who had fled Amin’s terror, Kenya allowed the Israelis to secretly refuel in Kenya to be able to return to Israel. Kenya has never been forgiven for that and has suffered numerous terror attacks and the loss of hundreds of innocent African lives. When the neighboring Tanzanian Army finally ran Idi Amin out of the country he’d destroyed – terrorized with thousands upon thousands of Ugandans murdered, Amin fled to Saudi Arabia to live out the rest of his life in protected comfort leaving Ugandans to uncover the mass graves of their people, those victims that hadn’t been fed to the crocodiles.

I can also present a whole book (the bible) that is the basis of western civilization and morality and of course Christ who was speaking the same language that is spoken now in Israel. But I choose to now present you with the best explanation of the Israeli Arab conflict that I could find. I think it will clarify what is going on there.

America will forever be intertwined with Israel as we come from them through bloodlines. Many forget the history of people. Many nations were scattered abroad when the twelve tribes of Israel (Jacob) were dispersed throughout the world…some believe that the ten lost tribes are among us now and even they may not know they are part of said ten tribes.

Jesus, a Jew, was rejected by his people, fulfilling OT prophecy, as the Savior of the world. God ordained the land of Israel as his land for His people. We Americans and others throughout the world are in a process right now of restoring those rights to God’s chosen people. This also does not mean that Americans of Gentile descent can not be grafted into the family of God’s chosen people as I do believe we are when we accept Him as our Savior and Redeemer.

I will always stand with Israel and its right to its chosen land. America is also a chosen land above all others as well as long as we live faithfully and are obedient to God’s commandments. Columbus just didn’t happen to find this land by chance…he wrote in his journal he felt he was led by the Spirit to this choice land.

There’s a lot of differing opinions on whether Jesus was actually jewish. He may have been Judean (this is not proven either as he may have been from Galilee) but just because someone lived in Judea doesn’t make one “jewish”. We didn’t begin to use the word jewish (as it is used today) until the late 18th Century. Obviously, Jesus was alive much before then.

You can google this issue. Just don’t expect Google to tell you the truth on this matter upon first click. You have to review several different links, research thoroughly, and reach your own conclusions.

I have serious concerns re: the bibles we are reading today. Much of the biblical material today is recently fabricated zionist propaganda that is disseminated for political purposes (i.e. Jesus was the “king of the jews”). It’s no different from the textbooks children read in schools (we know how politicized this material can be).

People, to the extent they can, need to do thorough research and not just believe certain things because a) politician or a new-wave pastor tells us it is the case; b) google tells us it is the case; c) the bible published in 2012 tells us so.

And I’ll go a step further and remind everyone that the jews has Jesus arrested and this led to Jesus’ execution. Just remind yourself of that fact before you thoughtlessly blurt out that Jews and Christians worship the “same God.”

My goal is to stimulate thought and conversation and not to offend anyone. Merry Christmas.

I can understand the ‘animus’ some may have toward one group: Jews, Christians, Muslims, Hindus..etc, etc. We ALL are products of our environment and educational systems. In any given culture you will find political discourse to confirm one’s misgivings, or one’s love and acceptance of others. No on can escape the inherent prejudice or predilection found in one’s on world without research, understanding and wisdom.

Even with the ‘new’ Bibles, ‘new’ research, ‘new’ evidence….none of it should automatically assumed to be superior to another generation’s efforts to understand Christ, His world, and the evidence available. For those wishing to gain in depth knowledge of Christ and His Life…I would point any reader to a book originally produced in the late 1800″…and is STIlL in print today. In fact, you can read it, research it ONLINE for free. But you would be better to buy your copy of ‘The Life and Times of Jesus the Messiah’ by ALFRED EDERSHEIM, M.A.Oxon., D.D. Ph.D. This epic, one volume tome will immerse you in the daily life of Jesus and His world. Read it with the thought that NONE of the modern day tendency towards revisionism is present.

Eidersheim opens the people, the culture, the land, the religious and political worlds to us as they existed then. His walks along the hills, the valleys, the still small villages, the old settlements, the shorelines move one to almost ‘see’ this world anew. His description of how hard life was, how angry religious authorities were, how hard the Romans were, and how Authentically Jesus met every social group and proclaimed the Kingdom of God is breathtaking.
Jesus moved among the authorities in the Tabernacle, the courtyards, the market places with ease. He met people where they were. He met them on the roads, in the hills, on the side of the mountains. He met them in the ‘forbidden’ areas, he cleansed those who were outcasts.
Jesus loved people, and they loved him. Jew, Gentile, Samaritan, Roman soldier…he loved them all. It would seem we might try to understand His world AND His encounter and response to those around Him before we begin to dismiss ‘Those Jews’. Or any group outside of our own. His followers were Jews, those who took him from the cross were Jews, those who bathed His body for burial were Jews, and it was Jews who witnessed and proclaimed His resurrection. It was a small band of Jews who set the world on fire with the New Goods…..the same Good News Christians hear to day. And Yes, there are Jews who believe in Christ: The Messianic Jews still exist.
